  3. The cheese that is remaining to be addressed (or left be) is: quick switching of Outworn Buckler overtriggering of Riposte and Offensive Parry when coupled with Immunity to Disengagement attack (Gipon Prudensco, Nomad's Brigandine) overtriggering of Chilling Grave (Grave Calling). Especially by a Berserkerer killing Beckoner's skeletons (Ancient Brittle Bones) Whispers of the Wind with Mortars Mob Stance full-attack trigger with melee weapon in MH and ranged weapon in OH perma-invis/vanish Blood Sacrifice with no limit Tactician's Brilliant triggering during invis, despite of enemies nearby So first of all I wanted to ask your opinion on the following possible changes: make Chilling Grave trigger with 12s internal cd change "Immunity to Disengagement attack" from Gipon Prudensco and Nomad's Brigandine to "Immunity to Engagement" Whisper of the Wind to work only if melee weapons are equipped add some small but stacking malus to CON or HealingTaken everytime Blood Sacrifice is used. (or use Elric's nerf?) What do you think? cc @Boeroer, @Elric Galad, @Constentin Lévine, @Noqn, @thelee

  4. Isn't that exactly what Macron wants, to make clear to the rest of the world (and especially Europe) that the United States is lost to them, will not help if they actually need it? I feel like that's something he's been trying to accomplish for years at this point, even during the Biden administration. Felt like that was a pretty good demonstration.

  5. I have a soft spot for Piranha Bytes. They made unique games with progression that I liked, though the stories tended to be ... to weird for me. Elex was a good janky game, and I agree Elex 2 was a mess. Liked Risen, never did Gothic. So I have hopes for this remake and hope it will get the same remake-acclaim that Resident Evil 4 did.

