My friend and I went to the theatre last night, seeing something called A Midnight Visit https://amidnightvisit.com/ A kind of alternative theatre where the audience mingle with the performers and experience things up close and personal. Ostensibly about experience the dreams and life of a recently deceased person. Lots of things taking place simultaneously and people can wander around to experience different aspects of it. Someone said if all the performances were serialised if would be nine hours, but the audience only get an hour and a half. You do get a voucher at the end for 25% off if you want to experience the show again. I’m sold Dress code was practical clothes, for climbing through narrow underground tunnels, climbing, walking on graveyards etc. Show was kept in a style, like straight out of something Mr. Poe could’ve come up with. Gothic horror. Black face masks were offered to those who had white or coloured masks because of a recent tuberculosis outbreak in town4 points

Yesterday, I had my very first surprise party and it was Star Trek themed. My cousin and aunt drove up from AZ and are staying through Christmas. I enjoyed it but I can definitely say I'd be happy never having another one because seeing everything Star Trek and family that isn't supposed to be there is how I imagine it'll be when I finally lose my last marble.4 points

if am ever with family and more than thirty minutes elapses w/o somebody being insulting or crude, we know we has gone insane, or they is plotting our demise... or both. ... that said, am s'posing if our eighty-something aunts started speaking in klingon, we might question our sanity regardless o' insults or vulgarity. HA! Good Fun!3 points

Only seen the first episode of Witcher S2. I mean honestly it's like the old complaint about public transport; nothing comes along for months then 4 series I'm actually interested in drop inside a few weeks, just when I don't have any spare time. Guess it must be due to the Northern Hemisphere with their silly reversed seasons or something. Got to say though, Witcher managed a better sense of scope literally inside its first two minutes with the Sodden aftermath scene than WoT has managed in 7 entire episodes- you'd think the Battle of Tar Valon was a minor skirmish from its depiction. Plus that Bruxa... in the immortal 'words' of Lews Therin Telamon: hums and tugs earlobe.2 points

Hello I have had grounded for a long time. I think it's all going in the right direction and love every single update thus far. All i wanted was too add to this great game. New Creature/ Weapons: ( I hear that Wood Termites are coming... Maybe... so they won't be added ) 1.) Earthworms: I think these would be great addition, when it rains they rise to the surface and maybe when it's dry out they dig underground. Combat could be every time you hit them the could multiply cause you cut them in half. There benefits could be more food related and fertilizer for crops. 2.) Earwigs: These are very common in most places. Earwigs could work to be getting a level 1 scythe and/or blade cause of their pincers. 3.) Ground Beetles: These could be very strong opponents, you could have to throw a bomb flip them on their backs and attack the soft belly. Could be used to create Beetle ( Crusader/ Persian Immortal ) armor/ Shield and could make Bolas to Trap/Capture insects 4.) Crickets: These could be a cool way to introduce homemade alarms, or instruments. They jump a lot and could introduce a little different fighting dynamic due to the jumping 5.) Flies: These would be great to add to the garbage section, they could also be used to make like goggles using their eyes, some type of flying contraption using their wings. They could also be used to introduce Maggots but idk what to do with those. 6.) Wireworms: I like the idea that theses could work like the Graboids from the movie tremors lol. Would love to have a enemy that burrows underground and tries to grab you and bring you under. 7.) Daddy Long Legs/ Cellar spiders: These would be really cool could build stilts, spears, maybe trebuchet ammo. Combat could work by having to take it out of his legs, his attacks could be like he drops to bite. 8.) DragonFly Nymphs: This could work as the Wolf Spider of the pond. They are vicious bugs and normally are rulers of the pond. They could be used to craft a Nymph Trident, Maybe even a Nymph Harpoon Gun. They have the ability to shoot water out and be able to get away, this could be a interesting dynamic in combat with them and maybe for some special crafting idk. Locations: 1.) Raised/Normal Garden: Could have Tomatoes, Carrots, Sunflowers,Squash and/or Whatever Vegetable/Fruit. This could be where a lot of the creatures I proposed could be and maybe there could be higher chances of combat cause the bugs are trying to get the food, so they will have a higher chance fight each other and you. There would be tons of places to put a boss battle if this came to be. 2.) Fire pit: This could be cool ( or hot lol). We could get ash, sinders, burnt wood. We could use this almost like a citronella to keep bugs away from your base. There would be no bugs ( cause they hate smoke ), But you would have to deal with the smoke and heat from cinders. We could find burnt carcass of bugs, Maybe a Field Station/ Research Facility. We could get fluid from a broken zippo lighter or be able to scavenge things off of matches. We could make molotovs, exploding arrows, flaming arrows and ash bombs or make a smoke gun to scare away insects or put bees to sleep. 3.) Stream: It would be really cool to have a stream come off the pond or be its own thing leading to another pond with like a mini waterfall. There could be a Research station behind the waterfall. This could make it so that we could have like a surfboard, raft, or Tube to float down on. They could sport a high variety of insects and resources. More things in the water would be awesome. 4.) Outdoor Mini Fridge: Could introduce Cold dynamic, would be nice to get ice, and other cold weather things BOSSES: 1.) Praying Mantis: I'm sure everyone and their mother has been asking for it. The potential for this creature are so gosh darn high. A Praying mantis Level 3 scythe, There armor could look live the Grim reaper. The fighting style would be bite jabs and grabs with its claws. Some have the ability to camouflage that would be a awesome fighting dynamic. 2.) DragonFly: This could serve as the Boss of the stream. There wings could be used to make gliders, Body could be used to make Knight and Shining or Dragon Armor because of their vibrant colors. They fly very fast and come in on precision strikes. The weapon i had in mind was like a Dragonfly Halbert, Pitchfork, or Pike. 3.) GrassHopper: These guys are pretty big so that's why i made him a boss. I did some research and these guys can be vicious, there mandibles are like chainsaws. They much very high and bite can be quite painful. They could produce a saw or the Macuahuitl ( Aztec Saw Blade ). There armor could also be inspired by a Aztec or Native American Armor. 4.) Centipedes: This would be terrifyingly great! A super long and terrifying enemy. He could be inside of the Shed, or in a stump. The Armor could be like a Egyptian style. The weapon that it makes could be a Khopesh Sword ( The Curved Sword ) or a double bladed scimitar . 5.) Escaped Pet Scorpion: This would be the only way i think we could get scorpions in the game. It would be the best place to fight it in the sandbox. Weapon could be Scorpion Scythe or Sais 6.) Escaped Pet Tarantula: This would be a cool way to get another big spider fight. Viking Armor would be nice, Weapon could be a two handed axe 7.) Garden Snake: This would be awesome! Like the Koi Fish this would be a scary roaming huge boss. We could make a Snake Whip and Snake Leather and other cool stuff Weapons: 1.) Throwing Stars: Could be made from any mandibles and will add to the strength depending on which mandible is used 2.) Trebuchet: These can be put to defend your base from invaders or be pulled. 3.) Catapult: These can be put to defend your base from invaders or be pulled. 4.) Roman Centurion Style Shield: It could be made from a type of Beetle if added These were just some of the things i thought up thanks!1 point

