To make matters funny some got an account ban. What makes this story interesting is that apex runs a kernel level anti-cheat software and the suspicion is that the hack happened through it. This is the screen that flashed for every player when the hack happened. Seems that this is not the first time he did it. At one point he spawned bots in a ranked game for a streamer and turned it in to zombie mode, spammed streamers with packs to unlock all cosmetics and similar stuff. But this one is big as the publicity is much larger. The funniest thing about this whole thing is that the hacker can just claim he did this before and that he influenced past tournaments. How apex works, and most shooter games these days too, is that anyone who is playing on a controller has aim assist in an effort to level the playing field with the mouse and keyboard players. So he could have just modified the value for the aim assist to be stronger and made whichever team he wanted have better odds. Humanoid Posted March 21 Share Posted March 21 While I wouldn't have minded some new additional content for BG3 before saying goodbye, ultimately I think it's the right decision for Larian to do their own thing instead of hitching their wagon to the D&D licence. I'm steadfast in my opinion that BG3 is good in spite of being a D&D game, not because of it. There seems to be some performance issues, but I also see lots of claims about having to pay for stupid stuff like starting a new character. No idea what is true, some of the claims are outrageous.
