There are some Knocked Down effects with an extendable duration (unlike Prone), with no Resistance or Immunity to counter them. Their duration increase with Int, PL, Ability Level (for them from items), Enfeebled and Dispersed Suffering, and are reduced by enemy Resolve. Mule Kick (1.5s) Fighter Skyward Kick (1.5s) Monk No Quarter (2s) Rakhan Field Boots (as beneficial effect on enemy) Run Through (4s) Whisper of the Endless Path (as beneficial effect on enemy) Hounding (5s) Wicked Beast Also, their is an effect from a weapon that is Hard CC without Resistance, but it is very special : Pukestabber's Debauchry inflict on crit (33%chance) to Kith or Wilder a "false" stunning effect that is not an Hostile Effect! So that is not alterate by the enemy Resolve, and can be extended by a confused Priest (Salvation of Time). Because of the race restriction, it is not always useful, but some bosses are Kith or Wilder (like Sigilmaster Auranic). Birta do not hold alcohol.2 points

Still working my way through Pathfinder WotR. Turned down the difficulty, and inevitably blow through just about every combat in five seconds flat (though see spoilers). Had the same issue with Kingmaker, at lower (character) levels the difficulty is very granular and you need to know the right order to do everything in to get the levels up at the right time, at some point on the lowered difficulty nearly everything becomes easy. Liberated a city, splattered some demon armies, now I'm anarchist Jesus or something. I'll probably start posting in the actual Pathfinder thread for the next update, since I'm getting a bit further through.2 points

Made it past the last boss of those augmented enemies. 100 face? Something to that effect. A pain, taking several tries, but it felt somehow more manageable than the big circular room with the three demons. Specced Aru back to 14 levels of ranger. Bought some of my old gear back from vendors to give to my mounts Then that old relic, whatshername Galfrey decided to show up and tell me to get my butt in gear into the abyss, which I sort of did. Well, part The Midnight Fane and part The Abyss. The fun stopped at a guy with a bad sense of dark humour. Playful Darkness I think his name is. Tried it twice before calling it a night a sleep on it. Ember can spam Death Wards (which seems to increase my chances a bit) and summons seems to be the best to keep him occupied. I'll work a bit on a better approach when getting back to the game tonight.2 points

We do have a saying here: Give a cake to the socialists*, and there'll be a part missing, the rest goes to the people. Give it to conservatives, and the entire cake will be gone and only crumbs left over. Give it to (extreme) right-wing demagogues, and even the box goes missing. *Means our social democratic party, not socialists in the sense most of you people take it. And a joke: Ron De Santis, an American and a Mexican are sitting at a table. They're brought ten cookies. De Santis eats nine, then points to the Mexican and yells: "Careful, the Mexican wants your cookie!"2 points

Finished the game. Was surprised I got through it so fast. If I think back to Witcher 3, it felt to me like the game went on forever. Ending was not bad. Pretty sad. Would say it's kinda well done. Not sure how much flexibility is in the last couple missions, though. Wish it were more like Deus Ex, with more open maps and ways to get around and stuff. Feeling motivated to start a new character - as male V this time, because I want to know if I'll like the voice more. That said, I've heard lots of negativity around the endings beforehand, so maybe my expectations were low.. however, now that I'm done with it, it doesn't seem that bad to me. Really seems like lots of pissed off people just produced lots of hot air.1 point

So far I'm loving the game, but my one "major" gripe is the lack of ranged weapon/thrown weapon variety, having all the different arrow types is cool and all, but it feels stupid not having any real variety in the bows themselves. It doesn't just have to be bows, throwing sticks, boomerangs, darts, atatals, and more bombs would be greatly appriciated. A relatively simple idea for a weapon would be a sling to launch rocks or clay pellets. I mean the minute mankind discovered cordage they made slings. Thank you all for listening to my rambling idea.1 point

To be more specific : - Passive effect from weapons benefit from Weapon Enchantment level - Active effect (such as run through) from weapons benefit from both Weapon Enchantment level AND Power level scaling (as if they were level 1 for most abilities). That's why passive effect are quite good and active effect are often crazy good. Usually, having an active effect on your weapon isn't your priority (one should prefer general DPS stuff or repeatable effects), so I think it's good this way. As @Constentin Lévineis adding, the effect from other passive depends on what tag they have.1 point

My favorite is Berath because Symbol with Corrode damages is great and AoE Weakened is usually quite useful. The double Incarnate is also sweat, and you get a few other good spells from other classes. Eothas looks meh (not much spell from other classes) but the Symbol is great (AoE +all defenses on top of damages ; it is arguably the strongest in raw power, even if fire damages is annoying) and the triple summon is arguably the very strongest (you basically summon 2 lvl 20 priests and 1 lvl 20 fighter). The later require the BPM bug correction (without it, one of Berath incarnate does not work). BPM also decreases Eoathas Incarnate duration, because it will be broken without it. You still need a Tier 8 backup in case you face some foes resistant to your Symbol damage type. The healing/fire beam is great (unless your symbol has fire damages) and Spark the Soul of the Righteous can be super strong with a few summons. I find Wael and Skaen symbols inferior (and well, Woedica too) but because backup tier 8 spells are far from bad, it isn't that bad as it sounds. They have great bonus abilities from the first tiers. Magran isn't versatile enough for my tastes, but once more, it is not very critical. SC Priest really requires backup spells when facing fire resistant foes. They have some, it is just that some subclasses won't work well as damage dealers when facing such foes (once more, for SC it is mitigated by Spark the Soul of the Righteous). So in conclusion : really anything works. So just pick the flavor you prefer.1 point

