Hello, today I toyed around with Blightheart again. Usually I consider it for a wizard or paladin/wizard because the lashes on wizard spells are just nice and one of the few ways a wizard can increase spell dmg besides PLs, Overpenetration, crits and MIG (and stuff like Harley and Griffin's Blade). Also lashes are multiplicative dmg bonuses and I don't know any other source of multiplicative spell dmg increase besides PL. Anyway - I wanted to explore the other classes' option further so I tested the individual upgrades for each class Blightheart can have and what excactly they do: Chanter/Ranger/Wizard: Living Wood - 20% chance to cast Corrode Damage cone AoE from self and Hobble target on attack: this says "corrode" but actually it is a piercing AoE. I don't know the exact base damage because it's not listed anywhere and the hit roll scales with Power Level since it's an ability. But I think it's something between 10-15 and 12-18 or so. The hobbling effect lasts fairly long but is tagged with antidote so poison-immune enemies will be... well... immune. Driving Flight will give you higher chances of triggering Living Wood per shot of course. All in all it's not bad - occasional AoE with dmg and affliction. Heartbeat - heals 20% of the damage done by the weapon per 3.0 s for a short duration: That "short" duration is 6 sac bse if I'm not mistaken. It scales with INT naturally. It does't seem to heal 20% of the damage done per tick but rather takes the 20% of the damage done and devides it through the number of ticks you are going to get. So for example I did a shot taht caused 60 pierce dmg and got 4 healing per tick (for 9secs = 3 ticks). Not too great - but better than nothing. I mean getting healed by shooting things isn't bad. Especially if you can proloing it bc. it's a healing over time effect (see Wall of Draining). The damage done by Living Wood doesn't seem to have an effect on the healing, only the initial shot. Corrupting Beauty - nearby enemies will become Distracted after killing an enemy with the weapon for 20.0 sec: works as advertised. Nice touch and also nce in combo with Hamn of Decay (see right below). Chanter: Hymn of Decay - +1 Phrases per kill: So... I didn't think much about this before testing it today because I assumed that you have to kill enemies with Blightheart itself to get a phrase - like it works with other weapons that have on-kill-effects (see Grave Calling etc.). But no! It doesn't matter how you kill enemies - you will always get a phrase as long as the kill can be connected to you. Traps, Walls and Seals will not workm but everything else will. This makes a Chanter who focuses on damaging invocation and other abilites more fun. Wizard: Tainted Being - +10% Damage dealt as Corrode with spells: just great. Stacks with Eternal Devotion so you can have +10% corrode and +10% burn on your Wizard spells. Spicy. Ranger: Blighted Shot - Grants Blighted Shot (1 per encounter): this isn't too exciting because it doesn't do much besides applying hobbled and weakened for a rel. long amount of time. Scales like other active abilities it seems. Still: the worst of the class-specific enchantments if you ask me. So the only really exciting thing besides Tainted Being was the Hymn of Decay and that it works with any kill of the Chanter. So you can use the gun as stat stick basically and don't have to attack with it to be useful. I liked it on the Helwalker/Bellower test char I used it after discovering. The high dmg per invocation was a nice combo with the increased phrase generation. I hope you like it too - thanks and bye-bye.5 points

Finished Pathfinder Kingmaker for real this time, got the super secret true ending. As I said, in my eyes, this is the sequel we were promised for the IE games. Had this been done with the artstyle of Pillars of Eternity and more voice overs I would have said it even exceeded the old games.4 points

Yes! I've been using it with Konstanten as SC Skald. Empower with Sasha's Singing Scimitar, then swap to Blightheart. See the phrases accumulate as Eld Nary does what it does. Konstanten doesn't have...ideal Chanter stats but he does have a good chunk of Might, so he doesn't struggle to kill with Eld Nary and Seven Nights when he can hit with them. As a Skald, he can spam offensive invocations like crazy. I supposed an optimised Skald would do better focused on melee crits but this is a good substitute if you want them on the backline.3 points

Good lord, this show could've used somebody else writing the titles. Not only are they ridiculously long, they spoil waaay too much. This episode had the worst title I've seen yet.2 points

And that one had some big issues hat make it torture to actually play lmao. Kingmaker is a pretty good pnp translation (with the Call of the Wild mod it's a really good one, even if it still has the warts of a 3e derivative) with some fun encounters but Owlcat couldn't quite pad the adventure path they adapted enough to deliver a really grand adventure and I really couldn't give two ****s about most of the party (ironically the best companion is only in the Varhold dlc and there isn't much interaction with him in the main game). Compared to the other IE derivatives it solidly blows out Torment (which was just bad tbh) and for me ends up somewhere below PoE (which was awful when released but got balanced into a good game). I hope Wrath of the Righteous ends up better, and so far it looks promising, but I'm easy to please so I'll probably be able to enjoy hacking some demons up.2 points

Is anyone still caring about game journalism? I haven't checked out game reviews in years.2 points

Oh no! Is there super secret ending as well? I don’t care. As soon as I see credits rolling I am done with this pile of ****e. Tried to tie it up again, rescued all the companions and am trying to explore N’s hideout. I think Kingmaker could be a medicare 20-30h adventure, if they cut all the padding. Adaptation of the table top system might be faithful but the campaign is the worst one since Neverwinter Nights1.2 points

I live right up on Lake Superior. We're been in some kind of 'polar vortex system' or some such nonsense (that's what people keep calling it, I have no idea if it's actually accurate) for like a week here, and it's been negative 20 to negative 25 each night...without windchill. Some of the nights, the wind chill has been -40 or worse. I, too, question why I live here...until I remember that housing in my particular area is relatively sane, the summers aren't nearly as bad as the rest of the state thanks to being right on Superior (and I hate summer a lot more than winter, so that's important), and the water is so amazingly good that I dread the day I ever have to go somewhere else (you wouldn't think this is that important, but I cannot understate how nice it is to have pure crystalline tap water that is legitimately better than filtered water most everywhere else). I'm not happy with the cold, but I'll happily take it relative to my other options...so here is where I'll stay while I can, .2 points

Yeah, it should be noted that when I've said "Sailor Moon [the show] is really dumb", it's not to mean that the show was unintelligently made, it's more that, uh...even with all of the show's/manga's shortcomings (most of which are a result of following its formula way too heavily when there really was no need for it ever do so, since it's clearly written more than well enough that it could have eschewed its formula plenty of times without any issue...) and the fact that it was primarily made for young teen girls, it's really more that *I'm* so dumb that I still find it so good. Even more amazing since it was only just barely produced and only on the absolute shoestringiest of budgets to begin with - there's no reason for it to be as funny, lovable, and well-made as it is. The shortcomings are there, but they got the most important bits right...well...up until SuperS anyways, . I'd actually already heard the Sailor Stars theme since I'm a complete data hoarder and have all the music collections for each season/movie (plus that giant 10 CD box set of just instrumentals from all 5 seasons and the movies). Not that I've listened to each track yet, but I did a small amount of perusing in advance to make sure that I liked the music well enough that I'd want each one, and the Sailor Stars theme was one I happened to hear. I don't like it as much as the original theme, but with that said...it's a lot more restrained and at least half-decent compared to some of the other jpop music I've happened to hear that was made for this show, so at least there's that, . And then I hear the German version and...suddenly I'm a lot more thankful for the jpop song, .2 points

Yeah - non-melee Skald sounds like the kind of counterintuitive out-of-the-box thing I would like to play. Assassin/Bloodmage also sounds nice - the dmg bonus on crit paired with the multipl. lash: cool. If Inspired Beacon wouldn't have such abysmal recovery and short duration then a Paladin/Bloodmage with Eternal Devotion and Blightheart would also be a very good offensive caster - besides the obvious defensive goodies.2 points

Only problem with chanter bonus from Blightheart is that wizard bonus exists xD2 points

Oh, wow. Just started Sailor Stars. I never realized it had a different opening theme song in the original version. It's weird, they've changed it to a J-pop track. Intro contains no spoilers: And I've learned that there are two versions of the German dub: One where the Sailor Moon theme song always stayed the same (the German Eurodance track was so awesome is was adapted for the Netherlands, Croatia and Russia) and apparently one where the music was changed for each opening sequence for re-runs. I only ever heard the same track, and if someone would have told me that the German dub of Sailor Moon had more than one theme song I would have laughed at them. Huh, this is weird. I just checked, the updated versions are on YouTube as well, with people arguing back and forth that this was never the theme song. Huh. The hell, German TV stations, the hell? This is the first opening with the Eurodance track that I heard for the almost 200 episodes (there are 200 episodes, but I apparently missed some the first time around). edit: I totally love how the first Sailor Moon Sailor Stars episode pretends like SuperS never happened, except for one key detail* everything looks like it just picked up from the end of Sailor Moon S.2 points

Finished Wasteland 3. Great game, but there are things that really sucked. My philosophy in these games is to get my main skills etc. high as soon as I can and to specialize everyone. Modding and bargaining are a pain in the rear. The lack of sorting and filtering for weapons and armor is plodding. On normal level, the battles are trivial, which leads to lazy play. For example, there's no real lasting consequence for someone going down on normal, so I tended to rush in a lot and just heal up. Some battles lent themselves to planning and if it looked tough, I'd position my squad, but mostly just rolled over folks. The armored vehicle was fun, but I didn't get to use it very often. The cut scene with Liberty was cheesy as all such scenes are. Okay, this is what I hate most, though: For all that, I enjoyed the game immensely. I've got a full week coming up, but maybe I can start a game at a little higher difficulty and tweak my choices.2 points

I made a big batch of my world country state county town household famous chili to take on the road with me. Chili is perfect for this situation since it's 99% as good nuked as when first cooked, it keeps in the (mini) fridge for a good while, and it's great in cold weather. I'm currently in Wisconsin and headed for Minnesota tomorrow, so that last part very much applies. I really nailed the spiciness this time around.2 points

I was, but I also think that the original is bad too. It would have been much stronger if it was outright an interactive novel or whatever, but playing it (with the restoration mods) is basically hacking your way through tons of boring encounters to get to any good bits. I should say that I didn't play any IE game at release as NWN was out when I was starting to play D&D and finding games was difficult for a kid without too much money or knowledge. When I did start playing them I had the benefits of tons of mods, so I should note that my BG2 experience is significantly different than someone who played it vanilla at launch. I have never played without it. What I saw of the kingdom minigame was a lot like the PoE2 ship combat minigame so I ran the hell away as fast as I could. I hope Wrath of the Righteous army minigame is more streamlined and less time consuming.1 point

I didn't expect either of you to actually watch it. There went my one chance to actually rickroll someone, and I wasted it. Well, no, showing someone the glory that were the early EAV music videos is not a waste. Be optimistic here. On topic, for a change: Sailor Moon Sailor Stars...1 point

I think you're regarding BG1 with a fair bit of the rose tinted there. You tend to forget all the the times you got wiped by kobolds in the Nashkel mines with their ludicrous crit dealing bows shooting your mages and thiefs or when you stumbled into an Ogre who gibbed everyone in 3 rounds just outside Candlekeep because it's been 23 years and you know what is coming. Or that literally every in game problem could be solved by, well, summoning allies, then summoning more allies and summoning more again. Kingmaker is a game where you absolutely should ignore any hard encounter and come back to it later. Unfortunately modern gaming has conditioned people to believe that that is bad design and you should be able to win everything first attempt and do everything in any order. That is of course why we have level scaling, it's also why you have games like Oblivion where you not only can win with a lvl 2 character but it's actively easier to do so with one. Give me unforgiving pull yourself up by your bootstraps you pathetic loser and git gud old school any day instead of the gaming equivalent of mummy delivering me chicken tendies and telling me how special I am for beating a daedric lord who's been level scaled down to gobbo class.1 point

First things first, Weird Al is a genius. I love his music, and I enjoy parodies in general - more so than most comedy types, Kabarett aside. One of my favorite groups is EAV, which was an Austrian comedy group (they recently retired) that made everything from complete nonsense to scathing satire and social commentary. Musically they emulated whatever theme their songs required which, funny as they were, if you don't understand the lyrics, you might find offensive. Look at this video, it has the entire band in yellowface, seemingly making a mockery of the type of generic east-asian music that you'd maybe hear in any Faux-Chinese restaurant (at least in ours) and faking an indistinct asian German accent while singing (warning, not safe for work): It's a complete riot. Right. Well you know already that I'm really focused on vocalists, something that immensely limits what I can enjoy listening to, e.g. the Metallica albums I have are there simply for the sake of having them, I don't actively listen to Metallica, I can barely stand James Hetfield's singing at the best of times. Not sure why, but comedy music is an exception where the fun of the lyrics outweigh the vocalist if they're not at the top of their game. Weird Al can do both though. I was surprised to hear him rap (and that quite well even, I of course can't stand most rap) in White & Nerdy. Uhm, lost track of the point. Oh, right, well maybe you can get two or three episodes further somehow, that should make you immune to most of the more annoying Sailor Moon S spoilers you could potentially get from carelessly clicking around in this topic, or we can keep posting to a minimum for a bit.1 point

I wouldn't complain, if the checks were static, instead of chance-based, so I would be able to pass them from the start or level up and return or unable completely. As it was, most checks were possible to pass with enough persistence. Building the PC in a specific manner with some certainty that the build is viable is RPG (also, roleplay); RNG is not (unless it's combat and DE did not have a combat system).1 point

Quoted for truth. If you don't know anything else, excellent tap water is a boon that you only really start to appreciate when you're someplace else where it is... well, terrible, and potentially dangerous.1 point

If you are talking about the Tenebrous depths, then yeah the spawn creature was way harder. The secret final boss I defeated just by right clicking on him. This is on normal difficulty at least. It would have probably been even easier if I respect Amiri to a greataxe and used the end game greataxe with the x4 crit multiplier. Even still my dual wield Paladin cut through pretty much everything by the end game.1 point

The fun and longevity in this game is constantly starting over to try new builds - at least for me I have almost 1000 hours and have only rolled credits once. Would encourage you to embrace that if you can. If this is to be your only playthrough, I would focus pretty singlemindedly on what you find most satisfying to play (combat and roleplay) and make the rest fit into place. This isn't the type of game where your class choice is going to be so weak as to lock you out of content if you're using all the tools the game gives you. So if finishing the content is your concern (as opposed to being the strongest character possible) I wouldn't worry about it. I believe that Wizards have more reactivity than Ciphers, especially because of the Forgotten Sanctum DLC, but I've never played a Cipher myself. I've never bothered doing a megaboss myself just because I kinda loathe that kind of encounter design (radically different parameters to normal encounters) but if you're using a party I'm sure you will be able to figure out strategies for them. It's more about executing specific strategies than having characters "strong" enough to beat them toe to toe. With party options, you will be able to find such a strategy. Hope this helps somewhat.1 point

Not sure if this has been suggested before, but I’d love to see them open up the shed at some point as it’s own biome. Perhaps even with mice or rats as a potential enemy encounter. If they wanted to go even further with this, there could be toys in the shed that need to be repaired before they can be used by the player, such as a toy boat for the pond or a toy plane. This could be a late game upgrade to strive toward. Though perhaps this may be better as a dlc. Also love the sand pit idea that I think someone mentioned earlier :)1 point