I'm wrapping up presents today and tomorrow. I'm also pushing myself to somewhat flip my schedule in preparation for the drive to southern Florida. Wednesday evening I'm driving 2 hours northeast to the Greensboro Coliseum for the All Elite Wrestling Holiday Bash event. As a longtime rasslin fan, a big show at the Greensboro Coliseum is a bucket list item. I'll probably get home Thursday early morning around 2 am and the plan is to stay up until at least 7 am, then crash, wake up late afternoon/evening, then start the roughly 11 hour drive at 10 pm-ish.1 point

pretty sure i saw that trick (unstealthed/stealthed) in one of the ultimate runs1 point

funnily enough, i've been doing this trick for a long time, mostly for ambushes. i say funny, because i just replied in that other thread never knowing/thinking to equip items without soulbinding them, so it just goes to show you what you think is well-known might not actually be. in ambushes you can do it if you have auto-pause: enemy spotted, just stealth as soon as the game pauses. it doesn't always work because sometimes i feel like the game forcefully unstealths you (esp coming out of dialogue), and other times the enemies are so close they break stealth very quickly, but when it does work you can get off a few buffs or improve your positioning before you get revealed. (and very occasionally positioning works out that you can scurry away and set yourself up with buffs or start doing cheesy stuff) i actually think it's slightly more of a hassle. sometimes you get frame skips, sometimes your timing is a little off (at least for me and my terrible gamer reflexs) and it doesn't work out. might be fine for a typical run where you can reload, but if you're doing ironman mode or the ultimate i would stay safe and use traps (which is what i did).1 point

Ok, on one hand Eggers is a must watch for me and this trailer really drives that home. On the other, with the rona looking to make another comeback I'm worried that theaters around me won't be safe. I guess that will mean I have to wait a few months after release.1 point

