Hey everyone. It's been a while. The last few months have been... challenging, to say the least. I've been struggling with a major medical problem and it's taken a lot out of me. The good news is it seems a corner has been turned and the situation is improving. So very thankful for that. I hope you guys and your families are all doing well and kicking the world's ass! @Gfted1home grown tomatoes are the best!8 points

Over the holidays we were gifted an 8-pod hydroponic grower: FIRINER Herb Garden Hydroponics Growing System - 8 Pods Indoor Gardening System with LED Grow Light, Plants Germination Kit with Pump System Automatic Timer, Adjustable(19.6") Ideal Gifts for Women (amazon.com) (ideal for women? wtf?) and one recent drunken night we decided to set it up. We bought seed packets and set up basil x3, cilantro x 2 and Beefsteak tomato x 3 and Im happy to report that all but one cilantro has sprouted! But I also had a lot of leftover seeds so I drunkenly wandered around the house placing Beefsteak tomato seeds into a bunch of other various potted plants my wife has around the house. Loe and behold! 10 more Beefsteak tomato plants have sprouted in those planters too! So I guess Ill try to corner the market on Beefsteak tomatos. *It makes me lol to say Beefsteak tomato.2 points

No, it doesn't work with ghost heart unfortunately, since the ghost animal companion counts as your one and only summons. For this reason, I think you're better off with stalker if you're going solo and want the AC and a nice summons like spiritual ally.1 point

Does community patch nerf unbending? Otherwise not stacking Int for the crazy heals on a Turning Wheel user feels like it can't be right. Since you're using The Undying Burden and you say you're all in on Athletics you might want to try Contenders Armor which would let you attack even faster (up to -28% recovery instead of the -10% from Caroc) but you lose out on heal and +2 power pool. As for pets Blinky for +5 melee accuracy on whole party would be more effective than a +melee damage or hit-to-crit but is very late game.1 point

It's technically doable, even rather easy. The issue is that it enables to use all active abilities on items equipped by your clones. Which is broken for an "official" mod. But you could still tweak it yourself and rules out using active item abilities on your clones. This order of magnitude, yes. I'm actually thinking about +2 Zeal per downed ally with a cooldown of 30s, so the ability would mostly work as well as in vanilla for parties without many summons. You could. PoE2 is not hard to mod, I think. Consider it's my first mod ever and I'm no dev IRL. You can give it a try by enabling exhortations on oneself. It's not very complicated using the many tutorials. It could even be a nice small mod on Nexus (I've not found this by quick research).1 point

perhaps is a handful o' poles still twisted up 'bout the treaty of altmark, but am trying with difficulty to imagine legit examples o' modern swedish hate outside indigenous peoples. am suspecting your national ketchup fetish evokes more pity and curiosity than anger. the concocted indignity o' turkey as an excuse to keep sweden outta nato don't feel real, but perhaps am wrong. have never purchased an ikea product but the near universal pop culture knowledge that assembling the swedish furniture ordinary results in frustration might qualify as hate. maybe? is the chinese, iranians and saudis known for purchasing ikea products? is the olympic curling and cross country skiing competition cutthroat enough to inspire hate? so other than the sámi, and a few inebriated kanadian curling fans, am not sure who genuine hates sweden, but am admitted uneducated on such matters. ... converse, everybody hates norway, yes? HA! Good Fun!1 point

Somehow Yes, but I've tweaked Tactician several Times too so it could be messed. Tactician should get the normalna brilliant Now (but under new condition : needs also to have more than 50% health, anf he gets Confused and longer recovery under 50% health. Not sure, but anyway it would mess with monk and wiz who only have non controlable summons. Honnestly the safest way is to put a Cooldown on Divine Retribution Zeal gain, so it works well on "normal party"1 point

I think it works that well in this fight because the Megaboss has AoE Attacks that systematically kills your skellies. But in a larger party, a barb could have done the job. The annoying thing is that it is really only the skelly chant that leads to such absurd Zeal gain. Other summons work great, but not to such extreme extant. Brilliant is still 1 resource per 6s. The only BPM tweak was to make higher spell Tier more rare to regen (and it starts giving back resource 3s avec the start, not immediately).1 point

I now know every spell in Hogwarts Legacy, including Adava Kedavra. Don't worry, I won't let the power go to my head.1 point

