It's not just Team Red. I also never miss an opportunity to kill @Hurlshot's buzz, for instance. Speaking of which, Starfield would have been a decent launch title for FSR 3, that game really could do with some better upscaling and plenty of older builds out there that would really benefit from frame generation fluid motion frames. On the other hand, well, I can't fault AMD for not trusting Bethesda with some new tech that needs a good launch. In Radeon related news, Scott Herkelman quit.2 points

AMD's marketing is genius. FSR3 finally launches with massive delays, and the launch titles are... *drumroll* Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum.2 points

A day for final family reunions in temples. First I took Shadowheart to meet the Sharrans and found a familiar face, and then my Bard met his dad and....sister/niece/cousin in an underground area. I'm pretty sure there's only a handful of things left It's Halsin sexually harassing you.2 points

Back to camp, I had the first uneventful night ever, unless you count the tangled vines that appeared where I slept. I didn’t notice this before. Must be a Druid thing. Or my character is smarter than I thought and knows that people like to sneak in. The lack of visitors was probably because of how crowded the place is. Not to mention that Isobel’s partner is there now and even I am scared of her. Perhaps some of the uninvited guests will stop coming to the place now. I avoided talking to Halsin since he seems to be in love with me and I don’t need another horny companion pressing for sex. At least Jaheira is not into romance and Isobel and her partner seem to be content with each other. Oh, and Volo has already tried to do his procedure on me at least half a dozen times.2 points

An approach that worked very well for me the last 30 years Get the second best on the market and use it until it's obviously obsolete. It gives me a number of "golden years" where it's close to state of the art at half the price of state of the art. Also, except my Alienware laptop, I've built every PC myself, cherry picking what parts I wanted.2 points

Replaying X-Wing. Having my displays break due to damage, while immersive and suitably punishing for getting shot up, is annoying. Also, maybe I need a better joystick, utterly awful fine control with my current one, wonder if it's just a DOSBOX thing with a USB stick, but given it's the el cheapo Logitech one might not be2 points

"Average Betty" - although perhaps I should rename it again to "Metal Mule" I don't like the blue/orange color scheme but take it to the right planet and it'll look better. She's a good ship, but occasionally likes to show off a personality quirk or two. Apparently other planets had their version of dinosaurs, that didn't go extinct.2 points

Our joke of a chancellor had a "hilarious" let them eat cake moment in the form of saying that he does not understand how a family cannot give their children a hot meal when a burger at McDonald's is only 1.4€. The difference being, of course, that he actually said that and there's proof in form of a video. Well, I guess he's also unlikely to be beheaded, but one can always dream, right?1 point

I got some gorilla arms, wouldn't exactly call 'em preem, but I'm just starting out. I don't yet have the reflexes for dash, so for now I'm using regular ol' sprint with wrecking ball for damage mitigation while I charge right into punks. When I get low on health I activate berserk and I have 8 seconds of essentially invulnerability and unlimited stamina with which to turn skulls into fine chunks. It's rather basic, but it will do for now. I could have bought more chrome but I wanted to settle my debt to Vik ASAP. There's really nothing to gain from it and 21K eddies to lose, but I'm a man of my word.1 point

TESIII: Morrowind. Decided to check out Solstheim after all, then, after resolving the quest I came there with, returned to Pelagiad. And the memories of the modded experience came back. Also, the density of the combat encounters felt (not "was") somehow higher than on Vvardenfell. Unavowed. The MC needed at least 1 more pixel per eye.1 point

How NMS suddenly makes you want something you didn't originally want. Or: "I have got to get me one of these!" Or: "HEY, where'd you get yur pilots license?? I'm walkin' here!" Some planets defy gravity. I wonder if it would be "safe" to make a base on one of these floating rocks. They're like .... ant-squids? If you can tame one, do you need a giant aquarium?1 point

I figured it out with the help of the guide visiting the areas with the wandering souls from the guide. It turns out why I couldn't find the third soul is that it was right next to the basin you tip to give access to the fourth soul. They were stacked right on top of each other and I didn't notice previously!1 point

