There is Absolutely no way Ukraine did it, unless they wanted to turn their own southern lands into desert and incur billions more of damage on themselves, which is as stupid reason as it sounds. But for some reason, some people still choose to believe that bull**** UA was hammering Antonovskyi bridge with HIMARS for two months and all they achieved was few holes in it to hinder Russian logistics. There are dozens over dozens of photos of HIMARS strikes against the dam during Kherson offensive, and even the explosion fromRussian retreat over the dam, which Russia has shared to the world, but not a single photo from June 6 explosion. If they would exist, they will be already all over internet by Russian propaganda. Russia is controlling the Dam since spring 2022. Zelenskyi was asking international community to inspect the Dam since October as UA had intel about the dam being mined. Russian propaganda was bragging about laying mines inside of the Dam, one Russian propaganda channel has even published an interview with drunken Russian soldier, who was gloating how he was part of the mining team, and cheering that they will blow it up during winter. After the collapse of the dam, Russia has not made a single attempt on rescuing civilians on the left bank of Dnipro, and are continuously shelling the Ukraininas volunteers during their rescue operations. There is already an intercepted call of Russian soldiers speaking that Russian sabotage group was involved in this, because they wanted to blackmail UA again, but as always, they ****ed up, and caused bigger explosion as planned and caused havoc… It’s unbelievable, that after so much of evidence, some people are trying to perform all kind of mental gymnastics, to convince themselves, that it was Ukraine, who blew the dam up edit: not to mention, that Russia spent whole winter destroying heating and electricity to make whole country freeze, but NO, Russia would never attack the Dame to hurt civilians on such a large scale, right?5 points

I think hubby's been looking at the psoas, which is a bit more descriptive of his symptoms. At any rate, he's always been quite out-toed in stride (but not at all bow-legged) and it's probably been getting more pronounced over the years, especially left foot (left upper inner/butt thigh is one affected along with lower back). Habitually sits on one hip a lot probably, that sort of thing. At this point he probably could use something like a year with Forest Gump's leg braces or similar haha. He also has a reverse neck curve since probably birth (headaches) which likely affects posture/flexibility stuff. On the outside he looks/seem average/"normal" but structurally he's always been a little whack.1 point

1) The loss of the canals/ drinking water and irrigation effects pretty much only areas held by Russia. Once again, Russia brutalises Ukraine by... punching itself in the face, eh? 2) The Russians evacuated all the civilians on their side earlier once they made the banks a closed military zone, so they don't have (m)any to evacuate. 2a) Which might look suspicious, except they built their defences in those areas, and those defences now don't exist and a lot of their soldiers got caught in the flooding. You'd think they'd build their defences back a bit, eh. 3) Empty canals are a lot easier to bridge for Ukraine, should their offensive go well, and indeed may not even need bridging at all once empty. 4) The drained reservoir will be easier for Ukraine to cross to the north, after a while 5) The lower Dniepr will be safer to cross too, since it cannot be flooded again with the dam gone. And very much unlike if the dam was still there There are plenty of reasons for Ukraine to do it, though I do not think personally they did it deliberately, on balance of evidence. There is however no reason for Russia to have done it beyond this is bad, Russia is bad therefore this <--> Russia. Everything about it is a net negative, for Russia. Hence the requirement for yet more OMG but Sauron. Still actually kind of glad we got another 'orc' post. Not because I get to ask (rhetorically, back seat moderation is at best tiresome) again if the boards would tolerate the use of the racial slurs used against Arabs or Vietnamese* when they were fighting the west. The thing about orcs is, they're fantasy and don't exist. If you have to justify something using fantasy and racist epithets you're fundamentally not on solid ground. *answer: no, at least for the Vietnamese, since that term is on the naughty list. As for the HiMARS 1) it was a Ukrainian official saying they used them to attack the floodgates and why- to show that they could destroy the floodgates, a test which was successful- and I quoted him from a impeccably western and pro Ukrainian source. 2) The section they attacked most had the roadway collapse the day before the dam did, and was the clear point of failure. 3) They don't have to have hit the dam on Jun 5/6 to have caused the collapse, they don't need to have done it deliberately in the sense that they intended the dam to fail; all they have to have done is do enough damage that it failed, eventually. 4) Despite knowing of the potential damage they released more water upstream than usual 5) The Antonovsky bridge doesn't have billions of tons of water behind it 3 also has the advantage of not requiring anyone to be a cartoon villain to make sense. Nah, I didn't think the invasion would happen, but I've always said there was a logical reason for it. Not one I personally agree with, but you don't have to agree with reasons to recognise that they exist.1 point

