  1. Some new finds : Current's Rush Low Tide (10% crit damages) is universal Sharpshooter's Garb Return Fire ( 15% hit-to-crit after missed by a ranged weapon) is universal, even if the description say Hit-to-crit for ranged weapons.

  2. A conversation between two Russians on a Russian street during this war: "What's your favorite brand of car?" "Lada." "Lada? You're crazy! Clearly you don't know cars." "I do know cars, but I don't know you." I found that funnier.

  4. If you want to look at some good map of the gains and loses, I recommend this one: https://deepstatemap.live/en#12.25/47.3020/33.7324 much less bull**** than on the other available maps. Also more reports from today emerged. The explosions are reported all over the Kherson Oblast in the right bank of Dnepr. There are also reports of simultaneous local counteroffensive in Zaporizhia Oblast, where some villages might have been liberated as well, and a lot of explosions also happening in Melitopol, with partisan doing their job. Russians fled/abandoned the military hospital in Melitopol among the expolsions and attacks. Biggest success so far near Inhulets bridgehead, 3 villages liberated for now, but the situation is still considered fluid and this might change during the night. Another reported big success is in the north of Kherson Oblast, where one of the main Russian fortifications in the town of Arkhangelske allegedly fallen, and it is rumoured, that this town was liberated as well. This one is for me a little bit to good to be true news, so we’ll see in day or two. Also small village of Zolota Balka in northern Kherson close to Dnepr might have been liberated as well.

  5. I don't have any problem with banks earning a profit and charging interest, by the way. I appreciate my local banks and the service and security they offer, and they tend to be transparent about interest rates and costs. But when we are talking about necessities like housing and education, there needs to be controls in place to keep the average person from being fleeced by the profit machine.

  6. It kind of works if you assemble the Blade of the Endless Paths, enchant it with "Marking" and combine that with other defense-debuffs of the enemy and/or accuracy buffs for a party member. Paladin/Soulblade could do that with Psychovampiric Shield and Tactical Meld for example. Paladin/Priest has Blessing + Devotions, Paladin/Rogue van use Confounding Blind to lower enemies deflection even further. A Wizard's Essential Phantom will use the same weapon as you - and the Marking of Blade of the Endless Paths from a Phantom will stack with yours - leading up to -40(!) deflection on the enemy. So an Arcane Knight (Paladin/Wizard) can be a very good "marker" and also be sturdy as hell because of the numeerous self buffs of the wizard side which stack with the Paladin's passives.

  9. new dlc today, but more significant for those playing wotr for the first time, https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1184370?emclan=103582791469275223&emgid=3225161106688762145 is substantial changes, but have not read in entirety. we did notice one curiosity: "All animal companions with horns and tusks finally recalled they shouldn't bite, and started using their horns at full capacity. All animal companions with gore now perform a free trip attack with gore;" so, boar, elk, mastodon and triceratops now get free trip? hmmm. "Weapon Finesse (Mythic) will work with the finesse weapons only from now on." doesn't affect Gromnir, but am suspecting howls o' anguish from a few people. HA! Good Fun! ps "Feyspeaker druid finally got some new DLC spells in their repertoire" which is likely interesting to nobody but Gromnir, but am gonna need see what were changed. charisma casting druid were all borked and the shadow spell dcs were busted since beta, though potential more effective previous to one o' the post release patches. have wanted to play a gnome feyspeaker druid since release, but...

  11. Yes, using a Fighter with Knockdown or a Monk with Force of Anguish in combination with a Darcozzi marker and a Priest with Inspiring Radiance+ Devotions can make the life of a dragon pretty miserable.

Also I imagine most of the Russians in Serbia have a long term plan of emigrating to some western state. But that should paint you a picture of how much their opinion matches that of the average Russian.

  18. @Boeroer Thanks! I really appreciate all this information and the offer of help. For now I'm going to try to stick to not using console so I can work on the missing achievements. If necessary I can put Eder on the reserves bench and create a custom replacement. I do love Deadfire - I think it's amazing - but I wish they had implemented it with more flexibility for the companions. So many amazing multi-class/sub-class combinations to try and would love to try them whilst still keeping the companion dialogue. This is one of the few things I prefer about the Pathfinder games, you have more choice about classes for the companions (though their early levels are still restricted).

