  1. Hey Daelanis, I'm sorry to hear about the problems arising during your playthrough. I have the missing strings bugged in our database, but I'm more interested in the disappearing sails that you paid for and no longer have. If you could send me a save file from before the purchase(if you happen to have it) and another from after, that would be most appreciative. Once I have those, we can take a look into the issues with a more hands on approach. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thank you so much for the help, and sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
  2. Hello Zeppo! That is quite strange. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, might I ask for a save file where this is occurring? We would love to test this and see if we can get a fix in for you so that you can adjust those settings. You can find instructions on where to find your save files here. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Personally, I find the game to be tremendously hard without pause, so I can understand any frustrations arising from this. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
  3. Hello Runestaff, You have definitely happened upon an interesting bug. We do not currently have anything logged for this, so I'm going to put a bug report together for the team to investigate. I cannot reproduce this issue on my machine, so I was hoping you might have a save file where this is still occurring. if you could send me a copy of your save that would be amazing! You can find instructions on where to find the save files here. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thank you for the help and sorry for that bug.
  4. Hey Yoyo! Thank you for letting me know about this. Looking at the image, it seems as though the game is letting you play with the max zoom range beyond what Deadfire has intended. The background parallax should only show the black areas if the camera is panned back too far. When I test in game, I don't see quite as much of the area as you seem to be able to see in the screenshot. May I ask, what resolution are you using and if you have edited the zoom range at all? Thanks Yoyo!
  5. Hey Wormerine, I'm sorry to hear you're also having frame rate issues during your playthrough. I am intrigued that your output_log.txt file is over 2GB in size, so I'm thinking there may be something for the Programming team to find among that. If you happen to discover anything else during your playthrough, please let me know and I'll add it to the bug report. Thanks for the file and sorry again for the inconvenience.
  6. Hello Hayt, I'm sorry to hear about the end result with Xoti(she's a sweet lass). I'm not exactly sure what all of the potential end states are or what you chose as options during your playthrough, but I'm going to create a bug report for this to have Narrative look into the issue. Hopefully they can see some information about the choices made with the saves, but they can at least look at the Narrative trees to see if there is anything that might go wrong. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Thank you for your continued support, Hayt!
  7. Hey Thelee, Thanks for adding that extra information for Path of the Damned. I added this to the previous report so that it will be looked at by our Area Designer during his investigation of the issue. I apologize for the frustrations that come with these changes and any new bugs that arise. I'm not sure why this would have been affected, but all I can do is apologize and try to show the other developers what went wrong and try to keep it from happening again. I hope the rest of your experience in Deadfire improves. Sorry again, for the inconveniences during your playthrough.
  8. Hey everyone, I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you Nelson. I have taken your save and reproduced the issue in house and the Area Design and Programming team are now working on figuring out what is going on that might cause this issue. I attempted to cheat you out of the area but then the file would get another error instead. We are making this one of our top priorities as there are others who are running into this issue as well. We are hoping to have a fix very soon since it is prioritized as a progression breaking bug. Thank you for the report and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing. P.S. Thanks for the help Kilay
  9. Hello Dungy, That's strange that the game is showing the DLC being installed and it not appearing there. There are several things we can look into that may fix the issue. The first request I have is if you could send me a copy of that save file so that we can attempt to reproduce the issue in house and get a fix that way. The other things you can attempt to do while we look into the save depend on what type of operating system your computer has(Windows, Mac, Linux) and what platform you use to play the game(Steam, GOG, MacPlay, etc). The most common would be Windows with Steam or GOG. In those cases you can uncheck the Beast of Winter DLC in the game library to have the game uninstall that content, then recheck the DLC to reinstall the content. From there I recommend closing the platform completely and reopening it to refresh everything. At that point run Deadfire and see if Harbingers' Watch appears on the World Map. If that didn't work, then it may require a complete uninstall and reinstall to get all the proper files to work and display the content. Please let me know if those solutions work for you and if you are able to obtain that save file for me. You can find instructions for finding the save file here. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
  10. Hello Jay, Sorry to hear about the narrative bug and thank you for reporting it to us. I've made a bug report to reflect this and will send it to the QA and Narrative teams to investigate so we can get a fix out soon. If you discover anything else about this, please let me know and I'll add it to the bug report. Thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
  11. Hey everyone, You would be correct that we are constantly looking for ways to improve performance. Nothing performance wise SHOULD have changed since none of those kind of changes went in, but clearly something is going on. If you are able to log into the game and cause this to happen, I would love if you could send me a copy of your output_log.txt file for Programming to look into the issue. You can find instructions on where to find this file here. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
  12. Hello Grim, I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles looting from containers. Would I be able to trouble you for a save file where this is occurring. I want to try this on my machine to see if I can reproduce the issue and send it off to Programming for a fix. Instructions for obtaining save files can be found here. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thanks Grim, and sorry for the inconvenience.
