  2. The issue started with the patch 1.0.4 release. We all play on PC using the xbox app and game pass. Every one of my group of friends were able to host the game with no issues prepatch, since the patch all of us experience stutters / micro freezes every few seconds, making the game unplayable. Sometimes the host plays fine for 1-2 minutes, then the stutters begin. Starting a new game we didn't observe any issue, so it's something related to our existing game. We tried copying the save and erasing most of the building and all the ziplines, but the stuttering didn't stop.

  3. Agree on separate trinket and glider slots, as they have two very different functions/uses, and are almost always both needed. Most inventory issues could be alleviated if they made items equiped to the Hot Pouch not take up Backpack inventory space, similar to how armor and the trinket slots function. That, and if something breaks it stays in the slot but is unusable/doesn't give perks, and not defaults back to the backpack or worse drop on the ground.

  5. Goddaughter of Putin shown more courage than half of Russian men… Exposing modern day Russian gulags. Her report inside the twitter thread. Lot of people are still pointing out, how she was/is a part of Russian propaganda machine. And in Russia, she is currently a suspect in an ongoing blackmail case. She fled Russia.

  7. I'm sure many (many, many) videos have referred to this general topic (lack of experienced writers, differences between tv writing and series formats today vs. in the past) in some fashion, since half of YouTube these days seems filled with angry "Why TV/films/games/whatever suck". I appreciated Escapist's non-ranting version.

  8. Yes the article mentions that. What I have found interesting about the whole gas potential crisis in the EU is how relatively quickly the EU was able to mitigate the Russian blackmail and obvious deliberate attempt to throttle gas to the likes of Germany and other countries using Russian gas On Codex you had these Vatniks celebrating how " EU citizens were going to freeze to death " due to lack of gas and high prices but the response from the EU has been effective and it should be recognized Its a good thing to be part of the EU, despite its problems it offers more advantages than disadvantages

  9. https://edition.cnn.com/2022/10/26/energy/europe-natural-gas-prices-plunge/index.html Putins attempt to use energy blackmail really has become an epic failure, our EU friends wont be freezing to death because of gas prices

  10. The good news is we dont need oil price caps anymore because the oil price has dropped and so has the gas price. Gas price is down to pre-war levels Ironically its the other way around, Putin was trying to use the economic leverage of throttling gas and hoping the oil price would rise exponentially. So we can happy that this energy blackmail is unlikely to work The only potential concern is OPEC+ reducing oil production in November but we dont know the impact of this because supply and demand realities will influence this

  13. I am finishing a mod that adds 7 unique ships and 2 new ship types to the game. > The two new ship types are Xebec and Heavy Galleon. They can be bought from Neketaka shipyard > Five unique ships (with unique stats) can be captured by boarding respective vessels: The Servant of Rikuhu - unique voyager - captained by Wheneha (by default spawns when you have -3 Reputation with Huana) The Terror of the Deadfire - unique xebec- captained by Arteiro (by default spawns when you have -3 Reputation with Principi) Aim'Spirente - unique heavy galleon - captained by Estulario (by default spawns when you have -3 Reputation with VTC) The Royal Leviathan - unique junk - captained by Hazanui Yaro (by default spawns when you have -3 Reputation with RDC) The Heaving Harlot - unique junk - captained by Fyrgist > Two ships can be found/looted as "ship in a bottle" item after defeating some land enemies: Ship in a bottle (Black Dhow) (unique dhow) can be looted from a specific named fampyr Ship in a bottle (Black Pearl) (unique galleon) can be found in a bookcase behind one unnamed lich > Also the mod slightly edits the stats of Fonferrus and Blade of Takowa: The main thing left to do is: add custom ship stories/descriptions. For now I have put generic ones. But if anyone feels inspiration and wants to contribute, that would be great! P.S. Few screenshots:

  14. Pets desperately need a short term ease of use improvement. Pet houses should have a pet RECALL command to get your pets to anywhere you need, or for instance, get them unstuck from wherever they were. They should also have a STAY and FOLLOW command on their interaction. Secondly, inventory issues stack up the later in the game you go. Tufts trinkets, and arrows, imo, have an ez fix to alleviate this. DEDICATED SLOTS. Arrow slot. Later on this could be improved to a quiver so we could efficiently carry multiple arrow types. But to start just a slot that you can put arrows in. Tuft slot. It SUCKS choosing between trinket and tuft. You always have use of tufts. Let's have both. Trinket slot. Which I think you could also add a CARD slot, but for starters a trinket slot would do the trick. These pet/ inventory changes would improve the game quality drastically.

