  1. Finished Disco Elysium. I made a SPIRIT BOMB and used it, went to an almost abandoned fort, and found a bug and a killer. I never did get some guy to give me his sandwich though. It was very good, probably the best narrative I played in years. While I was a bit unsure at how a dialogue only game would play at first, it really does a good job of making you feel like you're doing detective work. Furthermore, the game seamlessly goes from funny to profound to weird as hell without straining at all. All in all it's one hell of a game and something that feels pretty close to unique. Whatever ZA/UM does next, I'm in.

  2. 1994 vs 1996. The OVA ended with a colored sketch drawing of the two characters with "THE END" under them, so I don't think it was really intended to go any farther. 47 freaking episodes, which is also how I figured it was terrible, because that's just too long for an inexplicable sequel two years after the original 4-episode show ended. So I highly doubt you'll be watching this one, . Yeah, tough to be your typical every day hero man when you look like that, . No, I think it's specifically an Obsidian forums thing, because I did a quick Google search and the Obsidian forums are literally the only place that someone's written about that error (marelooke and Azdeus back in 2021).

  3. For the little miniature gardens I am going to recommend additions. 1. New mushroom that's in game. The ink cap. I see other players wanting paint and this species actually was used to make ink. Could also be used as a blinding stat ailment. 2. Dandelion. We have the seeds and it would be useful trying to build bases in greener area. 3. Burrs. Another seed we have access to. Make it have reduced yields to not upset in-game "economy" 4. Slime mold. Would be nice to have our own little patch. And this one isn't part of the garden but fits the idea. Maggot Farm. You have to feed the maggots spoiled food/meat. When ripe you can harvest a maggot for grub flesh or maggot meat (don't see a need for more meat types for this). Each farm can grow 3 maggots. I am saying this to distinguish it from grubs which drop goop and hide Algae pit. Using the bug rubber (seriously underused) you make a small tank for growing algae. Nothing spectacular just a food option for the vegetarians who are sick of mushrooms

  4. Hi Dudes and Dudettes, Just found another Beguiler bug. Draining Whip adds +100% focus gain. Beguiler gets half of normal focus (0.25 focus per damage ratio instead of 0.5), but +100% focus gain against sneak attack targets. Consequently, Beguiler Draining Whip will get 0.25 +100% focus +100% focus gain against sneak attack targets. Both bonuses stack additively !! So Beguiler with Draining Whip only get 0.75 focus per damage vs sneak attack targets while other Ciphers get 1 focus per damage. Beguilers aren't supposed to get a penalty vs sneak attack targets... (note : it will of course be addressed by next BPM version, cheers !)

  5. New powerful aquatic insects: dragonfly larva, leech, water strider. New underwater equipment: a wetsuit made of leech skin or dragonfly larvae; a harpoon gun made of mosquito, water strider or bones; an additional supply of air from an ant egg or a mosquito pouch (reduce the number of air bubbles under water). New underwater missions and underwater boss. PS: It would be great if the location changed as the story progressed. For example, there are several tasks in the pond and each subsequent one is harder to perform (it is necessary to penetrate into more remote places, more powerful insects appear, or become aggressive. This applies not only to the pond. As a variant of the event: a dragonfly laid eggs in a pond, after a couple of days terrible dragonfly larvae appear in the pond with their boss. Task: infiltrate the laboratory and set up a series of experiments.

  6. Harpoon looks like it would benefit from the dragonfly larvae mask. It functions like a xenomorph(aliens) mouth and would make sense to be part do to the rapid underwater movement it's capable of

  7. I didn't look it up, how much time passed in between? Maybe they all just thought that's what the fans wanted. I mean... sounds like Ranma 1/2 all over again. Guess it would be worse if they made generic trash on purpose. How long is that follow up TV show? If it's not too many episodes then maybe watching the OVA is still worth it, because that really sounds like a nice watch. Heh, well, when your main character looks like this: There's no real way you'll be able to turn him into a "cool" anti-hero like, dunno, Deadpool or something, and so there wasn't even an attempt. Sure there's the occassional contrivance like when he accidentially stumbles into a bank robbery, but overall it's pretty damned good. The first episode was supposed to be a pilot to be picked up by a different TV station for a shared German/Austrian crime serial project of much lesser quality, and thankfully wasn't picked up and reworked into a standalone serial. The reason was the thick dialect/accents. The German TV station felt like they'd need to make subtitles for the episodes. I mean, in a way, I get it, I guess.Still, turned out pretty well that way, can't complain. The episodes are actually on YouTube. It's mostly dialogue and character interactions, and not understanding them makes linking anything a tad, say, pointless. Fun fact, that was actually a crime serial spinoff of a slice of life comdey TV series that had a seven year run. Which was also pretty great. And also pretty pointless, and because it's the sort of comedy that's only funny with a certain amount of cultural appreciation, it would probably fall flat even with subs. Ah, pity. Oh, I don't disagree. I just felt the need to reiterate that I've unintentionally watched more of his, uhm, work, and it all comes with similar problems. Only, like, way worse than they were in K-On!...

