Doesn't Duras leads you right to the Berserker base in Elex 1? And you pretty much have to actively avoid running into him. I blundered into some Mordocks before the Berserkers in 2, mostly because I saw #1 observation about Elex 2- it's really really easy for a PB game. That's even more evident than the character models missing bump maps? normal maps? and thus looking like they've had a pallet worth of semi gloss foundation applied to their faces.

I am surprised how much I enjoy the Guardians considering how little gameplay it has. Someone in Eidos Montreal must have a thing for Lamas - first Shadow of Tomb Raider now this. I wonder if that's why they dropped Deus Ex - it's a no-Lamas-allowed universe.

Brisco County - EP5 Brisco in Jalisco Brisco and Socrates journey down to Mexico seeking a stolen shipment of guns. This episode features the return of Dixie Cousins, as well as my boy Pete. Despite a hint that Bly might be involved, this wound up being a side quest episode. Interestingly, they explain why Pete is alive here (gut shot), which makes me wonder if this was originally intended to air before EP2. They also very much ship Brisco and Dixie, something that could have potentially blossomed in later seasons. Alas, we'll never know. This was the least comedic episode so far and the first without Bowler. Still, it was a thoroughly enjoyable adventure and any episode with my boy Pete is alright in my book.

It is quite difficult to shot tank 0.5 km away with NLAW or some other light anti tank weapon. NLAW's maximum range is 1km and it is effective from 20m-800m. And it is not like Ukraine has NLAW's to waste, so they most likely take high risk in order to make sure that they destroy their targets instead of waste shots.

No idea I'm afraid. The LAW & AT-4 were manually sighted. The TOW was guided. None are currently in use as far as I know. Out running a tank is not hard. Out running .30 caliber small arms fire or 105mm tank sabot is much, much harder. Edit: Of course if the tank is firing HE or WP don't even both running. You'll just die tired.

1km should be at most, not least, given that's the maximum range of the weapon in theory.

I would completely agree with you on this except for one very important detail: YT is a monopoly. So people cannot take their voices elsewhere when YT censors them. Private entities controling content on their platforms is their right, but only so long as they're not the only game in town. It's why I am very strongly in the camp of needing to break up the tech monopolies.

Oh, no, that was a bit different. So far, while I didn't like some of the villains and found their reasoning stupid, they were at least consistent with their characterization. Shounenpads already defeated the girls and could have just killed them, but the endless mockery of his compatriots about being weaker than a pair of 14 year old girls made him give them back their transformation devices in order to defeat them in fair, "honorable" combat to prove that he is indeed the stronger fighter. He lost and died. Predictably, because he didn't have a chance in any of the fights before. It was still perfectly in character for him. Dumb-as-rocks was just dumb and had little to show other than brute force. The lady villain was smart about everything and came really close to defeating or even killing the girls, and would have, if the other boy on the villain squad didn't interfere. She was eventually pushed into a direct confrontation and, well, lost. Kiriya, meanwhile, just liked Honoka more than he should have, and with Honoka refusing to fight him at all, he just gave up and left. The last, pretty creepy guy on the squad is the only one so far who held his own in a fight with the two. So far they've always just been stronger than the villains or could rise to the occasion, unless being tricked or separated. I mean, that's one of the more consistently nice things about this show, the way the villains aren't complete morons and realize the position they are in. Creepy mage guy was already beaten in an episode prior, but only just barely, and he surprised them in this one. Leaving after having gathered the knowledge where the stones are isn't as senseless as I made it out to be, perhaps, but it's inconsistent, he should have at least tried to push his advantage while he had it, but the episode runtime was out... granted he'd just have lost becaues how else would this go, but still, yeah.

RT is not only medium that youtube doesn't allow on their site. They have moderate their content from beginning based on what they think is good for their platform. So I am not sure why people now think that youtube censor some media outlet when they have censored millions and millions users and outlets for decades. Is it because they don't publish videos from outlet that has multiple tv channels, web pages and had for some reason been censored by YouTube even though they have broken YouTube rules multiple times which would have lead permanent ban for your normal user

The invasion of Afghanistan was not about access to the resources because what resources Afghanistan has are largely in tribal controlled areas or areas that arent safe to mine in for international companies and to this day most of resources are inaccessible The invasion of Afghanistan was about 9/11 and the irrefutable fact that AQ attacked the US and the reality that the Taliban were giving refuge to Bin Laden. It was a perfectly legitimate invasion unless someone thinks the US and its allies should have done nothing about 9/11? Its also not about the race card, the Taliban took over Afghanistan and said they dont want the US or a Western presence in Afghanistan. So now the Taliban run the country why are we blaming the US for the state of the country and the anti-Western rhetoric from the Taliban ?

