  1. The spoiler is for POE1 not 2. The spoiler he meant to share was for POE1. The one he blurted out and hastily tried to cover with redirection was for POE2.I completely missed the spoiler for Deadfire then. Good for me?
  2. Yeah but she's kind of a giant **** to everybody while she does it. She treats Geralt terribly throughout the game and it's played as some sort of epic troubled romance, but she's just really mean to him all the time. When she accused him of cheating on her when he was amnesiac and being lied to, I decided she was pretty terrible and I hated her.So is Geralt. She can be brutal, but also tends to be right. Isn’t it excusable for her to be furious that Geralt ****ed her best friend? “Yen, I lost my memory. Is that your excuse?” It’s not cool. I would be disappointed if she just accepted that. She calms down quite a bit, if you continue her romance.
  3. On, I think it’s here that W3 is really brilliant. Geralt did love her in books and he can love her in W3. However, for two games he has been in love with Triss, due to amnesia. Now who is Geralt at this point? I think that very much depends on your perspective as a player. I can imagine that Yen might be just as odd pick for someone who played games only. Story wise PR used a neat trick with releasing the genie to give a way for Geralt to break connection he shared with Yen. A very neat way to get out, and really lovely scene if you want to continue the romance.
  4. What if! All skills were lvl1 and power level would scale them properly. Power Level interacts on such individual level with each ability that’s tricky to figure out. Add to that that some abilities are tied to character level as well.
  5. Yes, that’s is correct. It doesn’t make it easier to detect you, just makes stealth UI useless to you, as you are shown as detected at all times.
  6. I struggle to find use for a rogues in PoE, though I like'm much more in Deadfire than I did in PoE1. My Eder, will probably do the same think he did in majority of my PoE1 playthroughs - get hit in the face a lot. Give him shield and some other weapon (considering mace this time for -1AR debuff). Use "pull" to protect backline, charge and kockdown for interupts (if charge will actually work in final build:-). I am aiming for single class first run, though I am tempted to multiclass Pallegina with a chanter.
  7. I would agree. I really don't care if my summons, or dominated characters get injured or die. At least an additional subtoggle would be welcome.
  8. There is also a shortcut for it in control options to be set up for an easy access.
  9. You will be able to buy expansions seperately for sure. As for other content - no, if PoE1 is any indication. While it is difficult to confirm now, as PoE1 is being sold as Definitive Edition only, from what I can remember there was to way to upgrade standard edition, beyond buying another copy.
  10. Yes, better feedback in no. 1 priority: what each order does exactly, what chances enemy has to hit me right now, how will my next move influence my aim, evasion damage potential. Cook decreases amount of food consumed - in previous beta it would show it when hovered over food counter (amount of food consumed per day - cook bonus). Surgeons are supposed to decrease heal time. Deckhands seem to influence top speed - in first battle I did, I moved at half maximum speed (I think it was around 36 fullsail, and 18 half sail) but once they levelled up the ship moved in full speed. Experienced cannoneers increase aim (by how much?). I assumed that long turn/jibe time is tied to helmsman level however this tweet by Josh suggest that it might be a feature of the ship: https://mobile.twitter.com/jesawyer/status/979788920282992640 So you can have smaller, weaker but potentially faster and manouverable ships, or more sluggish ones with a greater firepower. I have no idea if it’s possible to accelerate manouvers with high level helmsman. Captain level dictates how many orders per round a player can make. At least that’s how it was before. With movement not being restricted on round basis, rounds lost much of their meaning. If the system is still in, that would mean potential free moves taken by higher level captain but not much else. In addition to that, captain level is supposed to dictate chances of gaining “advantage” at the start of each round. 50-50roll if captains are the same level, and favouring higher level captains if they are not but by how much - I don’t know. Again, happy to see the “advantage” indicator, but a little more feedback would make it better - seeing roll being made and chances of it. Ha! But other special events are much more common. A big fan of those! Not much of an issue with full crew, but on vessels with less spare manpower those could be interesting. Vithrak ship boarding was already bugged in previous build. Reported it and still no fix! Disgrace.
  11. Lore question: What is the difference between kith and animal soul? The unsuccessful “Salvation” suggests that animal souls are incompatible with kith body, however Persoq and previous elder from Saganis village both get reborn as animals. Do souls change depending on what body they inhabit? Do animals receive only souls which were so fractured that they are not fit for more complex beings? Is it possible that my Watcher was a ferret in his previous incarnation?