The creation of such a deal needs to be kept in secret, so all the Vatniks would not go ****posting all over the internet all day long, how is NATO again prolongating the war in Ukraine1 point

So far someone manage to find 20 trinkets. I do believe that the trinket you mention that have drop rates are for the multiplayer experience. But I have found 2 Trinkets that look the same, they look like badges and my friend and I both understood that the shared world would have some limit to our gameplay. There should be 5-6 Badges as trinket, these trinket are for sure only obtainable once. So it up to you and your friend to decide who get to use which one.1 point

Not from Streetfighter passive, but from Backstab and Sneak Attack. Voidwheel's Necrotic Lance is a Ranged Weapon Attack (bounce with Driving Flight).1 point

I don't know if it was intended as misdirection, but the "reveal" happens in Act III (you get some hints though when going through her childhood home) iirc.1 point

I suspect I could metagame the encounters in WotR to play on Core Rules. It's just way too much effort to do the first time through. Far easier on a replay. I think technically the weirdest difficulty 'curve' I've seen is still something like Oblivion. Nothing like having bandits dressed in armour that they could simply sell and then retire for life from the proceeds of; and the 'best' character development strategy being never to formally level up past 2. To be clear, I'm 100% expecting that to be misdirection, at least in so far as it being the 'big secret'.1 point

Oh yeah, he's a lot of fun. The best strategy for him are swarms (Cammy can summon them), and trying to dispel his buffs. He's a melee fighter too so if you kite him he can't unleash a full attack.1 point

Our local Asian restaurant joined the Too Good To Go service. Me, being the miser that I am, immediately tried it out: So, that's a whole lot of maki (regular and California with avocado, salmon and tuna), fried shrimp and calmari, Korean sticky chicken with noodles, fried chicken wings with rice, a box of potato wedges, some salad and a whole bunch of fried fruit with honey for 9.98€. The only downside is that the pickup time is from 14:50 to 15:00 each day (their lunch break, they close until 17:00), so this will only be viable for working from home days. Well, and you really need to be completely free of that useless feeling of, ah, dignity to go and grab leftovers, because while the app is trying to sell people on saving otherwise wasted food, let's face the facts here, this is takeout for people who are happy with whatever they get for really cheap. edit: With the perspective offering no real insight regarding the size of the boxes, that's two full layers of maki in the box, not just the visible one on top.1 point

You would be surprised, but these are from Wartranslated direct translations of Russian social media But yes, Dudchany has been mentioned in the WarMonitor tweets. Russians are speaking only about Beryslav direction, which is approximately 75km away from frontline. In the light of these information, deepstate map UA and the official AFU media from Zolota Balka and Shevchenkivka, which are away 15-20km away form Dudchany, it seems pretty much plausible. I am tripple checking what I am writing with at least three to five different sources, sometimes even including Girkin nowadays and yes, there are still a lot of rumours running around. But I believe you and other people on this board, can see from what I post, what is considered as rumour and what is stated as a fact easily1 point

Some Russian sources are in panic mode over Kherson front as well. Some of them claim, that Russian defense line has been moved to the town of Dudchany which is 25-30kms away from the closest liberated cities in northern Kherson Oblast, even on the most optimistic front maps… AFU still maintain operational silence in the area…1 point

More and more people, including Russian sources are hinting, that defense of Lyman was actually commanded by Putin himself.1 point

A humble reminder, that this war started in the winter as well, and in this period, the Russians had the biggest casualties in this war so far. No wonder, than most of the Russian PoWs captured in this period were wearing stolen UA army underwear. Also, Because of their tactics of scorched earth, they pretty much made a lot of cities in their possesion undefendable during the winter due to completely destroyed infrastructure… A little prediction1 point

I tried that crafting system probably like twice before I said that I was literally never, ever going to craft anything. I kept to my word...of course, I also quit the game when I got to like level 30 and stopped trying to play MMOs thereafter, .1 point

For WotEP I think it is a case of weapon-bound abilities benefiting from weapon enchantments, sneak attack etc in general. Voidwheel's Necrotic Lance also deals huge damage with its damage over time from sneak attack, Streetfighter, etc.1 point

Ok, good to know, thanks for that. This was precisely my impression, too: a person who makes a speech like that is likely to be clinically mad. It is not just fanaticism or propaganda anymore, it's something altogether more sinister and deranged. As for your Hitler comparison, Putin has "gone the Hitler way" in another sense, too, by taking command of at least some of the military decisions. That is almost certainly not a good idea, in the strategic sense. He is exceedingly unlikely to make good choices.1 point
-
Indeed. High-ranking US officials have been saying off the record after Putin's speech that they now believe Putin is deranged in the clinical sense. I personally couldn't help drawing comparisons to how Hitler looked and sounded in his late-1944 speeches. And this guy has his finger on thousands of nukes. Let's hope there is a Brutus somewhere within that regime.1 point

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, another thing that is great about the Coyote is that it's shape allows you to basically plow every vehicle out of the way at top speed without suffering any major consequences in terms of speed or trajectory. Traffic is just a minor obstacle. Then again, I also just plow through people on the street, that's just free cold blood experience.1 point

The only cheat I always did was to max out the ability score on the PC, why roll a 100 times when you can just edit it the first time.1 point

She's a pretty good character, as far as the NPCs goes. She's the best good-aligned Mage, so she's the best pick if you don't want Edwin. She has just enough Thief skills to make all rolls, sometimes with the help of a potion. If you don't go around backstabbing, there's not much reason to have a full Thief, so she's a pretty good choice.1 point
