never understood what people see on Bayonetta, but everyone have its tastes

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

Aww man, I miss that game. Instant buy. Can't wait for them to announce the sequel's port.

It's what Devil May Cry should have been after DMC3. (and I haven't even played it yet)

Sarah Palin.

Thank you for saving me 20€ :p

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

Elder Scrolls Online is free to play for the next 6 days. figured I'd try it. turns out it requires 70+ GB of disk space, I don't even have a partition big enough to download and install it :(

You mean outside of the series having the best damn spectacle fighter gameplay ever and the goofy tongue in cheek narrative?

Edit: @majek - Vanquish on PC would be awesome.

All those different armor styles take up a lot of space!

I had bought the game during a sale sometime back but never got to play it play it bc my PS4 has such small space with my other games. Bought an external hard drive and I'm really enjoying the game. Tons of single content and tons of group content.

Spark The Electric Jester

Guy who created some great past fan-made Sonic games has released his first original game on Steam and it's pretty amazing. Pretty much the speed of classic Sonic games, the moveset of Kirby and the weaponization of Mega man.

I think it's much better than Freedom Planet.

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

And incredibly cringey storytelling and characters and character design, but...you know, we all have our guilty pleasures. :p

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

(note that this is a proper review, not just one of his casual "let me make as many jokes as possible even if I misrepresent the game for the purpose of one" videos a la his Mass Effect: Andromeda video)

Sounds disappointing. :(

A friend of mine just ranted to me of all of Yooka Laylee's problems lol Not sure if it's that bad but he made it sound like it's the most horrible game to release this year.

One Dog Story is coming out soon (2 weeks). It's a platformer/arpg. I expect it to be pretty good, the trailer sold me on it.

Apparently, even my AMD Radeon 7770 HD can run Bayonetta at 1080p 60fps. Time to buy that extra gamepad I have been planning to buy for the PC. Also, wow...more ports like this, please?!

On the subject of Ice-Pick Lodge games, a Pathologic remake demo is available now, though be warned that it leaves something to be desired in terms of optimisation:

The original Pathologic is about the only Ice-Pick Lodge game I haven't played, due to what I read about it having a disastrous translation job and being even more kick-in-the-balls hard than the Void. I do however see some similarities to Sunless Sea in themes and atmosphere.

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

Of course in a game with black tentacle monsters the protagonist must be Asian.

Preferably a female Asian school girl.

Heh. Some years back I played City o Heroes. I took  part in one of the big raids against the Alien invaders,

So,  you have about 50 heroes on top of a crashed spaceship, mass battle. For some reason, about half the players all had the  power that produced shadowy tentacles that grappled and struck the enemy.

I briefly yelled out "Aliens and Tentacles Oh My! Where's the Japanese schoolgirl?"

Which someone snapped a reply "Give me a sec, that's one of my other costume designs." and then promptly switched to that costume mid battle.
