  1. First, I am 80 hours in and love playing the game! Thanks for update 1.2 which fixed the dew collector, mushroom garden, etc. spawning issues. I am very excited for future content in the game. I would like to suggest that if any armor, weapon or tool items are equipped in the inventory screen (placed in the arm or armor slots) those items should no longer occupy any of the backpack inventory slots. Currently, any equipped item also occupies a backpack inventory slot as well. My thinking is that if a player equips an item in the arm or armor slots, they are "taking out" the item from the backpack inventory to use so that item should no longer occupy one of the backpack inventory slots. This would allow players to have more backpack inventory slots.

  4. I think the ability to retract the bow is needed. Let's say Im using the bow and aiming at something but it flees. Now, Im stuck with the only option is to shoot my arrow then retrieve it. I should be able to retract the bow and not waste that time shooting the arrow at nothing since my target fled.

  5. Fortnite got removed from Apple and Google stores after trying to bypass the obligatory pay cut to said companies. Epic sues both Apple and Google. Epic claimes an absurd high moral ground by trying to rally it's mostly underage demographic against the corporate overlord Apple: Nothing speaks genuine, like pre-rendered Orwell video ready for release. I hope at least the kids will read 1984.

  8. Some more information (though not much) on Intel's consumer GPU offerings via Architecture Day. External fab, hardware RT, launch 2021 expected. A few other interesting bits like them licensing a GDDR controller rather than designing their own. Otherwise, not much from the event unless you're interested in laptops (better iGPUs/ Tigerlake SoCs) or are invested in making jokes about Intel's node size conventions: Tigerlake now isn't 10nm++ but 10nm SuperFin. Presumably, AlderLake will now be 10nm SuperDuperFin instead of 10nm+++. They've also retconned Cannonlake's 10nm iteration to be 10nm- presumably to stop people calling icelake's process 10nm+. Of all the things wrong Intel responds to it's memes about 14nm++++++.

  9. Sure if you wanna be a quitter. Thinking about it, for the longest time though I thought I should be cremated when I die. But now I wanna get buried just so I can get have a nice tombstone somewhere with "But my backlog." as an epitaph.

  10. Well, that would be the point, really. Having Obsidian design an open world fantasy RPG that doesn't jettison every other system and all semblance of game design, for the sake of the open world. Getting combat akin to Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, for instance, would be a good start. Also, I thought Skyrim was already the shallow version of Skyrim.

  11. I been having a blast playing Grounded. Everybody already bought up bug tamimg. Yet I have a recommendation on the control for Xbox. If no else mentioned the hot bar selection is a bit awkward to function. Especially during fights instead of holding the LB button and using the joystick to select the slot. Can there be a button combination like tap LB for slot 1, LB + x is slot 2 and so on. Hope this help so the control scheme aleast for console can be improved.

  12. i get that, i agree it shouldn't be a sim type enviro, but i don't want it to be Ark Survival: Grounded either. What drew me to the game is the shrunken aspect, i've wanted a game like this for decdes since the movie came out and the kids had to survive in the yard. That and the minimalistic basics we have. I don't want to see it get to techie like ark, building machine guns and bug based turrets. I'd rather see a carrot on a stick type concept like riding pigs in minecraft. Pigs can't be tamed, but they can be used to ride. If Obsidian could do this concept for pack muling also to carry supplies. i think it'd be a win win.

  13. I remember watching the BCS National Championship in '05 with Texas and USC. I hate both teams. Mostly I thought, "Hmm. Maybe the stadium can be sucked into a vortex." Watching Apple/Google and Tencent I find myself thinking the exact same thing.

  14. Yeah basic water filter is good too. Sand, Charcoal and a funnel carry filter. But I was thinking more of a upgraded place able that produces more water then the tier 1 dew collector. Like a tier 2 Dew collector with a larger web net. But I was thinking lab tech stuff. Could be from Raw Science tech. Like a Watch battery and a small motor pump with a reverse osmosis filters. You place machine near dirty water and it pumps it in to filter and can have a clean water tank for it to dump filtered water into with like 20 or 30 or 40 water dews capacity like a huge water tank. And you would need to keep it fed with watch batteries or some other kind of battery to run the reverse osmosis machine. But probably later down the road when we get more yards/places to explore. Something like these Shrunk. But yeah probably overkill solo but would be cool anyway. I could see it in late game with more yards and or area to explore and larger co-op games.