  6. Long time no see For quite some time I was thinking about an update to CommunityPatch and also a new optional module named: AntiCheese I wasn't active on the forums as I may wished for the last couple of years. That was due to lasting health issues and irl stuff. I am feeling better now, and am thinking of releasing CommunityPatch update and this new module in the upcoming weeks. -------------- Regarding CP v3.0 update there will be a separate thread. While this one will be dedicated to CP.AntiCheese And speaking of it, I was highly inspired by Balance Polishing Mod, so you will see a lot of credits going to @Elric Galad -------------- The list of currently implemented changes is: Cipher: Soul Blade: +10 MaxFocus (gained on kill with melee weapon) will now have a stack limit of 10 (instead of unlimited). This effect will also be cleared on Rest and on Death. Soul Blade: +1 Concentration (gained on kill with melee weapon) will now have a stack limit of 5 (instead of unlimited). This effect will also be cleared on Rest and on Death. Chanter: Each Kill Fed His Fury: +stats effect will be cleared on Rest and on Combat End Druid: Avenging Storm: Effect now applies on "OnDealsDamage" event with weapon attack, insted of "OnScoringGrazeHitOrCriticalHit" with weapon attack. Sync with CP.Basic. Avenging Storm: bonus shock proc will no longer be able to crit. But the spell cast/recovery times are decreased from 4.5s/3.0s to 3.0s/0s. And same for Scroll of Avenging Storm and Heaven's Cacophony helmet. Fighter: Unbending: reworked implementation of self-healing (reason: it was healing for way more than it was supposed to) - what it was supposed to do (according to description): 25% of Damage Taken converted into Healing (Self) for 15.0 sec - what it was doing: for the duration of those 15s, every time fighter would take damage, a 5s ApplyOverTime HoT (Healing over Time) effect. At 10 MIG, 10 INT and no PL bonuses it would heal for 15% at 3s and 10% at 5s. But due to vanilla implementation of ApplyOverTime it would also heal an extra tick at 0s for 15%. Plus everytime a new HoT would be applied, all other Unbending HoTs on fighter would heal for 1 tick. So depending on situation, fighters would get healed for 40-100+% of damage taken - how it will work now: when taking an instance of damage, fighter will get healed for 11% of damage taken 3 times: after 2s (fixed), 4s (fixed) and 6s (fixed). Total 33%. That is both a buff (compared to dev's intention of 25%); and a nerf (compared to dev's implementation of 40-100+%) Unbending Shield: same rework as with Unbending. Total healing received upon taking 1 damage instance will now be: 3 * 11% (at 2s, 4s and 6s from taking damage) Unbending Trunk: same rework as with Unbending. Total healing received upon taking 1 damage instance will now be: 3 * 15% (at 2s, 4s and 6s from taking damage) Monk: Resonant Touch now has a limit of 25 stacks. You will have to release existing stacks in order to build them up again. (same as in CP:Extra) Whispers of the Wind: when used will grant a 1s (fixed time) immunity vs reflex and powder burns attacks Whispers of the Wind: when used will increase the cost of Whispers of the Wind by +2 wounds for 6s (fixed duration). This cost increase stacks 2 times. Paladin: Brand Enemy: DoT duration decreased from Infinite to 120s. But damage increased from 4 Burn per 3.0s to 5 Burn per 3.0s. Additionally, DoT's duration will be extended by 5s, every time the target takes damage from melee weapon attacks. Lay on Hands (Shieldbearer): does no longer provide a 4s buff preventing death. Instead: for 5s, if the allied target becomes Near Death, a 150pts damage shield is applied for 5s (credit goes to Elric Galad) Priest: Barring Death Door: does no longer provide an effect preventing death. Instead: the next time (no time limit for this part) the target becomes Near Death, a 300 pts damage shield is applied for 12s (the effect is less strong, but is longer and can be cast preventively). (credit goes to Elric Galad) Salvation of Time: does no longer increase duration of beneficial effects on target by flat 10s. Instead: it halves the ellapsing speed of buffs for 24s fixed (not benefitting from INT and PL) Basically adds up to 12s to effect' durations but: - Now also applies to effects cast after it (especially useful for Vanishing Strikes...) - Useless to cast several times in a row - The most important: now a single effect cannot have it's duration more than doubled - It is still a very good spell, even better than before, but it is now impossible to abuse by combining it with Brilliant and the like; and all other buffs will also have to be re-cast again at some point (credit goes to Elric Galad) Rogue: Gouging Strike: DoT duration decreased from Infinite to 120s. DoT's duration will be extended by 5s, every time the target takes damage from melee weapon attacks. Wizard: Wall of Draining: AffectedTargetType changed from All to Hostile (that's mostly visual effect) (credit goes to ElricGalad) Wall of Draining: instead of draining 1s and extending buffs on self by 1s per tick; wall will now drain 2s from enemy, and extend buffs on self by 0.5s per tick (per affected enemy). (same as in BalancePolishingMod) Wall of Draining: application prerequisite changed from [HasBeneficialEffectWithDuration GreaterThan 0s] to {[HasBeneficialEffectWithDuration GreaterThan 1s] AND [HasBeneficialEffectWithDuration LessThan 9999s]}. Reason: it was trying to drain from some infinite effects Minor Grimoire