1. Wouldn't the right thing to do be to wear a chainmail bikini yourself? You know, for solidarity. I expect photographic evidence of your support for gender equality. And now for something completely different... It has come to my attention that the new Prince of Persia is a metroidvania, and supposedly a rather good one. When it was announced I paid no attention and immediately moved on, which is on me. In my defense, Ubisoft has conditioned me to expect a specific type of game, on account of the fact that they've been making essentially the same exact game, albeit with a different coat of paint, over and over and over and over and over again for well over a decade. Now I'm suddenly interested. Some of my favorite games ever are metroidvanias. Games like Super Metroid, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, and La-Mulana 2, just to name a few. If the new PoP is as good as rumored, I'll definitely play it at some point.

 2. I finally finished up a complete play-through Deadfire. It was a more enjoyable experience this time since I didn't prioritize chasing Eothas and just went where the story took me. Now I'm off to do the same with P:WotR. Yeah, it's almost retro gaming at this point.

 5. It's great. If you go Berserker/Bellower and "accidentally" kill your own Many-Lives-Skeletons you'll trigger Blood Thirst (not working for reloading but invocations' recovery), Bloodlust, +1 Phrase (Blightheart), Blood Storm duration bonus and healing from heal-on-kill pet (self and/or party-wide effect). Also healing from Triumph of the Crusaders will trigger - should you have a Priest with that spell in the party. Makes the Berserker/Bellower almost unkillable if done right. If you have a SC Paladin then you'll get +2 Zeal per dead skeleton at PL9 (Devine Retribution). Btw.: Confusion doesn't affect the friend-or-foe mechanic of chants - fortunately! Doesn't matter with Many Lives anyway - but until then you might want to use other chants and feared the Confusion of Frenzy would make a huge mess - but it doesn't.

 7. The nice thing about the troubadour/psion mix is that you can rapidly generate resources on both sides, and pretty much alternate casting between the classes. Bellowers regenerate phrases more slowly, but hit with greater oomph. Personally, I prefer multi classing bellower with melee classes, such as barbarian or monk. Probably the best combo is a bellower/barbarian (berserker, mage slayer or fury shaper), wielding Blightheart, which gives you +1 phrase per kill, dramatically increasing your phrase regeneration, while the Barbarian gives you faster speed due to Bloodlust and Bloodthirst. You can really crank out devastating invocations with this build.

 8. Yes, but because of Sweden 700 year rule over Finland and first converting Finns to Christianity through three crusades and then converting them to Lutheranism and ordering creation of written language for Finnish in order to steal Catholic church money for their Gustav Wasa's funds, Sweden and Finland have formed much closer cultural ties than Finland and Estonia. Also Finland's ties to Denmark, Norway and Iceland are closer because first Denmark ruled all Nordic countries during Kalmar union and then Sweden took over and ruled most of the Nordics. What little of Finno-Ugric past there was left was saved by Swedish speaking Finns Elias Lönnrot, Johan Runeberg and Johan Snellman when they were forefront of united meaning of Finnishness in 1800s. Also in Geographical sense part of Finland belongs in Scandinavian Peninsula, so technically we Finland is part of Scandinavia, although generally we don't count us as part of Scandinavia even if Finland's highest points Halti and Saana fells are part of Scandinavian mountains.