  20. That is correct. Achievements for that run would be disabled. It wouldn't touch the achievements you already gathered though - just the ones you would potentially gain during that run. If you use the UnityConsole mod the achievements will not be disabled. Console can always be used to do this at any stage of the game. There's no limit (other than the achievements getting disabled for the rest of the run then). I don't know about the mods. Depending what you did with the companions it would need more typing though. The easiest way might be to go retrain that companion in an inn and cancel the level-up process. This will automatically remove all the abilities except he ones you get at lvl 1 - just means you won't have to type as much "removeAbility" commands in the console. But you totally can transform a companion without retraining with the help of the console. If you need help with something like that just tag me with @Boeroer.

  21. Ok, this is... awkward. I was an original kickstarter backer for Pillars of Eternity and got the "Kickstarter Hero Edition" plus "The White March" two-part expansions and apparently this includes the "Giant Miniature Space Piglet and Gaun's Pledge pre-order items". Thing is, I never... redeemed the rewards... Just slipped my mind. Thought I did, apparently didn't. Now, ironically, I have re-purchased the "Definitive Edition" as part of Humble's "Storied Strategy and Role-Playing Bundle", which includes the "Deadfire Pack" and "Royal Edition Upgrade Pack" that I didn't own, so now I am trying to figure out what to do with these two copies of the game. Are the Kickstarter rewards included in the "Definitive Edition" or are they-still Kickstarter Exclusive? Do I redeem all on Steam to get "The Complete Pack" or do I double-dip and redeem the Kickstarter pack on GOG or gift it to someone who won't take 8 years to remember they even owned the bloody game? Please, roast away... Oh, and as a Bonus, also ask me if I already owned the Definitive Edition from when it was free on the Epic Store... (come to think of it, maybe that's why I thought I had redeemed it?)

  22. Hi Fab. Do "Alternate Class Feature" and "PoE2 Deadfire Tweaks" work without problems with the latest version of Deadfire? I know Deadfire hasn't received any updates for a long time, but both of those mods were last modified a long time ago: 2018 (Alternate class features) and Jan 2019 (Deadfire Tweaks)? HI Boeroer. Thanks for this as I wasn't sure how to do this in Console. Do you know if doing this turns off achievements? I got 50/55 achievements in Deadfire just playing vanilla +DLCs, and hoping to get the remaining 5 achieves in this run. I think I read somewhere that using console to make changes turns off achievements. And to both of you, do you if it is too late to use these approaches (mods/console) once you have selected the companion, picked their class and started to level them? Best wishes, Vas.

  23. Yes. That's how it works. Same target, nearest ally also attacking that target. Doesn't matter how far away if Sagani's the only other ally who's attacking the same enemy as you (the marker). Clicking on the enemy in order to attack already counts. The marker doesn't need to land a successful hit or so. As long as the status is "i want to hit that enemy over there" - attack mode - it's already unlocked for your nearest ally (who wants to attack the same target). Yes, the one of them who stands closer to you. That is false. Only the nearest ally to the marker who also attacks the same target as you will profit. Unless you manually stop the attack mode each time after an ally has landed a hit (to "free" the marking for another ally). Then, in theory, everyone taking turns in attacking the same enemy could profit. But it would need an immense amount of timing and micromamagement. Not suitable for weapon attacks imo. This can work well with spellcasting though - because (without AI) a caster will stop attack mode after casting a spell and just waits which will move the marking bonus to the next caster who casts an offensive spell on that enemy. That is correct. Although Marking of two different weapons won't stack on one ally. If Pallegina with a marking weapon attacks a dragon and Edér does the same with another marking weapon - and there's an ally nearest to both of them who also attacks the dragon - that ally will only get the Marking bonus once (for unknown reasons). Besides that little detail, Marking and Coordinated Attacks stack with everything. Marking can even stack with itself if you use two one-handed marking weapons on the same character. Dual-wielding two marking weapons I mean. The only possible weapon combo here is Shame or Glory + Cladhaliath with the proper enchantment though. All other marking weapons are two handed. If you do that it results in 2x+10 ACC for the nearest ally who's attacking the same enemy as you - not only +10. Coordinated Attacks (and other ACC bonuses) then come on top. You can read more about it here:

  24. Speed Racer Challenge of the Masked Racer pt. 2 I have very dim memories of Speed Racer as a kid, and watching this episode, where Speed puts on Racer X's mask and get knocked out triggered my memory of watching the show. Fun episode, lots of funny reactions, particularly as Chim-Chim tries to find Trixie to help Speed and Spritle.

  25. My plan is to use Weyc stuff + Shasha Scimitar + Unstable coil in late game. So "Her revenge.." invocation will be here to trigger it, I don't want to use melee weapons, spamming spells is very fun and intensive Essence Interruptor is just here for the fluff and the potential summon.

