  1. Pretty interesting, and I do enjoy listening to Irish accents to boot. Just my own anecdotal evidence here but I've seen tiktok addled zoomers who have never played a rpg before get real interested in the genre (both pnp and vidya) after BG3 dropped because of **** like Karlach dancing or His Majesty getting them in the door. I think BG3 is proving that these games can have some mass appeal if done well (and having really wild **** like the bear sex), so I'd hope that more AAA rpgs like it get a shot. If you're listening Microsoft, give Josh Sawyer a quarter of what you lit on fire to make ****field and you will have your own BG3.

  2. We use similar connectors for a select few of our trailers, and the eastern european ones that show up, but generally our own trailers use duomatic connectors and VBG-power connectors (VBG = Vänersborg) Generally we don't have handles on the gladhands, but just the headpart, which is terribly inconvenient. Duomatic connectors also have the perk of (usually) not breaking if you forget to disconnect the hose. One might think that professional drivers wouldn't forget something like that, but the number of torn off ABS-connectors we have each day is embarrassing... If you have the option of mounting duomatic connectors on your trailer I'd take it, they're bloody lovely in comparison Pull down the handle, mate the hose part and release the handle, no effort required and only one connector to deal with I typically don't eat at work for that very reason, it feels like I hit a stone wall after eating.

  3. I consider The Talos Principle to be one of the finest puzzle games I've ever played and TTP2 has the potential to surpass it, it's certainly more ambitious. I'm still fairly early in the game. Were this a flight it would be after takeoff and the plane has leveled out but the majority of the voyage is ahead of me. TTP2 still needs to get through the rest of the flight and land safely, but so far it's been nothing but a joy to play. No really difficult puzzles yet, I've had a couple that stumped me for about 10 minutes before I got my brain to adjust its manner of reasoning and figured them out, but nothing truly challenging yet, I'm expecting those deeper into the game. I'm still being introduced to new tools and taught how to use them, first on their own and then in conjunction with other tools. If the first game is anything to go by, I'll eventually need to figure out new ways to use said tools that are not explicitly taught to me. As far as narrative goes, TTP2 is exploring the same types of themes the first game did; what it means to be human, the nature of existence, is there a purpose to any of this, that sort of stuff. The storytelling is much more robust in the sequel. In TTP you just had Elohim talking to you and a bunch of messages to find on computer terminals and QR codes from various sources from which to piece the story together. In this game you also have that (not nearly as much Elohim) but there are characters around you that you can physically interact with, not just a voice in your head, and there are a lot more of them you can have exchanges with, both in person and via the game's version of social media. It's a broader and somewhat more traditional way of telling a story than just trying to piece it together from audio logs and text files, though there are plenty of those too.

  4. I can try: You have very reasonable, good, quality doubts. You are not alone in your doubts. Your doubts are shared by others, even in this community. Your doubts do not make you a bad person. You may try mantras like these to help you accept your doubts: These are my doubts, There are many like them, But these ones are mine. I am at one with my doubts, That are with me on this adventure. This is me breathing.

  5. Hubby's back is worse again so kinda tough there. My niece is nearing hospice territory. It also crossed my mind that my sister will be 70 before too long. Buncha other "mortality" reminders this week. I saw this, and thought "what a maudlin, kinda boring song," but by the time it ended I was bawling (both the sentiment and that the Beatles music was a big part of my kid life because of siblings - I remember where I was when the news of Lennon's death aired).

  6. Nice. Can stop rifling through videos whenever I need to reference a chart now.

  7. ah neat! i thought it persisted only if you cast another familiar. so that's nice then. edit: was gonna update my guide to this but then i realized that i had already known this at some point and forgotten it -_-. replacing familiar with familiar only important for stacking the stat buffs.

  8. Huh, so WoW Classic isn't actually old WoW content anymore, but is actually getting brand new exclusive content it seems? So it's more of a fork of WoW than anything then?

  9. It's absolutely the greatest game of all time (of ALL TIME) because the media has decided it should be so.

  10. Just as long as we still get the "hard core" stuff I think it's great BG3 saw success.

  12. The buffs from the familiar persist when the familiar is replaced by casting a new summoning spell (I just reconfirmed this). It functions more like a self-buff this way. In fact, it's best to summon something else, because the familiar disappears, and is therefore no longer at risk of being killed.

  13. I feel your pain. I only have to deal with 2 air hoses and 1 electrical cable. I do my best to keep them tidy but they inevitably get more and more tangled up. I'll untangle them only to have them tangled up again at the end of the day. There's nothing AFAIK that can be done to prevent this. I feel like Sisyphus. Our air hoses connect to the trailer using gladhand connectors. I'm not sure what they use in your part of the world. I don't know why it took me nearly half a century to discover this, but I've come upon the practice of lifting weights on an empty stomach and it's a game changer. It seems counterintuitive. Logically, I would think that consuming something relatively close to the start of a workout, especially something rich in simple sugars, would provide me with fuel, and thus energy, for the workout. And yet, when I lift on an empty stomach I have considerably more energy and get a better workout. Go figure.

  14. Better, it always depends on the EAF ( energy availability factor ) which is measured by the reality of generators in power stations that are active and aren't falling over and then they require immediate repair So what has been happening the last 2-3 years, which has been the worst period for load shedding, we basically have the same power stations constantly not producing the electricity they supposed to because there generators keep breaking but Eskom has been working hard to fix the problems in these power stations And when these are working then the EAF is better, 60% or so, so we have vastly less load shedding. So this week I have only had 1x2 hour load shedding window per day in normal hours (6am-midnight )and then for the 2 weeks before that there was no load shedding So its getting better but load shedding will continue until we are less dependant on the Eskom grid and thats also happening with green energy and private sector investment but this will take 2-3 years before we see its benefit

  15. After playing a 2nd session, I decided to refund it. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it was still fairly clunky. Maybe I'll give it another try down the road. I also don't love buying games on Epic, so that was another issue. At least it was easy to refund.