  11. Psion's focus gain increases with PL. It starts out somewhat slow but gets faster as you go along. You can boost it with abilities, items, food and potions that boost PL. A troubadour/psion with brisk recitation on can pretty much spam low level powers like soul shock (which scales nicely with PL and has a large AOE radius), and just alternate casting cipher powers and chanter invocations. It's fun if you are interested in playing a pure caster with great flexibility and utility. You'll have in your tool belt summons, damaging powers, CC and healing and buffs for your allies.

  13. I've played Fighter/Priest of Wael and its obviously super tanky, also while the weapon damage isn't that great casting Shining Beacon and Storm of Holy Fire with Tactical Barrage + Champions Boon gets you pretty respectable damage output for a tank. With blackjacket you could quickly swap to Magrans Favor + Sun and Moon in one set for up to +4 fire PL when you're blasting.

  14. Sawako is his stupid brain-dead avatar in the show, I'm pretty sure, so it's basically one and the same.

  15. What else? More like the guy who wrote Love Live! later (and, uhm, Steins;Gate), but yeah, blaming things on Sawako is NEVER wrong.

  16. Speaking of 13 episodes... finished the first episodes of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The protagonists are now JoJo the original JoJo's grandson and a character that was a sidekick in the first 10 episodes. We finally got a bit info about the stone mask that turned people (including Dio) into vampires. It's shortly before WWII and the German army is scouring the world for occult and mystic artifacts (Indiana Jones says hello). Turns out the mask was not unique. Somewhere in Mexico, an underground chamber had a LOT of them. All hanging around a pillar with a human like being embedded in it. With true German engineering skills, they move the man in the pillar to a test chamber and start experimenting. Long story short, JoJo (the new one, a bit of his sires power and none of his stiff upper lip) ends up at the same location when the the experiments (unexpectedly) backfires and the supreme being gets awakened from a 2000 year slumber. Being a clever boy, JoJo managed to eventually get him into sunlight, which most Dracula stories seems to agree on is bad for vampires. After the guy is completely stones, JoJo learns he was just one of several and he should go to Rome to talk to someone about the location of the next one. Once I'm done with this season, I think I'm going to watch some nice, calm comedy series for a bit

  17. Eh, if there's anything I *need* to respond to, I'll just do it anyway. It did, but in a kind of stupid and dissatisfying way - IIRC, it only manifested when two or more of the girls were fighting. Since Mugi was my favorite character, I was completely prepared to ignore how dumb of a way of showing it that was, though. I have a feeling that Sawako was responsible for writing that part of the script.

  18. I got through 13 episodes with only three or so posts, that should be all right in the end, but be my guest. If so then I don't know any names for it, at least, but yes, there are definitely similarities between the three. Considering that Honoka's VA is Meiling from CCS, I expect that she was told to try and sound like Tomoyo, because... for a moment I thought that was actually really Junko Iwao. But nah, it's "just" Meiling.

  19. You can also have a look at the Chanter. "The Dragon Thrashed" and "Come Sweet Winds" are DoT chants. The latter even heals you a bit (which technically makes you sturdier, too). You can again combine this with Paladin for the nice Brand Enemy ability (it is not only nice because it is an auto-hit - which is not only nice but awesome - but also because it is a really fast cast and has 0 recovery time, cheap, too). Add the Blackened Plate later in the game an play a Death Knight that just drains the life from all surrounding enemies passively - by just walking among them. And then curse their guts with Brand Enemy. Sturdy as hell, too. Exalted Endurance + Come Sweet Winds will stack their healing, several armor passives... You could solo with such a character because your DoTs will eventuall kill all enemies while you are too sturdy and have too much passive healing to get killed (if you are going for a shield setup). Or a Battle Axe + Bleeding Cuts for more melee DoTs. Saru Sichr (Morning Star): also nice. Invocations will come as piemont cherry on top.

  20. So I have decided to try my luck again with longer race in Assetto Corsa Competizione, in a 1 hour race with a mandatory tire change. On Monza with 50 cars on starting grid This time with Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO. Thankfully it was a community race, because Monza T1 is a nightmare at public lobbies, similar to Spa on my last video Anyway. I've messed up the Qualification, and ended up 34th Then after formation lap, I was destroyed again, this time even before crossing the Starting Line So I went to pits at the end of the second lap to repair the damage, and make the mandatory tire change, aaaand then I just tried to have fun driving around, and try to conserve the tires in a driving state until the end of the race. So my lap times were not very stellar To my surprise, after most of the other drivers got into the pits, I jumped over to 20th position, with two cars under 10 seconds before me, which were fighting, and that slowed them down. In the end, I was able to overtake both of them, and finished on a nice 18th place. In the end, what seemed to be ruined race even before it began, was pretty nice and enjoyable experience, where I moved up 16 positions, and had a lot of fun

  21. It's getting harder to not make per episode posts to be honest, but not for the reasons I usually do. I'm beginning to really enjoy this since the dumber villains are gone. I mean I liked it before, but now it's slowly getting really good. Not quite good enough to understand how this could have spawned 900 episodes, but maybe we'll get there by the end.