 10. Greetings Watchers, patch 1.3.7.1411 is live to all players! Please let us know if you run into any issues during your time with this updated version of the game. https://support.obsidian.net/contact The player log file has been moved by Unity and it can be found in the following location: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity It has been renamed player.log You can also opt out of this current update by using the Legacy branch in Steam. In your Steam Library Right click on Pillars of Eternity, and select "Properties" Select the "Beta" Tab, and click the Drop Down for labeled "NONE - Select "legacy - Legacy build 1.3.7.1356" Close the Window, and you should have a download ready. Fixed an issue where backer rewards would appear or unlock incorrectly. Also fixed a case where backer rewards might not unlock at all for users in the public beta. Corrected save file location for the public beta (You should no longer need to move save files into a _Local_ directory for them to show up correctly). Fixed an issue that prevented POE1 saves from being imported to POE2 after the last patch. If you possess a save game that could not be imported, loading and re-saving should correct the issue. Fixed an issue that caused some users to receive DLC content and/or backer items without having proper access to them. If you possess a save game that will not load on 3.7.1.1411 or later, due to it being created with DLC you did not purchase, please send us a support ticket along with your GOG or Steam username and a copy of a save game that has the issue (if multiple saves are affected, you only need to send 1 so we can verify). This issue did not affect users on Game Pass or Epic. Removed duplicate unused asset bundle files that artificially increased installation size. Navigation: Fixed areas that could not be navigated in numerous scenes. The lake in Cayron's Scar should no longer be unintentionally traversable when submerged. Fixed some cases where NPCs would become stuck when pathing during cutscenes. Fixed some cases where NPCs would walk or run in place during cutscenes. Fixed a handful of doors throughout various scenes that could be walked through due to lacking proper collision. Visual and Audio: Fixed multiple cases where characters might T-Pose briefly at the beginning of a cutscene. Fixed an issue where paperdolls in character creation and inventory screens might appear blurry. Overwhelming Wave should more reliably play its visual effects. Fixed VFX issues with the Woodskin spell rotating or attaching incorrectly. Symbols western chamber of Lle a Rhemen should now properly light up when expected. Fixed redundant horn audio playing after the battle of Yenwood. Fixed an issue where attempting to open locked containers could play multiple voice lines at once. Fixed a handful of cases where dialogue audio wouldn’t play when certain nodes were re-triggered. VFX will no longer become displaced when a character teleports or uses a movement ability. Unstrung Bow’s visuals will now properly appear on the ground when discovered. Soul Whip VFX are no longer lost on save/load or transitions. Penetrating Shot, Vulnerable Attack, Savage Attack, and similar VFX should no longer be lost on save/load or transitions. Released soul VFX in Sun in Shadow should now display correctly. Fixed an issue with Ninagauth’s Freezing Pillar VFX overlapping other visuals. Gafonercos will remain correctly positioned after completing certain attacks. Potion of Fleet Feet now properly plays a drinking animation. Reading from scrolls and rites will now position the scroll correctly in the reader’s hands. Fixed an issue that would cause water VFX to display improperly in certain areas. Fixed an issue where spoken dialogue was being unintentionally affected by reverberation. Quests and Dialogue: Ready the Cannons side quest should now properly update its objectives. Dialogue from Buried Secrets quest should no longer allow the player to demand their payment more than once. Fixed an issue where multiple barked lines in Gilded Vale could overlap excessively. Fixed an issue where Eder’s bark lines in the Temple of Eothas may end abruptly. Fixed a case where Calisca could trigger the wrong bark line near the camp inside Cilant Lîs. Fixed bark lines in Defiance Bay cutting short after their first line. Crag Ogres in Flames-That-Whisper Cavern should now more reliably play their banter on approach. Prisoners in Icantha’s house should no longer respawn in certain cases after save/load. Combat and Mechanics: Earth Blights should no longer sometimes detach from their selection circles when dominated. Scroll of Ray of Fire should now appear correctly and more accurately match the behavior of the Ray of Fire spell. Fixed a case where manually resolving stronghold combat could sometimes yield no rewards. Fixed a case where prone characters might try to move while prone, resulting in sliding behavior. Concelhaut’s Draining Missiles should no longer occasionally show 0.0 damage in the combat log. Weapon Specialization: Peasant should now reliably add its damage to unarmed attacks. Fixed some cases where the Halt spell might confuse enemy AI, causing them to repeatedly interrupt and re-attempt their own actions. Removed errant untargetable Xaurip that could sometimes appear in Dyrford Crossing. Fixed a case where Sleafhota might teleport to an alternate location mid-dialogue before attacking the player. Attacking Osrya directly will now reliably engage with her revenant and skeleton minions. Fixed a case where all survival camping bonuses might appear after spending only a single skill rank on Survival. One-Eyed Molina’s Gold-Fingered Spike-Flinger’s last two soulbound upgrades now increase Reload Speed instead of decreasing it. Deadfire Pack’s soulbound weapons now have the Universal weapon group. Fixed an issue with status effects from old saves duplicating when loaded on newer builds. Battle-Forged Godlike racial ability should no longer trigger a hit on the owner when non-hostile abilities are used (E.g. Second Wind). Caedebald’s Blackbow and Llengrath’s Blunt Wisdom are now of the universal weapon type. Stalker’s Torc item should now apply and display its effects correctly. Psychic and Brutal Backlash now correctly respect their per encounter rules. St. Ydwen’s Redeemer no longer displays “Destroys Vessels” activations in the combat log when not fighting a vessel. Scroll of Minoletta’s Minor Missiles will now better match the effects of the origin spell. User Interface and Interaction: Fixed a UI issue where chants could sometimes clip beyond their scrolling frame. Fixed a case where the damage type icon on the character sheet might not position correctly. Fixed some cases where assigning companions to multiple stronghold missions at once might cause UI issues. Quick loading with the crafting or enchanting UI open should no longer result in a permanent black screen. Fixed a typo in the description of Animal Companions. Fixed an issue where highlighting certain parts of a defeated enemy would not allow you to loot them. Doors in some scenes that were difficult to interact with have had their collision revised and should now be more reliable. Fixed a case where the final pressure plate in the Temple of Woedica would not appear. Examining the wall trophy inside of Elm’s Reach should now be possible. Skipping intros when first starting the client should now be more responsive. Fixed accuracy tooltips not appearing on the character sheet. Interactable tree in the Abbey of the Fallen Moon now can be interacted with properly. Fixed a bug preventing interactable highlights from appearing after opening the map. Fixed an issue that caused tooltips to sometimes shake in the UI. Fixed incorrect version numbers across different platforms. They should all match now and increment correctly. Known Issues: Some users have reported crashing on 32-bit operating systems. While 32-bit operating systems fall below our minimum requirements, users that had better luck on 3.4.0.1318 will find a Legacy branch available Steam/GOG which may yield better results. Some users on GOG have reported a black screen on startup. This is being investigated, but disabling the Galaxy overlay appears to be a temporary solution. This update is currently unavailable for OSX & Linux. We are investigating bringing these platforms up to speed as part of a future patch. The feedback from the community surrounding this release has been wonderful. Thank you all for the continued support!