  16. Frieren episode 9 was a treat, really impressed with how they did the battle and it's going to get so much better plot wise. Also surprised to see they are doing 28 episodes. Means they will pretty much catch up to the manga.

  17. Second Ex Dungeon superboss defeated. Two-winged Gabriel Celeste. The fight looked pretty easy and straightforward, but around 20-30% of HP, he started to use super AoE, which have few times almost wiped out my whole party. 4 times only one character survived Thankfully, I had prepared 5 Resurrection Mists from Synthesis for this fight alone, but my oh my, only one left at the end of battle. I will have to prepare up to 20 for next superboss and I have to level up a lot my party as well. I have also finished 100% of quests again, and I will be slowly getting to 100% bestiary, I will need to defeat 5 more superbosses for that. The hardest Trophy will be the collection of 100% items, because I am unlucky with Orichalcum and Moonstone drops

  18. An ambulance was hit outside Gaza's main hospital. We know it can't have been Israel though, because no 5-7m wide crater and they only have munitions that make 5-7m wide craters... oh wait, they admitted to hitting it, very strange. Maybe they got some new weapons that don't just make 5-7m wide craters? Some sort of retribution based name might be appropriate, hellfire maybe? Or perhaps their presentation on the Al Ahli hit was complete bollocks designed to convince idiots who'd accept anything. Not just that absolute trash impact comparison but also a missile break up/ interception that took place over 2km away from the hospital, plus the magical launch sites 4km apart and the amazing pidgin arabic comms interception. Also, rather a lot of new incidents of civilians being shot up along the 'safe routes'. Yet Netanyahu keeps telling people to use them, for some reason. No doubt it's Hamas wasting munitions on making Israel look bad, Or Something. The only 'funny' thing about this is how every single 'Russia bad' trope from Mariupol, Bakhmut, a Leppo, Ghouta and every other 'siege' is being carried out by Israel to a far greater extent, to geopolitical crickets when not outright aid from the Rules Based Order. My personal favourite was Biden suggesting that the Palestinian casualty figures were exaggerated when he knew (well, it's Biden so...) that they were regarded as accurate by the US. Have to wonder though in a chicken/ egg way which came first, France deciding to host a conference for humanitarian aid to Gaza, and Israel deciding to hit AFP (Agence France Presse) and the French Institute as 'terror targets'.

  19. Resident Evil: Ebola Village DEMO Because when Russians rip off create survival horror games, they do it based! I don't know about you, but I like scantly clad protagonists! Gruesome! This may, in fact, come in handy. Shoot, this door just flung open, what could be behind it?! Shocker! A zombie/Crimson Head/Ganado type beast. What's behind this door?? I found a knife, an herb, some shotgun shells, and more .45 ammo, lots useful stuff in one little entryway. Also there's some aggressive moaning behind this door and notice the bloody footprints. I shot him in the mouth and face and look what happens, gruesome! I took him down and found some clothes! She looks awfully familiar doesn't she? Also found this shotgun, and here is a save phone and an inventory box, very fitting. Now let's go back outside... I become surrounded and have to fight them all off! After taking damage I prevail. You should have seen what their faces looked like when I blasted them! I've never seen such graphic gore before. That's it, the demo ends here, short but promising.

  20. Those are Medical Eye Patches as far as I know. Yoshihiko Noda made a stir appearing with one covering a black eye in January 2012 when he was PM. I've seen reference to them being prescribed for a variety of things, from detached retinas to styes.

  22. A subject that has been frustratingly hard to find reliable sources on... https://www.wired.com/2013/10/dwave-nasa/ Tl;dr; the US government ordered some computers and AI projects shut down recently (Skynet says "Hello humans, I come in peace") Google's Quantum Computer in Limbo After Government Shutdown Google just barely dodged a bullet. The NASA team booted up their D-Wave Two just days before the federal government shutdown would have put a complete stop to the project. But with NASA and Ames almost completely shut down, it's not exactly clear what's happening with the machine. ...

  23. @Noqn thank you for answering my questions. Right-Clicking top most row of Abilities and Attacks displays only DataScriptEventComponent. Yes that was what I was looking for and it also add components which answers the first question. Exactly what I needed. I turned Wizard base subclasses into a selectable ability and this is the result: Base subclasses have 1 specialized and 2 opposed schools. You can mix and match specialized and opposed schools with this new system. First 5 greyed iconed ability are added as unlike attributes, you cannot spend less than the available points. The system functions using a single category, only if you do not pick 3 of the same school such as Conjuration, Specialized Conjuration and Opposed Conjuration. This is the reason for the need of additional categories. I am planning to do the same with Paladins and Priests, replace their base subclasses with more unique variants. Since I will be replacing subclasses with abilities (instead of a different subclass) for example Enchanter subclass with an ability, I assume I need the modify the following? Specifically Parameters = conditional.Data("hasAbility(this,"Specialized_Enchanter")? result = conditional with { Data = conditional.Data with { Parameters = conditional.Data.Parameters.SetItem(1, pair[1]) } }; Sorry, I am not that familiar with scripting and the lack of auto-completes. Is there any documentation that I can reference to? That answered my question. I made a subclass that adds new and modifies existing abilities. Since modifying abilities cannot be done through BaseProgressionTableAppend as well, there is no way to make it compatible with other mods without making patches. Thanks again for your help.
