  1. Actually Kerch Bridge was priority nr1 since day 1, as this was used as a primary supply route to southern occupied Ukraine. Unfortunately it was always out of range of UA weapons. edit: Russia already ordered rationing of goods in groceries in Crimea. Little bit insight on how it was used, and how it complicates things for Russia.

  3. huh. haven't tried, but this looks kinda brilliant if it works and am having little reason to doubt atk. would love to be able to cook a steak in a non-stick pan. sure, we got the infrared broiler on our viking, but am genuine curious 'bout the cold sear and am especially looking forward to testing with salmon. probable would be applicable to thick burgers. HA! Good Fun!

  4. ... and other random AoE spells. To be more explicit, I'm speaking about spells from this list : - Storm of Holy Fire - Minoletta's Missile Salvo - Meteor Shower - Magran's Might (not technically an AoE, but follow the same obscure rule for its Pulses) - Great Maestorm* * Maelstorm is a kind of double spell. It has a classic Crush/Frost pulsating AoE (such as the Symbols) and a random Fire/Shock AoE. The 2 effects have no connection. I will be speaking about the random Fire/Shock AoE part below. 1) Pulse : These spells do have pulses, as for classic pulsating spells but it does not appear in their description, or sometimes a 3s pulse appear in the description but is wrong. (From the gamedata file, they have a pulse attribute of 3s but this attribute isn't used) What they do not say is that they have a "number of random hit" attribute that appears in their gamedata file. You can therefore deduce the pulse interval by dividing their duration by this "number of random hit" as the "number of random hit" stands for the TOTAL number of pulse for the base duration. Here are the actual numbers : - Storm of Holy Fire : 12 pulses, happening every 0.75s for 9s - Minoletta's Missile Salvo 12 pulses, happening every 0.125s for 1.5s - Meteor Shower 16 pulses, happening every 0.5s for 8s - Magran's Might 8 pulses, happening every 1s for 8s - Great Maestorm 6 pulses, happening every 1s for 6s (for Shock/Fire part) The pulses do happen periodically for the duration. Now what's interesting is that you can extend the duration as for other Pulsating spells. As for Pulsating spells, Intellect does matter, but Power Level has not effect on duration. So with INT 20, you'll get 50% more random pulses. However, there seem to be something that causes having about 1 less pulse that what you could expect. For example : - with 10 INT Magran's Might has 7 pulses. - with 20 INT Magran's Might has 11 pulses. I can't say if it's always minus 1 or if it could be more or less in certain case. Let's say it's 1 less pulse as an approximation. (This is the contrary of normal pulstating spells that gets 1 more pulse than you could expect : a pulse happens at 0s) 2) AoE These spells have 2 AoE sizes : - The first one is rather big but isn't extended by INT (what you see extended by INT when aiming Maestorm is the extension of the normal Ice/Crush pulstating component.) - The second one is smaller and happens at a random position in the original AoE. It is extended by INT. What can be surprising the position of the secondary AoE is the position of the CENTER of the smaller AoE. So, if it happens on the border of the initial AoE, due to its own radius, you can hit something OUTSIDE of the initial AoE (friendly or not, depending if you are in the friendly zone or not of the secondary radius. Basically, you have more chance of hitting : - A bigger target - A target closer to the center of the AoE - When you have high INT - When the secondary radius is bigger in comparison of the first. See below the comparison of Initial (not modifiable by INT) /Secondary radius (modifiable by INT) : - Storm of Holy Fire Initial 5m, Secondary 1.5m - Minoletta's Missile Salvo Initial 2.5m, Secondary 1.5m - Meteor Shower Initial 5m, Secondary 1.5m - Great Maestorm (random part) Initial 5m, Secondary 2.5m (not displayed by the ability) Therefore Missile Salvo and to a lesser extant Great Maelstorm have higher chance of hitting. Missile Salvo usually hit the "main center target" with all its projectiles. 3) What is special about Maelstorm Maelstorm is doubled by a classic pulsating effect which AoE is 5m extendable by INT. However, only the "red" part of the UI display matters for the random component. I said random secondary AoE can happen at any position within the initial random AoE. That isn't true for Maelstorm though. Maelstrom pick up a random valid target within its initial AoE and applies its 2.5m AoE to hit. This means : - Maelstorm random pulses will ALWAYS hit something (as long as there is at least one valdi target in the RED AoE) - If there is a single valid target within Maelstorm RED AoE, it will get all the pulses (with 20 INT : 4 Frost/Crush pulses and 8 Shock/Fire random pulses. Goodbye !) - If your foes are clumped within the RED AoE, they will get all the Pulse (originating from one of them) That is one of the reason why Maelstorm feels so powerful But also unique. Now that you know the rules, you are free to use them in a smart way !