I'm quite happy that I feel no hype at all for D4. Very likely will not spend any money nor time on it.1 point

WotEP can be fun weapon, but I prefer it for tankier builds, like an steel garrote arcane knight or steel garrote/trickster Holy Slayer. With high DEF the Offensive Parry upgrade is really amazing, since it gives you a free attack whenever you're missed and also dazes the foe, which is great fro SG paladins and rogues. It's also a good weapon in the hands of a soul blade, since you can affect multiple enemies with soul annihilation. For a devoted/helwalker, I'd go with axes or spears. Mohora Tanga is an amazing spear in the hands of a monk (as discussed in this thread). Axes are always a great choice too. Since you have high STR you can wield Amra which is great against mobs. When taking on tougher foes, you can wield Magran's Favor and Tuotilo's Palm for extra defense. And fists are always be great for a devoted brute, since unarmed gets the devoted perks as well as your weapon of choice.1 point

I miss the days when things were all just ugly polygons. At least that didn't constantly fall into the uncanny valley. There will hopefully come a day when modern 3D graphics aren't constantly doing that to me. Also, yeah, the directional lighting issue is usually pretty noticeable if you're moving the camera around to a lot of different angles to either look at something close to you or your own character.1 point

So looking forward to Starfield. And this teaser did have a HUGE reveal critically important to me: the game can be played in third-person! Pay attention, Obsidian devs!!!!1 point

I remember when I tried this weapon with a monk, and my guess was the SF HbD chain only proc on the main target (the AoE is not melee) but Im not sure anymore about what happen for nearby enemies (if the main attack in chain also proc the AoE each time). What I know for sure is the AoE attack is threated as Weapon in the files, in opposite to the others AoE from weapons (effects). So that can explain most of these interractions! This is a very nice find , any synergy with Rogue?1 point

I'm not even sure it officially qualifies as food. I just bought a bunch of Huel. It's my second time toying around with plant based meal replacements, the first being one of the early formulations of Soylent. There's something about finding bachelor chow I am fascinated by. Ultra easy low calorie meals. Am I lazy slob who is looking to suck all the joy out of food by turning it into a numbers game? I don't have to answer that and you can't make me. The Mac and Cheese was bland. This makes total sense for 200 calories at a half serving of Mac and "cheese." It's basically a cheese textured starch powder. Being inoffensively bland is a win.1 point

purchased a breville’s polyscience control freak. will be here march 9-14. we got plenty o' stainless steel cookware, so we should be good, but am now contemplating buying a decent carbon steel pan. am a big fan o' made in, but am thinking o' going lodge since we have such a good track record with lodge. most all our impulse buys nowadays is cooking related. is kinda a sickness. HA! Good Fun!1 point

Boosted engagement on the pet (+3 via Champion's Boon) also means Stalker's Link (+10 ACC) against +3 enemies iirc.1 point

Plenty of tropes do still have reference names, eg Astronauts vs Cavemen for an inconsequential hypothetical argument carried on passionately far beyond the point it makes any sense to*. Think they've changed the ones where they think a reference name is 'mean' or controversial, mostly and by its nature that includes reducing most character types to tropes. *why do I know this one in particular? it's a mystery...0 points

I was recommended this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0832MR4WB/ The wifi speeds are on it have been pretty lousy too, though I don't really care about that - I only care about the bluetooth, as that's what I bought it for. But it stands to reason that if the wifi reception is unusually bad, the bluetooth is through the same antenna so that's probably unusually bad as well... I just get a lot of cut-outs and disconnects, worse than I would have expected for a dedicated card with two antennas compared to a rinky dink little USB thingy.0 points

I got an AX210 recently as well for the Bluetooth, haven't been terribly pleased with it - it sometimes performs mildly better and sometimes a lot worse than the little trashcan USB transceiver I was previously using, .0 points

Postscript: The thing about modern 3D games recently that I've disliked is all the massive directional lighting/shadow tricks. Environmentally it can look great, don't get me wrong, but on characters...where even when it's night-time (vs. bright sunlight say), from one angle, your chr's is lit up nicely/naturally, but then you turn them 70 degrees and their face becomes this murky hole of terrible shadowing, or their dark hair turns white/red/green/purple, stuff like that. Anyway, maybe I can continue trying the early game with other Houses now that the game doesn't crash every 15 minutes.0 points
