  1. Hi Josh. Considering some people like myself have submitted their surveys before this information came to light, is it possible to 'reset' our surveys so we can go back and change/re-submit them please. Or are the surveys now locked in until we get feedback (which could be weeks away?) and asked to change our items/npcs. I'm not too concerned but I imagine I'll be asked to change a couple of things.
  2. I suggest doing some research on voice actors on BG1/2 and voice actors in games in general. For instance Jim Cummings who did voices for Interplay/Black Isle such as Fallout - Set, Gizmo, The Master. BG1/2 - Minsc, Gorion, Mulahey, Lord Jierdan Firkraag, Red Dragon, Ogres, Genie. He was also the voice actor in Transformers. Also voice actor Frank Welker who did Megatron, Soundwave, Laserbeak, Frenzy, Ravage, Rat Bat, Mirage and other transformers in the 80s also did Elminster, Eltan, Korax, Werewolves, Durlag, Greater Dopplegangers, Terminsel, Lord Cor Delryn, Avatar of Amaunator and others for BG1/2. You don't need to get many untrained people to do many voices. You can get one professional voice actor to do many voices.
  3. You would be wrong. There were many professional voice actors in BG1/2.
  4. No thanks. I dislike pre-order exclusive DLC. The BG2 merchants you mentioned before were available to everyone when it was released via the internet. It wasn't hard to find them. And eventually included in a patch by Bioware. Needs to be something else imo.
  5. Exactly. One of the problems I see is if you get to level 4 of the dungeon and your characters are at level 2 and find it too difficult, when do you come back? When you're characters are level 4? Level 5? How would you know? So you come back to do level 4 of the dungeon when your characters are at level 5 and find levels 4 & 5 are too easy but then you hit a wall at level 7. What level do your characters have to be to come back to make it enjoyable and not too easy? You don't know. And I don't have the time to experiment and find out the right level of your characters to enjoy each level of the dungeon to make it challenging and yet not too easy. I'd rather have the dungeon as an end game thing like with Durlag's Tower. You would never do Durlag's Tower at low levels. It was always an end game dungeon.
  6. I've been wondering about this too. How do you get people who have already pledged money to pledge even more money? Perhaps rewards as you've said. There's got to be an incentive for backers to pledge more money otherwise everybody will just sit back and hope someone else donates the money.
  7. I think I'll do the dungeon near the end of the game. Do the first couple of levels and then go back to the main campaign. Near the end of the game, go back and finish the dungeon and I'll be at a level where I'll get through most of it relatively easy until near the end of the dungeon.
  8. I agree. I'll take the BG UI over IWD 2 any day.
  9. Hi Matt, NPC design drop downs work on some like Select Class, Hair Style, etc but doesn't work for: Facial Hair, Armor Class, Armor Color, Occupation*, Main weapon*, Off-hand item, Characters Head, Characters Armor. While most of these options are optional, the two critical drops downs Occupation* and Main weapon* prevent you from going any further. The Item design survey had no problems. Using IE 10 with Windows 7. Checked and Java Script is enabled.
  10. My concern is that not only are they going to start a new Kickstarter but they will also start new stretch goals for Pillars of Eternity. I assume they would do something with the new stretch goals after Christmas and in the new year on their own website. Maybe Jan or Feb when employees are back from holidays? Obsidian still needs to iron out some bugs with the Backer portal. So Jan or Feb is probably a good estimate. Then start the second Kickstarter in March or April for their new game? That's two games they're looking for funds from players in a relatively short amount of time.
  11. The game being released in small instalments over 3 months and having to wait two weeks for the next part? No thanks.
  12. No sacrifice of Dungeon Levels. Doesn't make sense to do so since Obsidian have already started on the mega dungeon some time ago with story and layouts. Just keep the new stretch goals to companions and wilderness areas as additions without sacrificing other areas of the game.
  13. Just picked up Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics. Always played on my original copies so it's good to have a digital copy now.
  14. There's been a lot of errors with missing stuff. The dev's are trying to correct this.
  15. Considering you were the one who started this thread and I recall RTwP was leading the poll by at least a couple of hundred votes when this thread started, opening this thread on the Obsidian forums had the opposite effect to what you wanted. And by looking at the response in this thread, the RTwP following would be in the minority.
  16. The Sequel to Pillars of Eternity. I just read the OP.
  17. I'm hoping they do something with the new stretch goals. But they'll probably only show money for the stretch goals and not the full total raised.
  18. Something like this? I'm guessing if you walked up to a bear in real life then it might want to attack you because you're too close and encroaching on its personal space? That would seem the logical answer to me.
  19. Not so much hate characters per se. More that you don't seem to meet some characters until halfway through the game like in BG1 and BG2. Especially in BG1 when some of the NPCs in the City of Baldurs Gate felt gimped by the time you met up with them or had no emotional attachment since you've been playing half or most of the game with an already full party.
  20. It'd be good if you had an option at the second step where you could click an option that you've already ordered and then go to the addons.