Imprint: removed this spell from grimoires. And substituted with Ironskin or Minor Arcane Reflection. Reason: the stolen spells would not expire, if gained by casting Minor Grimoire Imprint from a grimoire and switching to another grimoire Major Grimoire Imprint: removed this spell from grimoires. And substituted with Wilting Wind or Minoletta's Piercing Sigil. Reason: same as above Concelhauts Draining Touch: removed this spell from grimoires. And substituted with Noxius Burst, Arcane Dampener or Minolleta's Bounding Missiles. Reason: same as above General: Brilliant: Now only restores spell Slot up to Tier 3/6/9 for Priests, Wizards and Druids. The maximum regenerated tier is cycling : Tier 3 after 3s, Tier 6 ater 9s, Tier 9 after 15s and so on until the end of the effect. Brilliant does not restore ressource anymore before 3s for all classes. (credit goes to Elric Galad for implementation) Dawnstar Blessing: changed from +50% Healing Given, to +55% which decreases by 5% for every character level past lvl 4 until it reaches +15% at lvl 12; and it remains +15% after that. It will still be cleared upon Rest. Powder Burns (blunderbuss modal): will no longer fire twice when used with mortars. (credit goes to Elric Galad) Items: - Boltcatchers: Storm Blows proc will no longer be able to crit. Proc damage increased from 10-15 to 15-25 to compensate for the nerf. - Deltro's Cage Helm: - Conduit will no longer proc out of combat - Conduit effect will be cleared on Rest and on Combat End - The helm will now passively grant +1 Perception, to slightly compensate for the nerf - Lover's Embrace: True Love's Kiss DoT duration decreased from Infinite to 120s. But damage increased from 10 Raw per 6.0s to 12 Raw per 6.0s - Magnificent Escape Cloak: bonus Deflection and immunity to Engagement effects will now be cleared on Rest and on Combat End - Potion of Final Stand: - duration changed from 6s to 18s Unadjusted (meaning it cannot be extended by player stats) - both effects ("cannot die" and "+25% bonus damage") will be also cleared on Rest and on Combat End - a character can use it only once per encounter - Protective Eothasian Charm: Darkest Before Dawn will now provide increased damage reduction (-30% damage taken, up from -25%), but it's effects will be cleared on Rest and on Combat End - Rakhan Field Boots: No Quarter can be used only on hostile targets now (as in CP.Extra). They also can no longer target self. - Shroud of the Phantasm: Mind Over Matter can trigger only from hostile attacks now (as in CP.Extra) - Shroud of the Phantasm: Mind Over Matter effect will now be cleared on Rest and on Combat End. But the proc chance increased from 1% to 1.5% TODO: can only trigger in combat Weapons: - Lethandra's Devotion: Pale Light will no longer provide any healing during first 3s after equipping the shield. Reason: it could be abused using behaviour scripts to rapidly heal the whole party. - Sasha's Singing Scimitar: Prelude and it's upgrades will no longer cumulatively decrease remaining recovery times on repeated re-equip. Reason: it could be abused using behaviour scripts to drastically decrease remaining recoveries on chanter and his party members. - Thundercrack: Charged Field will no longer cumulatively increase remaining recovery times on repeated re-equip. Reason: it could be abused using behaviour scripts and halt enemies actions for indefinite period of time. - Hand Mortar: Blinding Smoke (disorienting attack) will not be able to crit anymore - Scordeo's Edge: Double Strike will no longer trigger on hits from any source, but only on those that are originated from Scordeo's Edge itself. (for reference: its upgrades Blade Cascade and Tempest already trigger only from Scordeo's Edge attacks in vanilla) (credit goes to Elric Galad) - Scordeo's Edge: Blade Cascade duration type changed to "Unadjasted" (meaning it cannot be extended by player stats) - Scordeo's Edge: Blade Cascade application behaviour changed from "UseLongerDurationIfAlreadyApplied" to "DontApplyIfAlreadyApplied" - Scordeo's Edge: Blade Cascade proc effect will now be cleared on Rest and on Combat End - Grave Calling: Frosted Edge bonus lash effect will now be cleared on Rest and on Combat End. - Grave Calling: Frozen Edge bonus lash effect will now be cleared on Rest and on Combat End. - Saru-Sichr: it's special DoT procs (Poison Dipped, Paralytic, Death Sentence) will not be able to crit anymore (reason: to avoid crit-chain with Swift Flurry, Heartbeat Drumming, etc) (credit goes to Elric Galad) - Effort: it's status effect (Hemorrhaging) will not be able to crit anymore (reason: same as above) (credit goes to Elric Galad) - Mohara Taga: it's status effect (Red Flag Flying) will not be able to crit anymore (reason: same as above) (credit goes to Elric Galad) - Sanguine: it's status effect (Weeping Wounds) will not be able to crit anymore (reason: same as above) (credit goes to Elric Galad) - Distraho: it's status effect (Menace) will not be able to crit anymore (reason: same as above) (credit goes to Elric Galad) - Wicked Beast: it's status effects (Bad Dog, Hounding) will not be able to crit anymore (reason: same as above) (credit goes to Elric Galad) - Ball and Chain: it's status effects (Crushing Yoke, Subjugation, Shackles) will not be able to crit anymore (reason: same as above) (credit goes to Elric Galad) Misc: - Auranic Megaboss now gets back a spell slot every 12s for the duration of the fight, in order to prevent the strat via starvation (credit goes to Elric Galad)