Emi, episode 8...the beach episode. Of course, no anime can be complete without a beach episode, can it? Well, sort of: it was really just an excuse for Mai and her family to visit a different city so that she could become friends with a local group of boys...without those boys having to join the cast, presumably. It was a nice episode, especially because it culminated in those boys wanting Mai, and not her alter-ego Emi, to do magic - the first time something like that's ever happened. Didn't that already happen with the first guy? If they're mindlessly ripping off Sailor Moon wherein Jadeite refused to stand and actually fight when Usagi started off so weak and pathetic, I think it worked in Sailor Moon better because Jadeite never seemed too interested in direct combat - he preferred to use magic to make other stuff fight for him, so once whatever/whoever he was using was defeated, he usually retreated. It's a pretty different kind of situation when you have villains actually winning and then just...stopping for no reason.

A war in Ukraine seems like an overly elaborate way to clean house in the upper ranks of the military. I guess firing them is too confrontational though maybe Putin is trying to spare their feelings by just getting them killed.

I stayed at Penn the first time I went to NYC as well. I was in town for a job interview when I was getting out of the military. I have enough bad cabbie stories that I almost felt no sympathy when they started complaining about ride sharing stealing their fares.

our ny list is almost entire food and music related. truth to tell our ideal "nyc" trip would likely be to grab a bagel from russ & daughters in the am or early afternoon, then pizza from roberta's in the eve, after which we hit the 55 bar for an evening show. aforementioned itinerary would likely result in us being satiated with a full nyc trip and have us not need return for at least another decade. ignored by a cabbie after dark and verbal abused by a cabbie during broad daylight were achieved w/i first few days o' arriving in nyc our firstest time as an adult... in fact, we acquired the insulting cabbie cheevo across the street from msg as we were trying to get from the penta hotel (no longer exists) to the un for a free speech... speech. after getting in the cab and asking to go to un, the driver began swearing at us. to this day am not certain what set him off, but we decided it would be best to exit the cab. HA! Good Fun!

Free speech is about government preventing people expressing their opinions, which includes not publishing messages from the government. So in this case freedom of speech is on side of YT and against RT, which is government owned media and government that owns it prevents people expressing their opinions in multitude of ways.

They didn't COMPLETELY hate the first episode. Massive emphasis on "completely". They still spent 80% of the show burying Picard. I thought it was interesting that, for once, it was Rich dragging Mike back to torture him and not the other way around.

I do not doubt for a moment YouTube is doing out of the goodness of their heart or anything resembling ethics. It’s a business decision based on what gives the most shareholder value and dividends in the long term. I stand by, that it’s not not the governments job to censor things based on likes and dislikes. If the government is in a state of war, actively participating in a war, maybe different rules apply (seems reasonable), but last time I checked, only Ukraine and Russia are part of the armed conflict

That would be killing a cow for a pound of meat. They are dying because the Russian generals want to be on the front line and in the heart of the action, same thing happened in Syria, so the risk of death for them is basically the same as for any other solider. Although for certain this will teach the Russians some hard lessons, as they are making many mistakes it seems. Although a war like this hasn't been fought since WW2, so comparatively I don't know if any other country would do better.

Futari wa Pretty Cure, episode 22. I recently didn't have the time or, ah... inclination to watch that series, and now here we are. The episode was, uhm, yeah. Eh. I dunno why, but even in a magical girl series with talking weirdo magical animal companions, two regular dogs talking to each other like it's nobody's business is weird. Overall it was okay.

Oh, it gets better. The Confederation is going to hold "Eradication Day", a celebration of, uhm, mankind's enemies being eradicated, of course. This year's special execution is going to be the Borg Queen, and General Picard already requested to be granted the title of Borgslayer. I wonder if that's going to be the storyline for the entire season, because unlike the Discover mirror universe episodes, this isn't goofy, campy fun, but deadly serious and utterly cringeworthy. It's also not the mirror universe, of course, or even a mirror universe, but just a branched timeline. Imagine of the Brotherhood of Nod and the Federation from Starship Troopers had a bastard child without any fun, camp or satire, and here you are. Ugh. I think Westwood needs to demand royalties here. Can someone with decent Photoshop skills give Picard a goatee here? Please? Oh, before I forget it: Legolas starts chopping up people again, Picard shoots up a stage, uhm... things are back to normal. I was worried I'd have to like this, for exactly one episode. Phew.
