  1. Went to a 1* Michelin restaurant named Renaa, and was not dissapointed. Warm service from beginning to end, including a guided tour of the hotel they recently moved in to. The dishes (of which there were around 20), were mostly based on Norwegian sea food. The wine pairings were sublime, and we even got some extra wines since the sommelier noticed that we were wine buffs. I feel like a lot of Michelin restaurants in Europe don't really deserve their star(s), but in this case more of them would be warranted.

  2. I recall you being Polish, which made the change of location to Belfast curious. Why the move, work-related I presume? Regarding Dunkirk, I see from a quick search that we've discussed it before, right here: I still abscribe to what I've written there, and really I think both Dunkirk and, funny enough, Interstellar have only solidified themselves as favorites from Nolan's output to my eyes over time, second maybe The Prestige. I do think part of it has to do with Hoyte van Hoytema's excellent photography as usual but also his influence on Nolan over time - Nolan's claimed in past interviews that he's watched films like Tarkovsky's The Mirror or Bresson's work through Hoytema's recommendation and both of these have served as influence to Interstellar and Dunkirk respectively. Looking forward to Tenet next year too, which should mark their third collaboration.

  3. Safer and more free don't go together. Every time government promises more safety it's at the expense of freedom. We already have a system where everyone has a real chance of getting education, work and decent healthcare. The problem is many people waste this chance and then claim they didn't have it in the first place. It would be heaven on earth if any government was half as reliable as the mafia

  5. Reminded of that quote from Green Mars - “That's libertarians for you — anarchists who want police protection from their slaves.”

  6. I don't care how it happens. Through pure accident of birth, we in the West are BORN with an inalienable right to food, shelter, education and medicine paid for with someone else's dime. Im at the point in my life where Im ready to cash in so we need get this ball rolling asap.

  7. Im 100% for raising taxes, on "the rich" nats. Im anxious to jumpstart a socialist system in the US in time for me and my family to take advantage of it. Promise me a free mortgage, free college and free healthcare and you've got my vote for life!

  9. No. Your comment is needless hyperbole. There was no hate in the post, there was criticism. One of the very unfortunate recent developments in discussion culture is precisely this: when someone else criticises something you happen to like, it is often called hate. It's generally unnecessary and doesn't improve discussion at all.

  11. Had fun playing Deadfire but I think I will take a break from it for a while. It sure is breathtaking though. The first island I named. ... as well as little buggy. I came down the deck and realized that one of my crew had no head. Aloth passed out during a fight and refused to get up so for a while I had a unconscious body sliding around on the floors like a roomba.

  12. I got done with hosting my extended family, the house is quiet again. I quit my job and I'm searching for a new one. I also went to a jazz concert today. The food was a little too overpriced for my liking but it was a free event and the music was exceptional. I think today was a good day.

  14. Anyone else remember these? They're from the 50's originally I believe. My mom had one and I loved it. I need such a thing more than ever now (rubber circles are no longer quite enough at times) but all the new fangled jar openers are too bizarre, too large/awkward, too cheap/annoying. One store on the web apparently is making or at least selling the one I like again (or something) but I don't know them from Adam, so do I go for it. A reseller on Amazon has it but they're charging more than twice the price of the actual webstore, lol. Anyone have a fave jar opener tool they like? I need grip twist/leverage strength, one-hand tool (other hand on jar).

  18. We love a good gamble in England. Every other shop in any town/city is a gambling shop. We should reduce the legal age, let everyone have a gamble! Why not! These companies need to make money right? What do we need it for?! All we need is a can of Super Tennant's or Special Brew, bi weekly dole payment and a tracksuit and just hang outside of William Hill get plastered from 9am.