If you use the Helwax Mold for The Flames of Fair Rhîan and then also buy Taluntain's Staff you could have 9 Fireballs per rest. I did this with a Rogue (because ACC also not bad and Deathblows working with spells - Sneak Attack not though). But this comes all a bit late. Rotfinger Gloves, Amulet of Summer Solstice, Sun-Touched Mail and Munacra Arret are esp. nice imo because they can be obtained rel. early. Same with the White Spire (estoc in Defiance Bay). It has 3 Blizzards per rest. You can stack a really decent amount of per-rest spells on a character that way and make him a good caster. I wrote a little build guide for a Rogue + scrolls, it's in the build list under "Sorcerer's Apprentice". It's a Rogue and not a fighter but the principles apply to both (instead of Deathblows the Fighter has Disciplined Barrage which stacks very nicely with the accuracy bonus that is on most of those spellbinds - except Ring of Changing Heart which has no acc bonus iirc). --- Edit: in Deadfire you can recharge "charged" spellbinds if you have two of the same item. FOr example a Necklace of Fireballs usually has 8 charges and if it's depleted you can basically throw it away. But if you have another one in the stash you can stack them to a pile and when you seperate them again both are charged full again. I never tried this in PoE - but maybe... maybe one could use the Helwax Mold on one of those charged items (there's the Red Reed Wand or the Rod of Wind and Thunder for example) and then do the same in PoE? As I said I never tried and most likely this doesn't work like in Deadfire - but maybe it's worth a shot? Because then you'd have the perfect spellbinding item that had a ton of spells and you could recharge them after every encounter...1 point

Yes, ACC is valid also with scrolls. Some good items to use with high ACC: Necklace of Fireballs (up to EIGHT fireball in only one encounter) Amulet of Summer Solstice and Sun-Touched Mail of Hyran Rath for damage as Boeroer said, but also for blind The others Boeroer said (charm and dominate) Rotfinger Gloves for AoE corrode damage Ring of Searing Flames Bittercut for Infestation of Maggots1 point

The rel. early Amulet of Summer Solstice and Sun-Touched Mail of Hyran Rath for some AoE dmg. Munacra Arret and Spirit Spiral (charm) as well als Ring of Changing Heart (dominate) for impactful CC.1 point

It looks like they have Dark Ages of Camelot and Ultima Online right now, but I don't know what they've done to those games. TOR is also kind of stuck with the narrative experience of the game. Like, you can't rework the leveling system without messing up the storylines of the level 1-60 experience. They'd benefit from new classes or something fresh to attract people, but I don't think it would be simple to implement. WoW and LotRO have rebuilt the starting areas and introduced new classes numerous times to make it fresh.1 point

