5 seconds. ... I have no idea what pixel count or file size would cause actual browser issues (vs. simply net speed). Probably depends on what this forum software/script can handle. Also: I like the motorbikes a lot more than cars, so far, simply because for some reason they're a lot easier to steer w/a controller. And they look great with overdone lens flare! Just random.3 points

btw, is anyone else having trouble picking up placed world/ground items/loot? It occurs maybe 15% of the time for me - they aren't visually glitching into the ground, you just can't interact no matter how you move around it. Not bothersome when it's just "junk" but annoying when it's a lore recording or anything else more important. Like this guy was practically sitting on one and no matter what angle I crouched or jumping on his head etc. I couldn't click it.3 points

Every morning: "I'm going to barrel my way through some main quest because I really want to open up the world..." Result: "Wonder what's down there. Ooo, lootbox bonanza! I wonder how far this road/sewer/path goes. Are those more gangs I can murderdeathkill? I wonder what that giant building is. You-shall-not-pass! (darn) Is that a ship?"3 points

So I got into making spells, have made a few already, but then I noticed some concepts were harder to achieve because the caster/player would theoretically select more than one possible outcome. Let me give an example: Druid: Lesser/Greater Blight This spell does NOT allow the Druid to choose which elemental creature appears. Instead, the choice is random. It does have the effect of an invisible menu, after all, you have more than one possible result, however, you do not have a handy icon or text based list query allowing you to confirm what it is you want. So I noticed how much more diverse spells could be if they either had mini icon menus, like the Fighter's 3 stances or certain druid's options to shapeshift into their choice of 4-5 different beasts. Is there a way to make one of these mini-menus as an ability, then populate it with UUIDs related to effects like summon/conjure/transform/etc. ? I was briefly inspired by the summoned monster action/spell mini menus, as that seems to point to the following chain: player->selected spell caster character->magic->level list->summoned creature choice->mini menu i think im trying to invert/add one step: player->selected spell caster character->spell list->level list->mini menu->creature summoned2 points

I'd say that superior attitude is not a really good way to approach life in general - especially if my trail of thought resembled the boisterous capers of a besotted chipmunk - but what do I know, right?2 points

A New Life. Target: Vinnie Sinistra. He's in the witness protection program living in a wealthy suburb surrounded by FBI and my client wants him dead. Also, apparently he has evidence tucked away in a microfilm attached to some jewelry and my client wants me to retrieve it. Off we go... The feds will search anyone entering the house and only allow welcome guests so I have to tuck my silenced pistol in a food catering van here and let the driver carry it in. This clown suit is perfect to slip in the house w/o drawing attention, I think I'll sedate him and take his suit. FBI agent searches me upon entering and sees that I'm a simple unarmed clown with an invite for Sinistra's sons birthday. Ok, there's the tray I put my gun in! The caterer delivered it just fine past the FBI agents and they only searched his body not the tray so let me pull out my silenced pistol and tuck it away.. Sinistras wife has a thing for clowns apparently, lucky me! She does have that microfilm I need tucked away in her necklace, as Intel reports. Got it! She didn't suspect a thing and led me to the the back room with no FBI agents present so I had an opportunity to take her out and grab the microfilm. It's Ok, I used a sedative so she'll survive the encounter. No it's time to go after Sinistra, just let me sneak up the stairs here past the FBI agents and into his small study area... After waiting a bit , he comes in alone without FBI bodyguards, I got you in my sights you prick. Headshot! Mission accomplished! I have the kill and the microfilm so I casually head out, put the Suit back on in the back of the clown truck and escape the crime scene.2 points

Just don't get carried away by all the Cyberpunk/Fallout 4/Dragon Age 2-4 casualization. Dialog enriches with lots of choices and answers, and a voiced character turns any RPG into a movie. Anyone has a suggestion for Obsidian on this?1 point

There are a few simple reasons these issues may be happening, but you probably didn't code them wrong so I don't know if they would be applicable. If you chose to hide it from the gui or if it's an effect from multiple layers of linked effects, then it won't show up. If the effect isn't applied directly from a hit, but from linked effects connected to it, then it might not show in the combat log.1 point

i had mixed results with a folder in my override/my_mod/gui/icons/abilities/my_icon_L.jpg and my_icon_S.jpg i was using a grimoire as my test and while being dragged between slots, the large icon loads normally. While accessing the spellbook section, in the upper left corner of the spellbook, the circle image also displays a small version of the icon. HOWEVER, when the grimoire is either slotted on Aloth (or any other wizard) or stuck in inventory (personal or group) the icon reverts to a big red X on white square. This partial success/failure confounds me, though I admit I skipped the Atlas step in this version. my previous attempts with the Atlas method of 2 icons, large and small, were met with no icon at all. I feel as if the fact that at least some of my icons showed up some of the time, means there's more going on than I understand.1 point