 13. Hmmm, aside of horrid music choices I thought that much was clear since the game was revealed. but yes it is a metroidvania - drawing inspirations from all the greatest hits - like Hollow Knight like charm system. Platforming and combat are very responsive with a good potential to grow. It seems fresh while paying homage to both original Pop and its later sands of time reboot. There is demo if you want to see for yourself.

 14. Looking over the files, the Basic mod does add some new text entries to the game. (these are known as "strings"). These are stored in the files ending in ".stringtable". Which are found in "CommunityPatchBasic"->"localized"->"en"*->"text". There 3 files that the "Basics" mod makes additions to: abilities.stringtable (Contains "17" strings of text) gui.stringtable (Contains "4" strings of text) statuseffects.stringtable (Contains "10" strings text) *The folder for each language is a 2 letter folder. E.g. "en" = English, "de" = Deutsch. Actually getting a translation in game is pretty simple, and really the hard part is in translating the text. You can look at some of the translations already in the mod for examples. But you can setup the French localisation folder in the mod pretty simply by: Opening the "CommunityPatchBasic" folder. Navigating to "localized". Copy & Paste the "en" folder to create a duplicate of that folder. Rename the duplicate "en" folder to "fr". Which is the 2 letter folder code for French text. Navigate from fr->text->game open a .stringtable file in notepad (or your code editor of choice). Translate every instance of text between <DefaultText> and </DefaultText> Save your changes. Repeat for all instances. An example using Google translate on the "gui.stringtable" : <StringTableFile xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<Entries>

</Entries> </StringTableFile> Once you are done you could send it to MaxQuest to include in an update, or post it yourself to Nexus mods as a "Translation" .

 16. our jae was dual wield deadly... until the most recent patch. we were having her use overcharging plasma pistols which were great as long as party members stayed a square distant. gunslinger jae were almost as effective as our argenta sniper for dps. 'course now jae is as likely to self immolate as kill heretics and xenos. *sad face* am gonna have difficulty doing anything but sniper for argenta in future runs as she makes early game encounters a breeze, and early game is, as is typical for crpgs, the most challenging content. quit on our officer and started over with a dogmatic, fortress world, ministorum priest leaning hard into flame weapons. is kinda over-the-top fun, but am definite doing iconoclast next so am able to keep a few more party members alive past the early portions o' the game. HA! Good Fun!

 19. Version 2.6.1 available. Hanging Sepulchers level fix and Vengeful Defeat rework (as a Tier 8 ability, this one was kind of critical for SC Barbs, hence the quick release). Vengeful Defeat : add 2 Rages on Unconscious <Version 2.6.1> Removed due to rework. <Version 2.0> Now attacks have their Accuracy, PEN and damages scaling with Power Level, as for Heart of Fury. <Version 2.6.1> In addition to existing effect, the barbarian now regenerates 1 rage per 30s when injuried. Vengeful Defeat should be way easier to use, so all Single Class Martial have a reliable source of (slow) ressource regeneration. 22.

 24. The main problem with any 'they let it happen' theories is that we don't really know the circumstantial context. If Hamas were actively obfuscating things you'd get complacency setting in from a series of (deliberate) false alarms. We don't know how often Egyptian intelligence warns Israel of stuff that doesn't eventuate, we don't know if Hamas ran a bunch of fake comms spikes or whether they'd regularly switch up drills or scout out the border fence. We only know all those things happened before October 7. I find it pretty hard to believe that Netanyahu knew beforehand. Don't get me wrong: he's clearly 100% capable of letting his own people die to further his own ends, especially those who probably wouldn't be voting for him anyway. On October 6th he didn't really need to do anything like that though, certainly nothing to justify the risk of things going wrong. Now, he's politically dead he just hasn't stopped breathing yet. That more than anything is why he's desperate to keep the fighting going for months or longer- the precedent was set 50 years almost to the day earlier by Golda Meir. The circumstances under which he would have known beforehand would have been specific and require a hefty dose of collusion from multiple agencies, not all of which are friendly to him.

