I think my Jets are the weirdest NFL team I've ever seen. We're near the bottom of the league in yards given up but 11th in scoring defense, 12th in sacks, and tied for 3rd for team interceptions. We run the ball really well when we have a healthy runningback, but our passing game is the definition of small ball. I guess we'd have 7 wins for the season before the injuries started mounting up (I think we have four linemen out for the year), now I haven't predicted any of their wins so far this year aside from Cleveland. I hope we don't somehow stumble our way into the playoffs--I don't what to hear my fellow Jets fans whining when we get blown out in the first round and outrageous predictions of Super Bowl runs for the following year only to win 5 games.2 points

At lower levels, I found snowball to be the most effective offensive spell. Forget fire spells and the wimpy missile. Snowball ignores the recipients magic resistance MR something I learned to prioritize my spell selections after. At least until Ember got elemental affinity fire, focus on evocation (and conjuration eventually) and greater spell penetration (plus its mythic variant). Nenio focusing on illusion and enchantment spells. But snowball will always have a special place in my spellbooks2 points

gonna respond serious. if they were morons, then they had always been morons. they didn't become morons 'cause o' limbaugh and bannon. ... japanese internment in ww2 was a politically popular move by fdr. the patriot act were passed post 9/11. ww1 sedition acts? the great depression led to embrace o' calvin coolidge's nativism. scared and angry americans has been all too quick to abandon core values--we were always worried 'bout future wars, attacks and major economic upheavals as precipitating events which would lead to the willful diminution o' american democratic values and Constitutional rights. even so, while Gromnir were frequent pointing out how income disparity and the inevitable disappearance o' manufacturing jobs were leading to radicalization o' the morons identified in the vid, we were naïve or perhaps even moronic 'cause we also didn't see 2015/2016 as analogous to the aforementioned post civil war american crises. we were envisioning a future problem. the notion a not particular popular populist such as trump could lead american morons to willful undermine democracy in 2016 were something we warned against as soon as 45 announced his proposed muslim ban to a cheering audience, but perhaps 'cause trump were so obvious one o' the morons in many respects, we didn't realize the scope o' the problem. more fool us. just another moron. The patch notes for 1.0.4 state mutations are not required due to one being impossible to achieve in single player. I am playing 1.0.4.3941 Rel on Steam. I have all mutations (and they are all max rank) except for "Reliable Friend" and my end game report card (99%) hint states that I need to unlock more mutations.1 point

Okay. I believe I have solved it. Right, so using enter for linebreaks means everything past that linebreak gets removed. I can see it as I submit the post, how the rest just disappears. But, shift+enter is fine. Worked both for editing a post and making a new one. I attached an image that might be relevant.1 point

It's a "hidden" Full Attack at the target enemy on top(!) of the crush damage Charge does in the first place. That makes it extremely effective against that one target enemy - and nice against the ones in the line of fire, too. The Full Attack is not mentioned in the description but it should be there. And of course a Full Attack is better with a dual weapon setup - and the crush damage doesn't rely on any weapon stats (it's works more like spell damage). Imo that's not a reason to abandon two handers - you can't use Charge too often anyways - but it might be a reason to contemplate about one or two dual wielders. I think with BotEP (which means a source of Marking/+10 ACC on another teammate) an auto-prone weapon is quite exciting. There's no immunity to prone and with high INT and decent recovery you can perma-prone enemies if you team up with the bearer of the BotEP. And you can spare the Knockdowns for the times when the auto-prone doesn't occur.1 point

