  1. Yeah, it looks a little weird because on Playstation 4, it only runs at 30 FPS - on Playstation 1, it runs at 60. That's probably what you're seeing...probably.

  4. Why do you keep doing that? Ill gotten gains? Rebate? I paid the bank $120,000 in interest on my home loan before I sold it. The justice department decided I deserved about $3k of that back. That's hardly me pulling off a great bank heist. Why are you trying so hard to mischaracterize this?

  5. As majestic said, it will go away in a week or two. My recommendation is to get a box of wet wipes that are for cleaning glasses, you will get very frustrated with the cleaning cloth when it gets dirty, which happens very quickly. These are the best I found:

  12. Yes, and you'll need to do that every time you get new glasses. It takes a bit, but eventually goes away, might experience some of the usual eye-strain symptoms (i.e. headaches, mostly, but also feeling a little more tired than usual), perhaps a feeling of a little imbalance.

  13. So in ten years or so yall will be pulling six figures each? That sounds like a lot, but when you factor in the brutal housing costs of California's urban areas I guess it is much less than it looks. Then yall have two kids, so there's a bunch of expenses in there. In Texas the minimum starting is a bit more than half of the starting from what you posted (3k lower than Oklahoma since that was brought up recently) and the minimum after 20 years is a bit less than 55k. That's all not very good, even with the lower housing costs in Texas (not for long!), making rent on 33k a year is going to be very tough. Man, this country seems to hate teachers.

  14. Yes, but in case of Barbaric Smash it's like with the other attack abilities which get a dmg bonus (several Rogue strikes, Fighter's Mule Kick and so on): the innate dmg bonuses of those attack abilites seem to always stack with everything.

  15. The benefit for Putin is the ability to bully and threaten neighboring states to fall in line with his will. Apart from China, the Ukraine is probably the most capable neighboring state. Once it falls, the others won't dare to mount an opposition. They will be assimilated back into the empire.

  16. Public school teacher salaries are a matter of public record, so they are pretty easy to pull up. I attached a salary schedule for San Jose Unified. It looks pretty good when you get to year 30, I suppose, but the starting salary of 60k is not going to get you very far in the Bay Area. When I started close to 20 years ago, I believe it was around 45k. I decided to look up the Chicago teacher's salary, and they've got some pretty decent increases in there, so maybe that is why @Gfted1 is so salty towards fatcat teachers. It was like a 10-page spreadsheet though, but the 30-year teachers were making a pretty penny. @BruceVC Yes, my wife and I applied for our home together. Individually we were not going to qualify for a $350,000 loan on a $45k teacher's salary. I'm not sure we really should have even qualified when we combined, but we were young and dumb and did what everyone told us to do, which was to get in on property. Honestly it sounds pretty old fashioned to assume just the husband is signing on the loan and providing pay stubs, financials, etc. The majority of people in the US are dual income households. 2021.08.01 Teacher Salary Schedule.pdf

But at the end of the day I hope all US residents get their bag from the fatcats, so its win/win for @Hurlsnot. I just need to find the way in for me and mine. We have a Wells Fargo mortgage too (almost paid off, woohoo!) but now I cant help but wonder if they hate the Italians too and Ive been getting slightly shafted this entire time? 22. No, they can't - and that was the point of my argument. The Animal Companion spirit counts towards your summoning limit - and thus summoning Spiritual Ally will replace the Animal Companion. There are summons which don't count towards your summoning limit (Skeletons from Many Lives Pass By, Wurms from Dire Talon, Imps from Grave Calling, Creatures from Essence Interrupter and stuff like that) - but Animal Companiopn of Ghost Heart Rangers are none of those. This was one reason for my solo Geomancer to not pick Ghost Heart: I would not have been able to have Essential/Substancial Phantom + Animal Companion at the same time. Since I wanted to play a melee Geomancer I took Stalker anyway - but still a point to consider. Of course: if you don't plan to use Spiritual Ally in the first place there's not much downside with taking Ghost Heart. The summoning process has to be done between casting Priest spells, but as @Porkchopsandwiches247 pointed out the summoning process is pretty fast - and the time you spend summoning between casting buffs etc. might be balanced out by the fact that a conventional AC would need healing/resurrection from time to time. By the way: Conjurer's Familiars also count towards the summoning limit (which is pretty stupid imo). So as soon as you want to use any other summons on a regular basis the Summon Familiar spell becomes very unappealing (basically a lvl-1 emergency summon for distraction only if you have o other spell uses for better summons left).

