Beautiful weather in LaCrosse the past few weeks. But you can feel the air getting drier. Winter will be here soon. We're planning a trip to Big Bend National Park in November. Already have a campsite reserved in Cottonwood. We will spend the winter in West Texas. Looking forward to it. Hope you guys are doing well. @Azdeus hope your foot is doing better.6 points

Okay, this is not technically a Balance Polishing Mod update, but I have just released muy new mod which allows bypassing Dispositions while getting maximum effects for Paladins and Priests (either from the start or through level scaling). Replace Disposition Scaling at Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) Of course compatible with CP and BPM, but independant.4 points

I know you are all eagerly waiting for my endorsement of a candidate in the 2024 US Presidential race. I have made my choice! Not Trump or Harris. Oh God no they are both just awful. I wanted to endorse someone who has served honorably in war. Someone who will supports for the free practice of all religious faiths. Someone who will fight for his people!3 points

Blade Runner (1982). This is my second time watching it. I feel that there is a human element here that is missing in the sequel, that makes this more than just moody or pretty environments. This film is not necessarily perfectly sublime from front to back with regards to all of its most essential elements, but it is nonetheless a whole experience, and that is exactly what it needs to be. It was better for a second watch.2 points

Full stealth/Assassin's outfit with 100%, check. Infra-vision googles, check. High level Stealth perk bonuses while crouched, check. Can't see me! Verrrry close even when facing you. If they're facing away from you, can kill them without them ever reacting. The other in the room doesn't even react when you kill the first one. I wonder if that outfit bonus will get nerfed back down to 99%. Even if not a Tier6 level, it's still fairly OP'd. But it's going to take most a long while to get there+high stealth Perk, plus it's slower clearing, plus it's not as invulnerable outside/en-masse, so. Seems fair to me. Makes stealth build my favorite thing tho.2 points

Borderlands 4 teaser trailer. Teaser is not gameplay and tells/shows nothing of value except "2025". Eh, maybe. I will at least pray for it to be somewhere between BL2 and BL3 - eg, not worse than BL3. So I can stand being "forced" to play it when hubby wants to buy it. If it looks worse than BL3 - hubby may have to play alone. ======================== Also: Manor Lords update news: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1363080/discussions/0/4434443557916093138/2 points

Apparently Ubisoft has not just decided to reset the Might and Magic canon to before they acquired the IP from 3DO, but to a point before HoMM4 and MM9 (y'know, when NWC decided to reset everything by exploding the planet).2 points

Hello, I'm creating an ability that requires the player to have 5 stacks of a buff (the stacks are gained by attacking, and currently work fine). When the player uses the ability the stacks are consumed, but I don't see how I can make an ability remove a status effect.1 point

The more interesting parts (imho) is the smaller streets, cheap hotels places unlike those I find in Brisbane Yes, that's 50 Euro for a three bed hotel room. Won't find that anywhere in Brisbane! As mentioned previously, my brother and i visited during day time. I've seen the place at night (20 years ago) and it can get quite rowdy1 point

There were definitely a number of bugbears, but I was surprisingly quite into the film, so I didn't really mind that much at all. That's usually how it goes for me with "bad CGI" - I take notice and am unhappy with it way more when a film isn't working for me on other levels, just like how I was watching Godzilla Minus One and mentally complaining about basically everything I was seeing for no particular reason. My understanding is that Fury Road is purportedly one of the most insane films of all time in terms of committing to practical effects (to the point of the actors largely having a bad time filming it), so I'm sure Furiosa pales in comparison to it visually, but overall, I thought it was a pretty good looking film for the most part. But I've kind of realized over the past few years that if a movie or show can successfully pull me, of all people, in by means of its other strengths, I'll pretty much always forgive whatever visual issues there may be: it's just not really that important to me. Which probably sounds completely at odds with me given all my years of incessantly whining and complaining about art styles in animation and video games, but I earnestly believe it's true at this point. Visuals do play a big part in relaying what something is or at least might/should be, though, so I'll certainly continue to use them as a point of evaluation. I haven't seen Charlize Theron's Furiosa, but I'll probably watch Fury Road here at some point after liking this film, and I'll be curious to see how she compares. I've never really liked Charlize Theron in anything I've ever seen, but I've also not seen that much that she's in to begin with, so who knows. Anya Taylor-Joy...I loved her in The Witch and Thoroughbreds, but I haven't been enamoured with her in basically anything else she's done (and I actively disliked her in The Northman, though to be fair, I actively disliked that entire movie period). I guess she was fine here, but I liked the kid playing the young version of her more, so as far as I'm concerned, she's the best Furiosa that I know so far, . Then again, I haven't yet seen what that character ultimately turns into...1 point

