  3. Wow, they didn't kid when they said that the final chapter of Celeste will be long and difficult. Seems like I am halfway there. It is a bit too much for my taste. I do enjoy the technical side of the challenge, but it got to the point that on some screens I am not sure what I am supposed to do. Had to check walkthrough twice now. It is telling that I switch to Dark Souls 2 to relax when I can't handle Celeste anymore

  4. When people see right through your nihilism: Kinky Arkham: When you are slightly unhinged: and you start seeing things: and can't control the voices

  5. Things in Stygian are going well for the forum vote character Donald. He is now Schizophrenic and has been cursed by <redacted> so that he cannot say <redacted>'s name. If he is forced to reveal the name, the curse will kill him. <redacted> says this is not a bad thing though, as having <redacted> as an ally can be beneficial under the circumstances we have found us in.

  6. And I made a RPG protagonist, only old lady instead of young dude because grannies are sorely underrepresented in video games. Though I'm having doubts about first playthrough with frail schmoozer. Maybe I should reroll as some sort of dumb brute?

  7. Someone had to go with the "average Obsidianite"... Gets me a free way to regain sanity through...entertainment This was initial character creation, game hung after it so I had to start over, current character is Middle-Aged rather than Adult, everything else remained the same though.

  8. The vote came in with 6/10 votes for Old age, gender tied with 5-5 and nihilistic (4/10) and aristocrat (3/10) both leading. As the male aristocrat had a name suggestion and one female aristocrat vote also specified the patrician background, the result ended up: And you may wonder who that other gentleman is... I HAVE A BUTLER!!! Some starting ritual from my Occult skills: First skill check (after putting on coat and hat) : And there are things in the river!

  9. I somehow doubt that he's making a non-violent, classless historical RPG with turn-based mode.

  10. no. impeach is simple majority o' those present in house voting in favor of articles of impeachment. conviction in senate trial requires 2/3. nixon example: glass half full or empty? when impeachment process started 'gainst nixon, there were similar little chance o' conviction. impeachment investigation changed opinions o' previous dismissive and/or ambivalent republicans such that nixon eventual quit rather than face inevitability. for better or worse, is not 1974. HA! Good Fun!

  11. I usually see glowing green cards on the "Resupply cards" screen after an adventure. In this case, this is because they were newly acquired during the adventure. It helps to quickly identifying cards out of your primary deck. On the other screens, honnestly i didn't paid attention on that before. I suppose that's for the same reason : new cards.

  12. You should turn it off for several reasons. For example a Corpse Eater can't eat a gibbed enemy. White Worms has no target if the enemy exploded. Death Runes and Urgent Harvest won't work. But the most important one is that it's just ridiculous.

  13. Yes and no. I'd be all for the graphical updates, but as there are spells (possibly also monsters?) that do not reappear in Deadfire, they'd have to redo them specifically for the port—quite a bit of work for a re-release, so I'm not holding my breath. I would not be as enthusiastic about mechanical changes. The first game was balanced around no multiclassing (which by the way would render the multiclass talents utterly redundant), no subclasses, per-rest spells, six skills, and DR mechanics. Changing all that to Deadfire's rules would require extensive, painstaking rebalancing of every in-game area and encounter, which I doubt would happen (much like it didn't happen in BG:EE; I can excuse Tutu/BGT as they were developed for free by modders who contributed their free time to the project.)

  14. wow, Volker is one of five officials summoned to appear before House committees next week the nothingburger, by Alexandra Petri Graham gestured to Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.), who was gazing happily at the transcript with an expression of calm. “There’s nothing there," Perdue murmured, confidently. Graham pointed to Mike Pence, who was smiling vaguely at nothing in particular.

  15. Turn based: Check! I tried Divinity Original Sin 2, but it just didn't do it for me. Maybe I'm too old school and feel the need for classes. In pretty much every respect, I prefer Deadfire, which is ironic since I had it in my library when I bought and played through Divinity for several hours. So, the best part of Divinity from my perspective is that I ended revisiting Deadfire because of it. Note, I'm not attacking DOS2. I just prefer Deadfire. Also, if I missed sarcastic subtext, I humbly beg pardon.

  19. After I'd pledged to Deadfire, I figured I was being loyal to a brand that had done right by me in the past. I would not have pledged anything more than base to Pillars 3. Now, to my chagrin, I've discovered a time sink in Deadfire, a most excellent game. Just amazing. I will buy Outer Worlds sight unseen for various reasons, one of which is the fact that it looks interesting. I would sink in even more money into Pillars 3 simply because of how much I've enjoyed Pillars of Eternity 2.

  20. Or Pillars of Empire, the New Microbsidian game. I would pick the Rautai, they are a powerful Gunpowder Civ. Have you ever dream of wololoing with a Cipher Rush ?

  21. OK, it looks like the new fix is in, and should allow the timer to reset if the forums are visited before it expires. If this is still not working for you, please let me know. I'd recommend wiping your cookies for the forums as this is all done with cookies. Thanks everyone!

  25. If there are settings that say per rest you could change them to per encounter. Or you could go into the abilities gamedatabundle and do a "replace all" for all Per Rest and replace with Per Encounter. I forget what the actual terms used are but it's very clear.
