Feel free to try it though, but make a mistake opening one of those cans and you will ruin your home for months to come. You would also be lucky to get one of those cans, since Swedens bass ackwards fishing policies we've overfished like crazy. I read that a can can go for upwards of 250$ on some trading sites.2 points

I am about 25 hours into Fallout 1 and just had an epic battle to free Tandi from the Khans and its an example of why I love this type of CRPG and combat mechanics . It was chaotic and frenetic and I needed to restore several times because I got killed about 5 times before defeating the Khans and freeing her. Also there are several strategies you can use but this was mine I was level 7 with Ian, Dogmeat and Katja in my party. You would assume having companions would always be a combat benefit but they dont always fight logically and sometimes draw aggro outside of my plans or what I instruct them to do. But they still good to use I defeated the Khans outside the tents first using my AK and very useful plasma pistol Then Ian decided to run into the main building by himself while we were fighting outside, he was eventually killed but his sacrifice will he remembered because he seemed to distract most of the main mobs inside the building and they didnt come outside I then used grenades and my AK to defeat the main enemies inside with Dogmeat playing a huge part of the success I found loads of loot and items to sell which is appreciated because I am constantly short of money. But then I had to be selective and leave lots of stuff behind. But the reality of inventory limitation is something I like because it adds to realism and immersion. Now I have finally upgraded my armour And I was down to 4 hp with no Stimpacks when the last Khan died, literally on my last legs of survival. But fun battle and very strategic2 points

This thread is decidedly more fun when nobody is on topic. Best thing to come out of Portugal: https://nuriartisanalsardine.com/produtos/?lang=en Feel free to disagree, but know that you're wrong. Tuna pizza is probably a staple everywhere, I think. Nothing wrong with that, although I prefer pasta with tuna, which is fantastic and easy to do. That doesn't count, mackerel in (tomato) sauce is great. Next to several cans of Nuri we always have some canned mackerel too. Generally don't put them on a sandwich though, usually just straight from the can with a kaiser roll or rye bread. Mackerels also make great Steckerlfische, don't let the silly purists tell you otherwise if you're ever in a place where you can get them.2 points

couldn't help but think what it would be if not french. korean: there would be extreme bullying and a revenge plot. japanese anime: would have no real plot but there would be at least one scene at the beach, and possible one at an onsen. the school cultural festival would figure prominent and one character would likely have an inexplicable pet 'bout which nobody would comment. german: the important aspect would be it would be black and white. there would also be a whole lotta symbolism fans o' the film would pretend to appreciate. polish: same as german but a whole lot darker. english: distilled, the movie would be ninety minutes o' uncomfortable shame and embarrassment... and that would be the comedy take on the subject matter. american: actors (likely pro models) too old to be high schoolers do their best to pretend being average american teens navigating cliques/heart ache/drugs/teen angst/etc. HA! Good Fun!2 points

Don't be silly, that'd never be our national dish, it's not rotten enough. That said, it's not unheard of with salmon on pizza here. I'd say the tomato sauce counts for ketchup Salmon is a bit expensive to have on pizza though, but tuna is pretty common. Mackerel in tomato sauce on a sandwich is nice though.2 points

Scumbag move to add Denuvo after the review embargo has been lifted, given that the vast majority of reviewers put out their review the instant the embargo lifts. Puts a bit of a damper on a game otherwise getting glowing reviews. In fact, this is the least positive review I've seen/read and it's still quite positive.1 point

There is still something weird for me when creating/editing quest objective nodes: I think the default 2 digits ID (e.g. 72) for the quest step title entry and the 5 digits ID (e.g. 10072) for the quest step description are somewhat swapped in Apotheosis , the one created is e.g. 72 but then the field editor seems to look for the 10072 quest step description field instead and an empty field is returned. So far I have added/tweaked the missing e.g. 10072 description field with a text editor but it would be nice to have it fixed in Apotheosis e.g. like this

<DefaultText>Complete the full Slayer path.</DefaultText> <FemaleText />

<DefaultText>Find all artifacts and win all fights for the Slayer path in Kazuwari Arena.</DefaultText> <FemaleText />
{EDIT] another thing that is not a bug, but could be nice to have: I noticed that the game seems to sort the in game quest steps list by string ids, so a way to automatically recalculate the ids from Apotheosis so they keep the sorting as displayed in the quest tree editor would be ace, at the moment you have to painstakingly renumber them with a text editor in the quest and strings tables to sort them1 point

Yes, that's all correct. It's annoying that characters still disappear from camp as if Orin revealed herself in camp.1 point

Replayed a part of Act 3 to see how much I could shorten the critical path. Not too much, there is quite a lot of railroading in that particular quest. The quest for Orin's McGuffin, observations: Overall, frustrating. Could be worse, of course, but it is still less flexible and more buggy than expected.1 point

