You can check this sources, a part from wiki: text books in game (you can find them in the wiki); description of magic items related to orlans (also reported in the wiki); game dialogues in game (you can find them in metadata game files); reddit users have done some descriptions too, i.e.: https://www.reddit.com/r/avowed/comments/q63qaj/the_world_of_avowed_eora_lore_orlans/?rdt=51429 notable characters background (in game and in the wiki); posts from developers in this forums; blog entries; posts/podcasts/interview from developer in socials and/or other websites (I know they exist by you have to find them); "World of Eora" podcasts (you can find links in this forum; I don't know if they are canical and/or accurate anyway); maybe there are some information in "Lords of the Eastern Reach" website/forum; pen-and-paper PoE RPG: perhaps in the alpha release guide: https://d1079ywfijtdjs.cloudfront.net/deadfire/media/downloads/eternity-pen-and-paper-guide--alpha.pdf. A part of the above, nothing other comes to my mind now3 points

the wiki seems deficient. there's supplemental books to both poe1 and poe2 that were part of backer content, maybe you can find pdfs, that can lend more insight into the lore. there's also additional lore dumps in-game. most notably, in FS, one of the "redacted" books you find talks about the orlan empire a tantlizingly brief bit (something like "they built an empire on compassion and for that they were punished")3 points

Yes, Trump's mental state is mostly okay. Of course. He is a stable genius after all. The most brilliant mind of the century. Ah, what am I talking about, he's the greatest thinker of the modern age. That half of the US population thinks that this moron with the intelligence of a lobotomized chimpanzee represents and embodies them is a scathing indictment of the US education system.3 points

If you want to stay bloodied (under 50%hp) as a berserker you will need Reckless Brigandine upgraded with Into the Breach - it gives armor bonus based on your health and you can always check your life that way. The rogue street fighter benefits also a lot from being bloodied and has great synergy with the berserker, if you decide to multiclass. PS. The best method to stay bloodied is to use potions (you can control their potency with alchemy) and the AI (when near death use automatically a heal potion) - and every time you go under 25% hp heal back restore just under 50% of your life.2 points

Ok I don't know where else to ask and I'm too shy to bother anyone by asking, so I'm just putting it where I can, I hope for your understanding. Maybe I'm just stupid, but after spending many hours in PoE I haven't found (in my opinion) enough lore regarding orlans. They are too much in my heart, and I would like to hear something interesting. About clothing, life, in general lore of race beyond a short description. Where can I go with such a request? Can I somehow contact the developers? Or should I resign myself and just make up my own headcanon-lore for them...?1 point

Seeing your revised rankings honestly pretty reasonable given your criteria, I do think fighter is very good in a lot of multiclasses, though depending on how you look at it it's mediocre performance single-classed might bring it down but then the same could be said for chanter which is amazing multiclassed but doesn't really get enough for going single-classed (the dragon is really cool though).1 point

Unfortunately, New Vegas is there to show that there can be a decent RPG build using FO3 structure and tools. Not that FO3 is without any merit - it just isn’t quite there. Both in content quality and system design. PS. Anyway Fallout3 is Garbage and Here is Why1 point

There are a few bits and pieces here and there if you're really looking, for example in the Pillars of Eternity Guidebook's section on Hylea: "Artists and poets often keep birds in their homes, hoping that the goddess will whisper to them in their sleep. Among the wild orlans, though, creative inspiration is seen not as a gift but as something to be stolen from the goddess. Their poets and singers organize hunts in the deep forest, seeking the rarest and most colorful birds, which are then slain and eaten. To eat of the goddess’s flesh is the only way to capture her divine creative spark, in their view. Accordingly, the Sky-Mother has no clergy among the wild orlans, and childbirth is said to be particularly painful and difficult for their kind."1 point

I think that was the worst debate I've ever seen, and all debates are at least a little bad. There's something funny about Biden being unable to finish a sentence without crashing and then Trump going off about how "Michigan is sinking because millions and millions of Mexicans crossed our border to poke holes in the ground, when I was president we had the best soil in the history of the world, never been anything like it" in response to a question about childcare affordability, but the same bit repeating every couple of minutes for two hours was goddamn insufferable. Look I knew this would be an absolute ****show but I've got to say I'm honestly shocked at how badly this went. There is no doubt that Trump will be largely unaffected by his performance, the people supporting him either believe his horse**** or don't care. As of now we're seeing the dems go into panic over Biden's dismal performance here, but I've got to say that I do not think putting in a younger less gaffe prone candidate is going to pull them out even if they do muster the political will. The fact is the dems are supporting at least one thing that is underwater in popularity with their base and have burned Muslim and younger voters before this debate. But not only did Joe manage to not show a drop of sympathy toward 40000 dead he just stood as Trump used Palestinian as a slur and did nothing. The dems seem like they'd rather lose "the election for democracy - part 2" than even reconsider any positions, and that is probably going to cost them the election. We truly live in the hell timeline of the mirror universe.1 point

If we stop being outraged by the things Trump says we let him shift what acceptable discourse is, and that is not a good idea. We can see that with the Austrian NSDAP offshoot, the FPÖ, where Herbert Kickl has been calling himself Volkskanzler for a year now. Their constant and unabashed Nazi-inspired discourse has pushed what is accaptable without outrage to the point where they can reuse Nazi terminology with nobody batting an eyelash.1 point

I completed Fallou3 after about 50 hours I enjoyed it but it had its weaknesses and its strengths. I think the biggest reason for much of both the fair and unfair criticism towards FO3 is because people understandably compare it to FO1&2 And thats a big mistake, you cannot do that because FO3 is so different. FO1&2 are excellent, iconic, isometric styled CRPG that literally set standards for post-apocalyptic games F03 is a first person\third person game with very different mechanics and it needs to be judged on that So what I didnt like about F03? The narrative was uninspiring, you want to find your father ....meh. But that also suited me because I tended to abandon the main quest and do side quests because I never felt any urgency to complete the main quest. And then the main quest ended in a very almost rushed way, I found the GECK and went back to the citadel ( @Gorth you were right, those children were very irritating at Lamplight cavern, I wished I had loaded the child killing mod ) and the Brotherhood of Steel said we must attack the Enclave with there giant robot Liberty Prime But Liberty Prime did all the fighting and I just ran behind it until we reached the Enclave ..and then you make a decision about who to sacrifice and thats it??? Game is over, very lacklustre ending Also I had some strange bugs like after Lamplight caverns I still couldnt use weapons in the Vault to get the GECK. The game is suppose to allow you to use weapons to kill mutants but the Child " non-killing" block wasnt removed so I had to use console cheats to kill every mutant which is very frustrating. Once I left Vault 87 I could use my weapons again Now what I liked about the game, its classic Bethesda open-world sandbox which Bethesda is renowned for and the game delivered on this. As I mentioned I loved randomly exploring and doing side quests like the Wasteland Guide. There were lots of interesting places to visit like the Oasis with the strange tree mutant Then the economy was well done, I never had enough caps for ammunition and weapons and that meant I had to constantly explore and find resources to sell which I enjoyed And then the game had some hilarious and memorable characters like Moira Brown and her comments and quests to get you to finish the Wasteland Guide and then Liberty Prime really made me laugh with his anti-Communist comments " "Death is a preferable alternative to communism." " , " Embrace democracy or you will be ERADICATED", " Communism detected on american soil. Lethal force engaged." Overall it gets a generous 60\100 on the world famous " BruceVC game rating system" and thats primarily because of the open world design which is always appreciated Im going to play Fallout:NV next and like F03 I have played it before but this time I will mod it properly and comprehensively and I am using this excellent modding guide as an initial reference but I will add more mods through MO2 https://vivanewvegas.moddinglinked.com/1 point

Well I just checked my party, and I think the rest of my team will provide enough statut effect. Wizard, Priest/monk, fighter, even the ranger pet can knockdown (but I'm not sure that's really an affliction that leads to sneak attack). I think It will be ok after all. As for Llengrath's Displaced Image, yes the deflection does not stack, but I'm only using it for the 30% deflection and reflection hit converted to graze. That's pretty good combined with riposte. Riposte has a chance to be triggered only on grazes and miss, so those 30% added grazes increases the chances and adds survivability. It's just a bit costy for what it does, it costs 2 guile when it should be only 1 imo. Maybe it costs 2 because of its effect pre nerf, but they nerfed the spell (used to be +25 deflection and 50% hit to grazes) but they migh have forgot to reduce the guile cost of trickster.1 point

Conversions can only change the attack result to next category once so you can't have Llengrath's Displaced Image convert a hit into a graze and then have that graze get turned into a miss by Adept Evasion, unfortunately. Since you mentioned you were worried about having too many spells needing to be cast, I just wanted to point out that Mirrored Image and Llengrath's Displaced Image are instant cast and have no recovery time so they at least won't be taking up too much of your casting time. I also wanted to point out that the +30 Deflection from Mirrored Image doesn't stack with the +10 Deflection from Llengrath's Displaced Image. If you have both running at the same time, you would only get +30 Deflection from Mirrored Image and and the reflex and hit-to-graze conversion from Llengrath's Displaced Image. Though if you keep getting hit and were down to just 1 Mirrored Image copy, then LDI's +10 Deflection would start kicking in. However, if you can get your Deflection to the point that you are untouchable (which really depends on game difficulty and how high you can stack Deflection with other bonuses), then Mirrored Image may be all you need and LDI would become redundant (other than the reflex bonus which is nice). So in that circumstance you could skip out on LDI if you wanted to save yourself some Guile. Sorry, I play mostly vanilla so I didn't realize that BPM changed Persistent Distraction. In that case, for your Deathblows activator, you might want to grab Secret Horrors. Frightened is a great status, and Secret Horrors also causes Sickened so you have two afflictions that activate Deathblows and target different attributes in case you come across enemies with Perception resistance and immunity. Secret Horrors is relatively cheap for its Focus cost considering it is an AoE with two afflictions, with Frightened having particularly nice synergy for a high Deflection build like discussed earlier. I realize that this might not be all that helpful to you since you're already trying to fit other abilities into your build, but it's something to consider.1 point

Single Class Berserker isn't that common because the Berserker Frenzy gives you Tenacious. It helps with a lot of offensive abilities (be it a damaging spell or weapon attack). Berserker also grants you a nice melee crot chance that can be combined with other classes "on crit" effects (for example Monk's Swift Flurry). Also the self damage of the Berserker tends to scale very steeply. Picking a multiclass that can counter the damage - or at least make the character more sturdy - are more popular than SC. But as @Elric Galad said Driving Roar or Dazing Shout are excellent. And they profit from the Berserker's Tenacious Frenzy, too. You really want high CON and a good healer in the party though. Also make sure to take Blooded. It works with every form of direct damage (so with Driving Roar etc., too) and it helps you to see when you are under 50% health. It also stacks with Humans' racial ability "Fighting Spirit". Human is a good choice for a Berserker because you will be under 50% health a lot and so Fighting Spirit will kick in a lot, too. A Berserker under 50% health with Blooded and Fighting Spirit will deal really nasty AoE damage with Driving Roar. Those shouts do target the enemies' fortitude defense. So imo it's beneficial to take Spirit Frenzy over Blood Frenzy. Spirit Frenzy will daze on any hit (Driving Shout included) and that means -10 fortitude for the enemy. Makes the following shouts a lot easier to hit. Here's a test with Serafen as Barb at level 20 with Driving Roar (and Blood Thirsty as well as the Blood Surge ability to regain some Rage after kills):1 point

So, yes I have acknowledged that Whispers of the Endless Paths would be perfect for my build but I think I will still gear my character how I planned for now. I don't mind not having something 100% optimal, I try to make the best I can by still following my idea of the character. I managed to finish the game with an assassin that what really bad, I barely never used the assassin abilities as I was not a fan of how much ressources it was eating, and so I played it with the assassin con penalty, but none of its advantages, he died a lot. This run is kinda my revenge on this, this time, good luck for killing him ! at least I hop so... But thanks for all the advices, it shows that this game has so many possibilities, and your reactions and enthousiastic ideas here prove it, I'm happy if it can inspire other peole, thank you. I think I will follow your advice and drop Echoing horror for adept evasion. Not sure if it is really better, but it follows more the idead of the build, and Echoing horror might be a bit too situationnal. I will wait before deciding if I sacrifice something else for Psychovampiric Shield. On top of replacing another skills, I'm worry my rogue would have too many spells to cast, and too much focus needed: Borrowed Instinct, Mirror Image, Llengrath's Displaced Image, Eyestrike, watcher ability for int brillance aspiration to get ressource back. So I'll try without it for now, and in case I really need the resolve inspiration I'll still get the one from the peer rest watcher ability... My main affliction will be a perception one, which will be an issue against immune ennemies. I got the might and dexterity ones for a short duration from the trickster spells (Arkemyr's Dazzling Lights and Gaze of the Adragan), the frightened from the watcher ability peer rest and that's it, or rely on allies. I still prefer to pick Confounding Blind over Crippling Strike. And since I use BPM mod, I really need to inflict 2 affliction to get the deathblow sneak attack bonus (persistant distraction only lower defenses now, it does not inflicts 2 conditions anymore). That's the weakness of the character. I wonder something though: do you know if Llengrath's Displaced Image and adept evasion stack ? The first make 30% of hit become grazes against reflex, and the second makes 100% of grazes become miss. Do those 30% of hits converted to grazes then become miss as well if you have both the abilities ? Or still grazes ? Would be a bit too good to be true imo.1 point

Oh, I don't think Druid vs Fighter has to be discussed again (even if once more, I have concern with Unbending reliance on ressource pool which is a concern in some fights... unless playng tactician of course. Tactician is not only a great multiclass but also fix the main weakness of the main fighter asset STOP ) Paladin in the bottom tier, I have issues about this one cause I haven't much discussed. Paladin has great tanking. Inferior to fighter, but totally independant from ressource pool and starting at lvl1 (Stoic Steel is almost broken good). Paladin is a good healer, arguably above Priest cause LoH and instant resurrection are really convenient. Auras are less varied but in the same league as Chanter. Paladin main issue is that the active ability above tier 1 are meh, so I won't see it above Bread n Butter. But it's definitely a great multiclass. Herald is above the greatest "classic" multiclass. And it does most of its tanking and support without even requiring any action and limited ressources. Half a slot for tanking + healing + support isn't niche IMHO. I have never read Paladin seriously qualified as bottom tier class. Note that I don't have that much time right now to get involved in some video cause I'm about to house move .1 point