  7. When attempting to complete this quest line, I ran into a little issue.... apparently if you pay the grain merchant and then give back the food, it skews the quest going forward. You are able to slay the spirits just fine, but completion does NOT trigger and you are unable to leave the offerings. Do I have to wait for a patch fix? I really don't want to have to start another character. At least it's only a side quest, but it's kind of a big deal.

  9. For pure wizard nuker single class bloodmage is just a ridiculously stacked subclass. Honestly not that much build advice just have lots of int and perception and get corrosive siphon + chill fog to carry you early game. The corrosive siphon + blood sacrifice combo places blood mage way ahead of other single class wizards at low levels where normal wizards will run out of spells fast. For spellblade Soulblade/Monk (no subclass or Nalpasca) with Tuotilos palm shield + Sun & Moon flail (or any other good one hander) is quite strong. Dual-wield + sword and shield active at the same time, Sun & Moon double hits synergise with both soul annihilation and swift flurry + heartbeat drumming. Shield is available very early, flail fairly early, can use gladiators sword until then. This cantor build casts and melees so I guess you could call it a spellblade and the skald half should feel a little familiar too you, but still different enough to be interesting (I'm assuming the Heralds were Troubadurs). Personally I'd go non-helwalker and sashas scimitar + tuotilos palm here too but I'm kind of lazy with control so i dislike being too fragile. I'd also get thunderous blows and skip Their Champion (the user who posted the build uses a mod that reduces the cost of Their Champion by 2 phrases for him), I'd also skip Together they Slew Forth a River of Red (the bonus damage for charmed is really not that relevant) and pick up weapon and shield style for tuotilos palm instead. I mean you can still have tanks, brawler Rekke, Pallegina, and Eder with pet blessing aren't as good as PC tanks but they can do their job as long as you bring the damage.

  11. Actually there is 2 things that are really abused (and only useful for the Ultimate), conducting the character to a +∞ power curve, in despite of the challenge, the fun and the strategy : Temporal Cocoon and Tears of saint Makawo, since their stun debuff is a separate hostile effect than the untargetable effect, which is beneficial. There are more a god mode than cheese, as you can read here : https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/126492-temporal-cocoon-the-godlike-spell/ https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/126180-class-build-beyond-the-veil/ (ok that require SoT- strand of Favor to be effective but without these possibility, SoT is not so punitive for the gameplay)

  12. I meant with that his questions come from White House, instead being actually journalistic questions. So when he questioned Zelensky about his attire, that question come from Trump and co, instead being some silly question from random journalist
    1 point
  13. Apparently Trump was also irked by his attire. Guess it doesn't matter when it's Musk. Being MTG's boyfriend still doesn't elevate him from rando. Language seemed to be the issue. I am still puzzled where the disrespect in Zelensky's part is, well unless Vance was sticking up for Putin. Getting a kick out of people thanking Trump for defending the US though. Ukraine really needs one good diplomat, they've always had ones saying stupid crap, like Melnyk. I believe Yelnak was the guy behind this meeting as well, apparently Kellogg disagrees (source is NYP though...)
    1 point
  14. Zelensky was there to sign it but for some reason he was forced to ensure humiliation ritual anticipatory press meeting where people usually shortly tell what they except from that days discussions. But Trump for some reason made that event much longer than it usually is, take his time to praise Putin, which is quite rude considering that he was meeting president of country that Putin has invaded, then his ally in press score asks why Zelensky disrespects US by not fearing suite and Vance praises Russia's diplomacy, in which Zelensky maybe unwisely comments what kind of diplomacy Vance is speaking, which lead Vance and Trump shouting Zelensky how ungrateful he is. Even after that Zelensky was willing to sign the mineral deal, but Trump kicked him out. So there was no deal to be made, this was show to Trump supporters to put blame on Zelensky for his failure to make peace in Ukraine as soon as he become president which he said he will do during his campaign. So Zelensky had already lost US when Trump was elected, there was nothing that he could really have done but surrendered to please Trump, but even that option would have alienated US. EU already has funded Ukraine more than US (132.3 billion euros vs 114.2 billion euros) has, and even in military aid they are about equal (62 billion euros vs 64 billion euros). EU can double the support easily if they want considering that it is less than 1% of their GDP, it is more about question how difficult is to do because EU has members that support Russia and who are now empowered by USA to block all support for Ukraine.

  15. Don't know if it was poor prep or a (bad) plan. Zelensky must have- must have- been told how best to handle Trump. The reactions of the Ukrainian ambassador weren't exactly subtle as things were going downhill. Even if he wasn't it's not exactly rocket surgery: massage the guy's ego and talk about how ready for a deal you are in general terms. Normally you might blame Trump more but... you kind of have to deal with reality, even if you don't like it and the reality is that Trump is Trump. Zelensky behaved exactly as he said he would before the meeting and Trump reacted exactly as you'd expect. If anything it took him longer than you might expect given it was ~50 minutes and things only blew up in the last 10. Dunno, I'm fairly cynical by nature especially when it comes to geopolitics and I find it difficult to believe that was what Macron wanted- too much risk of a permanent break occurring, and Macron talks a good talk* but is inherently risk averse. Might make sense if he's already written Ukraine off as a lost cause, but I can't really see that. *one of the funnier things is reading breathless headlines like "Macron to send troops to Ukraine!!!" and checking the context to find that he actually said he'd send troops, if there was a ceasefire and international agreement accepting them. So, not sending them any time soon in other words. Also stuff like planning to spend 5% of GDP on defence; easy for him to say, but Not Going to Happen.

  18. i have a similar gripe about Marius. You can upgrade Shadow Step so that it basically instakills stunned enemies. When it works it's great! But he'll just waste it on un-stunned enemies or not use it when there are stunned enemies! I tried disabling the setting for companions to use their abilities themselves, but this added way more radial micromanagement than I enjoyed. Other allies have similar problems, but it's less of a big deal w/ e.g. Kai's taunt, because at least he's still taunting. But Shadow Step has an extremely looooong cooldown and it's only really effective if it's smartly targeted! (Same goes for another upgrade that lets it do more damage the less health the target has) I wish there were slightly better smarts for companions, or at least have a system where if I put an ability on my hotkeys that they stop using it automatically.

  19. Uhm, so, extrapolating the 9070 XT performance based on AMD's own claims it will land roughly at the level of an RX 9700 XT non-second-X, with better RT performance. Makes sense, since the name's almost the same. MSRP - if it holds, that is - would put it at the same street price as the 9700 XT too, at least in Central Europe. And as always, a useless upsell card in the 9070 that no one will buy until AMD drops its price to 500$ or lower. Well, at least they're not trying to sell it for 650 and 700 respectively. Don't think it'll make much of a difference though - 4070 Ti Supers aren't much more expensive, at least if you're happy with buying a cheapo Palit card, which regularily go for ~850€ and will probably have the same performance (and better RT, presumably). Eh. Hey, Intel, where's the B770/B780? Come on.

  21. Are we going to incorporate a necromancer ability tree where using normal magic will imbue our creatures with specific abilities based on what spell is used? I want to create a undead army and imbue each one specifically or concentrate on on 4 or 5 creatures and toughen them up to defend me in battle while I stand back and cast spells from a death skull and wand before reaping souls and using them as fuel to summon rla replacement creature or change their type.

  24. Hello, I really like your new game. But theres one big issue for me. I can see that at many different RPGs. You have a game with a lot of skills, magic, attacks, even companion attacks and all we get is a 6 slot task bar. I know it's also for consoles and their options are restricted. But as a PC games I have a lot of buttons. Why do we always have to wait for modders to solve that problem. Just make ajustable slots as many as we want and free button placement, it's as simple as that. Thank you.