If the Watcher has good PER and takes stuff like Weapon Focus then I think I would use one of the prone-/stun-on-crit weapons so he adds some CC to his weapon attacks. The following two-handed variants can be aquired fairly early: The Temperacl (Great Sword, prone on crit) The Hours of St. Rumbalt (Great Sword, prone on crit) Tall Grass (Pike, prone on crit) The one-handed ones all come later. I think overall I would prefer the Hours oSR because it has dual damage and does +50% dmg on crit which is cool with a char who has high PER but low MIG. The Temperacl could be a substitute until you get to the Hours oSR. Tall Grass is also nice bc. of the higher crit chance and the reach (which might be important if one goes for lots of melee fighters for sure) - the only thing which might be annoying is the pierce-only damage. But you could use a backup weapon of course. Like the aforementioned Temperacl (Great Sword nd Pike share the same weapon focus). I think I would give one Fighter a Firebrand setup (Belt of the Royal Deadfire Cannoneer, Forgemaster Gloves) because it rules until you get Durgan Steel - and it stays great as backup weapon throughout the whole game. I also like Tidefall a lot. High MIG kind of mandatory though. But it's potentially the best melee dps option. Generally Charge is better with a dual wielding setup (Full Attack at the target destination). So I would also look into that. Dual war hammers are a good pick imo. A really good auto-attacks dps setup is Sword of Daenysis + March Steel Dagger (maybe later Drawn in Spring if you like) because those come early and the double speed enchantment makes it quite easy to reach 0 recovery early in the game - which rocks. Somewhat calls for a vaillian character though imo with that "duelist" setup. I reckon you might want at least one guy with a shield to take the main tank position?1 point

Yes exactly. It's just simply not true to declare that there is pro-Russia Republican sentiment. Historically, it is Democrats who've been USSR/Russia-apologists, and Republicans have been anti-Russia. And even now, for every R who is publicly pro-Russia (yes of course there are some), I can easily point to prominent D's who are also pro-Russia, especially among certain left-wing academics. The R sentiment in Congress is, and has always been, that Biden's spending on supporting the war needs better oversight. And I would argue that sentiment is more about R's being against increased govt spending in general, and also being untrusting of giving *Biden* blank checks, rather than about anything to do with Ukraine specifically. And furthermore, key R leaders in both houses of Congress have already declared they will maintain financial support for Ukraine.1 point

It's time for my biannual daylight savings rant, and this is the good one, the one where we get an extra hour of sleep. Can we get rid of this stupid time travel bull$#+!? This crap didn't make a whole lot of sense when it was first introduced and it certainly makes little sense now. There are some places in the world, I think Arizona is one of them, with people smart enough to not conform to this madness. I wish the rest of the world would follow suit.1 point

our first ember build were necromancy/evocation and it were highly effective. from our pov, the real issue for choosing an ideal caster is less a matter o' spell selection than it is o' gear. is good spells in most o' the spell schools and with the mythics you may focus on a select handful o' spells to achieve excellent results. however, there is a large gulf in the availability o' gear which enhances the effectiveness o' particular casters. why does our sosiel often take a level o' crossblood sorc for water and either white or silver dragon... and then likely a second white or silver dragon bloodline through mythic? 'cause o' a relic shield which allows us to add 1 point per die o' cold damage. arcane casters typical cannot use shields, so along with the hide armour o' elemental carnage, am able to do serious extra cold damage on hellfire rays, stormbolts and the like. meta. 1 point per die don't sound like much until you add all those points from hellfire rays-- 45 at cl 15. an extra 4 points per die = 180 extra damage per cast o' hellfire ray and 80 points for the spells which cap at twenty dice. is also a comical amount o' gear which boosts fire damage. is fantastic for ember, yes? is belts and gloves and rings which all enhance fire damage. if you wanna build a dc inflating caster, then enchantment and illusion is arguable your best options... 'cause o' gear. is no way you know 'bout such gear unless you use a guide or have already played the game. even so, is possible to build an extreme effective necromancy focused ember just so long as you ain't playing unfair. there ain't enough dc boosting gear to make necromancy anywhere near as good an option as enchantment. meta. HA! Good Fun! ps 'cause o' curious owlcat implementation, there is a few disproportionate effective spells. among those op spells is creeping doom, scirocco, hellfire ray, grease and glitterdust. @Gorthmentions snowball, and for same reasons is grease and glitterdust on the list. conjuration spells ordinary ignore sr. the thing is, you should most assured not be able to selective spell grease.1 point

