Gedonia - I found the spot for the player house. Near a castled town. But I ran out of gold. Anyway, that's how you get a "stash" - purchase and plonk down some chests in your house, or anywhere. Backpack is decent size (3 pages) but chest stash is always handy. Can also place crafting stations and the like within that circle. I think you can build up to three-story, but ... need more gold! Forgot to mention, the game has a simple modding editor/Steam Workshop capability. Add your own caves/bosses or chests or even basic towns or quests, I think, to the map if you feel like it for some reason. So that's a bonus.3 points

I have run into the same bug Gorth had in the Midnight Isles. And, of course, that is despite checking that the patch notes where the first item is that issue being fixed... On the positive side that is the first out and out bug I've had (thought I had another, but that was just a quest with unclear instructions and not being flagged as needing to be done before the chapter end. Yes Owlcat I'll randomly chat to a generic Baphomet Cultist in a random room in the brothel to progress it despite 99.9% of generically named characters having nothing to say). Finished Chapter 4. I think I liked the idea of the Abyss a lot more than the execution, it probably sounded pretty cool written down but tended towards annoyance after an hour or so.2 points

Resource regeneration or refund by class: All: Empower (except Bloodmage) Brilliant Inspiration (different sources) His Heart Did Fill With the Light of the Dawn Barbarian Barbaric Smash (all Barbarians) - when the enemy is killed with the attack you get 2 Rage back. I'm definitely installing SkyUI because the original UI is awful and I already have a mile-long list of identical notes, bugfixes because bugs are bad, and perhaps one that makes dunce townies run away from dragons; don't really care about all that glossier hair, prettier faces and louder fart noises cosmetic stuff that makes the majority of most downloaded lists though. I like additional content, but there's not much of it save for Bruma town and Enderal, which is from what I understand a separate game rather than mod. It has a load of glowing reviews, but a good number of those come from grogs who think QoL stuff like fast travel is a) anathema, b) for nubscrub weaklings, so I have my doubts.2 points

So, uh, had the brilliant idea of "I'll just install that GOG's Skyrim real quick to see if it works and if I can play anything but a sneaky archer now". Now weekend is gone as if never happened, I'm saving for a homestead and no, I can't play anything but a sneaky archer. What do they put in those games2 points

...during chr. creation, you start with 1 pt in each attribute (re-assignable) and some extra - there are none for leveling up or (I think) on gear either. Choose wisely? Hm. So....strength? agility? I don't need any of that. Not sure what max spell summon count is yet. I have two here early on. I think it might depend on mana available/skill pts + gear Anyway, short take - Gedonia is not "deep" and its combat is clunky (if you're no agility/strength, bow seems better than melee early on by far) but I'm finding it light fun/absorbing enough. I could see getting rather absorbed with it once you get past any clunkiness.2 points

Indeed. With any weapon you can hold before Use Any Item. Thieves can use staves, therefore they can backstab with the Staff of Ram, which yes, is the weapon giving one most damage in a single backstab. Does not need a weapon you can stab with, just needs to be on the thief's weapon list. .p edit: Specifically, the weapon needs the 'usable by thieves' flag to be able to backstab, since Carsomyr is a Paladin only two handed sword, it does not work. Neither does Staff of the Magi because its use is limited to mages, even though staves can usually be used to backstab.1 point

Only chanters and ciphers generate resource points as the fight goes on. Monks can gain wounds various ways but not Mortification so take note of which abilities you take. This is one of the reasons they're so strong on higher difficulties where fights last longer. Some others that come to my mind: Barbarians have a chance of regaining a point per kill but is tier 9 ability so SC only. If Corpse-Eater you can eat a corpse, but abilities cost more and not all enemies are edible, can't say I like it. Paladin have a chance of regaining a point per kill with tier 6 ability so possible for MC or when an ally is downed at tier 9 so SC Only. Fighter have a chance of regaining a point when critically hit with tier 8 ability so SC only. If using a Tactician subclass they can trigger Brilliant inspiration to gain resource points. There's a few other ways to get Brilliant typically via casting / items.1 point