  19. I think I stepped through a portal into some Bethesda game... I was only going to build a small outpost to capture thralls. Got the capturing part down. Might have slightly failed in the "small" department though... The huge circular(-ish) roof was a nightmare to build. I still want to add a Set temple somewhere, at some point. Open roof over the Wheel of Pain and kitchen right next door for some added persuasive powers. Can't have Keyrock claim I'm a softie again! Since I have no real reason to start any new building projects in my single player save I've gone back to the bucket list: Killed the undead dragon, was a tad easier than I expected (but I expected it to be really really nasty, so there's that) The giant spider, on the other hand, was a lot nastier than I expected... Killed all the different dragon types (Red, Green and White). I mean, that's something you have to do at least once in our life, amirite? Killed the White Dragon a few times to get a head for a trophy, after a bit of Googling it turns out the White Dragon Head Trophy is not implemented yet. Whelp. Still to go: Completing the Warmaker's Sanctuary dungeon and dealing with some other new bosses added in that recent update (already fought the boss birds, those are nasty as hell) Craft the Heart of the Sands (so I can then create the item to remove the bracelet as I have all the other parts), which means I need to get past the whiptail cats that have shredded me each time I've tried. Different approach appears to be required (might bring a thrall to deal with them, for a change, I usually don't use them, except for bearers) Completing the last few Journey steps ("only" 5 to go....)

  20. O M G. I finally made it aswell. Currently uploading my files to youtube, but it may take a while because I only have like 1.5 Mbit upload. #Feelsbadman I f***ed up so hard in the end at Guardian of Ukaizo but still made it. Also my Deltro's Cage Helmet somehow bugged out and did nothing for the last part of my playthrough. Didn't work for Auranic, Ukaizo. No clue why. For the last part I was drinking some beer with a friend because I thought it will be easy anyways. But Guardian of Ukaizo was actually tanky as hell with the Megaboss Buff, almost died to a storm aswell like a noob.... You'll see it all when I am done uploading. I hope Obsidian will approve my run when I am done with the uploading.

  22. TBH the Amazons had me at "combat penguin". I'm on the fence on this game though, there's a bunch of thing about it I find appealing (and Michiel van den Bos is always a big plus), but OTOH I always have the same grievances with 4X games and most factions aren't my cup of tea. Plus I know AoW 3 let you mix and match races with leader classes and that's missing here? I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

  23. I have checked it just now: Clear Out with mortar (in MH) and melee weapon (in OH) will use the mortar. Clear Out with melee weapon (in MH) and mortar (in OH) will use melee weapon. Mule Kick with mortar (in MH) and melee weapon (in OH) will use melee weapon. Mule Kick with melee weapon (in MH) and mortar (in OH) will use melee weapon. And without melee weapon (in at least one hand), you can't use these abilities at all (and icons are greyed out) P.S. AoE Mule Kick works fine with WotEP though.

  24. I finally beat the bounty but even tho I'm not particular proud of the speed (16+ minutes with pausing, less than 5 mins without) and the way it ended (me being down to almost dead) I will not spend any more time on this and move on with Tyranny. It's been a lot of fun to see how high I could get the ciphers defenses (160 in each category) I didn't expect that before I started this build. For everything but Magran's faithful this should be a faceroll char, but compared to the chanter you just sorely lack Area DoT. This char should be a lot of fun for dragon fights, since you can get your fort way over 200 without trying too much, for the 160ih fort in this vid I had something like 5 or 6 Con, since fort just didn't seem important in this fight. I tried a couple of weapons for this, but had to end up with a hatchet since I lacked 5 deflection to get 60% misses by the soldiers even if flanked. Best weapon in my opinion is Strike Hard Warhammer and for anything but this bounty 155 deflection should be fine (Deflection is also important since the druids hit deflection with one of their fire attacks, sadly you would need even 15 more deflection to get 60% misses) If anyone wants me to do a class build and fight vs bog dragons (and maybe Brynlod) I can do this once I finished my first tyranny playthru. Here's the vid vs Magran's and I don't mind any criticisms/input ideas, just keep in mind I tried most the stuff you already posted here and couldn't include all of it in the fight. https://youtu.be/kSKho4PdiWs
