  1. That is absolute bull**** Russian propaganda. Russian language was never penalized. Zelenskyi is Russian speaking Ukrainian, he started to speak Ukrainian only after he has become Ukrainian president. I have never met a single Russian speaking Ukrainian, which has in any way prohibited to speak Russian language... I had also taken care of two Russian speaking Ukrainian teenagers, who started to speak Ukrainian only after the start of the war, and up until this day they speak more often Russian than Ukrainian, I have Ukrainian colleagues from Kharkiv, who was also never forced to speak Ukrainian. It might be probably surprise to you, but neither of them are now speaking how the evil West is at fault for all the **** happening in their country, as you do... Hell even my country has more strict laws for speaking Hungarian/Polish/Ukrainian at the municipality or state level than Ukraine has about Russian language... Banning any church, which is openly collaborating with a country which is occupying you, is reasonably enough. EDIT: The Russian speaking teenage girl I was taking care of with my wife, has run away from Doneck Oblast. Her city was no bombarded at the time, but guess what. All of her Russian speaking family, including pro-soviet grandparents evacuated to Krivyi Rih. To the "evil" Ukraine, which "oppressed" them their whole life... They did not think for a second, that they would ever voluntarily escape to Russia...

  3. Ah yes, both sides ignored it and so everyone in the dirt, absolutely, yes. Fact that one of the "sides" just ripped a chunk of land from another and wages war in another corner of your country does mean nothing, because we must be clinically unbiased whenever russia is involved, right? Cause bias is not infinite resource, see, gotta save it for them evil colonialist Western countries and their dastardly allies like Israel, Turkey and Arabs. Russia? Can do no wrong We must be unbiased. Also, of course Zelensky can get away with awful lot because he is western backed and totally not because his country is in the state of emergency due to its neighbour waging eradication war (have you listened to their propaganda lately, by the way? All the "denazification" bull**** is long gone, now its surprisingly candid "Ukraine is not a real country and should not exist") against you.

  4. In hindsight, having a company name their motherboard the "LANparty" seems so absurd now, but that's what DFI were doing not much more than a decade ago, complete with bright orange highlights.

  5. We held a monthly Lan party night at my old workplace back in Denmark. It was fun. Usually games like Delta Force (it could handle up to 32 players), Re-volt (a hilarious little RC controlled car racing game) or Unreal (the original Unreal, not to be confused with Unreal Tournament). When playing Delta Force, we would sometimes invite the IT department of the local city council to join and we would team up against each other (city council vs. my company). Delta Force had both LAN and Online Multiplayer mode and my company had the oversized servers to host it

  7. Added a String Table Query to the sidebar! It will check for matching entries in the standard, Conversation and Quest StringTables: Clicking a row under GameData StringTables will open that StringTable in a new tab. Clicking a row under Conversation/Quest StringTables will open that convo/quest in a new tab. (You can then go to the StringTable view in that tab and find the specific entry from there.)

  10. Ever since FFXV's 150ish (w/the 60GB 4k pack), the occasional game/patch download is about the only reason I ended up caring about more than 50-100mbps net speeds. Well, that and sometimes Bokishi's screenshots. In another 10-12 years all mid-to-high budget/market game downloads will be 75GB and large content patches 20-30GB, minimum. It's outta control.

  12. Last patch for Baldur's Gate3 before it's August scheduled release has dropped. It comes with a Paladin class, revamp of reaction system, which seems to allow both to enable window popus (like in Solasta) or more controlled automation (smite on crit was a thing shown). Eder was announced as Minsc (Matt Mercer is voicing Minsc, and the boy seems to be capable of anything). Ah, and level5. Finally.

  13. For folks actively running into this issue, if you have the time or the desire to check on some things for me, it is highly appreciated, but by no means required. I just have a list of things that I'm trying to get data on to see if there are any common denominators to see if we can find the issue so we can get it fixed I'll likely add some more things in an edit, but for now these are the data points that might help: Location (US or other) (Computer) System Language Web Browser Used How often is the issue currently occurring for you? (Rarely, Intermittently, Often, Always, etc) Have you had the issue in the past and it started working normally again? Are you using Editor options like Quotes, HTML, Bullet Points, links, etc when it occurs? Does this happen on multiple web browsers for you? Of course any extra information you might think is useful is always appreciated. Again, sorry for the trouble this annoying issue has been causing. I'm hoping we can get a fix soon so y'all can enjoy your time here without having to frustratingly copy paste your posts for fear of them auto deleting after starting a new line of text.

  19. If you can get hold of a good practicioner I'd recommend it, make sure to point out when they slip away from the area that you want to treat though, it takes very little for that to happen and they won't notice anything at all. The one they used on me had a 3 inch or so diameter disc that would block the view of the therapist, and they use quite alot of lube. I didn't the first time and didn't notice a tremendous difference after my first treatment, but I was quicker to point it out today and that has made a huge difference.

