  1. Yet. We'll make a weeb out of you. It has happened before. Better not try her cooking though. Yeah...

  2. We just got home. My general viewpoint of the Sac. area we were scouting is ... well, it's very sprawl suburban. Some areas look "rich" and nice, lots of side trees, some were more moderate, and ofc some sketchier areas, but in general it felt like nothing but clusters of homes separated by main roads, with said roads having strip malls for miles. Dull to look at, very same-y looking most of the time, nothing likely would interest me locally outside of any farther away downtown events. That said, the housing clusters are pleasant enough. Did see/find one house (the real estate agent we got/met was very nice/efficient, I liked him) that would totally be an "us" house. Backyard was a little small (not that I care, that's more hubby's thing) but it wouldn't matter since it would basically be a 5 min. walk from the front door to the American River/the huge main bicycle/walking/general parkway that borders it. A huge place to walkabout etc. and you don't have to take care of it yourself! No backyard neighbor, either. Hmm. Still undecided whether I really want to do it tho. But whether that house or a similar one we could us living there. I mean, all I do is stay at home anyway. But...hm. Just dunno. If we lived up there and rented the bay area house we'd probably come out 1k a month ahead and have the BA house paid off even faster. But I hate moving! lol.

  3. @BartimaeusI guess I shouldn't assume everyone has seen Big Trouble in Little China, but I kinda assume everyone has seen it since it's been on free TV 8 billion times over the last 30 years or so. It's just a fun adventure movie. Imagine a goofier Indiana Jones where the main protagonist is a c0cky yet lovable bumbling blabbermouth.

  4. They're not wrong when they say it's a movie that should only be 30 minutes long but was stretched out for a feature length release. The absurdity and nonsense of the padding is great, however, I'm fully aware that I'm one of one people on the planet that likes the film more for the absurd padding than the actual philosphical point it makes at the end. @Keyrock He clearly wants to make a contract with you. Be careful.

  5. @BartimaeusHow in the world have you not seen Big Trouble in Little China? That movie is awesome and it has my favorite Kurt Russell performance ever. Kurt Russell has given a lot of great performances so that's a big statement. Jack Burton is the greatest, largely because he's so ineffective.

  6. When it comes to Carpenter, my top 3 are: 1) Big Trouble in Little China 2) They Live 3) In the Mouth of Madness The first 2 feel like obvious choices while ItMoM is a bit of a guilty pleasure. What can I say, I love me some Sam Neil.

  7. I’m not much of an anime fan to be honest, but since Ghost in the Shell was new, I’ve watched two series, that I liked: Made in Abyss and BLOOD-C Both are probably what you would call an acquired taste, but hey, I quite enjoyed the stories (although Made in Abyss could definitely do with some kind of real closure)

  9. Hey... After more than a year since my Enhanced Companions Portraits release, i finally made a proper comparison "vanilla vs moded". Use it, if you like it. Or not. "Zoom" for most portraits were made for correspondence and harmonization to other NPC portraits.

  10. After 1600+ hours this is the first time I've done a combination of: - turning on Hylea's challenge (requiring you to escort and protect Vela) - having Rekke in my party as a primary companion Eventually Rekke learns common, as anyone who's used Rekke might know. What you might not know is that at one point Vela and Rekke interact and it becomes clear that Rekke is teaching Vela Seki. (in German because of my mod/I'm learning, but roughly translated: Vela: Hello Rekke: Have you returned for more Seki lessons? Vela: Do we really have to? Rekke: [something something in Seki] Vela Vela: [something something in Seki]) Just never fails to impress me how Obsidian adds these little bits of reactivity (with voice actors, no less) in extremely obscure situations that ~1% of the player base may ever encounter. (e.g. how many people have ever turned on hylea's challenge? and then played long enough with rekke for rekke to learn common?)

  11. Yes, it is definitely a feature. A fight with the Tyrant of Decay would conflict with the nature of the mod, which is meant to help you build a full custom party and experience it in battle. And even with a way to recruit before this battle, you won't be able to buy equipment, so you'll still be gimped. Even by nerfing the Tyrant, it would still be a pseudo naked Solo experience, and that is not how the mod is meant to be played, as it will put a specific constraint on your MC build (and my secret intent is of course to enable all styles of play, so people can get wild with my Balance Polishing Mod ahahahahahahahaha). I'll avoid this battle entirely and go to point 3-4, whichever feels the less awkward. Anyway, the mod users will know this is a only mod made by players and that the dialogue won't match exactly. Point 3 feels fine to get a proper introduction even if there are a couple of weird sentences about your "previous encounter". There might be a clever way to add back the Tyrant battle in a further version of the mod, but I won't go this way for the default/initial version. Level 16 feels sweet. Especially because it is a new Tier for everyone and Single Class even starts start getting their unique stuff at this point. Though I'll have the main character start at level 17 so hirelings will actually be 16. Then the experience gain shall be adjusted so your hirelings will be level 20 about 3/4 of content of the DLC (MC will be 20 sooner, and everyone will get their ultimate Tier unlocked before this point when reaching lvl 19). I'll go with 100k initial gold + amount necessary to get 4 hirelings, as well as a couple of weapons/armors of each kind in exceptional quality. I think the amount of gain shall be adjusted so you end up with several 100k gold (minus what spent). But I have no clear idea about the sweet spot. Adjusting the Gold Gain to the right amount will probably require a bit of testing, cause I can't figure the right theoritical answer for it. I think you can repeatly gain gold when farming the same battle several times in current SSS version. But I'm not sure. Anyway, I think this should be enabled (it was possible in black pit). Farming shall not be necessary (just a possibility when you really want to buy something before a specific battle). I'll unlock ALL equipment* and consumables, except the ones that can be unlocked through battle. You should already have a functional full list from you previous mod. If it is not too difficult, you can allocate items to the various vendors by category. *I would honnestly skip the Soulbounds with impossible conditionals for the version 1.0 of the mod. There shouldn't be too many of them. I guess it is not that complicated to edit the property of items to change the conditionals for something that can be fullfilled for a further version of the mod. It doesn't have to be very original. For the Voulge Tier 2, you can go with 750 shock damages (x3 Tier 1 condition). I'll go with the first. Getting experience is satisfying in general (that's a bit the tradmark of RPG after all) and Lvl 16 (17 for MC) is a point where you have already unlocked most of the stuff anyway, so you're already wild enough. 2. might be an option, if it's not too complicated, it might even work when combined with your other mod, nay ? Yeah, I think it is worth sharing there. I admit I forgot about this thread myself and only remarked you were working on it when you named me. My apologies for forgetting about it.

