I'd consider this a specific subset of a broader gripe I've always had with RPGs: If the game ends ten minutes after I've maxed out and realized my potential, it's a bummer. I want some content to enjoy the power I've spent the whole game building up—a number challenging fights for my max-level character with endgame equipment. Pillars 1 gave a me a lot of content after maxing out, but all of it was balanced against much weaker parties so it wasn't necessarily much fun. A little less content (after maxing out) with a much higher challenge rating is what I hope we'll get in PoE 2.

La Biancamarcia? Really? How could people possibly find the Italian translation of Pillars of Eternity good is way beyond my understanding. I tried it for, like, two dialogs and changed back to English immediately, never to look back. Whoever decided that names of places should be translated shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a translation, professional or otherwise...

I believe the art direction of the game is, generally speaking, already leaning more toward "historically accurate" (without being necessarily 100% true to historical designs) than toward cartoonish, WoWish, or otherwise over-the-top. Of course magic weapons get a bit of a moratorium on aesthetic accuracy because, well, magic and fantasy setting. Personally I didn't find most of the unique designs in PoE to be particularly silly-looking or over-the-top—indeed, there are people out there calling for more exotic designs, though I'm not among them. Could you name a few items you thought were out of place stylistically?

Imo making it available as an add-on would cheapen it as a thank-you token to backers who contributed $500+, which is what the plushie was designed for in the first place. Obsidian felt those backers should receive something special to reward their generosity; if anyone could get the plushie as an add-on to any tier, it would no longer be a special token of anything—rather just another item on the pile of stuff high-tier backers already get. And I say this as a backer who's below the $500 mark.

Same here. Got a 50% discount coupon for Tyranny and I already own the game on GOG. Happy to give my coupon away. -
PoE CEs were indeed shipped by Paradox from Sweden, so no additional VAT/customs charges were incurred by European backers (I would know, as I am one of them.) I would be very surprised if Obsidian did not adopt a EU-friendly solution for Deadfire. Keep in mind that even Beamdog shipped their SoD CEs from within Europe even though they don't have a European publishing partner (and they charged $45 for shipping to Europe.) I guess they can't commit to it now because they don't have a partnership that is set in stone. I'm sure they'll talk to Paradox about it (and after the first game's success, I doubt Paradox would turn the offer down) but until a contract's signed, the wisest thing for Obsidian is not to make promises.

It would be a fairly gargantuan effort to develop all fictional languages in the setting (or at least those applicable to Deadfire) to a point where entire dialog trees can be written in them, though. Then it would need doubling down on them in English for the character who translates for you. It would add realism/immersion, but the second time through the game it would probably already be annoying not to understand every dialog right away and essentially be forced to recruit party members based on background so that all languages could be understood.

You certainly can. 25th April is just the cut-off date past which pledges won't count toward stretch goals any longer.

Personally I thought the VFX for Savage Attack was pretty and that of Vulnerable Attack was OK. I actually made sure I disabled them before saving to avoid incurring the bug that would remove the VFX upon reloading I agree, however, that the effect for Slaying weapons was horrible. Lashes weren't very good either, with perhaps the exception of Freezing as Boeroer mentioned. Adam did say on Twitter these VFX have been reworked, so hopefully they'll look good in Deadfire