 25. I finished Bookwalker. It is a rather short game, just about 7 hours. As it is isometric I would call it more a point and click adventure game than a visual novel (I have seen people liken it to VNs in reviews). The combat is definitely the weakest aspect of the game and win or lose doesn't really matter. The game only has one ending, so the choices in the books you walk through do not truly matter. But the ending is kinda sweet. Thoroughly enjoyed the game and do recommend it.

 27. My House Redoran duties have taken me to the quaint fishing village of Ald Velothi in the northernmost part of West Gash. Not the most beautiful day, but I can't control the weather and who knows when I'll visit a location this remote again, so I might as well take a picture from the top of the watchtower. My base of operations for the forseeable future, as a member of House Redoran, Ald'ruhn, as taken from the silt strider platform:

 28. Necro myself to say some of OP is wrong the "base" damage of the corrode/crushing attack is affected by PL and not MIG, so it's more like 12-18 at max level. Other bonuses that weapon damage normally gets are applied multiplicatively on top of it. IA don't graze or crit. If the weapon attack is at least graze then IA is always a normal hit. Adding up the 5-7 weapon attack it's effectively 17-25 dmg, and loses very little when grazes. When used for dual wielding or 1H + Rushed Reload, the damage and speed is very comparable to melee 2H weapons with the superiority of reloading instead of recovery. The damage is also higher than standard 2H ranged weapons and reloads faster. All things considered it's simply one of the best ranged weapons out there, especially useful when enemies have high defenses.

 29. I finished Starfield and have zero desire to do NG+ any time soon (possibly ever), so, after a break of a couple of months playing The Talos Principle 2 and Starfield, I'm back to Morrowind. Usually when I put a game down, the chances of me returning to it after a prolonged period of time are pretty low, but with Morrowind the chances are nearly 100% because it's a game I dearly love and it's still a joy to play, cliff racers notwithstanding. I even had perfect memory of where I left off, again, because I love the game and it stays in my mind. Oh Bethesda, you were really great once upon a time. Anyway, I'm still relatively early in the game. I recently joined House Redoran and I'm doing busy work for them to increase my rank. While on the way back from an assignment, I made the mistake of agreeing to escort this haughty c**t to the Ghostgate shrine and it was cliff racer central on the way, and all for a measly 100 gold. Then I had to hoof it back through more cliff racers to get to Ald'ruhn again. That's what I get for being a nice guy. I have 2 weeks until Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth comes out. I doubt I'll beat Morrowind by then, but who knows?

 30. Just want to say my appreciation again, as I didn't realize it is possible to perma-CC Dorudugan at all before reading this post for the first time. My party didn't have a constant source of STR/CON affliction, so my Tactician/Illusionist was looking at 180-155. Conquerer Stance and an affliction are identical, so it's possible to do this with literally any druid or wizard watcher, SC or MC, with no rest bonuses and siding with Rymrgand. Even Maia has enough ACC, although because Gaze of Adragon has a shorter duration and she has only 10 INT I doubt it can work in practice. Psychovampiric Shield is almost good enough for Dorugudan. I was using SC Serafen, who lacks any optimization. With Miscreant's Leathers and Eccea's Arcane Blaster he could generate just enough focus for Borrowed Instinct and Psychovampiric Shield, nothing more. It would be a trouble if I needed Ancestor's Memory from him

 31. Dread Delusion It's still in early access and far from complete, so I just pop in periodically to see how it's doing. I'll start from the beginning when it fully releases, whenever that is. Still, it gives me the warm and fuzzy Morrowind vibes, on account of how weird and alien the world looks, it's worth it to me for that alone.

 32. Sure, you don't want porn mods popping up in a live streaming tournament that 8 year old little Billy might be watching and OH NO little Billy saw boobies now he's scarred for life or whatever. Won't someone think of the children!? /clutches at pearls I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there were no live streaming Resi: Revelations tournaments in 2023 and there won't be any going forward. Furthermore, the 160ish people still actively playing this 11 year old game are almost certainly the most dedicated and hardcore of hardcore fans of this game and they almost certainly all know each other by now. They can hash this out by themselves thusly: ChrisPunchBoulder762 - "Hey xXxA$$MASTURxXx, you mind not running that nude Rachel mod for this session? I find it distracting to see her running around with her milkers out." xXxA$$MASTURxXx - "Yeah, my bad. Hang on, I'll disable the mod and log back in, give me 30 seconds." Problem solved. Side-note: Rachel already has her milkers out in the vanilla game so when Capcom is accusing people of inappropriate character models they should first look in the mirror. Seriously, this is her in the game sans mods:
