  1. Hmmm, looking at your screenshots, no auto-pause due to non-existant creature. Is your auto-pause for that disabled, or did they fix atleast that part?
  2. Don't recall much anymore about DA:O, but it's combat was very sucky, and a lot of HP Bloat to make opponents 'challenging' all around. I would have been ashamed of OE if they couldn't beat that low a standard. You're basing your experience on what others tell you? Yeah, then I can see how you get dissapointed. If I based my opinion on games based on their Steam forums threads I gave up PC gaming decades ago. Fortunately I have the power of making up my own mind, and know there's exaggeration abound when people get issues, they just *love* to blow it to gigantic proportions. See many forumusers here who see, say, a typo and go all "OE is the buggiest of all. Massive 4million and not TOR 200m content. What the hell, what. the. hell?" And me here just shrugging at *their* stupidity. The funniest hing being... IMO the *worst* of PoE is these recent additions. Enchanting ruined the loot, anyone tells you that. Crafting has been a waste of resources, as any modern RPG. Figures, eh?
  3. Heck no it should not. If you can choose between 'big city' and VO... which would you pick? I slap you if you picked the second btw. And yeah, the VO going on without the description lines inbetween which you had no time to read since VO wouldn't pause was... very new. And not something I would want doing again.
  4. @Hoon: * It gets funnier if you know "Kip" is Chicken in Dutch * Looks like you picked up one of the new companions... Really want to replace D:OS once the 'Big Rebalance Patch' hits... * If you run into me... please don't kill me
  5. Do remember a LOT of older threads have people playing with stacking issues without them even knowing them sometimes... having +5 Might while you should +2 mages a giant difference obviously. That's why I sometimes take some things with a grain of salt, can't really tell who talks about actual 'fair' playthroughs or who just talk with the OP-experience in mind :/
  6. Likeminded here, above post could have been made by me. Just remember my Witcher II game, played before any patches, and kinda hated it so didn't play with the EE. Might have had more fun with it (then again, they hugely nerfed the difficulty, so I did it hard-core YAH! Also, it sucked). But that first run just left such a tainted taste... who knows, maybe I would have liked the current version :/
  7. I dunno... when I played the game, a shrine to Eothas WAS there, just inactive since... obviously, he's been murdered. Why do people still doubt that in this thread since the first 12 times people mentioned this ingame I went "OKAY I KNOW!" but they still had to mention it 30 times afterwards. And then I come on these forums and people don't know it... seriously, are we playing the same game that drones this into your skull? (and yes, he is dead, the other gods confirmed it too, all the game confirms it).
  8. Hard? Wait, I can't do that... only Easy? Since I don't want time limits... You know where you can put your game? Where the sun don't shine. Yeah, definitely not a 'sollution', only making more and more problems where there were none :/
  9. Yup, I stopped playing... ... ... ...After completing the game in 90 hours.
  10. As above said. Also, not sure Twin Elms rep is used infact... it even has like 5 sub-reputations (more than Defiance Bay) which all seem to have 0 actual use ingame rather than just clogging your stats screen... :/
  11. Just to force you to visit the keep for the money and items generated by your structures and stronghold quests. Probably would have been better to let that go straight to stash, yeah, but I'm sure some people would complain or report bugs about items suddenly appearing for them and they have no clue why...
  12. On the other side; this also counts for confused opponents, getting attacked and possibly killed by their teammates
  13. *cough* http://www.pcgamer.com/pillars-of-eternity-diary-playing-as-a-party-of-bears/
  14. There is no difference... Different paths may give out different slices of the entire pie along the road, while some dump all upon you straight away - but the end reward comulative is always the same (Also shown as quest experience upon finishing the quest in your log).
  15. This is NOT a gamebreaking issue. Murdering the entire upper level (as I did) still allows you to finish the game. Issue? YES Game-breaking issue? NO Get your facts straight, especially when having the audacity to complain to OE about the many 'gamebreaking issues'... *shrug* EDIT: Also *gosh* why would this take longer than a text-change? I can fix 10.000 text-issues in TSLRCM in the time it takes for a single other bug... it's not different here. And everyone can understand why (bar you apparently).
  16. I thought this was just specific for her, intended, but starting noticing it later on with other females too (most probably voiced by the same actress). Would definitely be niced if fixed for all of them, and hear how GM was intended to sound, not slithering...
  17. Putting a blanket 25% ontop of it doesn't help if the problem is bounties. If they provide 50% of your XP (they do), then just ramming up XP is going to force these upon you, still being the sore over XP-giving thumb. I say rather than raising XP required to scale with too-OP bounties, nerf the bounty XP (and nuke trap/lockpick XP ofcourse). Then we can see if an increase is needed, probably it wont be. Fix the bug, not balance the game around the bug. Also, I don't disagree with exploration XP. Exploring is a good goal. I also don't mind keeping bestiary now, if only to appease the rabid kill-XP crowd (I kid ) at this point. Exploring, fighting, questions... it all should be there in a goal-oriented experience. However arbitrary adding XP to one of several skills (the best one too *facepalm*) is beyond stupid. The goal should matter, however you get there. If the however becomes the rewarded part though, then you're doing goal-oriented XP wrong...
  18. Hmmm, pretty easy to get qualified a troll here I see... all I need is a different opinion! Gets really easy if that's the premises to declare a troll. And no, I was not aware named unique items had such a failsave system. Personally I don't see why that would need to be included either, but that's just me...
  19. I'm not sure people here understand how souls work? You can't just summon back a destroyed soul by randomly throwing other people's souls at it. Grumpy Dwarf made it pretty clear the Godhammer wasn't designed just to kill the person, but also the soul...
  20. In other news; gamers got bored of knowing all loot in the BG's by heard, devs try to prevent that for PoE; gamers massively complain.
  21. *looks at his 90 hour playtime* Do tell me what modern RPG tops that... heck, makes it 'short' in comparrison.
  22. I would have dropped the infinite inventory, but having that and no gold limit meant riches far beyond BG2's... castle's upgrade costs where puny, and then they further dropped them in the first patch. You're never meant to pawn off 250k of items to the grocery lady. "Bad gameplay?" More like necessary offset for the inventory, now solely lacking. But I've already made a whole thread about this and all... The "fix" would be to not have vendor gold reset on mapload, obviously.
  23. Can't say I noticed 1.0.4 loading faster, loaded savegame same size too. Though maybe you needed to re-save for the size-drop, didn't actually do that to check, don't want to boot the game now just for that. Atleast I got the Stronghold achiev
  24. Then there's also no guarantee that your "awesome loot spot" will be not awesome next game. Except for some reason you take that as granted, but count the opposite of 'can't happen' Again; you seem to make problems that aren't there?