  5. Mostly interesting for @Mamoulian War and @Lexx, I suppose: For everyone else, Germany's current chief of the Federal Office for Information Security founded a registered cybersecurity lobbying association with wonderfully close ties to the FSB and Russian cybersecurity company Infotecs, which this year, curiously enough, renamed itself to Protelion, and was founded some 30 odd years ago by former KGB mathematician Andrey Chapchaev, holder of the Russian Order For Merit to the Fatherland. Protelion sells security software and hardened mobile devices, which according to their own advertisments is installed and used by millions of devices in Germany and incudes specialized equipment designed for high profile politicians and government officials. The Federal Office for Information Security more or less declined to comment about the usage of their software and hardware solutions in Germany's government, only saying that none of their products is in use at the the Federal Office for Information Security. Their head aside, who most likely is a product of Protelion, and a nepotism hire, being the son of a prominent CDU politician and so incompetent that he's been called a Cyber-Clown by actual information security experts. Good job Germany, and here I thought it was embarrassing that our former minister of foreign affairs curtsied before Putin (who came to visit her marriage ceremony and gifted her earrings worth northwards of 50k €).

  8. I'm running an arcane archer/bleak walker using spearcaster as my main weapon and watershaper's focus being passed between me and fish boy whenever I'm fighting something immune to pierce, going for massive acc bonus stacking. currently my MC is hitting a max of around 110 acc at lvl 8 with spear caster at superb. I'm using thaos's headdress, ring of focused flame, maia's armor, and a pet that reduces armor cooldown penalty. struggling to find any major ways to improve the build at this point in terms of gear. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  10. Since Fresh Storage is an end-game item, could it be changed to reset decay of stored items to 0 and possibly also let them also be stacked while inside? Of course, would be unstacked upon taking them out in that case. Also would be nice to have an earlier, smaller and worse version of it that can store less items, no stacks, and no reset of decay. If above was implemented, that is.

  13. As @Constentin Lévineshowed: they stack. But keep in mind that the AoE of Shared Flames i pretty small. Your AA/Bleak Walker shouldn't stand too far away from Pallegina if she's using Shared Flames. Her ability "Vielo Vidorio" stacks with other reloading/recovery buffs if I'm not mistaken and has a bigger base AoE than Shared Flames. And imo 20% recovery bous is better than +15% burning lash (with a smaller area of effect).

  14. I finished the battle of Minas Tirith in LotRO. They did a good job of depicting the largest battle in Middle Earth history on a 15-year old gaming engine. It felt frantic and a lot of NPC's that have been giving me quests for 100+ levels died. It helps that they have a great source template to pull from, but the storytelling by Turbine/Standing Stone Games has really been remarkable. I imagine I'll be marching on the Black Gate soon. Or maybe I'll buy a house and relax a bit with some festivals. That was a pretty intense week of fighting.