It only affects ending slides for your companions but it is required for the full secret ending unless you're playing Trickster or Demon. If you want to do that, then keep that in mind, or suffer through Enigma. Again. For most regular party setups, Nenio is hard to drop, there aren't many arcane casters in the companion lineup. Sure, Ember is a staple for virtually every party, no matter if you make her a Hellfire Raylgun (I am so not sorry for that pun), or an enchanter/summoner Ember. Some manner of arcane control and blasting is too good to pass up, so unless you're playing an arcane caster MC (so, in essence, a Lich making use of the merged spellbook) you might want to keep her around - or hire a merc.1 point

I dont see much of a change with the likely GOP control of Congress, just more oversight on aid but it wont stop. 70% or so of the US still support Ukraine. And this also because of Putin's propaganda because he turned this into a " this is war really about the US\West and Ukraine are just puppets " when its about the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the US\NATO is not involved directly in the fighting. They provide resources and aid, thats not the same as saying " the US is at war with Russia " https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/three-four-americans-say-us-should-support-ukraine-despite-russian-threats-2022-10-05/1 point

The wiki lists a 1% chance for gold cards to drop from normal creatures. According to my observations, this is approximately the way it is in the game, and this is quite an acceptable value. However, for creatures that are few on the map, plus they have a long respawn time, this value should obviously be significantly increased (at least up to 5-10%). And at the same time, introduce some kind of outfit into the game (for example, a trinket), which additionally significantly increases the chance of dropping gold cards (and at the same time the amount of loot from mobs).1 point

Touch of Grass > Touch of Root imo. I think the build is totally fine. For aesthetic reasons I personally would combine the Helm of the Falcon with the Devil of Caroc Breastplate (beautiful combo imo) or the Blackened Plate (which is very fitting for a Priest of Berath of course) with its own helmet.1 point

One of the few places I hadn't visited yet was the jail... not the one in Drezen, but the one Baphomet calls "home". Generally easy going (fight wise). Hated the puzzles, but once you could see the number sequences, it wasn't too bad. Just incredibly obnoxious. I don't know if I did the following in the right order or if it could have been done differently:1 point

I finished Plague 2: Attack of the Rats. Overall it was a good game, but not without its problems. Let's start with the positives. This is a great looking game, on par with anything from a AAA studio. Sound design is equally great and the voice acting is terrific. Top notch production value all around, you'd have no idea this was made by a AA studio. I can only comment on the xXxBOxXx version of the game, but it ran nearly flawlessly. I had one hiccup about 2/3 of the way through where the game suddenly froze, although I could still hear dialogue. I thought for sure it was about to crash, but after about 5 seconds it started moving again and everything was fine. Outside of that one freeze there were no crashes, no stutters, everything ran buttery smooth. The vast majority of the gameplay was quite fun. It was mostly a stealth game with light puzzle elements and figuring out how to get through areas was a good time. I mostly took an approach where I tried to ghost areas and kill as few soldiers as possible, except one section with slavers, I went out of my way to kill them. The run for your life sections were always fun and the two turret sections decent enough. The parts where I got to walk around without any threats were also welcome changes of pace. I liked all the gameplay except... Well, let's get to the negatives. The game has forced combat sections where you are essentially locked in an arena and have to kill all the enemies. For most of the game, these are few and very far between, which is great. Early on, they're fairly short, but eventually they throw more and more waves of enemies at you. These were far and away the worst parts of the game IMHO. The combat wasn't bad, but it wasn't fun either, and it became a real slog when the combat just kept going and going. Eventually, I just dropped the difficulty down to narrative to get through the combat sections as quickly as possible, then I bumped it back to normal when done. Toward the last quarter of the game the frequency of forced combat increases drastically and that chunk of the game sucks. Also, I feel the game was a bit too long. This is, of course, going to be very subjective. Some people are of the opinion that more is always better, I disagree. This game definitely outstayed its welcome. Not massively so, but the last few hours I was definitely just wanting it to end, rather than looking forward to what happens next. Now, let's talk about the story. It was told well and the pacing was great, even if the story went on too long. However, the story itself... I have to go into major spoilers from here on. You have been warned.1 point