  15. I am someone who has played Grounded since the very beginning, I've probably played for 300 something in game days and dealt with a lot of the good an bad of the game during development. The main thing I loved about this game is how much the combat system rewarded skill. If you're good enough with perfect blocking you can easily speed run the early game and get to the end game. I started playing again 2 weeks ago after taking a long hiatus, and have been grinding along in the end game for a while now. However the latest round of nerfs have made the games combat system feel terrible. All because of losing natural explorer during combat. Without a dodge roll or similar ability that let's you control spacing in a fight, the combat system now feels incredibly bad. I went from being able to take on several of the highest tier enemies quite easily at the same time, to being bogged down and having to heal tank through enemies instead. One single infected wolf spider, or a few black ox beatles in one area are now harder to fight than black widows or either of the actual bosses in the game. The complete loss of speed to the point of feeling like you're walking through mud is enough to make me decide to go back to other games with more rewarding feel to combat. Side note after the nerfs running the coaltana and mint mallet with fire ant armor now feels more powerful than the poison build. Which means an armor set that requires killing a few fire ants is now better than an armor set that requires killing 7+ black widows and the broodmother. Although I'm not a fan of the poison build because it doesn't fit my playstyle, that seems a bit ridiculous.

  16. After spending many hours playing the open beta, my brother and I decided to do our first 1.0 run on Whoa! difficulty. It was a challenge at first, which was great because that's what we were looking for with this playthrough. However, as we've hit end-game in the upper yard with all our gear at 7+ we've come to a disappointing realization: maxed out equipment is not enough to make combat against the "hardest" enemies a tedious slog to burn through huge hp bars. Some of the boss fights have more mechanics and thus are still quite fun (Asst. Manager and the Director spring to mind) but most are just an exercise in perfect blocking predictable attacks, chugging beefy smoothies, and watching huge hitbars slowly chip away unless you optimize your build. Throughout the playthrough, we've relied on the wiki for details on what exactly armor and weapon perks actually do because the game only provides vague descriptions and useless bars. Optimizing our damage to speed up slow encounters would have been impossible without players data mining game files. Now in the latest patch, a handful of nerfs were dealt to some of the strongest end-game builds (poison and staffs) with the clear intention of maintaining combat difficulty in the end-game. On principle that's a fine design goal; grounded isn't a power fantasy it's a survival game. However, if devs are determined to keep combat challenging, it is only fair that players be provided with the necessary knowledge to overcome those challenges within the game's UI. It's not enough to know a perk activates "occasionally," we need exact percentages in the item description. It's not enough to know an item does 10 bars of damage and has 3 bars of speed. We need actual double-digit numbers to understand a weapon's strengths and weaknesses. It's not enough to know a trait debuffs an enemy's attack, we need to know not only the numeric value of that debuff, but also its duration. It is unfair to the player base that gear is nerfed and enemies are buffed while not providing concrete numbers on the tools given to defeat those challenges. If the developers want item info and UI elements that are minimalistic and immersive, then players should feel powerful no matter what weapons they choose because it's not about the details, it's about the fantasy. But if the devs want the players to struggle to survive throughout the full duration of the game, then they owe their players specific game mechanic data so we can work towards more optimal builds. We shouldn't have to rely on data mining wikis (which are frequently out of date and thus false) to build strong strategies. That info needs to be in the game itself, lest the whole game feel like a battle with the developers instead of the backyard.