  17. Would you look at that? It does indeed make roof top access easier! It was probably one of those self fulfilling negative expectation things. I didn't expect it to work, so I never tried it, therefore it didn't work Lesson learned (cleared out most of the roof tops). Solved a few more companion quests. Greybor is finished, Lann and Wenduag's differences got resolved in a conclusive way. Camellia is happy (and horny as never before). Nenio got to experience "friendship", stopping short of "friends with benefits". Sosiel's brother joined my party. Not too shabby for the general brawl fights. Notable outstanding companion quests are for Arueshalae and Ember (oh my...). Got hot date with a demoness at the arena. Still some ways off being notorious enough to be noticed by the local ruler. Bought a bunch of slaves too. In true chaotic fashion, some got sacrificed in the arena (to buy myself entry to the more interesting fights), some got set free, some got sent to the Nexus. The new proprietor of The Ten Thousand Delights was more agreeable to Camellia's requests. It was apparently not the first visit of hers. I did try out some of the merchandise before Camellia of course (just quality control, you know...), which gave me three demon heads, which i keep for later use, as I don't remember from top of my head having any use for them. Herrax also functions as a vendor with some higher end equipment.

  19. am kinda simultaneous doing treasure of the midnight isles in act iii with our aeon as well as a new run with a dirge bard. for the hell o' it, we redid all o' blackwater on hard difficulty with the aeon and am now doing the dlc but have only finished island 1. the dlc vendor sells 99 scrolls o' everything, a large bag of holding, as well as a few endgame belts. is a lockpick iii at the bottom o' the regular item menu, which likely is unnecessary as is only a handful sooper difficult locks/traps in the game, but it were interesting nevertheless. maybe this eve we will go through island seven o' the first group... or maybe we finish off grey garrison with the bard. perhaps we finish off some rl stuff which has bee demanding our attention? unlikely. @Gorth consider the search o' all rooftops accessible with mass dimension door. is not a huge amount o' content on roofs, but there are a couple o' nice bits o' loot. warning: there is a particular challenging rooftop encounter in the same map as the slave markets. you might wanna save that fight until you are all but finished with alushinyrra. HA! Good Fun!

  22. I didn’t pay much attention to the buildings and had built only one Supply Center, in Drezen. So I never had much Material Points and haven’t built enough Buildings that give Logistics points… I returned to Wintersun, where I talked with the mad half-elf and fought against the Siabrae. I triggered the battle with Seelah and kept the rest of the party away because of the cloud spell that causes ability damage. Ember had to roll a 19 or 20 to Dispel it, but Seelah and the summons managed to survive until they got help. Also fought against the crazy Specter who I fooled on my previous visit, when I took the whip from the prompted window when leaving the area, avoiding him on my way out. There isn’t much left on the map, apparently, so I headed to the Ivory Sanctum. Decided not to accept the demon’s deal simply because that is something I’ll definitely do in my next playthrough.

  24. the hand does more than set up a nice camp. he will act as a literal unseen guardian angel if you face near-death, but more important, when he heals you he also restores all per day uses o' spells and abilities. we kinda played with the mechanic and never saw a limit to the number o' times he would free heal/restore you. is potential for exploitation as time does not pass when the hand heals. HA! Good Fun! ps (edit) am mentioning 'cause the result o' the hand's heal is unintuitive. is quite possible you don't realize how the mechanic functions until you spend considerable time in the abyss and then finally ask the hand to heal you instead o' camping.

  26. I was right, I ended up going to hell Ok, not quite. I'm sure The Midnight Isles is somewhere where good guys don't go in the afterlife. It was a bit tricky at first, but I managed to navigate around. Picked up half a dozen companion quests, found the respec guy (I'll try changing my mythic skills into Perception instead of Athletics. Found the arena too and I'm not known as the Mephit Slayer Found a bit of Cold Iron and some magic hides/skin of magic creatures too. I seem to remember the storyteller needing that to complete another artifact for me. Buying a lot of slaves, a few nice (and very expensive) pieces of gear from one of the vendors. Someone had those special crystals, but the name was in quotes, so I suspect it was ironically meant and he was trying to rip me off with forgeries (and didn't pay 50k gold for it). After getting ripped off badly by the inn keeper, I realized this was not a good place to sleep. Too much corruption (I'm in hell, duh!) and too much ambush at night. Took me a while to realize the Hand of Iomedae had set up a nice, safe camp for me in the Nexus. Edit: Found a few tokens, that allows me to use the portal for at least a bit of quick travel.

