  1. Yeah... Yeah... *awkward laugh* That's, that's also how I know about Sasha Grey. I definitely had not seen any videos with her before she was just brought up. No siree Bob.

  4. To be fair, I only knew Sasha Grey because I actually googled her (note for self, do not do that during work hours), after the name came up in a Nanowar of Steel song (Valhalleluja) where she got compared unfavourably to Knisa Light Grey. The whole thing was so bizarre I had to look up both names I did remember Jennifer Hale and David Warner from Baldurs Gate 2 though as the more memorable voices (probably the only two VA names I remember without prodding). I'm not counting Ron Perlman for his intro to Fallout, as he didn't voice a character.

  5. I'm agree with you, debonaire are weird by concept : you have to use in first the charm ability (or whispers of treason) to get +50acc on your next hit (not graze) against him, and that's it, the charm effect is removed. Ok you can crit with pure DoT spells o the target, but some need you to be confused (Cleansing Flame) and most of affliction are also foe only. Assassin are great because the whole chain benefit from Assassinate acc bonus while invisible, even without Vanishing Strike. The Red Flag Flying proc on any Mohora crit, from abilities (swift flurry is an ability, like WotW) and auto-attack.

  7. For the last slot i would take a sniper/mage slayer ( Constentin talked about it in recent post) and omg it s amazing to shutdown from faraway those nasty spellcaster. AA/mageslayer can also be very nice for those bound spells

  8. This is Knisa Light Grey for comparison Edit: My source of knowledge for Sasha Grey Edit2: Not that I haven't watched the odd xxx rated movie over the years, no reason to be shy about that (when VHS was a thing), but she is too recent I think. Unless she was active in the adult movie industry 25+ years ago.

  11. Ah, but the combination of AoE-charm (Chanter, Cipher) + Debonaire/Wizard is pretty nice in a party. Also Debonaire/Cipher can charm and then apply Disintegrate with a crit without flipping the target. It dies fighting for you. Which is cool imo.

  13. On another note I just tried Debonaire/Nalpazca for a bit and I found out I really dislike Debonaire for reasons unrelated to Mohora. I think for solo play you really wanna go either ranger/monk, sc monk, priest/monk or sc assassin. Assassin doesn't have the chains from hbd/swift but combined with deltros and boltcatcher it will still do way too much damage (more than you ever need). If I was to play SC Monk, do I even get red flag off WotW or is it basic attack only?

  14. If you attack with only Mohora Tanga as single weapon, you can see in the log that many time the chain is broken by hit or graze from Red Flag. But since the triggered Mohora SF/HbD attack can also chain crit, the list is not over on the combat log. My guess is when so much chain proc without any issue for the game , it simply shut down. For the moment my game didnt crash when dual wielding Mohora (in offhand), for this reason I think.

  15. Usually, the spells or abilities that destroy Near Death on hit require at less to graze with the spell for Destroy : Death Ring (vs fortitude), Boil their Flesh (vs reflex), Worthy Sacrifice (deflection), etc, ... and Detonate (vs fortitude). But this last is not like the others : in first, the spell is not foe-only, and the destroy effect is a separated thing than the first raw spell that trigger that on hit. Like for the other spells that is right, but only this Destroy effect is Melee. So the Destroy effect is redirected to another Near Death target with Blade Turning. * So the magic trick is to spam Detonate on a Near Death monk with Blade Turning and BDD (or Martyr's Memories). The AoE crush damage will help to reach the Near Death level to enemies around the Monk, and every Near Death (including friends and excepted the Monk) in a 20m range (like Sunlance) will be destroyed without hit-roll (the monk take the roll with the detonate hit) one after the other. A transcendant can make by himself this exploit, with a priest for example to keep Blade Turning and Bdd for some times. Mortification of the Soul allow to him to loose quickly his life. An Ascendant can spam repeatedly Detonate. To summarize, Detonate on a Near Death monk with Blade Turning cause to another Near Death to be destroyed "freely".

  16. For me they can happen anytime. Also against enemies that are not that weak. Sometimes Red Flag Flying just gets too many lucky rolls I guess. But I was using Swift Flurry and later HBD on top so that might add a lot of problems as well since a crit from those starts the cycle of Red Flag Flying anew I assume. But I also had crashes with a simple SC Druid who used Avenging Storm with Mohora Tange against not too shabby enemies. Not that many though. Unless Entropy...

  18. Arcane Archer would be my favorite Ranger subclass for this. Frostseeker doesn't put the usual ACC malus on auto-attacks of an Arcane Archer and the added CC from Binding Web and Pull of Eora is great (because great ACC, two spells in one shot with Driving Flight - and almost no casting time).

  19. That was pretty much because Shady had Sisko as avatar at the time. Back in the days of yore when we shared pictures of ourselves on the forums (there was always some variation of a 'post your ugly mug' thread) I was always a little weirded out when people did not look like their avatars. Because that is clearly the reasonable thing to expect, that forum posters look like their chosen profile picture (bonus points on forums without custom avatars, like the old BIS board).

  21. I fooled around a little bit with this. You guys probably already figured this out, but red flag flying is a weapon attack. So even tho it goes vs fort you can buff it to the roof, while boltcatchers will stay low acc. If you wanna be real cheesy you can get +40 acc from scordeos with SoF (get the regular +20, switch weapons, save and reload, now you can get another +20 cuz the name of the buff changed :P). This way You should almost always be able to break the loop with boltcatchers, since your boltcatchers will be 40+ less accuracy.

