I did, since I don't like teases like that, and just in case anyone else has scruples googling, here's the wikipedia entry, or part of it anyway. Wikipedia also helpfully says the factuality of this article is in question. Hence the allegedly.2 points

I just bought MW5 because of the talk about that sandbox mode. Let's hope I didn't waste my money on this one. : > /edit: So first mission was a total failure. Turns out I forgot everything about the game, even though I've played MWO intensively back in the days. Second and third mission went a bit better, but I'm still pretty close to having no money anymore.2 points

I've never used before this weapon on a fighter, but I have used it frequently on barbarians and druids. To my surprise I noticed that gathering storm, which is a "random" spell that procs on 50% health is quite strong. I was on my way to neketaka and I was near Beina at level 8 (potd), so I gave it a try. I was about to lose the combat then this happened. It just fantastic . The few remaining enemies were dead in a matter of seconds.1 point

The game I am currently watching videos of is Wartales. It's in EA and I don't buy EA games generally as a rule, but it looks very interesting. If any of you are playing it, I'd appreciate your feedback.1 point

Adding elevators, which could be designed from dumbwaiters, would revolutionize building in Grounded. It could be made simplistic, or relatively complicated with gears and ropes like in real life. To dissuade people from spamming the build to reach very high places in game by "cheating", you could make it very expensive to make and maybe very large to fit the whole group. That way, people would only build it in their bases and it would be more of a luxury build instead of a height spam. People already spam clover roofs as a ramp for this purpose anyways... This would be the tier 3 of stairs, where as tier 2 is the bounce web. It's recipe could be silk for the ropes, a choice of grass or weeds or mushrooms for the walls and floor of the car, and maybe some other things like boiler glands or firefly goop for adhesives and lighting. Like I said earlier, you could make it look sophisticated with gears on top of the car's support showing the ropes, or could sell the idea by just making it look cool. To operate it from the outside, you would just pull the rope (player pushes button) and it would come up or down, and you would do the same thing inside. You could simplify it by asking on screen what floor the player wants to go to, "up 1 or down 1" which would be shown as "push button for..." You could also just have the player select a floor from a pop up menu when prompted, or if too complicated only allow 2 floors per elevator, so there's just a prompt to "use elevator". To add a floor to the stop, the player could do it in build menu and attach the floor to the shaft, which would have to meet certain conditions and such to prevent bugs. The concept makes since since there's no electricity, and the concept has already been done in the form of dumbwaiters. I think it would be a great addition, and it would basically be the vertical version of ziplines!1 point

You may want to play a tutorial My strategy is to always negotiate for repairs at least once. It covers more c-bills worth if you get damaged than the same pick would provide in standard payout, though if you got less repairs the extra is wasted. Assassination missions are the easiest early on. I'd advise against missions that have you raze a whole base. It takes a long time and the opponent gets regular reinforcements. Don't pick multiple mission operations until you have enough mechs to swap out. You can't wait for repairs between those missions. Though each mission takes time, so while you use one set of mechs you can repair the other. What mechs did you start with?1 point

Son had a bunch of obvious mental health issues that the parents completely neglected. On multiple occasions they failed their duties as parents, including buying him a gun, not securing it, not taking any kind of action when he was caught searching for ammunition on his phone, or drew a gun and a bullet and wrote 'The thought won't stop - help me.' So on the one hand we have an obviously borderline mentally incompetent child, and on the other hand we have two actual adults whose job it is to parent this child. Adults generally have greater expectations of responsibility placed on them than children do, so yeah, I blame the adults who should know better than to put a pistol in the hands of a mentally unwell child more than I blame the mentally unwell child they 'raised'.1 point

Thanks for sharing! Very interesting. I did a couple rounds of testing with my level 20 cantor and Animated Weapons in various places (Uamoru the Pretender, FS Central Stacks, BoW Outcrop on High) with and without scaling enabled. Animated weapons had the same stats in all situations, which compels me to think that once you reach Lvl20 it doesn't matter anymore because your summons cannot go past Lvl20, unlike enemies. Is that fair to say? The other way around: knowing that Animated Weapons have an intrinsic level of 17, would summoning these as a Lvl13 Chanter in a +4 scaling area push the summons to Lvl20?1 point

