  1. Not when it comes to any cult of personality person, that's fairly consistent. Rules are for the unwashed masses slaving away in the mines, and it is pepper spray for those stepping out of line. The elite? They can live by their own rules. You know what that spells?

  2. I did very much like the "feel" and atmosphere of PoE1&2. Hopefully they will manage (and aim!) to tranfer this to 3d space.

  4. I'm happy to annouce this design is mostly working bar a couple of parameters to adjust. But I'm going to take a little break for about 1 week cause I'm becoming tired fighting with my agenda to find time for developping and testing. I hope I won't fail my Resolve check ! See you soon !

  5. If you enchant Effort with Lacerating in addition to Hemorrhaging, each crit will not only proc the latter as well as avenging storm, but also the former's raw DoT. A SC druid wielding this weapon can really wreak mayhem! Edit: I did some further testing and discovered that Lacerating only procs from hits from the weapon itself, and not from crits from spells. It's so crazy when you wield Effort with a druid with multiple spells lashing foes that it is challenging to discover how the different effects comes about.

  8. I love the PoE aesthetics Design, arts, interface, colors etc.. For me, visually PoE Deadfire is the most beautiful isometric game I've ever played. I hope they keep that aesthetic in Avowed.

  9. Yes, it's a terrible stadium for anything except night games. Meanwhile, muh Boys just got their 87th penalty of the game. The Niners have 1 penalty. Edit: Bailed out after a downright sad 3 and out with a roughing the kicker on the punt. Make that 2 penalties on the Niners. Edit 2: Our punter hit the stupid giant screen hanging above the middle of the field. I'm still amazed that doesn't happen more often.

  10. They got rid of the Monterey Melt? It doesn't really affect me since I no longer get sent to Texas, but why in the world would they take one of the best items off the menu? Now if Cook Out ever got rid of the Cheddar Style Chicken Sandwich I would riot.

  11. Effort comes with Lacerating. When you enchant it with Hemorrhaging you upgrade the Lacerating enchantment.

  12. Whataburger is delicious but everything there contains at least 9000 calories. Still, the Monterey Melt is awesome.

  13. I don't think Tom Cruise actually alters matter with his mind as much as he's channeling Xenu's power through his medal of valor. He's a priest rather than a mage.

  14. Went to Whataburger as my normal hangover meal. They have a new spicy ketchup that is the best condiment fast food I've had. 20/10 would eat again.

  16. Outside of SuperS, Sailor Moon is pretty consistent in all of its key strengths...and weaknesses. If you're the type of person that loves its strengths while its weaknesses are conversely the least important part of the show to you and thus forgivable, then it would make sense you love it...and that would be me, . Ah, it's a classic case of an "instantly take you out of the show and make you become skeptical and annoyed with everything the show does even slightly wrong because you've become hyper-critical of its failings and weaknesses as the result of the show having gleefully and unabashedly shattered its own illusion of meaningfulness and integrity forevermore" moment. Well, at least that's what it would be for me - though such moments usually happen early on in cartoons/animes, so at least there's that. Tamako Market seems to be an exception...inexplicable as it may be, . No kidding - I've noticed myself randomly and reflxively CTRL+A-ing long messages in other places as a result of this phenomenon.

  17. The dlcs are a bit of a mess. The main thing that improved for me is that adding all this stuff allowed them to tone down the faction war, and factions no longer wipe each other out at a rate where you wondered why there were monsters in the game at all. DLC 1 adds cybernetics. The good: It gives the player options. It adds a new minor faction that for a while may attack havens, adding diversity to what you fight. The bad: The enemies are basically bullet sponge versions of New Jericho soldiers. You are resource starved so may not have any resources to waste on something so trivial as cybernetics. DLC 2 adds prehuman ruins and tech. The good: The weapons you research are powerful. New enemies and map type are fresh. The bad: Once you have played one new map you have seen everything the dlc has to offer. You have to manually collect the new resources with an aircraft hovering over the site. This is time consuming and costs resources if you have to craft an aircraft or two or three for this purpose. At least in my playthrough I did not get resource sites for every type of ancient resources, making some tech uncraftable in my game. DLC 3 adds fliers. The good: It adds a new layer to the game. The bad: Air combat sucks. Aircraft are a huge resource sink. The behemoth is the giant base they always wanted to add and with this DLC finally didn't add. It stomps havens but you can't interact with it. To drive it off you have to defeat enough fliers, which it randomly sends out. In other words you sit there passively waiting. DLC 4 adds corruption and cloning. The good: Vat grown mutant clone troopers are cool and add variety to your roster. Pandorans can corrupt havens, opening up cool though tough liberation missions. Mutagen is finally useful outside Anu mutations. The bad: They overdid the need for mutagen. Corruption is is a bad system as all it does is have you waste mutagen to cleanse your soldiers again and again and again. Corruption increases the damage your soldiers deal, but reduces their Willpower. Losing 1 willpower out of 12-20 WP your soldier may have per point of corruption is too big a problem compared to the 1% damage increase they get. It also means that soon enough the use of a single ability will get your soldiers close to panicking. Clone troopers need mutagen to heal and to level up, but as you also need mutagen to cleanse your soldiers of corruption, it's not worth spending it on such a resource sink. For every good idea they have, they come up with two to ruin the fun.

  27. Judging by the portrait, in Expeditions: Rome, you can play a hobbit wizard: If you can't come up with a character name, just play a woman. They don't get names. Though I am pretty certain that randomly generated nickname is calling me a bitch: You start on a boat. Which seems to be every other game these days. With teenage Caesar as a tutorial npc. Someone should have told them that a Teenage Werewolf in Expeditions: Rome does not make for a good movie title. At least my boat has pretty green eyes: And it seems I have my own patreon already set up:

  31. Still Austin Cask Strength Bourbon This is a little weird, because it's actually smoother than the straight bourbon despite clocking in at 20 proof higher at 118. It's very good though, like damn good. I'd recommend it if you can find it.

  32. WhistlePig 10 year Rye Whiskey. I like it. It's very smooth but there is a small burst of heat and an almost grainy issue (though that could be a result of the microgreens I ate).
