I thought work had stopped on this project after...  what was it, 1.6 or 1.7?  Apparently not.  Does this version fix the red sky bug?

That's one of the games I'm sad I can't play. It looks like balls to the wall fun.

I appreciate Platinum Games' dedication to sheer lunacy.  They just go completely over the top ridiculous in the pursuit of goofy fun and don't try to pretend to be even making an attempt for any sort of gritty realism, even though gritty realism is all the rage these days.

Sucks that Bayonetta 2 won't be appearing on any other platforms, but the game wouldn't have been made at all if Nintendo hadn't stepped in, so you can't blame them for making it an exclusive.

Bayonetta 2 gameplay from Comic Con

...

As expected, it looks completely ludicrous.  :dancing:

Cheese and crumpets. Just needs a little table wine to wash it down...

Wait is that perhaps horror? From Bioware? The horror of it all.

Colour me interested

Two sites apparently linked to the game:

Oh god, what if the university is the setting of the game....... A bioware game set at a university.

Impressions of Star Ruler 2.  Never did play much of the first one, but hey, can't have too many Space 4X games.

Well I'm intrigued myself - although I'm not trusting Woods-Watson Institute - not one word on their accredidation on that website. ;)

That said "Powers of the Mind Club Day" on August 18th.

A class "Explorations of Percival Fawcett: 1927-1956" - Percy Fawcett is the explorer who disappeared searching for the Lost City "Z". In 1925.

A class "Literature of Barbara Newhall Follett: 1965-1985" - Follett also disappeared, famously, after writing two novels in her teens that achieved critical notice; then a few more manuscripts before disappearing in 1939.

And finally a class "Martial Tactics versus Incorporeal Entities"

Yup, I'm interested.

Interested until I heard it was Bioware.

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

Well if it is a horror RPG, I'm hoping you can create your character.

Whether that is choosing how smokey your head is or what color your hoodie is, I don't know.

Quote
“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

-Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>>
Quote

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

Sweet, I've been meaning to run through Dragonfall again somewhere down the line.

I need to decide if I'll run through once beforehand or just wait.

Run through it now, it's amazing, not overly long, and you will have no trouble playing it a second time close together.

This news makes me happy.  This is still the best kickstarter project I've backed at this point.

I got intimidated when I kept seeing cool alternate paths that my mage couldn't use. :(

A 12 minute long explanation video of what Risen 3 is all about:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4efkoiswjc

I must say it looks.. delicious. Animations are much better now (ragdolls look cool), the levels seem more diverse and more open than in previous games and swimming is back. Maybe Risen 4 will have both climbing and diving back?

Anyhow, I'm much more interested after watching that video.

Have to admit I never finished my attempt at Dragonfall either. Not through any fault of the game, but I got distracted, and as it so often tends to happen, a big enough lapse in time in the middle of playing a game leads to difficulty in going back to it. So this news is just what the doctor ordered I guess.