Since we have manga now in the thread, I'll mention I recently finished Kazuo Umezu's DRIFTING CLASSROOM. 50% horror story, 50% Lord of the Flies survival story. Pretty good early 70s storytelling.1 point

Most likely. I first noticed the issue on a shrine ambush where Dichotomous Soul summoned by my level 13 monk is over-performing. That was when I checked the log and found out that they became level 17 juggernaut with legendary scaling. In case anyone is curious, there is a workaround(sort of) for this problem. Deadfire has a scaling table reserved for "NamedCharacter"). It scales characters specified as "IsNamedCharacter=true"(mainly used for boss characters) in characters.gamedatabundle independently of normal scaling rule. The scaling rule is similar to normal scaling but here scaling cap is +6. So if you are okay with boss characters having same +4 scaling cap as others, you can remove all adjustments from that table, flipped all "IsNamedCharacter=false" and then tagged the summons as "NamedCharacter". This way, summons will not get extra scaling from difficulty and always scale to your level. Alas, it doesn't work for figurines and summons where creatures summoned used the same data as bestiary enemies. (as this will cause same enemy type to stop scaling)1 point

Since this thread is now manga as well, I'm going to start re-reading 20th Century Boys. Here's hoping I don't go (even more) insane. Oingo Boingo Brothers are easily in the top tier of hilarious minor antagonists. Especially considering1 point

Finsihed the Mahoutsukai Tai! OVA. Very much recommended for anyone who laughed their asses off watching American Pie and likes anime. Everyone else, just... stay clear. Give it a wide, wide berth. There's an interview and making-of featurette with Sato and Itō that is absolutely hilarious and a blast to watch. They also seem to have made this OVA somewhere in a hastily cobbled together office at a run down building that they just squatted in. Holy crap. There's one hell of a mess, the lighting is terrible, there are no windows in Sato's and Itō's "office" (they're sitting back to back)... I mean, I know anime is made under terrible working conditions, but I thought that was limited to the animators or in-betweeners, not directors and chief character designers. Ms. Itō also really likes naruto. Not the anime, but the fish cake. They're lying around everywhere. Really. Everywhere. Eh, without that low pony tail Mr. Sato would rock one hell of a mullet here. You can't see that here, but it goes down quite a way. He also has a magic wand as prop. Look at the animators having an actual window... I also have no idea if that is a joke made for the documentary, but the staff is trying to sit on horizontal bars and brooms to see how flying a broom would work in real life, whether it'll hurt your ass or not, if you'd sway from one buttock to the next or not, all that. It's... weird. Yeah, weird is the word I'm going with here. **** edit: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: The MOVIE 1st (actual title) is a bit over two hours long. I started watching, but I'll do that tomorrow. I'm not feeling too well and it's pretty late already. Just from the first five minutes, it begins pretty similar to the TV show, and it really is just a retelling of a sort, but if you thought the original season looked not so hot, yikes. For a movie budget, this is... yeah well, anime in the 2010s. What else to expect?1 point

I've played Boeroer's geomancer build solo, and it is very tanky once you get your buffs up and summon a phantom to help deal with the aggro. It's definitely a very tanky build.1 point

20 minutes into Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha THE MOVIE 1st it looks like this is exactly what I was afraid it would be. First season action bits with very trimmed down character stuff, and it's blazing through everything at an even faster pace than I thought it would. Fate shows up at the end of episode three in the first season, and we have an hour to get to know Nanoha and her family and her friends and interact with Yuuno. Eh, and there's movie budget transformation scene that just goes on and on and on. Well, here's to hoping that the loli bits from the fifth episode were also dropped. Ohterwise they'll show up in about 10 minutes or so.0 points

About animated weapon. I checked my characters.gamedatabundle and in it, animated weapon has base level 13. I tested the ability via console and also got level 13 weapons. So it is either I modded them and forget(I tend to do that as I modded the main game files directly) or previous data were wrong. If it is former, maybe summon can't go past level 20.0 points