This is a decent enough write up. The TL;DR is that Paxton tried to get Texas to pay a $3.3 million settlement to the whistleblowers, the house investigated him and found that he did that **** and more, and then impeached him based on what their investigation had found. Almost immediately it got turned from a question of Paxton's conduct into an ideological cluster****, with a laughable story that the impeachment happened because Dade Phelan was trying to get rid of Paxton on Joe Biden's/George Soros'/The Bush Dynasty's orders being peddled. Politics being what they are, it's not surprise that after the narrative becoming one of Paxton being persecuted by Democrats/RINOs that he was acquitted on party lines. It's going to be funny if Paxton ends up getting found guilty on the federal charges related to this case or as a result of the securities fraud trial he's been dodging for almost a decade, but frankly I was more surprised that he was impeached by the house in the first place. I'd bet both my vehicles that we're going to see a lot of the house Republicans who voted to impeach Paxton get primaried next year in retaliation for this. 2024 is looking to be awful.1 point

The bastard disappeared when I attacked. I reloaded to be on good terms and wait for a proper opportunity. Good to know, however I'm currently planning a Dark Urge pt with a drunk fighter. I saw a build on YouTube with a great mace that gives advantage while drunk and a ring that increases the alcoholic status to 5 turns. I'll probably pick a few Barbarian levels to throw people while enraged and the tavern brawler feat. Neither a hero nor a villain, just a drunk guy who might lose control depending on the situation. Ideally, someone will make a mod to extend the drunk status until short rest. There are plenty of bottles in the game, but I wanna play realistically and have the persuasion and dexterity penalties outside combat.1 point

That guy could solo a battle against all the demon lords together. Plus Iomedae and half the gods. If he is supposed to be that powerful, then at least make the other bosses stronger and set a progressive spike in difficulty. You are mistaken, this option doesn't exist. Nobody would kill Aivu, right?1 point

Although I'm playing as a good character, I'm already making a kill list. In the first case, I would have gladly chosen the traditional WotR "Die!" dialogue choice if there was one. Or give him a beating, if this was JoJo's Bizarre Adventures. He ran away and after I talked to Mizora I was hoping he was the person she was talking about, but obviously he wouldn't be one needing rescue. Anyway, I met him again near a mausoleum. I already pickpocketed him and he had nothing of value. I guess it's better to wait for the story to unfold and do it later, but since I just saved the game, I'll try to kill him now. I wonder if you can play a Dark Urge character that resists killing npcs but loses control when people cross a line. Might be interesting.1 point

Bethesda made Daggerfall/Morrowind in space rather than cater to the modern-day ADHD/Tik Tok crowd. I respect them for that.1 point

Patch roadmap: https://community.jaggedalliance.com/index/dev-diaries/devdiary-16-patch-roadmap-r21/ Bobby Ray's incoming! On the one hand, I've really missed the shop, on the other hand, my crew is already fully decked out and I don't really have any issues with crafting the ammo I need. Since I have almost unlimited amount of money now, I fear the shop will make the game even easier. That said, I do kinda miss the early game difficulty. Rolling with 2 squads of fully geared out mercs with high skills does make the game quite easy most of the time.1 point

Goodbye Port Olisar o7 Crusader, as seen from Port Olisar in 2018: More or less the same spot in 2023 at night: You'd come up to the pad after going up the stairs from this walkway: To be greeted by this view: Getting to your ship (an Aurora MR, aka "small starter ship") with Crusader in the "background": Nowadays you can actually fly down to the planet, to Cloud City Orison: Which looks especially amazing at night:1 point

This is at least the fifth time in a row Bethesda released a buggy piece of **** modders need to fix to become halfway stable. They will absolutely not bother fixing it because they know they'll still get sales from people counting on mods to fix it or those who have been conditioned to sadomasochistically enjoy a mediocre at best game that crashes every five minutes. If you're the later, just convince your significant other to step on you or something.1 point

GoG is great for many things but they don't have all the games I'm periodically interested in. You can, with SP, often (not 100%) avoid it on Steam by putting everything on "don't update until I launch", copy the entire install folder and anything in the appdata folders elsewhere, update, delete the install folder and copy the previous install folder back. But yeah, it's more of a PITA. Especially if you have to resort to that Steam depot stuff.0 points

Wow! I had the exact same experience during the ethnic violence of '83 in my old country when I was 16 years old. An armed mob showed up at our home looking for people of my ethnic group to kill. We barricaded the front door and I stood behind it (as a very scrawny 90lbs kid) holding one of those big ceremonial brass lamps from my religion, ready to bash at least one guy coming through the door before I was killed.0 points

mike williams died. on august 21 williams was doing electrical work at a construction site and suffered a head injury-- hit with a steel beam. on septmber 1, williams were hospitalized. after hospitalization, williams father had a gofundme page with a few details regarding his son's accident and medical situation. william's father were requesting monetary contributions so he could travel from texas to see his son who were hospitalized in tampa, florida. following his fourth round rookie contract, williams signed a $40 million deal with the bucs. $9 million guaranteed. none o' it actual matters, but of course we got questions 'bout the delay between the accident and hospitalization as well as why williams were doing electrical work after an nfl career which shoulda' seen him earn in excess o' $12 million dollars. maybe williams enjoyed electrical work and were doing for fun, but perhaps he had managed to lose his fortune. not enough info, but it sure sounds as if there were multiple tragedies at play in the untimely death o' mike williams.0 points