Base on what I've been spoiled on and seen, I think that we need more evil party members more than that.....which would be pretty cool though. Without spoiling anything much, evil loses out on two of the origin party members and three of the extras, while only gaining a Drow dommy mommy Paladin. I don't think it needs to be 1 to 1 but it sucks that the roster for the evil gang is just a bit more than half of what the heroes get. Give us an evil Sorcerer and a murder Monk Larian. I have never used hirelings in a party-based crpg unless it's forced. Not going to knock it, but it just isn't my thing.1 point

Hm definitely my stick then. Shame I didn't hang on to my older Wingman Extreme, only thing broken there was the fire button as opposed to one of the axes like I normally do. Glad I still remember the control scheme from a 30 year old game, good use of brain space1 point

She is a paladin and a very passionate one. I would have liked to have both, the paladin and the cleric, in the party. Of course, the hirelings were fine, but they could not fly or righteously stomp the evil-doers. If Halsin does not have an exclamation mark above his head, he is not looking for sex at the moment. I don't think that he has anything else to do in Act 3, but might be mistaken.1 point

Look on the bright side, if a freak accident during installation happens with AMD's drivers, it's completely bricking Windows, not just messing up the display output. Like I said, time to get an Intel GPU. Edit: Needless to say, if that issue keeps happening on several computers someone in your immediate family decided you're responsible for, then be my guest and swear off nVidia for the rest of your life.1 point

Hm, you don't? Prayer Against Imprisonment helps against Adragans. You mentioned problems with being "stunned", but they will mostly petrify you, which is a very nasty affliction: -100 Dexterity -40 Deflection -40 Reflex ×2 Damage taken Prayer against Fear helps against all Dragons' auras - they terrify every 3 secs: -20 accuracy -4 DEX -4 RES Not a Parayer, but Scroll of Defense gives everybody (including figurines and Ogres etc.) +20 to all defense which can make all the difference. Like @Chaospreadalready suggested: what you can do besides using those scrolls is to use stuff like Spirit Spiral, Munacra Arret and Ring of ChHanging Heart to charm or dominate the dragon asap (there's only one of the bog dragons that's immune to mind control) which can buy you a lot of time in the beginning. BUT it's rel. hard to hit if you don't have a lot of accuracy support (a party of 6 chanters usually hasn't). But a Scroll of Valor (+15 ACC) will help. Preservation only helps vs. stunned and prone - but if you encounter these then I would stack two sources of Preservation: for example Ilfan Byrngar's Solace + Blaidh Golan (also suggested by @Chaospread). This will give one character +100 to all defenses when stunned or prone - which can be given to a character who is most likely to get stunned and make him invulnerable for the time he or she is down or stunned. If you excpet a lot of stunning then this can tuen one char into the perfect "bait" tank. He will be very sturdy if stunned and will distract enemies from the rest of the party. A scroll of confusion can mess up a horde of dragon ads pretty badly - and also buy you a lot of time and take away attention from you and your allies. That will not guarantee a win, but it surely wouldn't hurt to use them. PS: I don't recall perfectly, but it may be the Aila Braccia reflects petrify attacks back to the Adragans. They are immune, but what it does is to turn all grazes to misses which improves survivability against adragans and other enemies who throw ranged single target attacks on you. Maybe worth testing beforehand in a non-ToI encounter.1 point

Hm, never had a problem with this. Are you sure you have visited all places with wandering souls? Maybe try some bounding boots and check if you really have been to all places of the map(s). With bounding boots you can shortcut (aka jump) to map areas - where you otherwise would need to solve a puzzle to unlock the way.1 point

I do remember her, she created videos like the new McDonalds franchises in Russia and she went to that Russian mall. Thanks for sharing and if you come across videos like this please tag me because I appreciate it and I was wondering what happened to her. Im glad she is alright and living in Georgia I watched the whole video and I enjoyed it. I mentioned this to @xzar_monty but this type of citizen journalism I think provides more insight and reality into life on the ground in certain countries than what massive international media houses can often capture. She is similar to Daniil Orain And she is obviously young but very well meaning and believes in what she says. A couple of takeaways for me a general interesting video of Montenegro and the nuances in the Slavic language and how these countries are different to Russia, like what times shops close its so nice to see people who are not influenced by US culture wars garbage and have real principles that matter to her like the lack of media freedom in Russia and what that means. She uses words like " safe space " which in most Western countries is a meme and cringe but in her case it matters because she knows what real denial of freedom is. So " safe space " is something significant, its not some Canadian or US university attention seeking exercise I loved how a free media matters to her and other journalists, mostly from Russia, she interviewed. Most of us take for granted a free media and we tend just to criticize the media for being biased but there are many people who absolutely consider the role of journalists to be critical to a healthy society and she is one of them. I also like how she mentioned feminism And then I laughed how cute she is where she said " look at this nice graffiti " ( I detest street art that defaces any historical building or landmark like a bridge ) ' But great video and Im glad she is still alive and following her principles1 point

@BruceVC might remember this young lady.... I used to follow her blog, describing life in the far east of Russia before the war. War happened and she decided that Moscow sucks and left Russia to settle in Georgia (the country, not the US state). I was curious what she has been up to the last year..1 point

Hello! Single weapon is only good in the early game. All other styles are superior (in general) in the late game. It is better against lower-level vessels at least. In the late game a (or two) fully enchanted and "durganized" weapon is usually the best "dps" choice compared to soulbound weapons or summoned ones. Mostly due to the speed advantage of durgan steel. The best alpha strike weapon for Paladin's FoD attacks may still be the arquebus - or maybe two fully enchanted sabres against lower armored enemies. Imo the best weapon for a Paladin (in a party) is a (set of) marking weapon(s) such as Pliambo per Casitàs, Cladhaliath & Shame or Glory or Blade of the Endless Paths and Spectacular Spetum as backup. In combination with Coordinated Attacks you can make your party's fights a lot easier. If you can manage ti dual-wield Cldahaliath with Marking and Shame or Glory that would be the ultimate marking setup. If you would also be a Darcozzi Paladin that would be the cherry on top. You could boost Edér's accuracy by 45 points... With something like Blade of the Endless Paths still 35 points. Better than single wielding Steadfast I'd say. Yes, shield will hit first, then main weapon. For Full Attacks a bashing shield is better than a normal shield. For auto-attacks it's actually worse because dual-wielding speed does not apply to bashing shields and the base damage of bashes is lower than that of your main weapon, lowering your dps overall compared o using a normal shield (because your auto attacks will alternate between bash and main weapon attack insead of main weapon attack only). I'd just save the game and try it out for some time.1 point

updating my nvidia gpu driver caused my computer to kill itself during the update, i lost all video output and nothing i could do would restore it (although I was able to confirm that my system was actually still running because I could start music with a hotkey press and hear the generic windows error sounds by just smashing buttons); tried to restart, tried to go into safe mode, but even on bootup during just the motherboard manufacturer logo, my screens were totally blank had to put my system drive into another computer and delete my nvidia drivers from there in order to restore functionality of one of my monitors, because literally nothing else i did would work...i'm now sitting here wondering if i roll the dice by trying to install the latest driver again is this the part where i vehemently swear off all nvidia products for the rest of my life? regardless, would not recommend the latest nvidia gpu driver, I'd give it a 4/10 at best, would really like to see a return to form for the inevitable sequels, but i'm not too optimstic about it at this point1 point

That reminds me when of when I played a retro-ish indie game, there was inexplicably no FPS limit on the pause menu, so anytime I paused my FPS would go up to (I believe) >10,000 and my GPU would instantly reach max temp while very audibly screaming out in mortal agony. I gave them a bad review on Steam that specifically called out that issue for it and they fixed it a week later, and since I did like the game, I changed my review to a positive one. The system works.1 point

Unavowed. Finished the game. It was a decent point-and-click adventure with some flexibility regarding the puzzles - there are several companions to take on missions and they provide different options for the solutions. Also, there are some options for the character creation and the quest outcomes. Got stuck once somewhere close to the end (tried to break a bottle against a table, which was not the intended path). Tried to continue with Batbarian. Died repeatedly. I definitely don't want to replay it from the start, but I am unsure how to continue. Should check all open paths, I guess, considering that it is a Metroidvania.1 point

Trying to wear armors with preservation and break out (Blaidh Golan and Pike's Pride) and use items and scrolls to charme, dominate and/or paralyze them. For Alpine Dragon you can stay in the right side of cave, surronded by trash mob so the breath can't reach you while the ogres do their job.1 point
