I personally don't mind buffing process ( after playing 6 years of WoW im used to it, especially in Vanilla half of the raid progress was buffing ) but i think its best to use "short duration buffs" like impoved mantle in D&D very powerfull yet not long enough to buff before battle. Or maybe some buffs that hinders our characters (like Haste/barbarian rage) in long term so we need to be carefull when using them.

Baldurs Gate 2 have some neat puzzles, riddles in conversations, physical puzzles like "coding" a gods name by using letters on the ground (Hey Indiana ) or placing some objects to their right places. The problem with puzzles(if they only require player IQ) is they are good only when you solve them first time and mostly ignores our avatars stats/situation. I really dont think my 3 int 8 wisdom half orcish barbarian was able to solve any puzzles but he was faster than my all other characters because i remembered every one of them puzzles. Also another point, i really want to see puzzles as an optional objectives. While i love them there are lots of players who see them as chores. It would be good to let them avoid puzzles or solve therm with right stats.

Well, they can follow Oblvilion and make a quest about defending the rats from evul cats! Or they can be intelligent beings who actually are some alien form outer space and just looks very like as rats. -

Always sounds good in theory. Not always so great in practice. But I know what you mean. If Dungeon Keeper 3 was ever going to be made, I would be so excited, hoping and hoping....of course, since EA owns it, even if they decided to make one, my hopes would likely be dashed quickly .... RELEASE THE BILE DEMONS! I really don't want any EA related company lay hands on Dungeon Keeper but its unlikely. Soon they will release it as a F2P game i guess maybe after C&C Generals (another IP slaughthered...) Well enough off topic, sorry :/

This. The only reason i use paladins in IE games that they can use Holy Avengers. Nothing more They are better in third edtion games but still they are just warrior clerics for me. I dont mind Obi changing the into Warlords.

I vote for Fallout stylish gore too (1-2 and tactics stye ofc) Fire magic burns, cold magic shatters, lighting disintegrates, slashing weapons dismembers, blunt weapons crushes, death magic/curses rots and acidic attacks melts. Give me bloodshed dammit

I dont think Obsidian will release the game in April 2014 if its not ready. Its just a place holder/estimation for now. And as stated many times above by other forumites there wont be full voice over, overtop CGIs or full rendered cinematic. 18-24 months will be fine. I think, i have zero experince in making games so i can be completely wrong. -

Well, i was mainly speaking from our (players) perspective. Even if Devs won't create some shortcuts/real cheats for the game, there will be debugging console commands(IE games and NWN) or some trainer programs/small mods made by some modders(DAO Fade and Deep tranches cut) or some strange bugs that overpowering abusive players(Diablo 3 undying Barbarian/Wizard) . Not even MMORPGs are untouchable in this regard. Like bot programs, makros. Humanity will always find a way to cheat and always be in a search for shortcuts:) it is in our very nature.

Seriously, you are just being ridiculous. DONT USE THEM! No one is forcing you. You dont want to use them, fine, then dont. Simple as that. Noone is going to force you to use them if they do please send them to me. Everything rely on the players, are you really naive enough to think even if Obsidian wont include some exit/shortcuts, every player will finish it in one go and wont try to "cheat"? There will be mods, console commands, trainers maybe even cheatcodes which can be used to exit Mega dungeon. And about your link, try playing only with that(derp) face in Expert Trials of Iron mode.
