  1. Extremely disappointing turn of events. This was meant to be their last hurrah on Steam before everything after the MS deal is locked up. I see no reason to absolve Obsidian of any responsibility. See you in 2020 Outer Worlds I suppose.
  2. Thank you so so much! The console command appears to have worked! You are a hero. Just regarding "iroll20s" you say you can disable it later but isn't it true that if you enable it at all for a save file achievements are impossible even if you turn them off again later? Also I tested it with my save right at the end and that worked. You say that on my saves the variable was set to 0. Is there any way to view that variable in my save file and change it there? Then I wouldn't need to worry about whether or not iroll20s disables challenges etc. Thanks for everything!
  3. Hello, As I have previously reported (and followed up on) there is an ongoing bug that is incorrectly displaying the "you slept with Xoti and then dumped her" ending slide when that never occurred. It has been present since at least 2.01 when I first complete the game but others seem to suggest it's been like that for longer. Unfortunately the high quality of Obsidians writing makes me care enough that I want stuff like this to be fixed even though it isn't a "show stopper". Unless it becomes part of imported choices for a potential sequel. Then it's a showstopper for me. If there's any way to fix this, even editing INIs or console commands please let me know. I'd love for any insider knowledge on how to set it right even if it means going under the hood. With Sanctum released I hope small issues like this don't get forgotten as the team moves on to bigger and brighter things. So please accept my humble bug report for this ongoing issue. Here is a link with some endgame saves but also a random selection of early and mid-game ones in case that helps investigate the issue. Last time I reported on this I was told they hadn't given up on this. Fingers crossed that's the case there is a solution out there.
  4. As described in my previous thread some time ago there is a bug that incorrect displays the "you slept with and broke up with Xoti" slide despite that never happening. While I hope that this can be fixed at some point I would like to take the issue into my own hands. Does anyone know if there exists a file or similar that I could search to edit this flag? I presume somewhere in there the [bonked Xoti and Left] flag got set to one and I *hope* that if someone knows where it exists I could set a 1 to a 0 and solve it myself. I know this seems like a minor issue but when it's a story based game which characters like Obsidian writes having something so out place recorded in your ending is a huge bummer. tldr; does anyone know how to edit relationship flags? And to the devs: please don't give up on this bug! Here are the save files
  5. Thanks! If any poor soul is interested in exactly what choices I made during my playthrough in order to make the info clearer for bug fixing I'll fill them in. The short version is I turned down Xoti's advances when she first made them. Was neutral of her comments about Eder and supportive of her and Maia (which based on their ingame banter is how they ended up).
  6. Was this ever claimed to have been fixed? I just finished the game and it claimed I slept with and then dumped Xoti which is not the case. I didn't see this thread until now after doing my own searching for fixes. My thread is here but it sounds very much like it is described here. Was this ever fixed for you or anyone else in this thread? Is there any hacky solution? I am not above editing a text file haha. No, it's still not fixed. Just as some other ending slides as well. For example, the one about Maia's personal quest - Port Maje's governor Clario is killed no matter whether you help the killer spy woman or put her in danger and she flees. What's more after the BoW release I started a new game now I can't trigger some companions dialogue at all, Maia and Xoti, for example. Been travelling between areas in Neketaka and Dunnage for a while, but they seem to have bugged out somewhere along the way. A lot of weird stuff going on it seems. Is there any way to look into a file and see what tags are hit for your character? I'd be curious if I could go into the guts of the game and set Boned Xoti to 0.

  8. Hello! Just finished Deadfire and really loved it. One confusing moment however was right at the very end when it accused me of "taking Xoti's virtue" and then dumping her in an ending slide. How hurtful! I assume this is a bug of some sort and while *I* know that I didn't do the deed I worry that if we import saves into the next game the system might import this as a choice. The rest of the ending slides seem totally fine -edit: see note below actually- (as Xoti ends up with Maia happily) but this one seems a little out of place. I can't seem to upload any save games as an attachment but I'll put it here so anyone can see. Secondary upload of save files is here too If there any other files or details I could provide please let me know so we can fix this bug Additionally if anyone knows a way to fix this on my end by editting something please do let me know. Edit: Looking at the options for ending slides on the Pillars wiki I have noticed it appears that Xoti is displaying the "in a relationship with Eder" slide and Maia is displaying the "in a relationship with Xoti" slide. I am unsure if this is a bug as the relationship with Eder is a friendly one while the one with Maia is romantic. If anyone knows if that is also a bug please do share. I have made a youtube video of my ending to show clearly what is going on
  9. Is the fact that Area of Effect Indicators being no longer visible on expert mode a bug or a deliberate change? It's not listed in these notes and I noticed it right away since this patch. If it's not a bug it's a shame since I thought it was a sensible change between Pillars 1 expert and Pillars 2 Expert. Not being able to see the AoE ui makes it nearly impossible to smartly use the safe zones that AoEs have.
  10. That's great to hear! Where abouts did he say that so I can ping him to add my voice to the people interested in this feature?
  11. Hello! Sorry if this is stupidly obvious but I've been avoiding threads for fear of spoilers. How do you set the eye color for your Watcher? I know there are different eye colors since when you swap between male/female the presets have blue or brown eyes but I can't seem to switch from the piercing blue eyes of my meadow human Watcher. Not many of the portraits have blue eyes so I'd like to change them brown to match but can't seem to find the setting. Is this an oversight or a bug or something? Much love
  12. That's gonna look too dark. What would you do to make it lighter? Your technique seems to result in portraits that match the existing ones closely. Because I check portraits I edit against existing ones in game files. I made a post about how I do it in the previous thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91743-portraits/?p=1956411 Explaining it further, if a portrait doesn't match I play with head layer's brightness/saturation/contrast. And if that isn't enough I merge all layers including the background so that nothing interferes, get a skin color sample out of some official watercolor portrait and then use good old brush tool + hue/color/normal with varying intensity percentages and paint the skin to have a better matching color. This color sampling technique also works to paint better looking colors on other parts of the portrait. Thanks. I've been giving it a bit of a crack this afternoon following that guide but I am a total noob at photoshop. Turning this and this into this. The bit that is killing me is getting the skin tones and light levels to match the existing ones since I don't have beta access to check against the ones in there. The blur tool seems key but I'm still trying to work out which details you want to go and which to keep. If you reconsider giving this one a go let me know hahah.

  14. I really doubt that a portrait that was in the first Pillars won't make a return in the sequel. I mean, it's a beta, of course stuff is missing from the beta. (On a side note, whoever this portrait was based off looks SUPER familiar, but i just can't put my finger on who the hell it actually is! It's really getting on my nerves) There are lots of things that aren't in the beta. But it's an official portrait, so I think it will make a return. Come back to me with this if it won't appear in release version. So the answer to both your questions is probably the same thing. Unfortunately I believe this portrait was based on the guy that caused the giant implosion over at NeoGaf. I suspect this is why it may have been omitted from Deadfire as all the other PoE1 portraits are in there. Despite it being based on someone of dubious moral fibre I still view the portrait 100% as my watcher which is why I'd like to try and find a watercolour of it. Is it really? I looked up the guy and i don't see the resemblance. But the portrait still looks super familiar. Yeah it doesn't look much like the real him (which is why I still want to use it) but it is based on an avatar of his. I only found out about this when the news came up and someone used that picture but that's really neither here nor there.
