That's because both are true. This year's ghoulfest might've been subdued and half-arsed, while previous ones were overly pompous and blowhardy, with slogans "We can do it again!" and such. Mind you, did anyone spot "We can do it again!" this year? Would've been particularly funny. Anyway, fingers crossed that everyone and their dog keeps mocking russia for anything and everything, because if there's one thing tyrannies hate with a passion, it's being laughed at.4 points

Lamplighters League seem to got a lot of previews out - most of the gameplay videos seem sponsored so keep that in mind. A puiblic demo would be nicer Paradox. EDIT. Holy smokes, after two years of broken Baldur's Gate3, seeing a neutral enemy behave within turn based system at 36:53 feels mindblowing.3 points

AP sources: US Rep. George Santos facing federal charges I can't believe they'd do this to a Civil War hero. What a miscarriage of justice.3 points

TL;DR: Suspected root cause is (long term) degradation by unsafe voltages, potentially assisted by manufacturing variances and minor defects, otherwise known as silicon lottery. The lab tech identifies a whole host of other potential causes, but the issue appearing more frequently on ASUS mainboards with their excessive SoC voltage really just points to, well, failure due to unsafe voltages.2 points

Seems like Bethesda’s sharp writing is still alive and well in Starfield https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/starfields-pillow-talk-will-make-me-swear-a-vow-of-space-celibacy2 points

Hi all! Tim Cain started an awesome YT channel. Reveals he's semi-retired since 2020, but working as a contractor for Obsidian and other companies. So far he's been talking about Troika, Arcanum, Bloodlines, Fallout and ... an unreleased Lord of the Rings game from 2001. Stories of Pillars of Eternity might follow, he's mentioned that and Tyranny a few times.1 point

Aria The Animation, episode three. Akari and Aika meet Alice, talk to her a little while, and then later Akari meets an old aquaintance who ropes her into giving a free tour, since she's not yet allowed to take on customers on her own. He is annoying and calls her a ridiculous nickname, much like Seiya did with Usagi. Alice hears that and sees him pull Akari's hair, so she tells him to stop bothering her. They then all go on a trip together that ends with them visiting a terraforming station. If nothing else, this series is super relaxing. It's like watching Card Captor Sakura without the card capturing and magic part. Well, also without any Tomoyo style character, no costumes and, uhm, no class for Akari to go to so less characters and yep, one can see this particular comparison fall apart in real time as I type it, even if Akari really does have Sakura's sunny disposition and Usagi's ability to make friends by just saying hello. Watching nothig happen on screen was rarely as entertaining as this episode. Having the guy being a fake customer who is given a tour is also a great way to justify the exposition dump that happened. Still not convinced that the concept will last the 52 episodes and a couple of specials, OVAs and films, but so far this is really nice, even if I can't exactly tell you why.1 point

I'd like to add that it would be nice if we could get curved wall/floor segments tweaked to allow us to connect other segments to them at more angles than are current available, including other curved wall/floor segments. We can't, for example, make a "circle" out of curved walls with the curved segments inverted (with the inner side of the curve facing outwards instead), if that makes sense. This problem also exists when trying to connect straight or diagonal walls to curved walls in the same manner, making it a bit messy to work with and limiting what we can do with them. I know this is because part of one wall would end up clipping into the other, but it would be nice if it was allowed in these cases. or we could potentially get "combo" segments added to fill in spots that need these sorts of designs in a wall/floor.1 point

Lamplighters League looks great, more polished than the last new thing I saw for Cyber Knights: Flashpoint, granted that was many months ago. I'm still more interested in CK:F, simply on the strength of it being from the same devs that made the excellent Star Traders: Frontiers. @melkathiThat's what I get for skimming that article.1 point

That wasn't Bethesda though. It is the writing sample from the RPS guy with which he wants to convince Bethesda to let him write the sexy stuff1 point

"Call me Zarathustra, the way you hit those bong-bongs" That's a deep cut. I'm giving Bethesda points for that one.1 point

My husband would be sitting in his recliner with a robe and electric blanket. ...I like that temp or lower for sleeping, much higher and I can't sleep for (censored). But 10C is about my limit for indoor temps. I don't want to wear more than a light nightgown and socks. ...maybe you should get a house with an ice rink as the floor, keep it artificially frozen in summer, toss rugs over it.1 point

That's what I'm going to do. Removing all per rest abilities would lead to another mod with other principles. Changing number of ability use, changing an ability from per rest to per encounter and even changing spells from per rest to per encounter, all these have been done by other mods. The only thing I'm not 100% sur if feasible is how to reduce the number of spell cast per caster level (druid, Wiz, Priest). It's probably a parameter somewhere, but there is a chance that it is hardcoded (especially since it changes per level gain). I'm not sure I would like to do both mods, lack of time to develop and playtest both.1 point

Apparently Tucker Klansman gets a new show on... Twitter. Would like to say I'm surprised, but considering the mask-off fascism / right-wing grifting from Musk lately, I'm really not at all.1 point

I think fighters in PoE1 are better than most people give them credit for (their accuracy with scrolls and item abilities alone make them pretty solid), but then I never take clear out or sundering blow so those seem like good abilities to buff and rogue is IMO uncontested for weakest class. Is changing per rest to per encounter possible? In that case i would move clear out to per encounter at 2 uses. It's a smaller AoE than Heart of Fury and fighters don't have carnage to do AoE*AoE so two uses seems like it should be fine. I don't think these changes will move down Priest from S++ (minor avatar + aggrandizing & inspiring radiance for +10 to all attributes & +10 universally stacking team accuracy would still be in the game) but then I wouldn't really want them too. Since inspiring radiance stacks there's no way you only want 1 priest, also defensive mindweb + priest (+10 to all attributes -> +40 fort/ref/will) + wizard with arcane veil (and shield + hatchet) is comical for how high you can push everyones defenses.1 point

