  1. Pillars of Eternity 1 has achieved a pretty good state by v3.0+. And several bugs aside, it looks that Deadfire is slowly headed in the same direction. But at the moment, there are still a range of spells, abilities and effects that are what we can call: trash (or trap) options. And also there a few things that are either a little too good, or allow to bypass certain design limitations. And it's understandable that comparative power of talents/abilities/effects/etc in practice is not always the same as initially expected, due to overall complexity and changes in mechanics, plus emergent synergies, opportunity costs, variety of encounters, asymmetry in enemy defenses, armor threshold deadzones, max health 'policy' and so on. So the idea is: to come up with a collective set of fine-tuning adjustments to cut-off the least impactful ones and to end up with a list of community suggested changes. So if Obsidian decides to do any balance changes for v5.0.0, they could use this as some sort of survey data. And of course there is also hope that some of these could be modded. The workflow is gonna be as follows: There will be a preliminary list of suggested changes. And you can: a). suggest to add a change; b). suggest to remove an already added suggestion; or provide an alternative adjustment. Just don't forget to argumentate your opinion. After awhile, I'll make a poll based on these. When the poll is ended, a final list will be made. And it will include changes that have passed a certain threshold of unanimity.   2. What do you think if we could fix a few bugs ourselves, test them, and offer Obsidian the solution; or as a backup plan make a mod (compliant with IEMod's Patchwork)? Obviously stuff like stuttering or shaking popups is out of our reach, but a few in-code changes probably could be done. I have in mind the following list: Bugs: 1. DoT damage is not being registered in party member stats 2. DoTs do not benefit from elemental talents 3. DoTs do not benefit from slaying talents (like Beast Slayer, Ghost Hunter, etc) 4. Charm occasionally ending prematurely 5. Powder Burns is hitting allies standing in FoE (yellow) zone. (screenshot) 6. Charmed enemies quickly regenerate a portion (10-25%) of hp/endurance when switching alliance Balance suggestions: 1. Make Deep Wounds stack 2. Duration of "fixed" DoTs (Wounding Shot, Wounding, Enduring Flames) should no longer be affected by INT (since their total damage is not affected by INT neither). At the moment, I know how to fix the first bug, and partially the second. What do you think of p3, and of the whole idea? EDIT: UPMod.1.01.306 is ready.   3. Hello, about 3 days back my game experienced a bug that didnt allow me to load my save files. i couldnt load the autosave or the manual one. Downloaded the update because i had read that it will resolve the issue. Now that i have finally done it, I still cant load the save files. It shows an error "E-B51D0002". I checked the error tag on playstation support and it doesnt exist. I'm about 15-20 hours in i believe. anyway i can get my save files to load up? I'm on ps4
  4. Took Parvati to meet Junlei, then spoke to her on the ship. No follow up quests triggered. Only one I'm missing for the achievement. Ps4 here. Any ideas would be appreciated. Edit: I messed something up, says I talked Parvati out of a relationship... sigh. Be careful what you choose in this game. The choice system is awesome tho.
  5. So last time Pervati's quest failed on me because she supposedly died. Then it fixed itself one day and I continued it until it did it to me again. I think it happened whenever we went back into the ship whenever I didn't have her as my traveling companion.
  6. I have encountered a major bug. Playing PDF on Android through Play Store. During the third scenario with the angel in the tower, after completing the scenario I reached the deck maintenance screen. However all the cards that I discarded or buried are missing. The cards are quite from the scenario or still in my inventory but not my previous ones. Currently my party is stuck on the screen and unable to move forward. I've completed several scenarios ahead with another party and have taken the time to advance them. At this point there's no progressing them at all. Please help!
  7. Can’t equip anything to the inhalers first slot even if I press y and the equip to slot one. Not a big deal but find it very annoying. No I’m not talking about the emergency inhaler slot.
  8. Yet again another bug on top of me not being able to heal at ALL still! I entered byzantium and all the citizens specifically are showing up as hostiles on my compass. Guards don't attack at all or show up as red ticks but the minute I run into a named character with a weapon, they immediately start to unload on me and the guards begin to do the same. My reputation is at 8% positive and 0% negative with the board. I have been sneaking my way through the entire last part of the game with a sliver of health and now...this happens, its beyond frustrating and is further game breaking.
  9. THE PIT is impossible to complete because of random crashing. Im playing on XBOX ONE. Ive ran through the area 40+ times attempting to complete this, no luck. Ive gotten so good at running I only kill 4 enemies to get to the door that requires a console to open which introduces you to the guy infront if the cameras. Ive only seen him 4 times, the game gets progressively worse as i attempt. The freezes kick me completely out of the game to my xbox homescreen. Sometimes the game crashes as soon as i enter THE PIT area. Ive tried every work around, none worked. Ive tried with and without companions. Ive tried killing all enemies. Ive tried killing no enemies. Im sorry but the game is impossible to complete for me untill this is fixed.
