  1. Thanks. We get only points abilities of 15+2race+1 orgin. Counted origin twice. Being slower could get away with that, lay off hands + Shieldbearer should give quick response. Int is something hard to sacrifize, droping int means shorter buffs, and smaller AOE and so harder times catching allies/enemies. So that is hard choice.
  2. This is something i like. Priest Holy Radiance is unimpresive. I am generally against nerfs, since if OE nerfs every fun class/combo the game will not be better after that. So buffs: Double Pooling, it is better to have two pools of 2x9 than 1x11. You can just hit more, and classes like fighter/rogue generally do similar thing (dps). Solution: At power level 8th and 9th add passive Zeal Master/Grandmastery providing +3 of your favorite pool. MC cant get that. Priest.Druid, Wizard all have passives at each power level +1 spell use of that level of this class. So yes, you can dump 9 points to cast 3 spells of each level, but you will have poorer spells selection. More neutral passives at level 1. Since sometimes our class abilities at level are like 2 of them , and we can pick 2 total (not much choice for fighter). Or they suck. Or dont fit our glorious idea. So at least could pick stuff like Toughness, Weapon specialization or something defensive. More Neutral Passives which are not very powerful. Could be version of clas passive just worse. If you play Priest you could sink 28 points into spells, and end with nice selection. But you still gonna cast 18 of that. So being able to sink spare points in combat style or mode defenses or extra belt slots is better than extra spell which i would not even cast.
  3. There is a lot of quest collecting, so that is the taking. Players requested "I want option to talk my way out of fight" or "Less trashfights" Catacombs are fine dungeon. You could increase your killcount in some quests, like gloves dudes, D.kingpin guards, withrak trader i suppose. Dont need to kill them, but could. Sometimes they have better gear, so yest they deserve to die. Altering CityQuest and WildQuests is always good idea. NoteToSelf: Kill more thugs, get their weapons.
  4. This is just a sketch. Was thinking about old style healer. Classes: Templar Shieldbearer of st Elega Priest of Eothas Idea: Tank with small/tower shield, throw some buffs, have alot of heals, including fast ones. When bored summon pillar of fire from Priest to gain Virtuos Tryumpf. Could throw decent amount of buffs (care less about Power Level) or blind enemies. Stats: Int 18 very important buffs Mig 15 heals Res 13 need some, probably Per 12 Nice to have Con, Dex cant dump Races: Natur godlike, natural synergy with easy migh but could be nerfed Moon Godlike, more heals Pale elf (elemental defense), Mountain Dwafr/WoodElf/Hearth Orlan (resistances) Weapons: Small Shield (offensive) Tower Shield (defensive) Flail Priest Spells: Pick one more per level, it is not like we could cast more than 2. At each level need 1 spell "I am totally going to cast it always if can". Try to mix heals/buffs/dmg. So can adapt to situation. 1, Sunbeam (free) Restore 2, Withdraw (free) Pillar of Faith 3, Watchful Presence (free) Consacrated ground 4, Circle of Protection (free) Tryumph of Crusades 5, Revive the Fallen (free) Searing Seal(optional) 6, Minor Intercession (free) Pilar of Holy Fire 7, Resurrection(free) Storm of Holy Fire, Paladin Active Powers: Lay of Hands + Greater Lay of Hands (fast heal) Zealous Aura + Exalted Endurance (more heals, and defenses) Flames of Devotion + Shared Flames (buff ellies, could combo with Inspired Triumph) Glorious Beacon + Inspired Beacon (more dmg from allies) Priest (neutral) passives: Mostly buff our casting to be faster, or hit harder. Weapon and Shield Scion of Flame Practical Healer Rapid Castig Spell Resistance Potent Empower Paladin passives: Mostly survival, we can get Triumph with Priest Spell + kill steal with FoD Deep Faith Divine Purpose Aegis of Loyality Inspired Triumph Virtuos Triumph Stoic Steel Party Composition: True pure wizard nuker still welcome. Rogues synergize since they benefit from common blindness. Why Paladin/Priest No use for 28 points on pure Priest, it doesnt matter how many spells per level i know, i could cast only 2. 28 points on Paladin is nice, but could be overkill when it comes to personal defenses, and Zeal goes mostly for Lay of Hands and Inspired Bacon. Personal Defenses of Paladin make Priest last longer, and could even be front body and still cast. Lay of Hands is fast heal we need. Zeolous Aura is instant buff from start Several small buffs from Flames of Devotion, Glorious Bacon, Aegis o Loaylty. Priest spells are sometimes decent or fun. Cant argue with orbital laser. Thoughs?
  5. Fun is the right word. For nukes pure wizard is probably better. +2/3 power levels does count. And level 9 is not that far from start. Wizard/Lifegivier or maybe even Eothas Priest could be insteresting aproach to healing. You still can heal when you need, and throw some buffs. But on top of that can self cast self buffs (like mirror images) or some cc/small nukes.
  6. If someone thinks Wizard is weak definetly should play pure Priest. Gives perspective. Priest is like Wizards but: You cant switch grimoires in combat at will, instead of 2 bonus spells almost of your choice, you get 1 spell know/level from list, which is sometimes decent, sometimes not. At each level you have like half the spells to choose from comparing to wizard. Your buffs sometimes take 3s+4s to cast, and last 10s. (and it is not even the great buff) You also get 60s buffs, but they are single inspiration one, and are single target, and at high levels. Also long casting time. Sometimes your low level inspiration gets outclasses by higher level version of spell, so it is no longer that useful. At level V+ instead of bundled buffs+heals, you just stop getting heal spells.Generally idea "Buffs for faithfull, debuffs for the wicked" is unpopular amony deities. No passives at low levels, you can get some at level 7+ but that is when spells are starting to be interesting. On bright side: If you want play Priest for buffs/heals, go for MC Priest/Chanter, KindWayferer, Lifegiver, Wizard. But buffs and heals is limited utility build.
  7. Dyrwood: War burned land plagued by curse of the dead god. Deadfire: Adventuroes archipelago with shanties, pirates, and too many factions. The god is alive this time, but some dont believe. Generally lighter, but it makes sense.
  8. You could reset all levels but 1st, same with Watcher. It would be nice feature, but it is probably harder to redefine class tree, than just add/remove some abilities. Game is very consistent in telling to not pick MC if you dont know everything. But it is so tempting. It would be nice if companions have a bit more class/combination avaiable. More like 6 not 3. And if there was more neutral abilities avaiable at level 1. Fighter have like 2 class abilities, which i may not even use since discipline is limited. As wizard i could know 4 spells from level 1, but i could cast ony twice so what is the point? And so on. Using console you could refresh your Watcher, just get naked before.
  9. How hard it would be to make console command "Party of 6"? For me 5 is fine, 4 is too few.
  10. One thing to what bugs me is that Maia started romancing Watcher as soon as we hit talk with Stronghold Dude. I know that she is straighforward down to business fighter, also little birds talk she is in great hunger for love. But i am not prepared for such level of thirst. Not big deal, but funny, and not sure if intended that way.
  11. It depends on encounter. I suppose Xoti is spending more time casting from second line. She spends alot time casting. So having bodies frontline is not issue, and often beneficial. You could also turn Pallegina to Pikes, Staves, Rods, Acquebusar, Alabasters. However she is good front fighter (defenses) Also Eder Swashbucker have some mobility tools like charge. So you could dedicate him to deal with casters and archers. Or Recruit both Palegina Herald Maia Scout and just try one and another, see which works better.
  12. Pallagina in Paladin/Chanter mode. Her buffs will be most beneficial for you character, and might as well help Eder. Maia Rogue/Ranger is fair deal. Just Herald will bring more for you.
  13. MC is sometimes good and sometimes not so much, sometimes it is more about flavour. Just avoid very unsynergetic combo. Quick reference: Martial DPS/ More martial DPS - stack passives from both classes, use double resources for favorite active power. Cipher/anything with a stick - The harder you hit, the more focus you gain, more often you can cast. Chanter/anything - unless you are trubadour you not gonna sing faster, so migh as well do something else, cast spells from another class or swing a stick. Tank build/buffs, heals - there is not as many defensive abilities per class, so might as well spread some buffs. Wizard/something - wizard makes good MC, you can either use quick selfbuffs in offencive or defensive way, or use cone/around caster spells. Can use grimoires for free spells, and rotate them from item bar. Shifter/Martial DPS - cast/shift repeat Active ability synergy - using double resources to meet requirments for awesome attacks. Like Paladins Flames of Devotion and Rogue Backstab, but use Rogue Guile for invisibility, but still have powerful FoD strike. Priest/Druid/Wizard - benefit from solo class more. Get more powerful spells faster. Generally single class from level 9 and up have like +2 power level +1 ability point. And that is also good. Things to avoid: Cipher/Priest, spells do not generate focus, and priest group buffs are slow. Some classes have powerful passive, like sneak attack, and subclasses offer second passive, if we can stack two subclasses, for double free passive, and sacrifze something we dont care about... that is good power spark from begining. Like Lifegiver/Wizard. We sacrifize summons, but can summon from wizard if really need to. Soulblade/martial we have less focus, but we get more dmg from other class, and we use less powers, since soul anihilation. Flavoru Power: Beckoner+Wizard with cold and necrotic spells. Pale elf. Maybe not most powerful but you can do homemade necromancer. Some thought: MC having two resource pool, that is quite strong. Maybe some classes could have level 8 or 9 ability to increase their resource by 2or3.
