The move is to sign up for Ubi+ then to cancel your subscription before the month is up (or whenever you get done with the game), then you get the ultimate edition at the far less ludicrous price of $18. You just have to remember to cancel your subscription (supposedly it's quite easy), Ubi is counting on you to forget.3 points

Well, Star Wars fan completely died in me with the latest trilogy (I liked part 7 and Rogue One though). IMHO Disney started an excellent idea with the Stormtrooper clone gaining free will, and could have done a lot to expand that idea, but they turned him into a non-entity and completely buried his plot. Seems like their Chinese audience were not to fond of black main protagonist So no, nostalgia is kicking only when I launch GOG launcher and see KOTOR 1 and 2 on my "digital shelf".2 points

"The Top 10 Reasons I left gaming and became a withered husk of my former self - number 3 will surprise you!" Maybe break it into parts and pitch each part? Nothing in Fio's post indicates you couldn't have multiple bites at the blog (cue Fio clarification). Based on Fio's wording, I think they'd want a blog post to tie into Obsidian's games in some way.2 points

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/broken-roads-review https://www.gog.com/en/game/broken_roads https://store.steampowered.com/app/1403440/Broken_Roads/ Not yet available on GOG. The game looks interesting enough, but I assume that waiting for at least 6 months would be a reasonable course of action. I do not like the setting that much to purchase right now and let the game sit in the backlog.2 points

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/developer-diary/stellaris-dev-diary-340-a-new-crisis-a-release-date-and-announcing-the-stellaris-season-08.1662209/ Paradox is now offering season passes for Stellaris, meaning you get all the DLCs of the year for cheaper on a single buy. Good deal if you're like me and going to buy it anyway. Link also has some details on all the upcoming DLCs.1 point

This is an accurate view of Hogwarts, there is no real choice and consequence except for the end of some side quests where you have an option to not return the item that you were sent on the quest to find in the first place. It seemed a bit silly that type of choice and I dont think there were any consequence for not returning the item1 point

it's made by Massive, so just like The Division and Avatar, it will be technically superb but mediocre in all other aspects.1 point

I mean, I still think Star Destroyers are cool looking, if that is what you mean. I figure I'm one of the resident SW fans here, even though I haven't gotten around to watching Ahsoka, or most of the animated stuff, or played any recent SW games. But I typically enjoy stuff when I see it. There was some neat nostalgia stuff in the last season of Mandalorian, and that is the last thing I watched, so I guess I can still get it up for the old bird if I need too. This game looks fun to me, in the same way most Ubisoft games are fun for 20 hours or so. I'll probably pick it up on sale.1 point

No sense of nostalgia surfaced during that trailer at the very least, barely a mild curiosity, but a Star Wars game from Ubisoft sounds like a nightmare come true, even though the premise is likeable. Edit; Oh, wow, skeezy ubi**** is literally paywalling exclusive content to be released at launch, at a 110usd, **** 'em1 point

Hello friends, I just want to clarify that this invitation is directed to you as members of the community. This is (y)our chance to share (y)our unique gaming experiences. We’re eagerly looking for contributors to pitch their ideas and, once approved, to craft an article that reflects your passion for gaming. Don’t worry about the editing (if that is a concern); send your draft my way, and I’ll take care of polishing it for you. As well, the blog might be a vlog, maybe even a brief podcast as outlined in the announcement. We’re excited to feature a new blog post on the 7th of each month, starting with our inaugural post on May 7th. Your feedback and discussions have been incredibly valuable, and I look forward to highlighting the community's first submission. Please do reach out as you consider this invitation here or through PM1 point

If it is fundamental enough, then of course it can be. See, for instance, I would never vote for a libertarian, even if I would agree with every other stance that person had. On the other hand, if there would be a candidate who realizes that class warfare is not magically over just because the Soviet Union dissolved, but who would be to oppose legalization of cannabis, then that would be an issue I could live without. It is just not important enough.1 point

Fear & Hunger, little indie horror RPG where horror seems to be tailored for my tastes. Creepy art, creepy disturbing soundscape, grotesque monstrosities, dungeons you can practically smell, so much to love It's also laughably unfair ("Hey hero, pick your traits. You wanna fast movement or tripper?") and unforgiving, which by itself wouldn't be too bad, but combine it with extra stingy save system and horror gets diluted with one of the most unfun things to experience, tedium. So after first twenty or so assortedly amusing deaths I installed 99 saves mod and can finally experience my atmospheric horror in nice short pieces before bedtime if I wish so. With its Wiki open though, because it doesn't explain mechanics and what are all these things in inventory either.1 point

Tried my hand at making some variants of vanilla portraits. Edited the watercolors to match the unused "female_godlike_earth_c" variants by Polina Hristova 1. I bumped up the colors a bit and changed the background to be more like the purple seen in his Deadfire portrait. Very subtle changes but brings it closer to how Deadfire portraits looks imo. 2. Think I have hit my limit as far working around this portrait.1 point

Is it fixed now? I had bizarre login issues last night, tried to post a few times, issues prevented me, figured it would be fixed later, whatever it was. Glad it was. Good work. That said, I was amused when the entire thread was inserted into the "reply/make a post" box.0 points