セーラームーンSuperSリスト? マジェスティックは評価を行います! Sailor Moon SuperS list? majestic does ratings! Japanese provided by google translate. It's probably totally wrong and reads something totally different. Sailor Moon SuperS consists of thirty nine episodes, making it the third longest season after Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R. Questionable creative decisions and the thematic premise of the material this is loosely adapted from aside, there are some episodes that were quite good, some that were okay, but also - and I think that is a first for the run of Sailor Moon up until that point - episodes that are actually terrible. Or at least they were for me. This list is written under the premise that: An episode can be extremely hilarious but still bad because everyone acts like they have been replaced by alien shapeshifters Ignoring character development in Sailor Moon S is annoying even if it makes for fun scenes Usagi and Chibi-Usa being immature and/or fighting over Mamoru is a joke that cannot carry more than half of the 39 episodes by itself You can are enough for fictional, drawn characters to feel bad for the victims of the dream mirror rape scenes, because these scenes are really, really uncomfortable to watch if you do The last point is not a character judgement in general. I know that there are people who cannot identify at all with drawn characters or non-human characters like robots in films for instance (Jay Bauman is someone like that, and doubt that he's a sociopath incapable of understanding emotional distress in others). If you're not bothered by the first three then you might have a good deal of fun. The anime tried to go back to its focus on the super silly from Sailor Moon rather than trying to keep a good balance of fun, thematic exploration, character pieces and serious mode episodes like they did in Sailor Moon S. Every now and then you get the feeling that parts of these episodes were drawn and made based on the early manga chapters but for some reason shuffled back to almost the end of the season run. It adds to the immensely disjointed feeling this season gives when watching. Some of the themes and scenes were maybe made before the show was re-tooled into aping the first season more than building on what happened before. This would also explain where these complete filler episodes come from where seemingly nothing happens at all, filled with random characters that show up once, where Usagi and Chibi-Usa are only there because they need to defeat a monster, and no other main character appears. The presence of this very clear sexual assault theme in the first part of the Dead Moon arc speaks for this, in my opinion. This is really, really out of place in the otherwise childlike fun feeling the episodes are supposed to (and do!) transport. This was probably meant as the underlying thematic exploration for at least a part of the season, but it falls completely flat because nothing happens with it. That the season's enemies aren't nearly as fun, interesting and, ahem, loveable as the Death Busters from Sailor Moon S, even if the Amazoness Quartet comes close, isn't that much of a problem. Following the Professor and his weird bunch of assistants was a tough act to follow even if everyone brought their A-game for Sailor Moon SuperS. The Amazoness Quartet are just children that were given immense magical power by the Dead Moon. Their dialogue, mannerisms and actions all perfectly reflect this (unlike, say, the mannerisms of a certain creepy horse). They're childlike, innocent at times, but utterly creepy in a good way. In other words, they're exactly what would happen in real life if you'd give four immature young girls the magical power to do whatever they want (and prevent them from ever growing up). Now, for the list, with some annotations perhaps. Just FYI, I started writing this post yesterday. That took a while. Well, I did some other stuff in between, but this was the longest I've spent writing on a forum since 2003's Iraq war discussions on YYOP back on the IPLY forums.1 point

I have a few suggestions/feature requests below that would be very helpful for session proofing a map so a players map isn’t destroyed by visiting players. I personally play with gamers from all walks of life (OG gamers, younger gamers, prankster, toxic, newbie, etc. etc.) so there are many circumstances where a player might want some “map security” so hard work is not undone (accidentally or otherwise) Could we have some multiplayer player permission settings at the Multiplayer load screen or within the in-game option menu? It would be great if there was some ON/OFF settings for each player listed in the game session. Allow visiting player to editing buildings & structures ON/OFF Allow visiting player to create blueprints ON/OFF Allow visiting players to build on existing blueprints ON/OFF Allow player to recycle items ON/OFF Allow player to use limited resource items (example: mint) ON/OFF Allow player to access unique items (example: rotten bee armor, rotten larva blade) ON/OFF Allow players to access/use/Build: TIER 1 items ON/OFF TIER 2 items ON/OFF TIER 3 Items ON/OFF Allow player access to private/public storage chests ON/OFF ANOTHER POSSIBLE SOLUTION Perhaps we could have an section of “Ominent” lab that is accessible ONLY to the game host. It could be placeable anywhere not the map/base. Inside could be private storage chests, private areas, a “Gounded” version of the TARDIS? Something like a pre-fabricated lab room that only the map owner could access/place on map. A feature like this would help restrict access and prevent frustration related to visiting players who may affect a map. EVEN ANOTHER POSSIBLE SOLUTION Allow a map host to set areas that are locked from editing/recycling. Perhaps “off limits” tape similar to your “UNDER CONSTRUCTION” tape that indicates an area that can be edited by visiting players? It would be great if there could be boundaries defined to where a visiting player can edit, build, or delete structures/idems. Thanks for considering additional player/map security options. It would be great to see a way to protecting blueprints, existing structures, or other items from visiting players. I am sure gamers would like an option to share a world with friends without worrying about people using or destroying unique items (Rotten Bee Armor) depleting limited resources (Mint Chunk) or simply deleting something. Thanks1 point

I am in favor of all of these ideas. I would also like servers that friends can play on 24/7 whether the host is online or not.1 point