  12. His actual name is Ruka, I think. -ko is just a suffix here, meaning girl. That is why Mamoru calls Usagi “Usako” and the Japanese word for girl with glasses is meganekko (megane = glasses). Not to be confused with neko which is what Faris pretends to be. Nyan...

  18. Well, at least somebody liked it! I tried really hard to get it, but there was literally no atmosphere or tension at all for me, and I just couldn't get behind the way characters were acting or why certain scenes were filmed in the way they were (there was one scene pretty early on when the "stranger" was out eating raw deer in the woods that I think was supposed to be tense/scary, but between his ridiculous glowing eyes, the over-acting, holding on to shots that were at weird angles for way too long, and having it all happen out in the open in daylight...I genuinely was unsure if the scene was supposed to be comedic or not, and I really should've stopped watching there because it obviously was not). I don't know, film didn't work for me at all, guess it did for a lot of other people, though.

  21. @Bartimaeus My wife (at the time of watching it) disliked The Wailing too, and couldn't for the life of her understand why I loved it so much. For me it's one of the most atmospheric films I've seen these last years. Loved the rather slow pace, and that it still managed to deliver tension, unease and mystery throughout.

  22. Up until that scene it wasn't as bad as I made it out to be, but Okarin really grinds my gears, but that just exploded into something I had to use expletives for. Holy crap. I had the good sense to drop the u but forgot about sh*t being censored too.

  23. About Blood-C, the one and only season is a very slow starter. The first 2-3 episodes are mostly introducing the cast. @Bartimaeus it is indeed as you say. But as the episodes happens, more and more puzzles of a jig saw falls into place and nothing is as it seems. There is a reason why she's so happy go lucky just as you eventually figure out bit by bit the reason why she is so clumsy one moment and a Katana wielding samurai, slash athlete, slash killer, slash completely unaffected by the death of all her friends the next moment. Around episode 5 or 6 (iirc) , you realize as the viewer that everything you thought so far is wrong (/end of spoilers in case anyone wants to watch all 12 episodes some day). I actually mostly enjoyed the story and the twist more than the endless gore and innuendo.

  24. The costume Mayuri puts on Ruki is a mini-dress so short it doesn't even cover his butt. He is super embarrassed to wear it, and I am too! Yes, that's it. Mayuri wasn't all there, but she was likeable, but that's just... why? Seriously, why. Why is that even a thing in this anime? Kurisu comes in and stares hard at Ruka. Daru and Okarin call her perverted, but stare equally at him. Mayuri thinks he's cute. Seriously, what's next? Not sure, I think Okarin has a gay panic attack. Please make it stop.

  27. White Flames scales with PL and you'll have more Zeal per encounter, so it stays to be useful. Dual wielding is indeed the best thing for White Flames (which I find to be an odd design choice).

  28. A middle of the road Carpenter movie. My favorite thing about it was the sheer volume of gang members trying to kill that 1 dad. They just kept coming in waves like a horde mode video game. It loses points for having neither Kurt Russell nor Sam Neil in it. I love those actors so much and they both were in numerous Carpenter movies, not this one, though.

  29. This sounds like an awesome project! If the Tyrant of Decay fight is too hard, what about swapping it out with alternate enemies instead? I can't remember if the dialogue specifically mentions what enemy you faced in the first bout of the arena.

  36. Issue is that any modifications to the AbilityUnlocks array of the BaseProgressionTableComponent will override the original entirely. Obsidian thankfully added the BaseProgressionTableAppendGameData which allows you to seamlessly add new abilities, but there's no way to modify or remove existing ones. Progression Table editing truly is a pain in the ass. Try this: wildstrike frenzy pl7.zip For future reference: Copypaste the entire PT_Druid object (almost 10k lines woo) in progressiontables.gamedatabundle to your .gamedatabundle mod file. Search for the four "PL 8 Unlock - Wildstrike [...]" entries. In each of them, go to Prerequisites -> PowerLevelRequirement -> MinimumPowerLevel, set the value from 8 to 7. In abilities.gamedatabundle, search for the four "Wildstrike_Frenzy_" objects Paste them to your .gamedatabundle like this and make sure to set AbilityLevel (in GenericAbilityComponent) from 8 to 7: { "$type": "Game.GameData.GenericAbilityGameData, Assembly-CSharp", "DebugName": "Wildstrike_Frenzy_[...], "ID": "[...]", "Components": [ { "$type": "Game.GameData.GenericAbilityComponent, Assembly-CSharp", "AbilityLevel": 7 } ] }