  10. Upon "completing" the quest, the quest persists in my journal and the tracker does also. The tracker is focused on Vaugn Cortes and everytime I speak with him, he responds with "Any news? On the thing we spoke about. You know. That thing?". I then click "[1] I found your experiment", but then the conversation immediately exits and nothing happens.
  11. Two big and one small bugs i’ve found (XB1) Two big: •Can’t remove helmet from follower •Weapon gets drawn whenever you initiate dialogue Small: In between conversation boxes there’s a half second blip of a dialogue selection. Thanks
  12. I decided to try a new playthrough on Supernova, and instead of doing the Gladys quest I decided to steal the insignia from her safe. This caused everyone to go hostile, like a normal theft, except now all the NPCs chain aggro, and regard me as kill-on-sight. This persists through leaving and returning, reloading an autosave, hiding and losing aggro, and waiting on the Unreliable. I cannot complete the quest because Udom, the person I'm supposed to give the insignia to, attacks when he or the guard at the front door sees me. According to my faction rep I'm only 2% bad will and Friendly with Groundbreaker.
  13. I have encountered a game breaking bug in the Forgotten Sanctum under the Black Ilses. When i go from the Sciptorium to the Temple of recollection talk to Tayn after completing his "a shout..." quest the game plays a scene where he argues with an imp. When the scene ends nothing happens. No keyboard no mouse no HUD just stuck. All the animations still work. I then have to ctrl+alt+delete to quit the game When i reload the game it shows a message in the top right corner just before the load screen starts (maybe it's relevant - see black image) I've noticed the game seems unstable after the latest massive update to Steams UI but i do not know if that is just a coincidence (the load screen flickers quite a lot and the whole sanctum area have seemed a bit unstable. for example: in battle sometimes error messages will appear instead of the normal red damage counters) I have run a file integrity check via steam and the game should be updated with the latest patch. please help! i've played almost 130 hours and i absolutely love this game! regards Bear
  14. In 'Radio Free Monarch' Nyoka can't seem to take the caffenoid. I'm only offered the option to leave the conversation. I'm playing on PS4 and I've seen other people are having the same problem. I'm told I can just make my way to the main quest point without her, but I don't want to not have a new companion. Is there any news of a patch coming out soon for this bug?
  15. I thought it was a flaw at first. That the terminals would just forced me to back out and go back in, for every option I took. That was till I got to the Gloop Gun Terminal. It won't let me get passed the first answer to the question or hack it. At the "Password" screen, it's completely blank. The one option I have is to "Press B'" and back out. This wasn't the only Terminal I experienced this. Most of the Terminals that demands multiple steps to get through things have the same problem.
  16. I’m playing the game on Xbox One and have been playing with no issues for the last few days. Just now I had noticed the autosave wheel spinning but never stopping. I went into my menu, I tried activating a terminal, went into an undiscovered area, heck I even killed some outlaws but still the save wheel kept spinning. I then tried going to the menu, maybe to try manually saving but that was grayed out. Trying to bring up my old saves in the “load” screen failed to populate any of my old saves. So finally I tried fast traveling to pop me into a loading screen hoping maybe that would fix things. And it did! Or so I thought. The autosave wheel was gone, so I decided to exit the game and restart just in case. Upon restarting, the music is playing, and the title screen appears, but if if I “press A to continue” the screen stops moving and I’m stuck here while it is (I’m guessing) trying to access my save files and can’t. I’m REALLY hoping this isn’t permanent because I’ve been absolutely enjoying the game and would hate to restart if I even can. I’ve trued restarting the console and the game twice now to no avail. Have any other players or devs experienced this issue? Thanks for taking the time to read my long post.
  17. For some reason, the game is not loading the 3d renderson the inventory menu, not even while inspecting an item. I have the latest nvidia drivers. Thoughts? anybody knows how to fix this? I got the game through Xbox Game Pass. Here is how it looks:
  18. During a mission I guess Prav died? Her health meter never went below 50%, and after the mission I fast traveled back to town her character was just on the ground, laying there. Her health meter was now full. I could not click on her to talk, I can access her menu for items, perks and what not. I can't see her in the ship either when I'm there. I changed her out for another companion, no problems with that companion. When I put Prav back in the group, same thing, her body just followed along on the ground, popping up as we traveled. When I talked to NPCs her dialogue would come on, but you can't see her and if the NPC talks to her, they are kinda looking at the ground. My last save was 3 hours earlier and several missions ago. Do I really need to go back that far?
  19. The Outer Worlds, I bought and downloaded yesterday on my Xbox One X, does not load any of my saves anymore. I can not access any loads. I keep getting thrown back out of the game, everytime I try to load or continue. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and hard reseting the console, but it all had no effect. Only "new game" works, but loading games does not. I was really looking forward to playing The Outer Worlds this weekend, but it seems broken. Other downloaded games work / load fine.