I found a solution for this problem for players from Turkey. Try change your language from Turkish to English(UK) then start the game. This fixed my problem. Hope it is helpful.1 point

Look on bright side, there is such a large time frame between their releases. The quest with the wannabe Jesus was pretty funny, nice quest that goes completely sideways.1 point

Legally the settlement with the DoJ meant they just had to add a disclaimer to the compiler/ libraries. Gimping opponents' performance was OK- so long as they told people they were doing it (and didn't bribe people into using the compiler). Should be noted though: perhaps unsurprisingly CDPR wasn't actually using Intel libraries (presumably like most/ all they use MSVC), though the reason for no SMT was perhaps equally as odd; they seem to have included a 3 year old code snippet intended for situations where SMT gives a net loss of performance instead of a gain.1 point

I’m glad you’re enjoying the build. After the initial blanket nerfs that needlessly over-corrected the power creep that was in place on release, I felt the build lost lots of its punch. Rather than adapt it and roll with the punches, I decided to publish a mod that did away with the nerfs I thought were unwarranted and kept those I thought were warranted. That mod is Deadfire Unnerfed, linked in my signature. At that point I could play the build again, experimenting with different equipment, but I couldn’t publish any of that—no point in publishing a build I’ve only tested with a mod not everybody’s gonna be using. That being said, I believe a Ghost Heart / Ascendant (which I’m playing now) is strictly better than a Brawler for DPS. Next playthrough I’ll be trying a Devoted / Ascendant. I won’t publish any of that because my game is heavily modded, but I reckon these builds would fare well in the unmodded game too.1 point

I'll put it like this. The game is amazing. Stunning in every way. Both real time and turn-based combat modes play exceptionally well, and the choices based off of reputation, skill, attributes, as well as abilities make you feel like your choices matter; from your race and general disposition, to the abilities you take on the perk tree. Now, this being said, I have a bone to pick with the game. This game at it's core has been about Fantasy, Adventure, Power, and Choices. The first and second game (for the most part) do a very good job of giving scratching all 4 of those itches. In the second game, you become THE HERALD OF BERATH (now that's a title right?). The scene on the docks where you can show the harbor master "what you are" is a scene that I will never forget. Now, tell me why, in a game that does such a good job with power scaling, and making you feel like you're the next best thing to a god, makes your power utterly insignificant in the end. You're the Watcher, with the Gods at your back, and you can't stop Eothas. No matter what you do. No matter your choices. You can only influence how he goes about it. In a game about choices, I felt betrayed by how little my choices mattered in the end. And by the fact, that in the end, I don't even get to see the product of those choices in anything but ending slides. This was not how this game should have ended. And I must admit, when all the characters in the game were telling me, to my face, that there was no way to stop Eothas, I didn't believe them. I thought there must be something. So at the end of the game, my Passionate/Benevolent character decided to fight against the inevitable, to save the wheel, to protect the world and the experiment the gods created. To give MY world a chance to beat the gods at their own game. And through my efforts, and carefully planned decisions, and character building, I..... Was immediately destroyed and absorbed by Eothas and nothing I did mattered, and I may as well have never made this character to begin with because it left me with a pointless, and futile ending. The journey was amazing. The destination made my journey insignificant. Made who my character was, insignificant. Made his aspirations, insignificant. In embracing the fact that I could never stop Eothas, it killed what this game was about. The Fantasy, was cut down by the harsh reality that a mortal cannot challenge a god. The adventure, was made utterly pointless. I may as well of listened to Eothas and waited for the end. The Power I felt I had in this world, was nothing in comparison to Eothas. And The Choices? The never mattered to begin with. That's why, for as much as I love these 2 games, I really wouldn't recommend them to someone I know would be as invested in them as I was. Because it was heartbreaking. To the casual player? Amazing games, 9/10, they should absolutely buy and play both of the games. But man. This game burned me.1 point