A couple of chanters can fit tank slots yeah. Not sure they can overpower wizs, but if you're lazy AND powergamy, chanters do fill slots quite well.1 point

I dont know exactly whats causing it but current gear set up is bard bow sleek, bard hat sleek, moth sleek chest, broodmother sleek boots, wittle widowling trinket, mom genes, apex predator, bardic inspiration mutations. when i shoot the bard bow at a enemy it sometimes procs the guarenteed poison coating from broodmother legs to myself. Happens probably 33% of the time, extremely annoying. This build is sick but there is clearly a bug thats causing me to poison myself almost every shot while using this build. Figured i would post to bring it to game devs attention. Probably wont open forums again but please fix thanks.1 point

With the addition of the comfort system giving us more of a reason to decoration and design than ever before, I feel that there some things we are currently lacking and some structures that may need a bit of tweaking to make things perfect. Apologies in advance if any of these are already in the works, have already been suggested, or have already been rejected, as I'm not up to date on this kind of information. Additions: 1. Carpets/rugs They'd fit in perfectly with the new comfort system (maybe a 6th rank could be added? It could, very slowly, passively restore equipment durability or something.). We have plenty of existing materials they could be made out of. They could either replace/reskin floors entirely or simply be placed on top of them (although they would need to allow other structures to be placed over them if the latter is done). 2. Quarter Wall/Foundation/Floor Pieces I can't tell you how many times I've run into situations in which I've needed a quarter wall/foundation/floor piece to fill a tiny gap when designing a base. These would be so nice to have. 3. Ash Pillars Why don't these exist? We have pillars for everything else remotely solid. 4. Wall & hanging braziers The standing mant braziers look amazing and were a good start, but even the small ones take up a lot of room and I feel this idea could be expanded on. 5. More Railing/Fence Types Just sprig and acorn is very limiting to aesthetics. Why not have at least a pine cone variant? 6. Ash & Pine Cone Stairs Like with pillars and fencing, it just seems strange that these don't already exist. 7. More Path Variations Pebblet looks great, but why can't we also have clay, acorn, pine cone, mushroom brick, or ash paths? 8. Curved Corner Stairs We have straight corner stairs so why not these? 9. More Spiral Stair Variants We have more than just Acorn for normal and half stairs, spiral stairs need some love too. 10. Ash Foundations Seems like an obvious addition to me since ash is supposed to be our mini version of concrete, right? 11. Zipline anchor Variants I feel like it's a waste to only ever build these out of the same materials when we have so many different possible styles available. 12. Small Garden Patch Why must I grow smaller plants in such a massive patch? Especially when said patch still only gives me a small return on these smaller plants? 13. More Arch Variants At least Ash wall arches would be nice. Just having these available for mushroom walls is a waste. Tweaks: 1. Diagonal Triangle Wall Placement It would be nice if we could place triangle wall segments diagonally like we already can with other wall types. 2.. Triangle Ash Wall Curve Why is the normal one curved on one side when the inverted variant is straight? The curve just creates gaps and it isn't like ash walls all have a curvy style to them, I don't see the point. 3. Pillar Placement Having more snap points for Pillars would be much appreciated. For example, being able to snap them at points halfway along flooring or maybe on the edge of floor segments would be nice. 4. Curved Wall Gaps Curved walls have gaps that need fixing. This is most obvious on the left side of ash curved walls and ash curved half walls. 5. Garden Patch Snapping The snapping for these is full of problems. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Often times you can't snap a lot of them next to each other for no apparent reason. They often refuse to snap correctly next to walls, despite there being plenty of room. This is more for convenience because you can, of course, manually place them in such locations. 6. More Chest Snap Points It would be very convenient if chests and other storage structures could snap to more locations other than just the center and edges of a floor segment. Having to eyeball everything takes a really long time if you want it looking nice. 7. Middle Mouse Rotation Alignment Generally, most structures other than floors, walls, roofing, etc tend to not rotate with the correct alignment when using the mouse wheel. Trying to line everything up to look neat is something I do in every building game. So the mouse wheel rotating things to an off angle can be infuriating when I'm, for example, trying to place a row of chests sideways along a wall and keep them lined up perfectly with that wall. This is all I can think of for now. If I come up with any more ideas I'll add them. If you made it this far, thanks for taking the time to read my suggestions.1 point

Yup. Now I have my own apartment but those who didn't invest in a property in the past 10 years probably have to pay rent for the rest of their lives. Inflation is skyrocketing and internet censorship is at its peak pretty much. I can only use a VPN on my phone. I have to download stuff on my phone and transfer them to my PC...talk about workaround tactics. On the plus side, women don't wear hijab anymore and the government is too scared to fight back on that front. They still use nerve agents on our schools(women) to test it out for Russians. Can you believe this? 'Here is a school full of beautiful 16 year old Iranian school girls...let's use them as guinea pigs for our Russian overlords!!!' Terrifying. What's worse is that the opposition is divided into 3 groups that can't stop fighting each other: -The MEK - Islamic leftist group with Marxist roots. Think Kim Jong Un but with Islam. Pretty much the least popular group. Nobody likes them really. -The Democrats - They are mostly on the American democrats side. Most folks accuse them of being the Islamic republics reformists shedding skin. They(like most democrats) look after their own pockets so a lot of people hate them. -The Pahlavi Dynasty - Now this is the most popular group/person(Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi). They have a reputation for being patriots. They aren't racists and strongly condemn all sorts of discrimination against minority groups. They aren't backed by any specific country or party though, so they might have a long way ahead of them. I don't know how things will proceed but a lot of it will be decided once(hopefully) Putin shoots himself in the head.1 point