At first view, this arbalest is not really great : 3 projectiles with decreased damage/pen/accuracy (inaccurate) that can apply Distracted/Disoriented on the enemy or steadfast for allies but for 4s only. In reality, these 3 effects have their duration "stackable", each projectile can add 4s to the effect. They are auto-hit (100% chance to be applied on crit). For exemple, with 10Int, against an enemy with 10Res, with 6s to attack+reload, and every time a crit, so 12s of Disoriented for each attack, the enemy have 30s of the affliction in 4 attacks. That can be useful vs a streetfighter ally, to Distract him for an huge duration before a fight, and of course vs enemies. It is like Death of the 1000 cuts, a new cast of the spell dont adjust the duration of the DoT but add a new duration.1 point

Loving the sort button! It was a much needed feature, but now that it is a thing i can't help but wish for a 'lock' feature. Allowing us too lock our tools in specific locations in our inventory's, so that when we press the sort button our tools and weapons don't sort and stay in said spots1 point

Barbarians and Paladins have ways to regain rage/zeal. And any class can regain power source through brilliant (if applied by a Cipher or otherwise) Blood Mage (wizard kit) can regain spells at will. I forget if any other classes have native ways to do it. Probably missing something here.1 point

I did not said, I believe it, just there are reports of it, including video. I didn’t care to click on it, considered it as a clickbait . But drones are much much smaller, than planes, and drones have been before taken down with shotguns, handguns stones and other stuff all around the world. If you see such a drone going your way, and there is a risk of civilian casualties, you will do everything possible to stop it. Especially if you are policeman or soldier and have a weapon at hand…1 point

I think the gif is because @Gorth mentioned a weapon that you dont get until its too late to be useful, then I posted another example of the same issue, you dont get the silver weapon until youve already killed the greater werewolf boss (need silver weapon to damage/regens almost to full each round). Then you posted Carsomyr, which is the best 2H sword for good characters, but it was unrelated to the topic we were discussing.1 point

Gedonia - Pros (at least in my opinion) ---rather charming to explore around. Nothing special, but still charming enough. ---there's an alchemy pot for respec talent tree pts but you cannot respect attribute/chr. points. Thus you actually have to replay if you want to try multiple min/max type builds, if that's your thing. ---skill trees are totally up to you/build your own class, altho attribute points affect what you can do/how good you are, beyond just dialogue or quest options. Example, 0 INT means no crafting, 0 Agility means no Dodge mechanic for u. The layout/structure of the talent/skill trees remind me a little of Grim Dawn. A little. ---There's an option to turn off enemy respawning, which I'm using. It's nice to not have to fight/avoid anything just to go "back" long distances. I may turn it on and off periodically, dunno. ---the usual skills like alchemy, cooking, weapon/outfit crafting, ingredient collectables and nodes. ---one magic tree eventually gets Flying. I...must...have...it... Cons ---combat, especially melee, feels clunky and a little unresponsive or with little "impact" feel. It works but... ---companion/summon AI follow is glitchy at times. There's a button combo to teleport them back to you and I find I have to do it constantly to make them effective. Creep up to enemy, hit those buttons to make them appear next to you so they start a fight, then use a bow myself. Twice they've gotten totally stuck but an exit/reload fixes it. ---the horse riding is clunky, no surprise. I prefer walking but default walking is pretty slow and I don't have 10000 staminia potions yet, so the horse is useful for long treks to towns or whtaever. ---one of those games where if you explore/battle randomly, a lot, early on, you start getting rep with factions that you know nothing about or whether the rep is something you even want. I would guess it doesn't matter tons tho, outside of when you finally choose a faction. Initial summary: ----reminds me a little of a cross between Elder Scrolls and an ARPG like Grim Dawn or Torchlight, perhaps ---there's a plot but don't know much about it yet. Good light fun if you like such gameplay, probably decent replay value if you like trying different builds/options. ---for a one-man developer, not a bad game for the low price. eg, so far I like it.1 point