  13. Hey everyone, Sorry for the graphical and frame rate issues. This has been something that the Programming team has been trying to fix for awhile now and is of high priority for our fixes. Many of the above mentioned suggestions have helped other users in the meantime, but we do intend to get this fixed as soon as possible so that high powered machines can play Deadfire to the utmost ability. The most common temporary fixes I've seen so far have been updating the graphics driver, lowering the MSAA down to 1, and putting the game in windowed mode. I do sincerely apologize for this issue and expect to have a fix out as soon as possible.
  14. Hey Mothra! I agree, it is super annoying to have to restart the game to get them to leave! There was supposed to be a fix for this in the latest patch so I just want to check to make sure you are on the latest build in the hopes that it did in fact get fixed. The current build that SHOULD have the fix is 2.0.1.0044. You can find the build number in the upper right of the Title Menu screen. Thanks for the help and sorry for the inconvenience of this bug.
  15. Hello Bartleby, Thank you for bringing this up and providing great steps for the bug report. We've got the Programming team working on this bug as we speak, but I'm going to add your data to the report so they'll have more to work with. If you happen to discover anything else about this, please feel free to let us know! Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
  16. Hello Cloud, That is quite an odd bug and you are correct, it should be one per character. My guess is that this is happening due to coding how the first save is created in the game. I'll send this off to QA and Programming to investigate and get a fix in for the issue. Awesome find!
  17. Hello again Thelee, Thank you for reporting this for us and providing the saves and logs to boot! I'll write up a bug report for this and send it to the QA and Area Design teams to investigate the issue and see what is expected and what might be causing this issue. Thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience.
  18. You are correct. I apologize that this didn't actually get fixed. I reopened the report and told QA to take extra care to make sure the fix is working as intended. Sorry for that everyone.
  19. Hey everyone, I don't like nuisances! Pikea, can you send me a copy of your save file where this is occurring? This could provide further insight to our Programmers for a permanent fix and we may be able to temporarily fix this for you as well. You can find instructions for finding your save files here. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.
  20. Hey everyone, This is still a bug that we are looking to fix. I don't have an exact timeline, but we hope to have a fix for this soon. Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
  21. Hello Phenomenum! Thank you for letting us know about the translation issue. I'll put this in a report and send it to our translation team to investigate. Thanks again!
  22. Hey everyone, Thank you for the files Daled! We've had some troubles trying to reproduce this in house, but the Area Design team is working to figure out the issue here. Having your files should help alot! Keep an eye on the forums for when the fix is released. Thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience.
  23. Hey ThunderCheese! Thank you for another thorough post! I'll put it in a report and have the Systems Design team investigate this to see what's going on. If you discover more about this, by all means, keep adding to it Thanks for all the help!
  24. Hey Skie! Thank you for getting that to me! I'll send it over to Programming to look at and get a fix in that will stick this time. Thanks again!
  25. Hello again Arnold! The auto-level option only applies to pre-made NPCs. It works by having the pre-made NPCs be at your level and have their points and abilities chosen when you have them join your group. After that, you manually level them yourself. So if you pick up Maia at level 18, she will be auto-leveled to 18 if the option had been active at the time. I hope this answers your question!
