Welcome to the new and updated list of current builds from these boards.

The actual list is down below (scroll down a bit).

Each of the several classes and multiclasses in the game are listed below in alphabetical order (single classes first, then multiclasses), with each build listed alphabetically underneath. If there's no build yet for a class/multiclass then you won't find the class name/section. I will add those once class builds come flying in. I don't order by subclasses. If you think I should and can tell my why I will consider it. :) For each build you'll find a short descriptor, an indication of the game version it was built for and/or it uses gear and abilities from, and whether it has been meant or tested for solo play.

---
DISCLAIMER: SOLO PLAY
I assume solo play to be untested for all builds that do not explicitly mention solo play in the OP. If anyone tested any of these builds for solo play and would like their experience to be reflected in this thread, please PM me specifying the build you used, the difficulty you tried, and whether you could beat the game. Similarly, if you want your build's descriptor updated, contact us with the updated descriptor.

DISCLAIMER II: THREAD NAMING/TAGGING
Included in this list are only builds that got send via PM or posted with the "class build" or "build" tag or with [CLASS BUILD] in the title. Since there is so much info posted atm I can't search the forums for every untagged build/build idea that is floating around. If your build is missing, please PM me with the relevant information (link, descriptor, game version, solo play) and I will add it.

DISCLAIMER III: LABELS

Builds can get tagged with different labels. At the moment there are three: |HOT| marks builds that got a substantical amount of feedback from the community (in form of responses, currently 20+), |POPULAR| will be put on builds that have surpassed a certain number of likes (currently 10+). Unmaintained builds or builds that won't work anymore because of patches will get tagged with |DEPRECATED| until they get updated. If they don't get updated they might get removed eventually after some time. Builds that need a mod (for example to unlock certain subclasses that are otherwise only usable by NPCs or companions) to work will be labeled with |MOD|

FORMAT:
Build Name [links to the build's thread]
Subclass(es)
Short descriptor of what the build does or specializes in.

Author: The user who made the build.
Game version: What game version the build was created for, and/or uses equipment and abilities from.
Difficulty: On which difficulty level this build was played

  • Solo: Whether the build is suitable or intended for solo play:"Yes [Difficulty]" - The build was either created or tested for solo play on the specified difficulty level.
  • "No [Difficulty]" - The build was tested for solo play on the specified difficulty level and the game could not be beaten.
  • "Untested" - The build wasn't born with solo play in mind, but for all we know it might as well work—except nobody's tried yet.

Companion: Does this build fit any of the official companions or sidekicks? If "yes", just add the name of the companion/sidekick here. Usually it's only one name I guess. If you are searching for a companion-build you can simply use the search funktion of your browser (ctrl+f) to search for a companion name.

"So they play that on their fascist banjos, eh?"
"You choose the wrong adjective."

I guess. How could I not? :)

Too bad I can't play Daedfire that much atm. In two weeks or so I will have a lot more time for it. By that time also the dust in these forums might have settled a bit. It's a bit hard to keep track at the moment...

So stay tuned!

P.S.: I found some threads tagged with "build" - but none of those was a real build description but mainly ideas and short statements.

But I will wait until some patches, Right now the bug forum is exploding with posts.

Exactly - good approach. :)

Can you add link to some resourses, which you know? Like skill bonus from companion, level/ability gain, how stats work (why dex have diminishing as example), which modifiers is multiplicative etc.

Found this

https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/94713-compilation-thread-balance-classes-feedback-game-mechanics/

Sorry, but this only a build list. Filling it with details about mechanics would most likely muddy the waters.

However, one could open a similar thread (like we had with PoE) that covers the basic mechanics and tips & tricks and links to in-depth analysis. Somebody who's willing to maintain that thread. Then it can be pinned by moderator like this one.

I had an idea today for a team regen herald.  Ancient memory+zealous endurance upgrade, and +100% healing.

Shield bearer/trabadour:  Unkillable team regen tank

or

Kind wayfarer/skald:  Dual wielding fast/accurate weapons for more offensive invocation support

Moon godlike, ton of might, intelligence, and +healing.

It is very very far away from being developed or tested into a real build though since I'm not the biggest fan of maining support builds and Palegina's stats are unsuitable for the idea.  Maybe I'll try it with a hireling.

Uh, cant wait for good magic dmg builds.

For years in RPGs im stuck to the magic classes. Cant decide between Cipher, Druid, Wizard....and then single or multiclass...

Glass canon build allowed, but no need for min-max....

Would it make sense to have a separate section at the bottom for Companion Builds or would that fall into the individual class sections.  Some of the special companion subclasses may need their own build options.

The max INT, DEX, MIG, high PER, dump CON & RES singleclass Wizard (race/culture chosen to taste, but ideally boosting INT, DEX, or MIG) with focus on damage spells and equipped and specced solely to support blasting was an exceptionally good nuker in POE1, though one that as a glass cannon required the player be on the ball with good use of positioning and a few defensive spells to survive. I'm holding off on getting deep into Deadfire until the first patch or two so I cannot vouch for it performing throughout POE2, but I'd be deeply surprised if it didn't work well here too, especially when hyperspecializing it as an Evoker. (Giving up two spell schools, even ones as good as Transmutation and Conjuration, is not a big loss when you are supposed to be blasting with every spell except a few enchants for survival) The only real question is whether PER is now so important that it should instead be "high INT, DEX, MIG, PER" rather than maxing the other three and whether going for a modest 6 CON instead of 3 is so huge a QOL upgrade it makes up for costing MIG, INT, DEX.  These things of course needs testing before making it an official (and obvious) build.