  23. Whoa, whoa, whoa, *checks pamphlet* thats how we get our free oil from the ME and cheap gasoline. But Im with you here! Theres currently ~10T in US home mortgage balances...if we just halved our military expenditures, and eliminated racist lending practices, we could be living the good life in free houses in just 20 years! Another ~51B in annual foreign aid would probably pay for a lot of college too. Smh. *shakes fist at sky*

  26. somebody is not paying attention or perhaps is aiming for willful obtuse. "loophole" is an inappropriate way to describe if it were determined that hurl and his wife paid $3k more than were appropriate. what hurl references were a settlement and not a punitive damages situation, which means hispanic and african american borrowers on average were likely cheated considerable worse than the $3k. and have had this discussion previous regarding cost o' living in places such as nyc and why the guy in san francisco who cleans p00p off of sidewalks made $70k a year as base salary. live in san jose is so expensive that hurl has little more disposable wealth than the teachers in rural tn and tx receiving a relative pittance. only monetary advantage for hurl over tx teachers is probable retirement 'cause he and wife may take their money earned over decades and then go live in brownsville, tx. HA! Good Fun!

  28. Trying to make a point, that it's not about a skin tone, but more about ethnicity/culture. You cannot claim that a certain palette of skine tone is more privilaged than the other. You can say, that those who amassed wealth by conquest and were not devastated by a major military conflict (yet...) You can't tell me and prove that an immigrant to US from Romania has some privilage over a west african descendand, who was raised in US... I recall first hand how badly immigrants from central EU were treated in Germany or UK as borders opened for them after EU accession. The obly real privilage is wealth and networking. Anyone thinking otherwise is deluded and never travelled a world. I've experienced racism from Hindu, Persians, Arabs, East Asians (China, Japan, South Korea), various african descendands, 'muricans (all sorts of colonialist descendands), swedes, germans, irish, english (because being a slav descendand is a problem apparently). I've had to prove my worth on so many ocassions I can't count them anymore. I' m sure I wouldn't have to go through more than half of that if I was a law abiding kid of some middle class african family living 3rd gen in US...

  34. Every ability should just say how it scales. I mean it would be great if everything scaled the same way - but I can see how there might be abilites and situations where that's not a good fit and limits the design of abilities too much. So why not just include stuff like that in descriptions/tooltips etc.? Same as: why is there no entry regarding Power Level on the character sheet?

  36. Milk Outside of a Bag of Milk Outside of a Bag of Milk I don't play many visual novels (...pretty much never, in fact), but I liked this one. My impression of the game was that I played as the imaginary friend (or perhaps therapist?) of a paranoid schizophrenic girl trapped inside her room trapped inside her brain with only you, the player, as her guide to try and help make sense of her unstable thoughts and surroundings. Why I am playing this incredibly esoteric game...I'm not a hundred percent sure - I guess because I saw some stylish-looking pixel art and it had overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam and it only cost a couple of dollars. Money well spent, I suppose.

  37. It's completely awful - went from racism to some pathetic and utterly generic attempt at being pro-military, great. One good thing about is that three syllable teams pretty much always have a shortened version, and it seems the internet has already dubbed them "the Commies", which feels appropriate what with the red and all.

  39. Haha, the latest Conan Exiles update is why I started playing Subnautica, as it broke my private servers something fierce for quite a few days Fact that they released the patch while I was messing with the docker image didn't help, of course, so wasn't entirely clear whether the breakage was mods, or my changes. Found this server tuning guide that improves quite a few aspects. Especially looking forward to how combat will feel, especially once the server's been running for a while (got really "NPCs teleport around"-y for me after a week or so. Then usually crashes with out of memory). I imagine much of it is applicable to single player too (since it just runs the server locally), though performance might be a consideration depending on the gaming hardware (one of the reasons I started running my server on a separate machine in the first place) Currently building a massive base/city in Siptah. Really enjoying the changes they made to the Island after the beta. It's also kind of interesting how things sort of make sense from a continuity perspective even if you played before these major changes that added the NPC camps etc. As for Subnautica:

  40. I'm back at Conan Exiles. I decided to strip out all my mods and start a new game fresh. Funcom has done a good job of implementing a lot of quality of life stuff since I last played it plain. Just having fun in single player mode and starting my new empire from the ground up. I have more hours in this game than anything else I have ever played.

