  1. Before posting: Please do a quick search of our forums to make sure what you have found has not already been reported. If it has, feel free to post your experience on that that thread. If not, start a new thread with the directions below. Please make sure that if you have been using any Mods, that you turn those off before reproducing the issue to be sure that the modifications are not causing the issue. Description: Describe the issue that is occurring. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: List the steps of how to make the issue happen. Important Files: If the files are too large to attach separately, compile them all in a .zip and make a link to Dropbox with the .zip or email us at support@obsidian.net along with your user name and a link to your post so we can quickly find the post. Attach files that will help the dev team figure out and resolve the issue. These include: Savegames Try to include a save file from right before as well as during the issue you are reporting Windows Location: %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity II MACOS: ~/Library/Application Support/ Pillars of Eternity II Linux: $XDG_Data_Home/PillarsofEternityII Output Log When the issue occurs, close the game client, find this file, then attach it to your post Steam Location: \Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\output_log.txt GOG Location: \GOG\Games\Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\output_log.txt GOG Galaxy: \GalaxyClient\Games\Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\output_log.txt OSX Location: ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log Crash Output This only applies if you experienced a crash. If the game crashes, in many cases it will create a folder containing crash information (including a Crash log, output log, and save file). This folder will appear inside your client next to the game launcher (PillarsOfEternityII.exe). The name of the folder will be of the following format: YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSS Example: 2018-05-08_081722 System Specs This will give us most of your computer specs to help us diagnose the problem Windows Location: Press (windowkey + R), Type "dxdiag" and press Enter, Click "Save All Information", Attach the file that you create MAC OS Location: Click the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen.   2. Below is a list of issues we know about that may currently affect players. WATCH OUT! General Issues Many users are experiencing extended waits for downloading and installing of the game. There are rare cases where users are unable to load or see their save files. Some users are reporting loss of clicking functionality on higher resolution monitors. Playing on a lower resolution should fix this issue until a fix is in. Some GOG users may be having trouble installing the game. (GOG support seems to fix this) In rare cases, the client may crash when transitioning to the World Map. Hired adventurers do not play voice over during their character creation. There are some characters that are missing a line or two of voice over. On rare occasions, players may get a black screen when loading a save game. Restarting the client should fix the issue. Larger scenes like Queen's Berth are known to have lower frame rates. Some abilities obtained from item enchantments are missing their icons. Players cannot reverse pickpocket hostile NPCs. Characters engaging targets will follow the target during idle stances(recovery), preventing engagement breaks and opportunity attacks. As we fix things, we will be putting them into a Patch Beta branch for public testing. This will allow players to access the fixes sooner before they go live. Saves should work for both builds interchangeably. You can find the list of fixes here.   5. Hey guys! Thanks for the clarification! This bug is in our system and was reported by none other than Josh Sawyer himself. Looks like one of our programmers has already fixed this, but the fix didn't make it into the game in time for the Backer Beta. Rest assured it will be in a future Backer Beta build!   6. Hey guys! The bug being mentioned is due to characters being able to push each other a bit during combat. This was made to allow for better navigation during combat, but has caused issues of characters being pushed into terrain that was not intended for navigation. The bug has been submitted and we have our programmers hard at work to resolve this issue! Thanks for reporting the bug! -SChin
  7. Hey Crinrict! Unfortunately, what happened to your poor animal companion was that it got pushed into the wall. During combat party members are allowed to push each other a bit to get through and make navigating tight combat easier. This causes characters to be able to be pushed into walls or other places where one is not normally able to navigate to be stuck. This bug has been submitted into the system and is assigned to the appropriate dev. For the situation regarding your rogue discovering something, the only hidden discoverable I am aware of is in the trap room. There is a skeleton of a person who as crawling to the wall. Between his arms is a hidden button to open a door in that room. Could this be the discoverable your rogue picked up on? Let me know and thanks for reporting the bug! -SChin

  9. Hello again Dam! The description can indeed be confusing. Veil Piercing Attacks would come from magical implements(rod, wand, scepter), bows, and crossbows). Not quite sure why a firearm wouldn't be able to pierce though lol. We have entered the bug into the system and assigned it to the appropriate dev. Thanks again, Dam! -SChin

  11. Hello again Dam At the moment we are unable to reproduce this bug. Could you take some screen shots of your graphical settings for us to compare with? Also is this happening when you do New Game just after booting up the game, and does this occur for you 100% of the time? Thanks again Dam! -SChin

  14. Hey guys! I looked into this after looking into Dam's previous bug. Looks like the issue is indeed with the fact that the weapon is duplicating. One of our devs will be taking the case and fixing the issue with the soulbound items duplicating. Thanks for the help guys! -SChin

  19. Hello again cheesevillain! Sorry to hear about the problems with the rig. The good news is Sonntam is absolutely right The game is added to your Steam or GOG account(depending which you choose) via the code you are provided in the Backer Portal. The Backer Beta is currently only available on Windows, so the new rig would have to be running that operating system. Thanks for reaching out to us!