Well thanks for responding, you make some good points and I will reflect on them But I still think you are over-analyzing Trumps comments and making your own statements of fact about what Trump meant or didnt mean. The idiom " die like a dog" and other statements like " its a dogs life " are not supposed to be taken literally and the genesis of these statements and how they get used is not suppose to be actually anti-dog Here is a definition of the expression https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/die+like+a+dog So you cant make false equivalences like what would I think about Trump saying "die like a women\LGBT\Muslim\Jew ..xxx " because these other idioms dont exist so I cant comment on them and you cant really make your own definitions up of what " die like dog means " and other ostensibly anti-dog sayings?1 point

so not true. trump has been venting against "american jews" since (before) he started running for office, and there has been a constant effort to reimagine his predictable fits o' spleen. clearly such efforts have worked for folks like bruce. the thing is, trump support from the jewish population in this country has never been strong and 45 can't help but bemoan the lack o' votes from those he believes owe him fealty. what is maybe/kinda new is complaining 'bout israel and netanyahu, 'cause curious enough, israel and benji enjoy significant approval from the trump base... at least from those who are not active affiliated with the proud boys and similar groups. the gop is just so weird these days. regardless, trump has a considerable history o' saying the wrong thing 'bout those with disabilities, women, minorities, veterans, military commanders, individuals who are not christian, christians and dogs. unless you are putin, is a good chance trump will eventual say something offensive 'bout you if he has not done so already. where have you and gd been the last +5 years? HA! Good Fun!1 point

I did. And I hated it. Dark Souls style boss just didn't fit that game.1 point

I think you need to change ApplyStatusEffectToEnemyOnEvent to ApplyStatusEffectToTargetOnEvent if you want it to affect allies. Edit: Wait, no, that's not the issue here, that's only relevant for AttackEnemyOnEvent vs AttackTargetOnEvent. My bad.1 point

Finished Witcher season 2. Overall quite pleased with it. It's certainly much better than Wheel of Time, but I hope that show gets an equivalent upgrade in quality for its second season. Jaskier though, meh. Still annoys me that they're reducing him to almost 100% comic relief. In the books he's learned, funny and cunning in his own way. His friendship with Geralt feels very genuine there. Hope to see more of that in season 3.1 point

Does a kill from Ninagauth's Killing Bolt on your ending-life current summon proc the Slippers of the Assassin invisibility And the ghost? That sound great to do an infinite Shadow loop, although in reality the ghost should be die too fast by ennemies.1 point

Love it, working from home rocks and I hope it hangs around until I retire.1 point

The fact that they were seriously pursuing this idea to the point of announcing has me pretty much convinced development of this game is all but doomed even with that specific point being reversed. Into the trash it goes.1 point

You don’t need to soulbound the item to have the strength inspiration upgrade. Just equip it. Exactly. Edit: you can also use SoT or WoD for example in poko kohara exterior you have several places where you can destroy a barrel and fight lots of easy/drainable enemies at the same time.1 point

Small YouTuber makes a viral video so maybe it appeared in all your YT recommendation lists already. I have never been a big sealife, seafood, shellfish fan (alive or as food). But watching this I felt like cheering the lobster on. Satisfying watch, for some reason. He got a lucky break and instead of becoming dinner he's a well taken care of pet. Go Leon!1 point

I'm noticing a trend in games aiming for realistic graphics, such as the Matrix Awakens and this: They are landing squarely in the uncanny valley, and I find it rather unsettling. I generally prefer stylized over realistic graphics anyway, but I'm going to be flat out avoiding realistic looking games until we get out of the uncanny valley.1 point

As I heard it "right to work" actually means "right to die while working". Generally speaking labor law in the US appears to be a joke played on American workers, but a significant percentage of them appear to be fine with it. But that's what you get with basically 100 years of stoking anti union sentiment. Now, it's not like labor laws in Europe are a wonderful panacea to all of the workers' problems, but at least they are not a trash fire being revered on an altar by a bunch of people who are being slowly poisoned and killed by the fumes.1 point

you suggested hyperbole as you had no recollection o' trump making disparaging comments 'bout dogs. if trump claimed that individuals he disliked had died or begged like a woman, you would no doubt agree such were insulting to women. call a simile or figure o' speech does not make any less insulting. is only ok 'cause is dogs and not women or asians or whatever. and the "inability to say with certainty defense" is getting tired. trump doesn't have a dog. his ex claims trump doesn't like dogs. trump routine compares the worst aspects o' humanity to qualities absent in canines. pretty strong prima facia case for trump dislike o' dogs... which again is irrelevant to question o' whether trump had ever said anything insulting 'bout dogs. ... is partial on us for bothering to respond. mea culpa. HA! Good Fun!0 points

I've quit. I may come back to it, but I hate the platform game level design that has just ramped up in the castle section. I'm finding the up-down, get blown around level design to not really be fun, worse than the last level. I took a few days off to see if a fresh take improved my feelings, but it didn't.0 points