  23. I watched it 16 hours ago and didn't bother to look before I posted. I am once again POLNAREFF tier dumb. If it didn't want to make you do some self-mutilation, then that's a good sign.

  24. How about Paladin/Streetfighter with mortars? You will be very fast, sturdy enough and can apply Toxic Strike, Gouging Strike and Brand Enemy to a bunch of enemies very quickly. Gouging Strike and Brand Enemy never end - so it's a death sentence. Brand Enemy is even an auto-hit. Add some Arterial Strike against moving targets.

  25. I watched the first episode a while back and it was okay, but it didn't really grab me, probably because I didn't like the characters. Very angry shonen protagonist boy, twitch.tv stream-my-entire-life girl and her little twerp of a brother, a weak Ayanami-esque girl, and ambitious secret agent boy...all in some EPIC/DRAMATIC SPACE STORY. Eh, didn't really feel it.

  27. Flapjacks with maple syrup. I tried out this high protein pancake mix: It's not bad. Had someone just handed me a plate of these flapjacks I would never have suspected that they're not just plain ol' regular flapjacks. Side note: I rarely do sweet breakfast, I'm usually a greasy breakfast guy. I do corn beef hash & eggs, bacon & eggs, sausage & eggs... Basically, some manner of greasy meat product & eggs. My dad is a sweet breakfast guy and my mom often doesn't have breakfast at all. My sister has changed her diet so many times that I have no clue what she does for breakfast these days

  29. Played some DnD Eberron last night, a downtime session really, very relaxed, so I gulped down two bottles of wine while our group of brave adventurers were trying to scrape together enough money to eat after ressing my character. We spent most of the time thinking up silly acronyms to use for our group of spies as a cell name, Committee of Lackadaisical Inquisitive Travellers Obfuscating Rapid Intelligence Service, Dapper International Coalition of Kidnapping Spies, Curious Observ ers Conducting Knightly Services, Approved Special Spies Hunting Outrageous Leads Expecting Success, Spies Leveraging Undercover Tradecraft, League of Undercover Spies and Trackers were all turned down, eventually we hit upon "The Brain Cell" which is too good to turn down. It suits our group of nitwits to a T All that time wasn't completely wasted though since we also managed to generate a list of decent punny and/or suggestive names for the different stores populating the capital, we can now go and enjoy a drink at Meady Ogre, enjoy a raunchy night at the Seamens Stain, get arrested and thrown into the Wine Cellar, replace the ruined clothes at Sew and Tell, go and get washed at the eminent Golden Showers then head back to the Palad-Inn, and many, many more great places. Great fun!

  30. Yeah they're technically ability properties and not buffs so there shouldn't be any conflicts. The jankiest interactions are with flanking. Physically flanking stacks with everything. Flanking through perception afflictions and Phantom Foes does not stack with everything for deflection malus and -1 AR. But you can't just replace debuff-flanking with physical flanking, you have to un-flank them first, and then physically flank them. This means that there is much (perhaps unintentional) nuance with flanking. For example, you want to physically flank your target, AND THEN use Confounding Blind, or else the deflection malus won't stack with the flanking from perception affliction.

  31. as soon as i saw the name of this build, i immediately knew what weapon it was based on. real underrated weapon; it's not flashy and is super early, but that +5 deflection bonus with a shield is real nice. fun riposte build. do you find that you really need the extra engagements? if you pick up hold the line you have 2, and then you can switch to mob stance instead for recovery time bonus and free attacks.

  36. At the 2nd house for our trial run. No desktop PC's, no 4k OLED 55" (that's the 4k LED 43") no desk, no most of my stuff at all (I think we have a couple frying pans and we bought a toaster oven for this kitchen). Man, I'm in the wilderness, really roughin' it here, I'm not sure if I'll make it! ...probably won't be very net-active for a while tho. Too busy.

  37. The first five minutes sure were an all-out assault on my senses for some reason. The combination of Iso's trademark jerky animation and the weird depth this sometimes has makes my head spin. I hope this is going to be turned down a notch or two soon because otherwise that's going to be problematic moving forward. PAs speaking over characters with double lines of subtitles on screen just add to the overly convoluted feel of everything. I think I'll watch that one on the TV, the computer screen is definitely too close for comfort for this. Back to an episode or two of Futari wa Pretty Cure.

  38. Orbital Children 1: Netflix got me to watch it and it's actually good? So far it has explained a little through exposition conversation. Not the worst way to go about it, but I'm increasingly favorable to stuff that doesn't try to explain everything. People use something in their hands (not sure if it's an implant or a thin glove) that acts like a smartphone and there is a very unsubtle google analog, there's stuff like that which will feel familiar. In terms of animation and color it's bright without being like Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop and sort of whimsical in parts. @Bartimaeus may still want to gouge his eyes out, but it's not particularly offensive to me. I don't want to talk about plot much because I don't really know what it is yet, and given what @Sarex said and the fact someone involved with Evangelion is involved, I can tell this is going to get very weird. So a soft recommendation from me based on the start. Let's hope it's a fun ride.