  14. Devoted Goldpack Crusader? You could just retrain to achieve perfect balance of dmg and sustain. You could choose other orger if you want focus on something else, like more dmg for bleakwaker or party support. MoonMoon Godlike. High Might and some Dex/Per. Rest no dump. Cipher could be too squishy, Barbarian is counterproductive with Frenzy.
  15. Paladin+Wizard Evoker. There is even grimoir dedicated to fire spells (Fire and Spark). You could focus on selfbuffs, and going close and personal for some cone or around casters spells. Maghran Priest is an option, but alone it has not enough flame. Chanter has Fylth Mir and Trashed Dragon chants, and drakes. Is also good when multiclassing. Troubadour or Skald probably best. Druid Shifter with Fire Wildstrike.
  16. That is good news. Goth or not, lore dump about animancy will be great addition.
  17. SelfBuffWarrior will not work, so many spells no time for swinging stick. Nature Godlike, can trigger racial either by wizard selfbuffs or priest party buffs. Eothas, Wael list looks useful. High int for duration. No dump dexterity. Need to make choice of either Might for heals and blast. Or Perception for debuffs and CC.
  18. What could help with Wizard/Priest/Druid at early levels is if EO moves some neutral passives to lv 1. Stuff like defenses, toughtness, weapon dmg, elemental penetration, some fast casting, summoning, fast weapon, etc. That way You still can cast like 4 spells total, but then you run out of it, can switch to swinging weapon and it works just fine. It could also be good for other classes which have 3 class abilities at level 1 and choose 2 (so much choice).
  19. The Problem i have with priest is: If you want dps with weapon, then better combine two classes with dps weapon. Stack passives, and use class resource for your favorite abilities. If you are casting spells you are not hitting with stick. Best use of MC Priest imho: /Chanter - you can chant ok with just 7 points in Chanter, and cast. You could even go magran mode with fire chant. /Wizard - free spells from grimoir. /TankBuild - mostly Paladin, Ubroken, Druid Shifter for tanking. You could always do one DPS character + tank/support character and that will just work better. However if it is more about flavour, then Devoted/Berath is as good as it could be.
  20. SInce KotOR i like Jedi classes. And it POE terms Ciphers are nearest. They have mindtricks, kind of Lightsaber and need to stay focused. Generally MC since not many games allow it, and if i can, i do. Cipher/Rogue fits so well RP wise. Cipher/Barbarian works on Serafen just fine. Cipher with Paladin/Fighter/Monk is something to try in the future. Most classes look interesting. MC is very tempting since not many games offer it. POE2 encourages to ask if "can i make Chanter/Wizard, Druid/Ranger, Wizard/Fighter... work" and try to make it happen. Not really into Monks since they work different. No love for Priests since their offer is rather limited.
  21. DPS: Paladin BleakWaker Cipher (Soulblade/Ascendant) for dps Support: Wizard+Chanter - get spells from grimoires, could also cc or blast a little Priest Chanter - could go beckoner, when you are chanting you could do anything else. Could go Wael for some tanking. No synergy: Priest-Cipher priest does not help with cipher focus Priest Druid - very thin on abilities Maybe: Paladin - Shifter thin on abilities, but you dont pick many druid spells but mostly wildform . Pick wildstrike of your choosing. Probably fire.
  22. Overall system is good. And wizard even if butchered they are still kicking (overall worth party slot alot). Grimoires switching is good class ability. There could be limitation if some grimoires themes does not exists (there are some like Spark and Fire). Druids also are fine, since even if you run out spells you could turn into beast. Priest got shortest stick. Holy Radiance is meh. Solution: Each deity gives buff to Holy Radiance, like Magran deals even more fire dmg to enemies, and inspire might to allies. But Wael gives insight to allies but confuses enemies. Stuff like that.
  23. Xoti+Eder+Aloth+Watcher is good start. Add one autoatacker, like Serafen Barb or Maia, or Pallagina You could recruit Ydwin Rogue, she does not talk much, but maybe that is for the best.
  24. There could be passive for casters "1 extra cast of level X spell" probably limited to first levels. There is this situation that wizard early on could pick spells, but if player is fine with grimoire content, then picking extra spells does not change much. What is missing is spell use. Other aproach is to move more neutral passives to level 1. Stuff like weapon style, defensive passives, toughness, elemental dmg. And also make deep pocket neutral passive(extra scroll slots in itembar), also at level 1. But overall game xp accelerates to lv 7, and at this point wizards have nice mix of blast, cc, and defensive spells. Swingging scepters (or other weapon) is not that bad neither.
  25. You should compare wizards with other classes. What other classes can do. What wizard can do. When it comes to aoe cc or burst they hit hard and fast. Nice bonus is that you can get know 18 spells from free, and arguable even more if you find more grimoires which suit you. Disappoitment is that wizards have no passive activity to carry more scrolls in their belt.
