Random video game news... RNG says "Nope"

14 years ago, almost to the day, Microsoft revealed Project Natal, which we would later know as Kinect. This was followed by some of the most hilariously cringe presentations:

But what product announcement would be complete without a bunch of lies from Peter Molyneux?

Soon, we were treated to a metric ****ton of absolutely awful games.

Including destroying a once beloved game series.

Microsoft even had the tenacity to try to force Kinect adoption with the Xbox One.

Predictably, it did not go over well. Mercifully, in March 2014 they released a cheaper Xbox One sans Kinect and not long after that the forced Kinect integration ruining otherwise perfectly fine games was phased out and Microsoft stopped mentioning the Kinect. In January of 2018 the Kinect was completely discontinued, though it had been effectively dead for years at that point.

Microsoft Kinect - Never Forget.

Fun fact, the kinect is still sold for certain industries since the tracking tech is actually pretty good. It's just not good for consumers.

Mamie and others  let me know what you think if you play STASIS 2, the feedback seems positive so far from Codex at least

I haven't followed Stasis 2, but I was a backer of the original Stasis. Very interesting game 😎

Stasis and Cayne were pretty brutal horrors and IMHO good point and click adventures with sound puzzles. I expect the same from Stasis 2. Unfortunately due to big backlog, I am not planning to buy it in the near future 🙁

2 1/2 hours. tl;dr? ;(

I didn't finish it either yet. That said as I am interesting in the situation it's been interesting so far. The first half an hour has been explaining history of the shareholder situation of the company who is who, and what are the exact accusations.

I mean it is not even remotely close to the longest video on youtube that I watched 😅

edit. The video contains interviews with key figures and employees at ZAUM, which at least provides various perspectives on the issues.

This pains me even more, because every once in a while people are complaining about my project costing 5 bucks. Then I see stuff like this for $20+ that is nothing more than a simple cosmetic item and people seriously buy this garbage without thinking.

I'm always surprised when people complain about the pricing of indie games. They are usually less than $30, and you can guarantee indie developers are pouring their blood, sweat and tears into those projects with almost no compensation up front. Your $30 doesn't go as far as you think.

But yeah, DLC like this is silly.