As for whats his face from SOAD, I do think I admitted I was somewhat biased given that my mom (and thus I) listened to them a lot when I was a small child, which can certainly be an influence. 21. It was pretty popular the last time someone posted the video. Well, the second one, at least, after which we talked about how much I hate System of a Down's vocalist, with @bugarup saying he unironically likes him and @Bartimaeus saying he at least doesn't hate him. As for when that actually was, I'd say "recently" which is anywhere from yesterday back to 2005. But yeah, that's pretty awesome.

  23. *snort* The version with the English subtitles has barely any comments on it, but the regular trailer is full of people complaining about political correctness ruining even films about the army now. Does everyone need to be gay these days? Why this wokeness? Why ruin everything? Yes, why indeed. Why is a biopic about a career soldier, who has hidden his homosexuality for the longest of timest, about gay soldiers? Indeed, one is left to wonder, even after the two married a while back. Nah, must be to appease the tofu-eating, Guardian-reading, woke Twitterati.

  27. I've been playing A Plague Tale: Requiem. It's pretty good. It's mainly a stealth game. I never played the first game, but I know enough about it that there's a rat plague and Amicia's little brother Hugo is the Rat King. Hopefully, eventually I'll be able to control the rats and use them to kill soldiers. I mean, I can kind of do that already by putting soldiers' torches out, but I'm hoping for rat tornadoes and such.

  28. Re: cozy games - I guess for myself it's mostly that I like games with "cozy elements". I mean, I would consider 7 Days to Die with zombies turned off or at least settings turned down or modded to be a very minimal threat to be quite "cozy", with most goals largely self-created vs. game driven, which is why I return to it periodically. And while I don't mind there being combat, I don't want to have to be razor focused or super precise all the time or in a state of constant stressed anticipation. Something very one specific "thing" focused, like "Power Wash Simulator" is probably not my bag of tea however, unless it's 99 cents. I did love the original RCT, except overall I was terrible at creating/building impressive original coasters, and using the pre-made ones became limiting/dull after a while. So more a limit/frustration of my game-engineering capability.

  30. Obsidian need to stop nerfing and buff everything else instead. They also need to stop hiding information about patch notes. Poison Build was not just nerfed by 10% it's dmg overall was down at like 70% probably, it's crazy. Also I have been getting spike lags after latest weekly update. If they keep this up Grounded WILL loose players.

  36. The nerfs aren't really necessary, this isn't a PVP game, it's a PVE game. Even if you decide to nerf, by being transparent you'll maintain trust with your players. By making all these hidden changes that aren't disclosed, you erode trust from your players and kill the joy of playing the game. Upgrade materials don't respond, the mats for making upgrade materials have such a low drop rate that farming them is a huge time investment, then you nerf items in the game that players have invested time and materials into really just screws your players. You will start losing players if there aren't any serious changes, the game still has numerous bugs yet you guys for some reason decided to focus on nerfs instead of fixing the game.

  37. in the recent updates almost every weapon that was good in endgame has been severly nerfed and i think that in a pve game like grounded there should be some end game gear that is actually really good and i think that the game should be easier in endgame when you have good gear because the difficulty is the same from start to finish and i think that this encourage people to stop playing because there is not an actual point to progress into the game

  38. I agree with the basic idea/topic. By the time you FINALLY get access to the "best" stuff, and you are at end game/upper yard critters, you need GOOD weapons that can ACTUALLY hurt these things. For example: I happen to LOVE the mosquitoe rapiers, and spend the majority of my time that I fight bugs using it, unless I have something tailored to it's weakness on me. So, when I FINALLY got access to the UPGRADED version, with the tiger mosquitoes, I, of course took the time to hunt them down just to get it. I was SO excited to get another little sliver of health regen out of it! But, not even 24 hours later, you guys NERFED it! That's SUCH crap. It was STILL taking me half a stamina bar to kill some of the easier "tough" guys, and so someone, somewhere, thought it needed an 10+ % nerf??? Why? Why? Why? So, our solution? We took the XBox offline, and haven't installed the patches since the inventory sorting one. I suggest the Devs stop nerfing ALL our best stuff, or people are going to stop playing. At least, online.