When I said death before dishonour, I meant it alphabetically.

My experience in POTD difficult with 2 Glass cannon wiz (con 3 and res 3) 1 heal/buff priest (con 3 and res 3) 2 tank (low dmg high def)

it's doable even if very bad optimazied, this game is much easier than Poe 1 in potd..

If 1 enemy jump on your backline in 2 hit he will kill your wiz/priest but you can avoid that with good position/choke point/engagement stance

[CLASS BUILD] The Green Knight

Untested for solo play
Fighter/Lifegiver(Warden)
Role: Off-Tank/Bruiser/Support

Stats (Human):

MIG 14
CON 7
DEX 17
PER 10
INT 10
RES 17

The Green Knight is intended to use The Spine of Thicket Green unique quarterstaff. This staff improves the power level of druid and some priest spells. The purpose of this character is to be a frontline bruiser/support character.

Deflection can be boosted using the quarterstaff modal. Quick casting druid buffs (Nature's Vigor, Nature's Balm, Woodskin) provide easy inspirations for the front line, and moderate cast spells (The Moon's Light, Moonwell) provide nice healing. The Green Knight can also turn to damaging spells and abilities when an offtank or support is no longer required. Taste of the Hunt is a 2nd level druid spell that is actually a primary attack, doing nice raw damage over time and healing the caster instantly for a high amount. Knockdown/Into the Fray/Penetrating Strike can be used to save allies, cc or do damage. Most of the spell usage comes from early level spells, but I listed essential high level spells if you decide to pick them. A big decision you need to make is what fighter subclass you want. Devoted (Quarterstaff) can be good, since you can summon firebrand to deal damage to crush-immune foes and still get the devoted bonus since it applies to summoned weapons. Unbroken increases your engagement making you a better tank, but loss of constant recovery and your lack of a shield are questionable for Unbroken. Spiritshifting is not a part of this build past the first few levels when you have nothing else to do.

Overall this character provides a little of everything and is good at filling gaps in a party. I've been surprised at how tanky it can become and how easy it is to cast spells in melee range.

Essential Abilities and Spells

Fighter

  • Guardian Stance
  • Tactical Barrage
  • Mule Kick/Penetrating Strike/Lower Their Guard/Clear Out (Choose one or more)
  • Vigorous Defense

Druid

I

  • Nature's Vigor
  • Talon's Reach/Vile Thorns/Sunbeam

II

  • Light of the Moon
  • Taste of the Hunt

III

  • Nature's Balm
  • Returning Storm

IV

  • Moonwell
  • Hailstorm/Boiling Spray/Overwhelming Wave

V

  • Plague of Insects/Firebug
  • Cleansing Wind

VI

  • Sunlance/Venombloom
  • Garden of Life

VII

  • Rusted Armor
  • Weather the Storm/Nature's Bounty

You don't need every spell listed there. Most used spells are from the early levels.

Passives from both druid and fighter

  • Two-Handed Style
  • Confident Aim
  • Combat Focus
  • Superior Deflection
  • Armored Grace
  • Unbreakable
  • Rapid casting
  • Practiced Healer

[CLASS BUILD] The Flagellant
Helwalker Monk
Not intended for solo

Stats (Human):

MIG 17
CON 7
DEX 18
PER 18
INT 12
RES 4

The Flagellant is a ranged character that takes advantage of the Helwalkers passive might generation through wounds. The primary way of doing this is through dual-wielding Scepters and using their modal, or through the unique rifle Dragon's Dowry (this rifle has a chance of inflicting damage on yourself when you fire it, and has a huge action speed buff that does minor damage over time to you). These weapons and their self-inflicted damage are the "safest" way to make use of the Helwalker.

This synergy in combination with the fantastic damage buffs (Lightning Strikes, Dance of Death, Thunderous Blows) give this class awesome damage output. Being at ranged means you are less likely to be hit, which removes the danger of a melee helwalker (and lessens the possibility of losing Dance of Death).

Single Classing monk means you still have access to the extremely powerful 9th level monk skills.

Nice, but this thread is only for listing the builds. It's better to put your builds into a seperate thread each so that people can discuss them better and find them more easily. I will put a link to your build thread into my opening post which will work as a list/index for all build threads. Thank you!

Yeah. I find the Fury Druid + Evoker Wizard interesting. Pure Dmg. So my wish. :-

2h in the Char Edition Screen, closed PoE, played Torchlight 2 for thinking.^^

I made one for my healing tank build I've been using.  It's a team endurance healing (healing over time) tank I made to replace my main tank (Eder) because I didn't think Xoti multi classed was good at healing and I didn't want to drag along the druid character.
