I finally finished Stonekeep. Now my soul is free from shame. Last time I tried to defeat Khul-Khuum I was a teenager and I failed miserably. But now this dark patch of my gaming history has been made clear and true. The game was okay.4 points

I'm loving outer worlds.. Brilliant. Only two things I'd change at this point of my discovery... Multi quest tracking (already been suggested on forum) & Quicksave(ps4) , which could be placed just below 'resume' on the current options screen. Of course, the same save restrictions would apply1 point

So Yakuza is turnstyle now? Anyway, I can have a dominatrix and a homeless man in my party. Sold.1 point

Was not familiar with the person, but was with the art. A very iconic style that helped color the tone of an era.1 point

If you are standing on a ladder or platform and get popped with enough of a DC charge it knocks you off that is pretty much the only way I can think of DC killing someone. It does not clench the muscles like AC. As an aside the worst shock I ever received was 1KV DC. Almost no current though. I was working on a radar transmitter. It was a TSQ-107B. It used a capacitive pulse forming network to drive the magnetron. I was replacing that PFN that day and had shut it off and discharged it through the magnetron grid. Well, still being new to electronics I had never heard of the flywheel effect and it's action in capacitive circuits. in the time it took me to pick up a wrench that PFN had recharged itself. Let's say that was a lesson I'll never forget.1 point

"Sounds great on paper" is actually the name of my new membranophone band.1 point

well good for holland if they figured a way to transform a mere $320k into a scheme which is able to erase from memories something which has existed for many generations. quite the trick if they can pull it off. here is hoping the dutch is more successful with their rebranding than the US has been with "freedom gas." *insert eyeroll here* as for the following: HA! Good Fun! ps a few days past, we bought prunes. we like prunes. we cook with prunes. the thing is, the packaging for the prunes only mentioned "prunes" in anemic little letters. instead, the prunes were being sold as "dried plums." noticed the change maybe in 2016 or so, and everytime we see repeated it makes us chuckle. recognition there has been an effort to rebrand punes as dried plumes is, in our estimation, silly. nevertheless, people were no doubt promoted for coming up with the idea, and packaging and advertising on an industry-wide scale were adjusted to accommodate the change. is there a kinda critical mass o' purchasers who would buy dried plums but forgo prunes to be making the effort valid? truly?1 point

It will, though. In ~5bn years, when its orbit is inside the Sun's radius after it goes red giant. One could make an argument that by preventing societal collapse, among other things by mitigating climate change, we are working towards becoming a Kardashev-II civilization that will be in a position to prevent Earth from taking a hot plasma bath...1 point

I have just finished 3rd level in The Endless Paths and later solved the Sanitarium main quest. Now I have arrived to Ondra's Gift and did fast exploration. I have already received the invitation to the Hadret's House, but I want to finish few more quests in Defiance Bay before moving to White March part 1.1 point

Could this be for perceived marketing reasons? It always appeared to me that the better the RPG, the more the mass-market players not only don't get it, but actually resent its features as impediments and sheer tedium to their ego-trip. They gloss over and click past the [carefully written] dialogs in the simple search for "Who do I have to shoot next, and what does it get me?". I think Bethesda learned a lot from New Vegas... but nothing I'd have wanted them too... It's as though they learned (or reaffirmed) that through further simplification (other than graphics) they leave less players irritated or confused (as to plot and their expected role in it); IE. the opposite of New Vegas. Or that they learned that the bulk of their sales go to players who essentially prefer DOOM to Dwarf Fortress, and look upon an RPG's best features with disdain. For some sad reason(s), Troika/Obsidian's (and certain other's) work always seems conceptually better than their more successful competitors, but always comes out second best or worse. It's like Watching Bugs vs. Daffy (minus the duck's signature caustic attitude, of course ).1 point

The problem with XBOX's befuddling naming scheme isn't a problem for you or me. They can call it the XBOX Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (thank God for copy & paste) for all I care. If I go to pick one up (unlikely, but who knows) I will understand what systyem I am picking up because I am a gamer and I follow this stuff. The problem is when random mom or dad who gives zero ****s about gaming goes to buy one for little Timmy and gets utterly confused because multiple machines share the same or highly similar names.1 point

Its reception has been fairly poor, but of course that is not a direct answer to your question. I can feel your pain, though: I loved BG2, PoE, Deadfire and P:K, and I would dearly like to play another game of that quality and in that genre. But as far as I'm aware, there aren't any.0 points