  12. Haha, no, I don’t think so. There is no “panties” slot in the inventory and it is not part of character customisation.
  13. Yeah, it’s fine. It makes absolute sense that sailors would hunt and gather food in their free time rather than stuffing their faces with hardtacks, and go to tavern when in port. It’s a good change.
  14. Sort of. I tend to treat journal more like a part of an UI than the world. I want it to be as functional as possible. I don't use journal for immersion, but to remind myself what quest I took and abandoned long time ago, or to refresh a location of a quest I want to do. Ideally journal shouldn't be a part of a quest, and often enough I would complete quests in PoE1 without consulting the journal.
  15. 8 ) Beza's Toothed Blade still doesn't have base stats (speed, damage), just enchatments making it rather useless 9) Fighter's Charge seems to be broken. The ability doesn't have much info in description (range, damage) and doesn't seem to do much. You click on it, it activated, eats up discipline and nothing. 10) Thank you message! Work in progress:-)
  16. It seems that Obsidian has listened and resource drain from ship management has been drastically reduced. Changes are fairly logical, though I must admit, I did like how it would communicate that time is passing on and your crew is still waiting. While changes are fine and I imagine welcomed by many people as they make exploring feel much more safe. Too safe IMO. From what I have oberved here are the changes: 1) Food and water is consumed only when on sea - when you explore uncharted islands inland only money seems to be drained every morning. Makes sense - as while you explore crew might be hunting and gathering local resources, rather than eating what's on ship. 2) Crew is on leave when in port - there is no food, water or money drain while docked in Tikiwara. I suppose they might do their own things, though I find it odd they wouldn't even be paid in that time. My bad. Money still seems to be drained while in Tikiwara. When I was testing it I had to be blind.
  17. You make it sound as if sinking a ship would drain some major supplies. Don't crewmembers gain wounds in combat as well when knocked out? Don't usually go for boarding than can't remember. Depending on a ship sinking it might be easier. One captain especially, is fairly high level, and its much easier to defeat him in ship combat than a melee fight. Still, no matter how you approach it, it is a fairly decent monetary gain. We have seen only one type of ship and little variation in cannons, except those spawned with console commands. Still, I believe that foundation are solid. I don't think it will be a main point of playing a game, but as a sidecontent on your way to the game proper its good.
  18. In previous versions he was bugged but in a different way - he would give you his cloak but cloak never appeared in your inventory. In previous build you crew was hard locked - there was no way of loosing additional crew members. Once you solve the quest with storms, Vektor offers to join your crew as well, though it was never possible to do so. It might be the same case with the cannibal guy - it will be there in full game, but not in beta. Afterall crew you get is enough to complete all the ship content.
  19. 5) This fellow still doesn't join the fan. I don't know if its intended or not. In last beta build he was killable but wouldn't activate. In this build he seems like part of the background even though his buddies sprig up to life to fight. 6) Had no issues with detecting other traps but for some reason these ones must have an extremely high requirements. 7) Soulbound dagger below seems to be broken. It grants "." (nothing) which means it doesn't provide a way to deal burn damage. I have dealt burn damage with Divine Mark however it didn't get registered.
  20. 1) seeing through walls is still a thing in following spots. Camera in centered on "seen" enemies: 2) Full screen is awkward. Grabing a screenshot is oddly difficult (it tends to capture my desktop instead of game) and tabbing out is a pain. I need to use windows key to force wondows menu out, as ALT-TAB doesn't seem to work. Makes documanting bugs and issues a pain. 3) game seems to have issues with resting. After campfire cinematic plays out it fades back to gameplay and screen suddenly goes black. It requires minimizing the game by windows key or ALT-CONTROL-DELETE to resume gameplay 4) game crashes upon exiting and on loading. A team wipe comes with a crash when I try to reload a save.
  21. You didn't get it, or was it consumed? Keep in mind that repairs and crew injuries get instantly healed/repaired while docked if there are enough supplies available.
  22. I think that's the idea. A few enemies in the beta have abilities which force you to move. Scirocco is devasteting if you stay in place. I did beat it on veteran, by luring titan away. Titan was certainly the biggest danger, and mopping up Blights wasn't much of an issue, though three Greater Blights are a disaster. If this time they will balance game properly, it is possible that veteran will be a challenging but fair difficulty. I didn't feel compelled to try PotD in the Deadfire as of yet, which is a good sign. It is possible that Blights are broken in PotD. On veteran Scirocco is dangerous, but you just need to move out of the way.