  15. I personaly feel like taming would be a great addition but as long as is in a kind of symbiotic relationship. for example lets say a spider, you can tame it, ride it, and fight with it but you must give it shelter, food, and other necesities. the better you treat it the better it will become, but if you dont treat it properly then it will turn on you and try to murder you.

  16. If they can split the taming between having a mount and using one as a pack mule i'd be for it. we don't need mounts, i'd hate to see this turn into ARK. but if we could do something like a carrot on a stick (or in this case hotdog piece on a stick) for the worker ants to help haul things for us, that would be cool I don't see any need for flying, the dandelion fluff is fine for slowing falling Agree with @01d Guy they want us to build traps and such. I'd rather see ropes included and a hanging net to keep the ants out. no need for high tech, a basic filtration system, again like @01d Guy mentioned, would do just as well if not better. To expand on his idea, you could make a funnel with plant fibers and woven fiber, fill with sand and charcoal and a piece of plant fiber to filter the mud puddle and such water right into your grub canteen. Limited use, maybe 6 or 8 times before it "breaks", breaking meaning the sand and charcoal is gunked up to much to work anymore. Sand would be found in various locations in the map, and charcoal from the cooking spit.

  17. The are likely stuck somewhere in the map. The area I would check is the step stones at the pond or by the picnic area. Best way to kill them off is by using a gas arrow. Don't forget to use a gas mask for yourself too.

  18. I am the drama. A guy gets chewed out for missing a dps check or failing a tank mechanic, and you think that of me? No. I am the one who kicks him out of the raid! I get what you mean. I've been involved in some pretty toxic **** and made a commitment to avoid that. Whenever there's even a whiff of that, I just gtfo. I've had some luck finding raid groups that were fairly drama-free, but it's not always the case. You just gotta learn to smash that eject button hard and fast. I am not about to babysit (nominal) adults.

  19. I agree. Doing this will create its own issues, but will be more realistic. If you have something in your hand, or are wearing it, it shouldn't be in your backpack. If you have your tools and armor, there isn't much space left for collecting resources.

  20. the game ui is developed on pc for pc but in porting over to consoles you strip away functionality and force controler use even with the ui and button configurations still developed for keyboard and mouse. the keyboard functions as normal (YES CONSOLES HAVE USB PORTS) but not the mouse. controling a character in a video game that was developed for one controle meathod with a diffrent contole method creats several problems. for example dozens of unused funtions that would be handy in general gameplay become unusable unles you stop and reconfigure you buttons every time you change tasks. even looking around or aiming at targets becomes cumbersome when the aplication of the controles dont match the system provided. we know the game has mouse support on pc we know consoles can use keyboard and mouse(lots of paid and free games give mouse support) so why not give console players the option to use the original controle set the game is being developed with.

  22. This issue is known and it made my pc crash everytime. I had about 9 light sources on one of my bases and my entire pc would randomly reboot itself because the GPU would crash. Once I shut the lights off suddenly game runs perfectly. I can only have like 3 or 4 on at a time. This isn't a hardware issue but rather an in-game issue. The developers are aware of it and they will hopefully fix this on a later update.

  23. I made cheddar & broccoli soup to take on the road with me when I go back to work tomorrow. I haven't actually eaten a bowl of it yet, but I licked the ladle after I finished transferring it to tupperware bowls and it was delicious. Butter, white onion, carrot, clove of garlic, broccoli florets, chicken stock, half & half, shredded cheddar, corn starch to thicken, salt & pepper to taste.

  28. I'd like to see taming in partial form personally, but only have it applicable to pet type creatures. Having a pet Aphid/Weevil chilling at home, in some sort of dog house would be really cool. It could be attached to whatever structure needs to be built to house it and unable to roam too far away from it so that it stays within your base. I don't like the idea of combat tames as, like you said, it's easy to lose scale of threat and exploration if you have a mountable spider or something.

  29. You'd be surprised just how far arrogance and an air of superiority can get you. People, especially in large groups, are idiots, so if you carry yourself like you're better than they are, a shockingly large percentage will just believe you.

  30. The writing in this game.... powerful. I finished WM and I think I'm almost done with Hollowing. Between the cutscenes, the storyboard parts, the music, the writing... this has seriously won a place among my top 10 favorite games of all time. Probably booting out a AAA title too. Lol.