That being said, out of the "harmonizing" part that I don't believe to be necessaery, I don't think Draconic Fury compare that much favorably with Minor Avatar from the same Tier. Draconic is an unique spell so should probably be a bit better. The Terrified part is less convenient than the Tier 3 Repulsive Visage and the lash part, albeit good because lashes are great, is not as good as the bunch of stats from minor avatar. Therefore, setting its cast/recovery to the same as Minor Avatar (4.5s/0s) is probably a good idea.1 point

Putin acknowledges with thiś that they do not have the means to enforce naval blockade of UA ports anymore, especially when Erdogan announce, that all ships will be transporting grain under Turkish flag. That’s why such a fast u-turn happened, as Putin finds it less embarassing for him, to backtrack, than to engage with Turkish navy, which has now upper hand in Black Sea Putin being concerned about third world is as much likely as him being concerned about casualties of his army1 point

Yeah - the damage that you then inspect in the combat log can be misleading in this case I guess - because the detailed info shows what got rolled by the "dice". But that info doesn't show that you can't deal more damage than the enemy has health left. Would have been cool if the tooltip showed that last step as well.1 point
-
Focus gain is a portion of actual damages inflicted. You can't inflict more than the target HP. So if your target has only 10 hp left and you deal 41 damages, your focus gain will be based on 10 damages done, not 41. It is quite similar to many drain life/drain mana effects from many various RPG.1 point

I'll help you out. The Shyamalan Twist in The Sixth Sense (1999) is that Bruce Willis has been dead the whole time but was unaware of his status as a ghost. So "I guess this is what Bruce Willlis felt like when he realized he was dead in The Sixth Sense." indicates a realization of a ongoing phenomenon a person was previously ignorant of.1 point

Double? You probably already did it. Everyone who sided with Wenduag did a Harem in the Labyrinth in Another World when entering the Maze with her, Seelah and Camellia. And from Wenduag’s pov, the whole game is So I’m Spider, So What? Now what I want to know is: does resting in the Wintersun cave to trigger Arue’s romance dialogue count as Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? And is Mephistopheles The Devil is a Part Timer since he just stands there doing nothing most of the time? Edit: And if he just stands there, does this counts as JoJo's Bizarre Adventures?1 point

it is possible to go from lich to gold dragon, as improbable as that sounds. our previous lich run were not a fun experience as our intention were to do a lawful lich with only as much limited overt evil as necessary, but owlcat's vision were making a mess o' our plan. even so, if am gonna ever do another lich run is gonna be with the plan o' going the gold dragon redemption route from lich... 'cause. HA! Good Fun! ps our dog is now able to stand under its own power w/o screaming when making the attempt, so we did manage a little wotr gaming even if we still don't get much sleep-- am so lucky am retired or am not certain how we woulda' handled the dog situation. point is we did have time to do blackwater with what is now our high charisma skald azata. the best joke exploit made our hard run the easiest blackwater attempt we has yet tried.1 point

In hindsight I should probably have kept my trickster (that means a full trickster run some day). But legend was the plan from the outset. I have no idea how far I still have to go in the current game, but I imagine in my next game I'll try something squishier than my barbarian (even if adding 15 levels of bard was not the best option to "bulk" up my barbarian ). Maybe a necromancer turned lich or a druid turned angel or something crazy like that. Interesting ideas and concepts being more important than beating the game on high difficulty settings for me... Yes, wimp I am Edit: A similar phenomenon to when I play Kill Team or Horus Heresy. Winning isn't the sole objective as much as an interesting fight with lots of narrative in it.1 point

@BartimaeusThey may well put out more videos with limiting power consumption in the future.