Imo the best build for dual mortars is a single class Monk. Everthing else comes second, although Streetfighter has a great synergy with Powder Burns + Heating Up. So naturally my second pick would be Monk/Streetfighter. Mirke can do both - so instead of using a voiceless hireling I would recommend to give her a shot (pun intended) - she can be SC Monk as well as Monk/Streetfighter. She doesn't have the perfect statline - but she's always drunk so that makes up for it. Berserker is bad for your party with all that AoE unless you get rid of the confusion. Then ok. If you have a Chanter in the party with Many Lives skeletons then that confusion can be turned into something very good, see below. Barb in general works but isn't the optimal class for it imo. I value mortars over normal blunderbusses in general so I will cocentrade on good builds with those and leave the multipellet-blunderbusses to other commenters (see Combusting Wounds+pellets or Kitchen Stove's THunderous Report for massive focus gain). Following list is in no particular order, althoug most likely the best ones/most fun ones will come to my mind sooner. SC Monk, main reasons: AoE*(AoE hand mortar + 2*AoE Fire in the Hole +2*AoE Powder Burns) with Whispers of the Wind, in combination with: Resonant Touch - if the mob's not dead after WotW alone it will be after Resonant Touch (those two points are so incredibly powerful that it's really hard to beat) Stunning Surge: almost always a crit against multiple enemies, hence no cost. Long stun in a big AoE bc. of Duality oMP (INT) huge AoE bc. of Duality of Mortal Presence +2 PEN bc. Thunderous Blows Summons that help to deter enemies Ajamuut's Stalking Cloak works with Whispers of the Wind (invisibility doesn't break: all enemies stunned on the fly) Monk/Streetfigher: always heated up (-50% reload, +50% Sneak Attack dmg) lots of Full Attacks + afflictions in an AoE with Crippling Strike, Blinding Strike, Stunning Surge and so on huge AoE like SC Monk +2 PEN Summons SC Assassin or SC Streetfighter: Gambit with dual mortars is very good against multiple enemies. Its damage scales internally with Guile refund per crit - it is capped at 4 but while executing the "internal guile counter flows over and you get dmg bonuses up to 200-300% until the refund cap is applied. Also lots of crits bc. of multiple hit rolls and thus often full refund. Vanishing Strikes + AoE: works with Assassinate and Backstab(!) - Escape into the crowd, turn invisible with 1 Vanishing Strike (its invisibility never breaks until duration runs out) and follow up with Gambit and deal AoE Assasinate+Backstabs with mortars. Devastating AoE dmg. Also works with Ajamuut's Stalking Cloak. Streetfighter/Arcane Archer: more ACC Driving Flight + all the Rogue's Strikes = more AoE dmg and more debuffing and raw DoTs and stuff Imbue Shots' effects get triggered thrice(!) bc. of Fire in the Hole's jump + Driving Flight. So for example 3 Fireball procs from one imbue shot with Fire in the Hole. Or three Pull of Eora with one imbue shot. You get the idea. Wounding SHot doesn't work with AoE - Concussive Tranquilizer does. SC Stormspeaker (Tekehu) double reload bonus from Sure-Handed Ila (-20% from recovery bonus AND -20% from reload bonus) Watch out: Mith Fyr doesn't work on Thekehu (gets cleared periodically by his Wavewalker passive)! Avenging Storm invocation: the lightning triggers from every AoE hit (including jumps) and also the Blinding Smoke effect of Hand Mortar which procs an AoE cone from every mortar crit(!) --> thunderstorm of lightning strikes SC Druid: Avenging Storm mayhem like above basically but limited to 2/encounter and no Sure-Handed Ila. SC Barbarian: Heart of Fury and Barbaric Retaliation both work with Hand Mortars (and AoE). Works great in combo with spamming Dazing Shout in between. Blood Surge can get you Rage back pretty nicely. Before that it's a bit lame though. Frenzy helps, Bloodlust and Bloody Slaughter, too. But Blood Thirst doesn't work which is a shame. Berserkers can stay confused and blow up inside mobs - if there are Many Lives Skeletons that run towards the enemies of the Berserker automatically he can kill them "accidentiually" and get lots and lots of kill procs for Bloodlust, Blood Surge and heal on kill (pets or Thriumph of the Crusaders). Makes him early unkillable - but you cannot go near him with party members. Furyshaper can use Blood Ward and profit a lot from Barbaric Retaliation doing AoE dmg to fill up his health gradually all the time. When big chunks of healing is needed trigger HEart of Fury. SC Arcane Archer: Whirling Strikes will work if you put a melee weapon in one hand and leave Fire in the Hole in the other. You will get AoE(melee)+AoE Powder Burns + AoE*(AoE FitH + AoEFitH jump + AoE Driving Flight) with it which not only does tremendous AoE dmg right on but also puts that nasty DoT on everybody. Before that a bit lame except the already described imbue-jumps mechanic which is very good. Hunter's Claw etc. does work with mortar also if you keep that melee weapon in the main hand. You'll get multiple stacks of Hunter's Fang/Claw etc. with a single shot. Streetfighter/Fighter besides the known Streetfighter stuff, fighters get Penetrating Strike for great PEN and Tactical Barrage for more AoE Clear Out works with the mortars if you put a melee weapon in the offhand to unlock the use of the ability but execue it with the mortar. The result is AoE Powder Burns +AoE*(AoE FitH + AoE FitH jump) and violent pushes of all enemies in al directions like bowling pins. SC Fighter: Clear the Path or Clean Sweep are both very good with the setup above. Before that pretty lame Berserker/Troubadour: Ancient Brittle Bones and Many Lives Skeletons killed by your mortar AoE does stuff for you (mostly healing on kill which counters your self damage - Blood Thirst doesn't work though). Sure-Handed Ila + Mith Fyr summons galore Most fun above all I had with the SC Monk, in my case Helwalker. Here's an impression: But I guess Mirke as Monk/Streetfigter could also be mad fun.1 point

Here's an old video I made to show how you can spam Gambit: To be able to spam Gambit you need very high accuracy for both weapons (to ensure you never graze/miss and all hits are converted to crits). Scordeo's Edge gives high accuracy for both weapons and Blade Cascade greatly increases your dps. For the off hand Pukestabber is fast and has a long knockdown which works vs nearly all enemies. Another great choice for the off hand is Grave Calling (Drizzt style) which can perma paralyze/freeze any enemy without immunity to dex afflictions. VS enemies with very high deflection you can also use Tarn's Respite in the off hand (it lowers deflection), it lacks CC but combined with Vanishing Strike it's deadly... For pure dps the best combo would be Magran's Favor with modal (main hand) and Scordeo's Edge (off hand).1 point