  22. *reads thread* ---Diablo4, no Offline at all is a big reason I may not ever look at D4 even on a rainy day. I would not call it an MMO (yet) even if it wants to add world events/battlepasses because, live-service. It's still way more Path of Exile than WoW. Although they might go full blown MMO by Diablo 4.5 after five years of patches/expansions to slowly sneak things in. >.> ---I finished D2 Hell (self found, solo) many times with (softcore) Sorceress (Static/Nova/Orb, Metor/Orb, a few other combos), Necro (summons and golems) and Assassin (trap focused) without much specific gear. You'd find a few pieces along the way usually but most item hunting/grind came afterwards just for faster boss-killing/MF'ing/lvl 99-ing. Didn't get the others past early-mid Hell, mostly because I found them dull, but I do recall the Paladin being the toughest solo even in Nightmare. In the old days. I don't know what changes any new version/re-do might have. ---never had LAN parties, just with hubby. Meaning Doom, all Borderlands, Diablo2 (so he says, I honestly don't remember, must've been only for a hot minute...), and Dungeon Keeper (IPX).

  24. Two other guys are meant to be doing the actual writing/ creative side, and their resume looks pretty decent really. I'd usually tend to give people involved in Children of Men and The Expanse a chance at least. (Why they didn't make them the showrunners who knows, since they created The Expanse for TV. And that was a show that looked like it had WoT's budget most of the time despite, well, not having that budget. Maybe they didn't want to handle the money side but still, even ignoring the creative mess Rafe Judkins made WoT look like it had a tenth the budget it actually had. If that. Surely there must be someone better than that clown?)

  31. @ComradeYellowhas a rather different definition of "a few hundred" than I do, it seems. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the eventual Zen4/RDNA3 APUs. There's been a whole bunch of handhelds recently released utilizing the 6800U APU with 8 Zen3+ cores and 12 CUs of RDNA2. They're actually quite capable by all accounts. In theory, an eventual 7800U, or whatever they wind up calling it, should be a 1080p champion.

  33. Chainsaw Man 10: The Training Arc Begins (With the Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World????) Sort of like one of those half episodes that somewhat reestablishes the show. An alcoholic appears and starts training Denji and Power by killing them repeatedly. Aki has to make another contract because the Fox Devil is mad at him. Space Dandy 1: The Legend Begins And Ends. I think this is making fun of 50's and 60's episodic sci-fi with a bunch of one-off episodes. It's great, just the sort of light-hearted stuff to go with after Narutaru, Chainsaw Man, and MADE IN HEAVEN's JoJo shenanigans. Also, it looks amazing.

  35. So a 3060 Ti vs 3060 situation then. To be clear, I absolutely do think they should never have brought back the XTX naming scheme and that the XT should have been the 7800 XT. But I do think it's no more egregious than what the industry has already been doing for years. I get the sentiment, but I think $600 (or 60%) is more than "another few hundred". On the other hand, I have seen retailers here cut the 4080 price such that it was half the MSRP difference. It was a one-day special so it's gone now, but the equivalent of $1100 for the 4080 vs $1000 for the just-launched XTX did deflate AMD's balloon somewhat there.

  38. So, like, Amazon decides to ship the controller earlier. When I ordered, I had the choice of ordering directly from Amazon, or through Marketplace, with the marketplace offer being slightly cheaper. I went for the one sold by Amazon purely because there's less hassle with their deliveries, usually. Usually. Turns out they shipped the controller from a French warehouse, and Amazon in France apparently has the good sense to use Universally Pisspoor Service (UPS for short) as their parcel delivery service of choice. Obviously I was not at home today, not expecting any deliveries, because why would I get a delivery notification (like, one that every other parcel service on the planet can send! Except perhaps for those even dumber dweebs at Globally Ludicrous Service). UPS tells me they dropped the package at one of their UPS Access Stations™ and can be picked up within the next 10 days. On the one hand, I'm not too unhappy about the controller coming two weeks earlier than anticipated, on the other hand I'm of half a mind to just let it go back and order it through Amazon Marketplace just to spite everyone involved. If I had wanted that parcel delivery hassle I could have just ordered for 2€ less. And yes, I am that spiteful over that... little money. And UPS. God, damned, motherf****** UPS, that spawn of Satan and his goat.

  39. Careful, lest we confuse the issues here. They might be related, but there's no indication that they are. One kills posts entirely, the other just until the first regular line break. The former happens to everyone every now and then, the other exclusively to people posting from Scandinavia (the one without Finland, because they're apparently fine ). edit: would perhaps be interesting if anyone affected by the line break issue could post while having their browser's dev console open to see if there's some readily apparent javascript or server error that for some reason doesn't prevent posting entirely. @Azdeus or @omgFIREBALLS or @Noqn. A short description / how-to if necessary. Seems unlikely, but who knows.