  28. Sorry for not taking humour as humour, but it's neither artistic nor brilliant. You do recognize, of course, that the same dehumanizing rhetoric is used on the Russian side, too? So where's the difference, then? There isn't one. Another example of the same phenomenon would be an American Democrat dehumanizing an American Republican with the same vitriol that the Republican uses to dehumanize the Democrat. Once you sink to that level, it doesn't matter which side you're on, because the problem is in the fact that you sank to that level.

  29. I completed SoD last night and it was a very entertaining DLC for BG1, well worth the experience. Its gets a solid 70/100 on the globally respected " BruceVC game rating system " The key take-aways and indelible points from SoD were I enjoyed the large battles like Boareskyr Bridge and the assault on DS castle I decided to take the challenge of the one-on-one duel with the bombastic and arrogant Ashatiel, I had my doubts I would win because Im a wizard but I got lucky with Wand of Paralyzation and then once she was frozen I killed her with spells like Magic Missile I thought the maps like Underground River had some interesting quests I decided to poison the DS Castle water and food and I used the barrel explosives to destroy the gate, the crusade had to be defeated and I had no qualms about using these types of controversial strategies I aligned with Caelar Argent in the final battle against Belhifet, I understand why she did what she did and I forgave her I enjoyed the appearances of the Hooded Man\Jon Irenicus and how this tries into the BG2 narrative, Im considering continuing with BG2 but I probably wont because I played BG2 about 12 years ago and I remember too much about the narrative so I may wait a while?

  30. As long as your paladin has intent to attack target after first swing(i.e even if its reloading/recovering but not if its running to new target) everyone who hit the same target will have bonus applied. Marking even stacks with marking and coordinated attack.

  32. I suspect a lot of people (well, gamers) will be waiting for the 3d chips, and others want to avoid Early Adoption Syndrome for DDR5/ a new chipset. Objectively it's not a bad launch, it's just less good than some of the previous Zen launches, and doesn't give a massively compelling reason to upgrade.

  33. I disagree. Some terrible movies have rather straightforward plots, they just fail spectacularly in many facets of execution. Other terrible movies, however, have completely bat$#!+ crazy plots, bordering on incomprehensible. In those cases, I absolutely want to follow the story as best I can. I want all of the madness. ALL OF IT. In a Lovecraftian story I would 100% be someone who got too curious and delved too deep, winding up as a broken-minded half-fish cultist.

  35. I can understand where you're coming from and agree that Aliens is a big fall from Alien (I have not seen Top Gun and do not intend to), but still I think on the merits of the films themselves Aliens is better than Maverick. Perhaps this is just my weird self, but I usually try to judge films in a vacuum. The more I think about Maverick the more its popularity puzzles me. I can see the appeal of less overt CGI effects (despite some claims of being all practical, there are over a thousand CGI assisted shots in Maverick), but so many films have done that and have been more solid in all other areas. Maverick is like a hollow candy, when you crack open the spectacle of REEEEEL PLAAAAANES it's just hot air about a 60 year old man's long midlife crisis. Just this year we've seen Everything Everywhere All At Once and Three Thousand Years of Longing drop kick the absolute **** out of Maverick, and hell ELVIS was a better time than Maverick, so why the hell is the scientologists war crime adventure so damn enduring? Really grinds my gears. Seriously Anyways.............Three Thousand Years of Longing is in the same tier for me as Everything Everywhere All At Once and I recommend it to anyone. I want to see it again because it really does give you a lot to think about and works better after a night's sleep. Between that and Bram Stoker's Dracula I guess it means I like bittersweet supernatural romances.

  36. I'll reserve judgement until independent 3rd party benchmarks. I think it's safe to assume AMD is going to slaughter Intel in the power efficiency department, but a fair percentage of people don't care about that, so raw performance benchmarks regardless of power consumption will be of interest to those people. Power efficiency is of high interest to me since the eventual mobile APUs, where power efficiency definitely is important, are my focus.

  40. In the resp. year of release PoE sold +500K copies while Deadfire only sold +100K. I don't know the long term sales numbers though. I only read (mostly Twitter-) messages of Josh and some other devs who reported the break-even point of Deadfire and then somewhat later said that it made a profit in the long run. But one can imagine that it's a big disappointment if a sequel (initially) sells a fifth of the copies of the original game.

  41. Personally I dont think so, but Conjuration KW (I mean for others than wizard summoned weapons). The ability to summon a weapon is a summoning skill but not an elemental one. According to the description : "Creates a thick wall of gnarled thorns that inflicts Pierce damage and applies a Poison that causes a Weakened state", it is not the druid spell itself that give a poison attack. The plant KW is appropriate for what the druid do, I think.