The actual video for those who want to see Avowed. Livefeed: * 01:30 - oh hi Matt Mercer. Is Sargamis an Aloth is disguise? Or what I prefer to think is, that there was a being with a powerful soul in the past with the voice of Mercer, and as his soul split overtime all that go a piece of it end up with Mercer's voice. * 03:10 - That's a weird camera angle unless we were playing an orlan. Cinematics seem to still need a bit of work. They seem a bit more elaborate than talking faces from Outer Worlds, but so far I prefered OW approach. *6:20 - I much prefer when games take time to create a consistant, understandable language, rather than clarifying what's interactable and what's not through intrusive icons. IF they are necessary, I wish they were part of some highlight feature (like Witcher's sense, or Cyberpunk scanning) rather than constant part of the world. *7:50 - attributes and skills look more or less as I expected. Looks alright *14:13 combat looks alright. UI gets busy indeed. Seems clunky, I wonder if it will scale better at a high resolution. Reminds me a lot of XBOX360 era with its overly large, clunky UIs. *20:30 - companion teleporting for the ability use... is it necessary? Couldn't he just attack from where he was standing? *22:10 - ok, so inspite of intrusive quest pointers, I do appreciate that there isn't one directly pointing you to a thing that you are not supposed to know where it is. *26:40 - animancers continue to be presented as complete maniacs. To be fair, Deadfire was better in that regard, but it is difficult to be on their side if they are presented like some fanatics. Looks alright. I think the game will look very pretty in action. Combat looks ok. Quest aroused my interest at the end, so that's a good sign. Definitely an Eora's game, and it seems they are continuing a lot of PoE1&2 threads, at least in this sidequest.1 point

Hello, Do you know a way to remove negative reputation for a faction ? I know you can add points with the console command: DispositionAddPoints (disposition name)disposition strength (minor, average, major) Exemple: Repuatationaddpoints FCT_**** (After the underscore just hit TAB key until you get to the faction you want) Positive/Negative Minor/Average/Major https://steamcommunity.com/app/560130/discussions/0/2828702372992031890/ But I don't know if it is possible to remove negative points with console command or maybe a mod ? Thanks1 point

Hah, my dad told me the same thing. He said I'm basically inviting my neighbors to complain to me about everything. As a middle school teacher, I do have a pretty high threshold for patience, so hopefully that will help. I appreciate all of the support.1 point

Got surgeried on my foot a few hours ago, I was worried it'd be local anaesthesia and I'd be awake, but thankfully they put me under. I say thankfully because the anaesthesiologist had alot of trouble finding the nerves on my thicc muscly thigh which is the one that goes to the area of the surgery, so I have full feeling in the area of the surgery, though I can't for the life of me feel my toes or left side of the foot. Because that nerve was at the kneejoint and was piss easy for them to find. So. Yeah, ow, they gave me alot of oxy, but it's doing bugger all, I had more effect from the sedatives.1 point

For factions specifically, Positive and Negative reputations are tracked separately by the game. As such adding a negative number to the Negative axis will reduce it without affecting the Positive axis. With that in mind you can create a mod with a new "ChangeStrength" and set the "ReputationValue" to a number with minus "-" before it. Then use it in the Console Command or a Script to reduce the Negative faction rep by that number. Something like: { "GameDataObjects": [ { "$type": "Game.GameData.ChangeStrengthGameData, Assembly-CSharp", "DebugName": "Reduce_Major", "ID": "39a0dbf5-fe80-4bba-9e9c-b0edfc2003a0", "Components": [ { "$type": "Game.GameData.ChangeStrengthComponent, Assembly-CSharp", "ReputationValue": -8, "DispositionValue": 0, "RelationshipValue": 0, "DisplayName": 1784, "FormatString": 1299 } ] } ] }1 point

I think someone is trying to catfish me. Got a random call from a lady in France the other day. Her friend gave her my number, since she is coming to Athens and I am apparently the person to talk to. And now I could remember her number for Whatsapp. So since that wouldn't be the first time hotel guests are weird in communication, I sent a message to the number on Whatsapp so she could contact me. Turns out she apparently was trying to contact a real estate agent and must have gotten the number wrong. She was positively surprised by how nice I was about the whole thing. Since then she messages me every day. I am waiting for when she asks for money.1 point

But that human element gets in the way of PURE IMAGE AND SOUND! Imagine if instead of developing the characters or polluting cinema with pesky dialogue Ridley Scott gave us 4 hours of concept art with booming scifi music! Now that would be pure cinema.0 points

This tooth had a very old filling which had to be changed a few times. So it was the problem tooth anyway. The good thing is the nerve is already dead because all dentists I know said "Yeah, this tooth will cause trouble again eventually". It wasn't completely unexpected. Still annoying. At least it doesn't hurt.0 points

Those rat bastages made me cut down a tree in my front yard a few years ago (well, they paid to have it cut down and removed). I had planted it years ago when it was knee high and now it was towering. "Waa, we cant see your house number." "Waa, its way over first floor your roof line."0 points