  25. Yes, Skaen with its Baby Sneak Attack + Apprentice's Sneak Attack is like having a Fighter's base accuracy (with Stiletto, Club or any summoned or soulbound weapon that can be bound to a Priest) plus a Rogue's Sneak Attack basically. Firebrand works very well with a Priest of Skaen because of its high base damage and being a "universal" weapon (all weapon focus talents and also all of the Priests' weapon talents apply - but of course multiple weapon focuses won't stack). The resulting dmg per strike on average is pretty much the highest you can get with a Priest of Skaen. Although a huge flaming great sword is not really a subtle weapon - but on the other hand: great concealment. "But Mr. guard sir... Which weapon do you mean?" *poof*

  26. Wish we could get the new guns from Avowed as unique weapons in PoE1 and 2. Almost makes me want to check if I can build a mod like that. I know it's possible to add new(?) items to the game, but not sure if we can add new models as well.

  27. Polish localisation is terrible. It isn't consistent with PoE series localisation. Some names of historical events are different. There is different translation for the same stuff (like Caedmen's ring in Dawntreader quest has different name in inventory and different in dialogue when you can give it back to Ofryc). There is lots of wrong declination for names like original english Magran (Av) instead of Magrana (PoE) which indicates that god of war is a male for example. On the other hand, in both PoE Ryngrim was translated as Ryngrim so I was sure it's a man, but now it looks like she's a women and old declination used in polish version of both games was wrong. There are some phrases in Avowed like reference to one popular polish commedy film and the phrase itself is "zrobić (komuś z dupy) jesień średniowiecza" which originally was a reference to Johan Huizinga's "The Waning of the Middle Ages". It was used in a film in specific context (dealing with someone with very ultimate way). Now one NPC outside governor's manor in Fior mes Iverno is talking about "middle ages"... in Eora. I remember one banter in the camp when someone compared Giatta to a cipher, but it was translated in a way pointing that Giatta likes riddles, because cipher in polish PoE was translated as "enigmatyk" which means something like "mysterious", but tranlsation in Avowed took "cipher" literally and put it in a context about liking riddles. There are huge mistakes in many documents and other lore pieces, where some part of text look like it was translated in wrong context, some of these texts look like they were translated via AI tools. I noticed there were only 3 people in polish localisation QA (many more in different languages) and every polish reviewer is pointing out this stuff.

  28. Was thinking more about Avowed last night It's weird. On the one hand I can't wait to continue playing it, but on the other hand I'm a little put off by how much a "checklist" my playstyle has been yesterday. Like, I just ran up and down the map to collect items from chests while destroying some awfully generic mobs that were conveniently placed in obvious locations. This kinda makes the world feel... unalive? Hope that this will improve later, but I somewhat feel like this is what the game is. On the plus side, I got my first unique pistol, which is really cool. Also the Arquebus is super cool-- but the reload looks dorky, with my hands flying like a magician it's like I have 3 hands.

  30. Ok, my small Balance Polishing Mod for Pillars of Eternity 1 has just been published on Nexus : Small Balance Polishing Mod at Pillars of Eternity Nexus - Mods and community Be aware this is still initial realease. Any feedback would be appreciated. It is way less ambitious than PoE2 BPM (modding PoE1 is much more difficult), but it should at least "fix" Rogues, racials and provide a bit more variety for semi-optimal party compositions.

  31. Idk, while the fast pace is nice for a change, to me this is now going at break neck speed and seems like it's skipping on a lot of the finer story points. On one hand it feels like we are missing out on a lot, but on the other I can see where the plot is going without having to go back 10 chapters. If I could describe it best it just seems like panels are missing in between plot points. As far as the story, major hype for me. I think Guts is going to be emo for a bit yet, at least until Schierke comes back with info regarding Casca to rouse him. The less likely option is that the prince is somehow going to rouse him.
