LOL. Thanks for the list. A news reporter wants to interview me about this story, so now I have suspects to lay out for them.3 points

I have purchased this month's Humble Choice so I can now participate in the most popular thread in the Obsidian forums. It's the only reason I bought it, obviously. (Now to decide on whether to get the discounted season pass)2 points

Hello! Chanter/Soulblade (the big red button) The chanter can summon multiple skeletons (first with Ancient Brittle Bones and later with Many Lives Pass By) The Soulblade gains +10 max focus and concentration from killing an enemy (or ally, doesn't matter) Usually Ciphers don't generate focus from hitting friedly characters Wahai Poraga acts like a "confused" AoE weapon If you accidentially hit your Skeletons with it s AoE you will generate focus (all Ciphers except Psion)! If you kill your Skeletons with its AoE you will gain +10 max focus and concentration (Soulblade passive)! Echoing Horrors will get triggered every time you kill a Skeleton ( Frighten a bystanding enemy on kill - it's a passive...) If you use Soul Annihilation with it it will apply the full raw damage to the initial target (and some more to the additional ones). So against tough singular foes that usually make generating focus difficult you can harvest focus and also max focus and concentration from your skeletons while hitting the enemy You can collect a huge amount of focus that way and then dump it all into one Soul Annihilation that destroys the tough enemy Skalds can get phrases from crits against skeletons - I used a Troubadour though (faster Many-Lives-skellies) Chanter/Priest (the undying) cast Triumph of the Crusaders use Ancient Brittle Bones and/or Many Lives Pass By attack with Wahai Poraga and gain lots of health every time a skeleton goes down combine with health-on-kill pets for additional healing Chanter/Barbarian (the obvious choice) no need to be a confused Berserker use skellies every AoE-hit of Wahai Poraga triggers Carnage (foe only) accidentially killed Skeletons trigger Bloodlust and Blood Thirst (hack away without much recovery) Blood Storm (additional Frenzy duration on kill) makes it easy to uphold Frenzy endlessly Barbaric Smash: AoE-kills when using Barbaric Smash will not refund the Rage cost. The initial target has to die (booh!) Chanter/Sister of the Reaping Moon (the well of wouds) killing a skeleton grants 3 wounds Chanter/Fighter (clever cleaver) killing a skeleton triggers Cleaving Stance (attacking the enemy again because Cleaving Stance chooses the next enemy as initial target, not a skeleton) What doesn't work: Paladin's Inspiring Triumph and Virtuous Triumph won't trigger (too bad). That's all I found out so far.1 point

KD wasn't the issue on the Nets though. If he is healthy with CP3 and Booker, they will be dangerous.1 point

Sex is female, I grew up in the 80s so I tend to use sex/gender interchangeably even though I technically know better. I'll die soon, so it's okay.1 point

we did mock the previous patch assertion that tb combat freezes had been addressed. the thing is since then we have been seeing a resurrection o' an old tb bug which has sosiel becoming stuck in tb combat. the old bug were related to a two-handed weapon haver crossing paths with another party member in tb combat, so sosiel were likely gonna present the glitch as he wields a glaive and has relative bad initiative. regardless, am back to a situation where in tb combat sosiel all too frequent loses an attack and tb combat hangs 'for 'bout twenty seconds while sosiel and his mount jitter ineffectual. HA! Good Fun!1 point

13.9% finished per the achievement for doing so. Though I also have 2.1 and 3.7% for Pathetic/ Playful rather than 2 and 3. Number of players shouldn't make a difference from Steam, if everything else was equal. The two big potential differences is that GOG probably has a more, hmm, committed user base but also doesn't force you to use Galaxy- and if you don't you show as zero achievements.1 point

@bugarup, the words "Finnish Tango" immediately made me think of this. In the 1970s, Frank Zappa and his band decided to have a go at a classic Finnish tango in Helsinki. Obviously they jammed on it quite a bit. The funny bit is the singing: obviously Napoleon Murphy Brock, the vocalist, has no idea of Finnish pronunciation; it actually takes some effort to recognize that he is singing the right lyrics (presumably from the sheet music, I can't imagine he'd have memorized them). The result is an absolute treasure.1 point

Because they have decided for ages to turn blind eye on rampant corruption in these countries. Paradox is, this helped pro russian and anti EU movements the most. Because surprise surprise, these are the most corrupt and take money from anywhere I know, because I live in one such country, where in the next election, might have neonazi populists in government…1 point