  44. So I have decided with one other guy, that we will try to run an Endurance Race in Assetto Corsa Competizione on Spa-Francorchamps track, with driver swap in the boxes on SimGrid platform. He is pretty much pro, but I am a newbie at that game, so we signed up our team as PRO-AM and I was assigned to do the qualification and start the race as a first driver. As soon as the Qualification started, I knew the **** hit the fan It was in the middle of the night and started to rain Thankfully the track was not flooded, so it was not to terrible, but I made few mistakes, so I had to start from the last quarter of the grid of 46 cars. Of course the race would be in the night as well, so I have decided to be as cautious as possible during the first few corners. And I have made a short video about all of the experiences, which I've accumulated during this race

  46. Would love to be able to go inside the beehive to have a look around! What would you find in there? Plenty! - Honey Globs - needs the T2 shovel to dig them out. Makes a great food source but needs to be melted down in an oven first to make it into its goopy, edible form. It doesn't go bad, and restores about 4x as much as a mushroom. - Bee larvae - an easy prey for the curious explorer, as long as you don't enrage the worker bees nearby. The larva, however, will attempt to defend itself by attacking or trying to hide within the hexagonal walls of the hive, and may get a hit or two in on you before you can kill it. Drops raw bee larva meat and a new type of goop that is used for a smoothie base. The new smoothie base doubles the power and effects of any smoothie you make with it. Attacking a larva in the presence of a worker bee will enrage the worker bee and it may even call for backup. - Queen Bee: A new boss that you can find in the middle of the hive. Similar in stats to the broodmother, but a bit easier to kill. You find her laying eggs in her chamber high up in an area you can't really reach or shoot to as she will be behind a wax wall until you summon her. She is triggered by placing a Mac & Bees inside her chamber, which enrages her, seeing how her workers are becoming food, triggering her to chew through the wax wall and start her attack. She would have a supersonic wing flap attack that propels you backwards and makes you drop your weapons if you are too close, a swift series of bite attacks a bit faster than a wolf spider's, a body slam attack where she flies up and attemps to buster dive you into the ground with her sheer weight, a ground pound attack that stuns you if you're too close, a pollen puff attack that slows you down and additionally halves your attack power for about 30 seconds, and summons larvae and worker bees to help her in the fight at various stages, first four larvae that attack by popping out of the groud as you try and walk about, then two larvae and two worker bees, then four worker bees when she's almost dying. After defeating her, you unlock a new mutation that makes your glider last a ton longer and additionally you can use it to glide faster and for much longer distances (the drop rate decreaes significantly) giving you a semi-flight ability if you go to high places and jump. You also get the Stinger of the Queen Bee, which is a T3 dagger you can craft from queen bee fuzz and a queen bee stinger that deals spicy damage on hit and is about twice as powerful as a spider fang dagger. You can also get a new armor piece, Her Majesty's Gown, which is a body piece of T3 medium armor that releases pollen spores if you get hit, slowing enemies, made from queen bee fuzz and regular bee fuzz. - Bee eggs: Used to make a T2 bomb, the Buzzburst. It deals significantly more damage than a Bratburst, and can be upgraded with pollen and honey globs to a Bluffburst, which will release pollen spores on explosion, slowing down enemies and cutting their attack power in half for a short time. Just be prepared to have an entire hive after you if you try stealing bee eggs. The buzzburst would need to be used to bust up certain rocks that a bratburst/splatburst is too weak to do (maybe an endgame area in the future) - Bee wax - can be harvested from the walls of the hive, and is used as a sturdy building material to make a hexagonal-like building of your own. Can also make a Waxy Glob for weapon upgrades.

  47. That is not the story. It's more like: Eothas killed you, Berath revived you and forces you to follow Eothas in order to find out what he wants - or you will die. You just left out the "do this or you'll die" part. Quite significant part if you ask for motivation I'd say. Edér also says that they got you on the Defiant because the farther away Eothas got the worse your condition. If we measure the power of one's soul in character levels then Eoths took 93,75% of your soul when he crushed Caed Nua. Sounds like enough to care about. I guess players would have cared more if the whole Watcher thing would have been like a mini-class with a seperate ability tree on its own. And instead of leveling up that tree by XP you would have leveld that up by talking to Eothas and getting back parts of your soul. So it's not only meanngful for the character but also the player (even the powergamer).