1200-1400 would definitely have been higher proportion wise thanks mostly to Temujin, Timur etc. There's also a cost in terms of the near 600% (!) mark up on US LNG being sold to Europe. A mark up so large that contracts with other buyers are being systematically broken because the penalties are far less than the windfall profits. Then of course there's bafflement about not getting wholesale support from those effected... The US is also, as always, leveraging its currency's status to protect its own economy while shafting everyone else's. Typical 'socialise the costs, privatise the benefits' from Yellen really; if we're all in this together that means not running everything apart from aid to Ukraine as a sole benefit to the US.1 point

I dipped back into Elden Ring after a lengthy break. I find it harder and harder to find content that I haven’t done before. Fighting same mini-bosses for the x time really looses its charm. I think I finally finished underground sections which makes me sad, as it’s been mu fave part of the game (outside actual classing boss dungeons). I fought the Astel Naturalborn of the Void, which was first new thing in a while. I am over level 100 and most of my weapons seem to be maxed out. I feel like I am running out of progression as well, and there still seems to be a lot of the game. Playing some more Cyberpunk - I need to motivate myself to keep going, it bores me. Easily worst CDPR game so far. I am shocked how little there is to it and how poorly paced missions are. I didn’t expect CDPR to have uninteresting quests - that one thing that’s been carrying their games since Witcher1. There are some interesting ideas and characters here and there so perhaps they lack couple rewrites and re-designs. Cyberpunk is euro-jank, except euro-jank tends to have something interesting and unique at its core. Cyberpunk is a generic junky title with nice looking screenshots being all it can offer. Bugs and unfinished state aside, it just lacks creativity and that can’t be patched in.1 point

Finished act 3. Galfrey’s reaction wasn’t that bad. The Hand defending me, however, pissed her off. In the end she fired me, sent me to the Abyss and had the gall to tell me: “Wish me luck as well.” Minagho is gone for good. Will she be reborn as Abyss maggots? Noticed some strange things going on, but I doubt they have any serious consequences: Woljif disappeared again, but I imagine they simply forgot to include him in the scene. Why did Ilkes (one of the Free Crusaders) cast Protection from Good? Gresilla said she wanted to go to the surface, but couldn’t and talked about a follower of Iomedae. Is that Hulrun? Wish I could see them together. Oh, and the little time I played on Unfair bugged the game. I received three “Core” achievements, for defeating the demon in Drezen, a boss in Ivory Sanctum and the water elemental in the prologue. Maybe the game assumed I had been playing on Unfair since the beginning and gave me those achievements? Since I’m on a new map, I’ll update to EE. No problem now with old dialogues being triggered again, since everything is new. I'm currently Court Poet 13/Thug 1/Oracle 1. I'll remember your tips and @majestic's when I replay the game on higher difficulties. I only tried Unfair out of curiosity, I'm back on normal now.1 point

I wanted to take some combat screen shots from Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Sadly, the newly patched in photo mode doesn't work in combat. For being an isometric, party based rpg, the small scale of figures etc. the graphics are actually pretty nice. No doubt that Ember (the elven witch in my party) is wielding a fire themed staff and Sosiel the cleric riding a boar is wielding a weapon with some side effects besides physical damage Only way later did I remember that I can switch between turn based and real time combat at any time. Maybe the photo mode works in real time Maybe Hell isn't such a bad place to go... I mean, it does seem to have its perks Edit: Using the new photo mode, you can move the camera around, hide the game UI, zoom in a lot closer and if feeling like it, add effects like frames, making it look like vintage photos or a painted canvas etc. I still need to play around with those1 point

Scorn It's pretty much Eww: The Video Game. I'm liking it so far. I probably won't post any more images or videos so as not to spoil any more gross and weird stuff further into the game. It's not scary so far, but it's most certainly disturbing. I guess that's still Halloween appropriate (?)1 point