Quasit's seemingly easier because the game gives you 2 (or maybe even 3) myffik levels since Overtuned Furry on top of number of regular levels. I think he made me reload a couple of times because when he hits, he hits, but on Liches he was too busy putting his infinity+ buffs back to do anything. I do remember him well from super annoying bug, pardon, ~feature~ where you cannot loot him until he unpolymorphs like, hours later.1 point

Well now that you mention it.....I honestly can not recall a Kevin Costner performance. At least Tom Cruise has Eyes Wide Shut and Interview with the Vampire to his credit.1 point

Hogwarts Legacy continues to deliver the goods. I still get CTDs here and there; with a lesser game I would probably set this aside for a few months (and possibly never return), but this game is enjoyable enough and the world is just so incredibly great to explore that I'm happily willing to put up with the growing pains of a brand new game to keep at it. This is the first legit GotY contender of 2023; it doesn't do anything new or innovative, but it does a lot of things really really really well. It's just fun; almost everything you do in this game feels good and the world is just such a joy to explore. The attention to detail continues to impress me (with the exception that if you swim when you get back on land you are instantly dry, there is no wet texture. I guess they had to cut corners somewhere) wherever I go. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since Avalanche was responsible for the excellent and criminally underrated Mad Max game.1 point

Elden Ring. Finally reached infamous Malenia. Yeah, I see what the whole complaining was about. First of all, a lot of Haligtree was giving me DS2 vibe with game showing you a problem and than surprising you with almost guaranteed death trap. And progressing through those death traps on consequent runs being tedious. Malenia's first phase is actually quite solid outside the bull**** swirly attack - it feels that surving the phase depends how often and when she will decite to use it. Playing without shield means death sentence if she triggers it after what would normally be a punishable attack. Didn't make up my mind about the 2nd phase yet - I don't live long enough to get a feel of her moveset. Of course bull**** swirly thing is still there, but there also some other contenders right now - I find the attack where she flighs into the air and sends he clones to attack you really difficult to read. I feel like overall the fight lacks distinct audio. If more of her attacks were telegraphed through sounds, I think I would find it easier to figure out what she is doing. Like wind-up to the switly attack is silent, and one would think they would try to indicate what is coming. It feels like they also could imprive chaing of attacks. Getting the same, hard to dodge rush+slash 4 times in a row is not a fun experience.1 point

Double Fine just released another documentary - this time about making of Psychonauts2 (the previos one was about Broken Age, which was very interesting considering how troubles this project ended up being).1 point

Hey @Gwynrick, I'm sorry to say I don't have any plans for further expanding on this I'm afraid. My aim with recreating Durance was at first as a way to explore how Deadfire's conversation system worked by referencing and recreating a PoE1 conversation. And then just used it as a way to show off some of what is possible in making a sidekick with the Apotheosis tool. There is pretty much only what is in that video, which is Durance's introductory conversation hub from PoE1, his banter with Pallegina and Aloth, and part of his voice set. Best I can probably do is release what is there?1 point

Serbia being in the EU might not mean much, given that Hungary is in the EU, and look at what it does. The EU itself is in trouble with some of its members and policies.0 points

Very apropos, considering I just talked to someone else about Top Gun: Maverick today and how I think the only thing I can ever see Tom Cruise is as a murdering psychopath thanks to his role in Collateral. Whenever he plays the "hero", I always can't help but think how much better the movie would be if someone just randomly blew his (character's) brains out during the first act before we're introduced to the real main character. I'm pretty sure I have actually seen that Robin Hood, because like you just mentioned, I remember Alan Rickman being...well, you know, Alan Rickman for it, but I literally...Kevin Costner was in it? Are you sure? ... Oh my gosh, he's literally Robin Hood. See, this is what I'm talking about...0 points
-
I'm guessing you haven't seen it (and I'm not recommending it), but his Robin Hood is similar in the sense that all most people remember is Alan Rickman's Sheriff, or maybe Morgan Freeman. His lack of strong dramatic on-screen charisma or facial expression usually makes him rather invisible or not especially memorable. Don't get me wrong, he's from my theater era so I have fond memories here and there, but I think the best I'd call him is...reliable. You know what you're going to get. I sometimes wonder if he's like Cruise, and should maybe be playing villains most of the time instead of the hero protagonist.0 points
