Interesting to see the intentional misspelling of America on this page of this thread (twice). I mean, that's one good way to establish your argument as almost certainly not worth taking seriously. Speaking of interesting things, here's something on the Nord Stream sabotage. Whether this is true or not, I certainly cannot say: https://oalexanderdk.substack.com/p/osint-analysis-six-russian-ships?utm_source=direct&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web2 points

Looks like it's not just the IDF that is against Netanyahu, the defence minister now also rings the alarm bells, predicting a bad end to these attempts at taking direct control of the judicial system (to avoid prosecution) https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-65076682 "In a brief televised statement, Mr Gallant described the reform plan as a "clear, immediate and tangible danger to the security of the State". He said members of the Israeli Defence Forces were angry and disappointed, with an intensity he had never encountered before."2 points

This might interest @Guard Dog, but it might be behind a paywall... https://theathletic.com/4339875/2023/03/24/out-of-the-park-baseball-24/ Basically, some MLB teams are using Out of the Park Baseball to test scenarios and gameplan. It also give a great backstory to the game. The World Baseball Classic was amazing, btw. The best pitcher in the world faced off against the best hitter in the world in the 9th inning with a one run lead, and struck him out to win it for Japan. You can't write it any better than that.1 point

With the right build a FF is one of the few classes able to solo Changelling Dance 100% of the time. The secret is to keep the rogue alive because his Deep Wounds work like a healing battery. The killing order should be monk>cipher>fighter>wolf>ranger (the rogue should be already dead from Soul Mirror).1 point

There is a rudimentary photomode in RE4-M but this is a frame from a video. I did like the in-game scenes integration (that I saw), it didn't feel interruptive and was paced/flowed very nicely.1 point

^ I'll just watch/skim Asmongold's 6 hour Necro video, then I don't have to play the game. I found a cheatengine thing for RE4-M, so I played a little longer. It's not the sort of game where it's still fun even if cheating, since it's basically all combat/confront moments but at least I could see more of it within 2 hrs to judge whether I'd like it enough to gitgud. I do kind of like the game, the two chrs. I've met so far, but I don't think I'd want to spend the time to figure out how to not die 10 times per fight. Not the fault of the game, just my skillz/mentality. It definitely looks great, has a nice horror feel (lots o' gore kills if you don't turn it off), little things/goals to do between confrontation areas. Very linear but has a minimal exploration feel. But I'm too lazy, so I'll probably refund it. It's cinematic enough, maybe I'll watch MKIceandFire story walkthru of it. ...in another 10-15 years I'll probably always just sit in my recliner and watch videos like that vs. actually playing anything. Hahah.1 point

I made it through about an episode and a half waaaaay back when there was only one season, I'm pretty sure. Don't remember who Trevor is, but Castlevania certainly didn't seem to be my kind of vampire show. Admittedly, I was probably harder on it then than I might be now, but I'm still not much tempted to return. Frederator apparently animated Castlevania. Same company as My Life as a Teenage Robot, The Fairly OddParents, and Adventure Time, so that's pretty wack.1 point

I like to think Florida Man was birthed fully formed from our collective nightmares, but more realistically you're right. Though Barney Bishop III sounds like a supervillain or a evil rich guy name and something parents would only inflict upon a child they loathed. I guess he looks the part.1 point

Thanks guys. I mostly dealt with it in a couple of years ago. Didn't really get (much) drunk yesterday. Did sift through a lot of old memories though. My dad saw it coming a few weeks ago, so he had taken care of the practical details. I'll go visit Europe next year and we will catch up with a family get together, he, me and my two brothers. Other than that, it was a nice Friday, spending much of the day in a place called Australia Zoo north of Brisbane (a place founded and originally run by Steve Irwin aka "The Crocodile Hunter"). After that, my friends and I went to the beach for a swim. I had almost forgotten how salty ocean water is1 point

So...I'm guessing Asmongold has never played a Diablo summon Necro before. ...they always feel broken...until you reach that boss/enemy that curbstombs your army in 5 seconds and there are no corpses. Or Blizz nerfs them to death, like they do with all classes eventually. ...D3's necro was fairly broken for a long time tho. I needed no meta/gear to make the summoned mages kill near everything Edit: video language warning.1 point

Yeah, turns out the issue was on my end. I had tried clearing the cookies, but apparently ublock origin has started blocking something on this site. I've had it active here since forever, so that's why I didn't think of it at first. I never even got the cookie popup with it active (although I still got some of the cookies), but with it deactivated it all works, including the link in the footer. So thanks for the help1 point

AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative I'm saving this last screenie to use as a reaction picture, though I'll probably just crop it down to the speech bubble at the bottom: I could probably go into the politics thread and use it at least 20 times right now, but that would entail going into the politics thread and reading posts therein, and, dear God, why would I do that to myself?1 point

My mother died last night. I'm, way too far away from Denmark to participate in any funeral arrangements, so I'll have to follow it from afar. Before anyone says condolences or similar, I mourned the death of my mother 3 years ago, when I realized, that she had for all intents or purposes that mattered "died" back then and no longer recognized my dad or any of her children. Her brain had deteriorated almost to a vegetative state long before Covid was a thing, so I'm sort of "over it" and resigned myself to the fact that she was "dead" back then and knew I would never speak to her again. It was just the empty shell of a body that got the memo a few years late. I might still get drunk tonight and pull out some old family photos0 points