  26. I had no idea about the Khapa Tea immunity! Definitely makes it an option for other melee party members to get among the spores. Blightheart is a great call for the Chanter, I'd probably run the Eld Nary chant for offence which would be sure to pick up some kills for more phrases for more Eld Nary. Fassina would be an excellent option for this as Conjurer gets most of the desirable spells we want and boosts the Conjuration summons and Malignant Cloud. I am a bit partial against Multiclassing so while your suggestion is great I might keep it SC Beguiler for simplicity sake.

  29. The game only crashes for me when Mohora Tanga's Rad Flag goes into an endless loop. It can trigger itself - so if your ACC is too high compared to the enemies' defenses it will crit - triggering itself which will crit... and so on. You want very high ACC and fortitude debuffs because of the bosses and late game enemies who nearly all have very high fortitude(game won't crash - or only very seldomly) - but you better switch to another weapon when fighting weaker enemies. Only sometimes when I finished a big one I forget to switch and then *pouf - David Copperlane makes my game disappear*

  30. This is the difference between acc and Fortitude you have to look (Red Flag crit). If an enemy have 120 fort. and your acc is 120, then the crit chain , if happen, should be short. So with debuffs (FF >-10, might aff. from a weapon >-10, Devotion for the Faithful (stack with might aff. from weapon only) >-8) lets say 92 fort. Devotion for the Faithful also hit you, so you have 130acc. Here, your chain-crit have env. 0% chance to crash the game, and even with Entropy, it is still viable. Dualwield Mohorain offhand is a good solution, whatever the classe used : each Swift Flurry attack can cause a Red Flag crit chain when in Mohora is in main hand/solo handed. But in the case of Votary, because you can have only +12acc as active and +5 as passive (aware), it is more easy to chain crit low-fortitude enemies without shutdown the game, than a cipher/wizard/ranger Monk can do. But even without any buff, for any classes, it is important to not have +100acc vs the enemy fortitude. Then, if you attack everyone excepted the weakest enemies, even with good acc it is nice. I had some fright with my "well-prepared" rogue-monk because even if I attacked only the enemies with average-good fort., a weak Pirate have missed my character and triggered a full attack .. Fortunately the chain-crit only cause a lag. But my point is to not attacking anyone with solo/dual Mohora set, to keep the control on the situation. So in my concern, I m using this weapon only on "full-dps" character, contrarly to a tanky one that I dont really take attention, I carefully strike and move (Flagelant Path is free when cancelled before the attack on impact).

  33. A couple of weeks ago I said here that Solasta Lost Valley was better than the original campaign. I'm not so sure about that anymore. Seems the deeper into I get into it, the more the seams appear, and the cut corners become more evident. Asset reuse increases a fair bit, and perhaps most importantly, their attempt at creating competing factions to choose between is their writing team biting off more than they can chew. No, no one should expect to be able to please all factions at the same time, reputation points ought to behave in a sensible way. But I expect better than to simply talk to a questgiver for one faction and having that immediately tank your reputation with another faction *which isn't even hostile to the first faction*. Looking into it a bit deeper and it appears this was done because eventually that other faction would have sent you to the same place to do something for them. They presumably wanted to make the quests mutually exclusive and did so in the clumsiest fashion possible. It's like, I dunno, Mr House who you've barely spoken to getting angry because you accepted a quest from the NCR to clear a Legion camp, because later in the script the game requires you to clear that camp on behalf of Mr House. And you haven't even done it, you've only accepted the quest. And you've only accepted the quest because in Solasta, talking to someone automatically accepts their quest. *facepalm*

  34. True. One of my favorite Barbarian combinations is still Barb/Chanter, recently Berserker/Troubadour. Great debuffer all the way until lvl 19 and then becomes one of the the most deadly melee damage dealers. A Barb combo that works well quite early on is a Barb/Monk or Barb/Fighter with a Morning Star. You can use Force of Anguish or Knockdown (both targer fortitude instead of deflection) and directly profit from the lowered fortitude (enemy hit with Body Blows, the Morning Star's modal). So you can decide if you want to attack deflection or fortitude (which is lower). I would prefer Barb/Monk because Force of Anguish also pushes the enemy into you Carnage range which means that the enemy suffers the normal weapon damage AND Carnage damage which is quite the nice dmg bonus that early in the game. Already works wonder on the digside for example. Most of the beasts don't have high fortitude - and lowering that by 25 makes hitting them very easy.

  38. That's a remarkable work @Kvellen, thank you! Also provided links to websites look very interesting, although I doubt I am going to have any use of them considering my limited skills in the subject. Just if it's not much of a hassle - would you consider changing the background color from greenish (beardless portrait with brown eyes ofc) to one present on portraits below (or similar)? Would look better (imo). Once again, big thanks!

  39. Hey. Not sure if this was already suggested. I am an older woman and really enjoy the game, but mostly play in creative or custom, because mainly the world and the building aspect appeals to me. I do like to go tru story tho and once i am done with it i would love an option to reset it (maybe after the ending) so i can show off the great world/buildings i created to my friends but at the same time also being able to spend time with them there and replay the great story. Considering resets already happend with new patches i can imagine it shouldnt be to hard to impliment. (maybe skip some of the quests which requires the research of certain items, because this can be buggy if the item is already researched and the quest is stuck than or reset all the research and have us research everything again would be fine too)