On the Groundbreaker ship i spoke to Belle Everson the weapon mod merchant, and she states you can put the silencer mod onto the dead eye assault rifle, but you can’t, it can only take scope and mag mods, honestly this is the one gun that needs to be able to equip a silencer, it’s pretty much a designated marksman rifle, please allow us to barrel, mag and scope mod all assault rifles with 3 mods instead of just 2, cheers guys loving the game so far!!
  21. Version: v5.0.0.0040 LAX123ABCDEFGHI[TB] -steam I am playing in turn-based mode at maximum game speed with manual turn-ending. I have made two attempts at the Neriscyrlas fight in Beast of Winter. The same problem has occurred both times and has caused me to abandon and reload the fight. Both times were due to the game landing in a stuck state when a controllable character was affected by the Terrified affliction. When it is their turn, I am obviously unable to command them to perform any actions, but the End Turn button is simply greyed out with "Waiting..." and neither of my end-turn hot key (Ctrl or Enter) end the turn. In both instances the terrified effect was present on multiple characters: 1. The first instance involved the game getting stuck on the turn of one of the animated weapons summoned by Vatnir using the skill Called to His Bidding, the Ancient Instruments of Death. The weapon was suffering from the terrified affliction. 2. The second instance occurred when two characters were Terrified and Vatnir himself landed in the Waiting... state in his turn. Most of the existing posts I found mentioning this problem seem to state that it has since been fixed, but this happened in v5.0. I do not want to use cheats as a work-around as that will disable my achievements. Is there another way to deal with this problem? Thanks.
  22. Several persistent bugs, happen to every character as far as I can remember. These are the most recent instances. General Info - Steam, merged from original Android account (played on the same computer using android emulator) - Win 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit - PC is custom. - PFID# FAEFDABE617FAD2E Gameplay - Pass & play on/permadeath are OFF - Campaign - Characters in Party: Lem and Lini (original characters) - Turn Order Lem, Lini (those bugs happen regardless of turn order) - Difficulty is Legendary - None of the issues have to do with Hordes and happen regardless if first exploration or not Issue#1 When playing the last scenario (Into the Eye), the Revelation Quill, the Eagle and Scrying are unplayable. This is the most disturbing bug of all, and has persisted throughout the years, even after merging my main account with Steam. I know it has been reported before, but it's still there. Issue#2 Another persistent issue with my game is Rimeskull. Whenever a location is closed, only the character who closed it moves to another location. Other characters are trapped, and are forced to lose a turn before moving out in subsequent turns. Also, characters cannot move into previously closed locations, unless I quit the game altogether, and rerun it Issue#3 Another persistent issue is in Assault on the Pinnacle. When choosing loot after I defeat a bane, the "buttons" are always misaligned. In my last game I tried to click 6 spells, but I got 4 weapons and 2 spells instead. Issue#4 The black tower. Another persistent one. Harpy monks do not allow my characters to use powers, either before they act or during the combat check. (Thankfully, after playing in steam, Harpy monks' cards do not remain there, blocking my view of my next encounters, as before) Issue#5 The last major persistent bug is a more general one. When playing cards like the Corrosive Storm or Blizzard BEFORE the exploration, and during the encounter the character who played them is FORCED to make a check, those cards are always returning to his hand, as if they were never played. This diminishes they usefulness, as they often cannot be played at all, if the character plays another card of the same type. Issue#6 Into the Eye (again): I noticed that only one Henchman per character was shuffled into the location deck, despite that I played in Legendary difficulty. I think it has happened before, with a different group of characters If you wish for more details or clarifications, please ask Thanks in advance
  23. I traveled to Harbinger's Watch the first time, and backtracked after realizing the Dracolich was too hard for me. I then went around, completing quests and gaining levels and equipment for a day and a half of real time. I returned to Harbinger's watch, and I lost that day and a half of progress. The (Pre-DLC) save from my first attempt is present, and it didn't overwrite with my new save. Additionally, all the other saves I accumulated in that day and a half were totally lost. What can I do to reclaim the lost saves, and prevent this from happening when I try the dracolich again?
  24. Deadfire Polishing Thread has been opened for 3 weeks by now, and we gathered enough feedback for a dedicated poll. And the idea behind this poll is to filter through the community-originated fine-tuning suggestions and cut those that didn't make it past a certain threshold of unanimity.   25. Bug report. When I go into the character inventory, and toggle between first and secondary weapon, The character in the Inventory screen changes colour to a pale white. ( Note; This was happening when I equipped the War Bow or the Hunting bow as a secondary weapon. This effect was happening within the Inventory screen only, The character remained the normal colour in Gameplay. ) I am experiencing this on PC, playing the latest version update.