  27. check to see if you got a logistics decree which has been overlooked, otherwise, build stuff and upgrade outposts. dunno. as long as you add structures and have completed crinukh's letters as well as similar crusade projects, gaining logistics should not be stalled. HA! Good Fun! ps am recalling you were delaying ivory sanctum, but am thinking you got a post sanctum decree which you need to advance logistics.

  31. Well, getting hit by Terrify is super annoying and the same goes for frighten (can't use FF ability then etc.) so it's not too bad of a tradeoff I think. There's plenty of other stuff that you can catch. And as said the main source of hostile effects should be your FF ability. The rest is cherries on top. Add Hylea's Talons and you will experience noticably more wounds for example. And do more dmg.

  34. am not sure if being "dirt poor" is essential. if you are able to save money and get a decent product, then am not seeing cause for loss o' dignity, but keep in mind that growing up we did indeed qualify as dirt poor and there were a particular bad winter when for almost a month-and-a-half our family subsisted on nothing save bone and ketchup soup and jiffy pop... and the soup were getting mighty thin after the first month. when preparing food for guests, we don't go cheap. additional, we don't mind spending premium to enjoy good ingredients and quality food, 'cause what is the point o' having more money than when we were dirt poor if we refuse to ever spend the money? converse, if am able to acquire quality fare on the cheap, am gonna take that option. why spend more? am also seeing added benefit o' preventing food from going to waste while potential helping out a local vendor during tough times by purchasing what woulda' previous been an unsellable product. everybody wins? where is the downside? am also gonna note that a few o' our favorite restaurants and meals is hardly the kinda thing you would expect at a michelin 3*, but so what? we eat meatloaf (and simillar) 'cause we like it and not so much 'cause am trying to save a buck. the food in your post looks fine. as long as the fare also tastes fine and is safe, then am saying, #@$% dignity... but Gromnir might not be the benchmark for dignity seeing as we has been posting gromspeak for better than two decades. heck, the vehicle we got most daily use outta for same decades has been a 97 chrysler t&c minivan, 'cause it were the best auto for our dogs. taupe. we drove a taupe pre 2000 minivan for decades? our sense o' dignity/vanity is questionable. HA! Good Fun!

  35. Our local Asian restaurant joined the Too Good To Go service. Me, being the miser that I am, immediately tried it out: So, that's a whole lot of maki (regular and California with avocado, salmon and tuna), fried shrimp and calmari, Korean sticky chicken with noodles, fried chicken wings with rice, a box of potato wedges, some salad and a whole bunch of fried fruit with honey for 9.98€. The only downside is that the pickup time is from 14:50 to 15:00 each day (their lunch break, they close until 17:00), so this will only be viable for working from home days. Well, and you really need to be completely free of that useless feeling of, ah, dignity to go and grab leftovers, because while the app is trying to sell people on saving otherwise wasted food, let's face the facts here, this is takeout for people who are happy with whatever they get for really cheap. edit: With the perspective offering no real insight regarding the size of the boxes, that's two full layers of maki in the box, not just the visible one on top.

  39. I have been playing some Overwatch2. It's a really good patch. New gamemode is a very natural fit for the formula and nice variation on "push the payload", new maps are great, new heroes are fun to play. Rebalancing so far seems for the better, and move to 5 v. 5 shakes things and I am curious to see how it will develop. The issue remains monatization with O2 becoming free2pay. Pretty much say goodbye to cosmetics as gaining anything through gameplay seems nearly impossible at the moment, and prices are unreasonably steep. It being free to play you will be always overpaying on top of rather high prices. We will how achievable new heroes will be. From what I gather so far, getting to required level in free battlepass will be rather tough feat to pull of within short timeframe given, and $10 for a new hero just feels a bit too much for me. At the same time, not gaving access to heroes is bound to sour the experience and switching to counter has been the game's staple - no matter what Blizz is claiming now, access to right heroes is still key. Pay or not pay, the progression just feels rubbish. Pay for battlepass, and then you have to grind away to get what you paid for - or pay even more before season ends.
