  1. Yes. But I couldn't care less, personally On another note though: love the outrage. Maybe those people will back a new game now. Tricky Obsidian
  2. And those feathers will add a whole new layer to.. eh.. bedroom activities.
  3. Pallegina. Every single time I didn't mind the lack of romance, until she came along
  4. Str: 18 Con: 3 Dex: 18 Per: 5 (Hearth Orlan minimum, I think) Int: 18 Res: 15 (or whatever's left, usually 15) Though for a rogue, I'd drop the Int to 3, push resolve to max and put everything left over in Perception. You really don't need the int.
  5. Still looking for the moon sized plot hole. Oh... btw: Humans have the same amount of hair follicles per square centimeter as apes. The hairs themselves are just much thinner. Make of that what you want
  6. Death Godlikes also have the ability of having one of the most awesome looking head models :3 Yeah, but that's a rather moot achievement in a game where all head models suck ESPECIALLY those of all other Godlikes, and female Aumaua (anyone check those out? My goodness)
  7. The 'no save' mode is already in the game, it's called Trial of Iron. As for the OP: if people wanna sleep after every fight (which I honestly doubt anyone in their right mind is doing), let them. But the lack of difficulty in this game is not because of your ability to sleep all the time and everywhere. It's the mind numbingly stupid opponent AI and the lack of truly difficult encounters, mostly because enemies almost always come from the front, and the front alone, meaning you can nearly always position your party perfectly before the fight even starts. So your tank(s) will take all the heat, while the rest just butchers everyone. More battles where enemies would suddenly attack you from behind while you're already engaged with enemies from the front would increase the game's difficulty by miles. More active targeting of your glass cannons. Enemy rangers should always try to take out your mage/cipher/magicstuffsdude, unless they have a hard time hitting them, then they should switch, enemy rogues should try to do the same. They (all enemies) shouldn't, ever, start a circle jerk around the nigh unhittable tank who hits for 0.5 damage a hit... but they do this, all the time, and unless you are stupid enough to place someone RIGHT NEXT to the circle jerk, they'll just keep on doing it until they die.
  8. I think the racial abilities are all rather strong, greatly making up for the lack of helmets. Nature Godlike: perfect for Barbarian, especially a Barbarian that expects to drop below 50% endurance and even more on Barbarian builds who's goal it is for the Barbarian to be knocked down. Fire Godlike: perfect for Tank. Moon Godlike: Any frontline fighter Death Godlike: everything else.
  9. For any non-tank build... basically every character that isn't a fighter and/or custom companion Paladin (main character Paladin doesn't count because of the reputation bonus, you can pretty much min-max it the same way if it's the main char) Mig: max Con: min Dex: max Per: min Int: max Res: whatever's left over. Which equals to 15 in just about any case. Res over per because of concentration. I wouldn't recommend this for a pure tank build though. I am currently running a game though with Paladin as main tank, which is built like this. Only I fiddled a bit with the Int and Res values, knowing all other saves but deflection will get a ridiculous boost by Faith and Conviction, so I opted for a bit more Res. Still maxed out Str and Dex. Every character in the party is built like the above though. Especially looking forward to seeing the Nature Godlike Barbarian Carnage/Vengeful Defeat built to do it's thing. I don't think I've ever made a character in an RPG that I actually wanted to die... revive with the Paladin.. die again.. revive with Priest, die again And that sweet synergy with the racial power :D (Oh yeah, they all superior will saves. But that's just an added bonus)
  10. And sleeping at your stronghold for 18 years for a super secret companion. Which can be sold to some creepy dude in Gilded Vale.
  11. I'm definitely going to have some characters that will be all about the murdering of Raedric, but from an in-universe perspective, offing his wife can be entirely understandable, and with the character I'm currently playing, a deathlike bleak walker aristocrat, a traditionalist that really hate it when people try to set him up to do things (just ask the vailian trader in Defiance Bay oh no wait he's dead), I'll probably end up working with Raedric, just like I'd probably end up working with the Doemenels if the game didn't insist on bugging out on me. My point being, that I don't really care as much as I think it's weird and inconsistent. It doesn't matter to you, because you're not siding with Raedric anyway, but it doesn't mean that there's no issue. I'd have a problem with any dialogue or quest that didn't offer a variety of solutions or approaches as appropriate to multiple different characters. Hell, I'm the kind of guy that feels physically ill when I do despicable things in games (such as hurling the child to the pavement, or stealing teddy bears in FO3), but I still love that I *could* do those things. And I think it's super-odd that there's no "organic" choice for my character in this instance. It's not a strange or out-of-place sequence of events; Kolsc approached me, I asked him what right he had to rebel against his rightful lord, he told me to consider it, I decided to consider it by seeking out Raedric and talk to him, I was stopped at the gate, told the guards to step aside or I'd spill their guts on the ground, then I spilled their guts on the ground, went inside to talk to the man, and was faced with this. It's not devastating, just.. kinda.. odd. It could be improved, so I brought it up. See, I don't even know who Osya is. I found some Berathian robes on another floor, but I didn't pursue it, because I'm a Bleak Walker, so I'm not going to skulk about anyway, and I had priorities - I'm going to talk to Raedric. Why would I run around the whole castle like some kind of rogue or mind-thief, before I face Raedric? I just wanted to talk. To immediately offer your services might be a bit odd, but there should at least be an option to tell him that you're there to talk about the situation and that you met someone named Kolsc. Or that you don't trust Kolsc. Or, as an Aristocrat, to tell him straight out that you support him, since he's the rightful heir. Or, if you're a Mercenary or Goldpact Knight, just offer your services. But this, as it is, is just kinda.. odd. You're a Bleak Walker, you don't talk. You kill, maybe ask question later. Which is exactly what you got, is it not?
  12. Well, I agree with your point, that in general, RPGs don't need fully voiced PCs, although maybe that's not what you're saying. Even the IE games had voiced NPCs, the only issue is the voiced PC. The choice to voice the PC is what led to the dialogue wheel, and no, I don't like it. I want to be able to select what I'm saying based on, well, reading what I'm about to say. All of it. Not choose it based on a colored emoticon & a "paraphrase". BTW, I'm not the least bothered by reading text while hearing someone else speak it aloud, but at the end of the day, this is an argument over taste; we could argue about vanilla vs. chocolate ice cream; all I can say is that doesn't bother me in Deus Ex, or in this game. I prefer fully voiced, but I don't mind having to read it all. After all, that's what I used to do in the past, it's not something that bothers me. But if you're not going to do full voiced, don't do any at all. All or nothing kinda guy
  13. I find it much, much, muuuuuuuuuuuch more annoying that most portraits don't match the heads.. like at all.
  14. I beat PotD without ever eating something or using a scroll I crafted, using the normal companions. Enchanting is a whole different ballgame though. I used a single stilletto all game long, upgraded it from normal all the way to superb. And I crafted some potions.
  15. I find myself agreeing very much with the review's point. But not with the conclusion. Wtf?
  16. Crying. That is hilarious :D But like NathanH says, that's not how stupid people talk. Still, hilarious.
  17. Positioning is key. Get your tank(s) in position first, make sure they can engage as many enemies as possible (Hold the Line and Defender) and then start slamming with spells, making sure they don't hit your party members. And I'd go for a build like this, for max damage (with weapons and spells): Ignore the race I chose, he's from my all Godlike themed party.
  18. Well, I must be hella weird then, because I don't feel any difference in immersion between reading and fully voiced games. Though fully voiced has my preference, but not for a game like this. In this game, the voice acting is actually annoying and immersion breaking, especially if there's tonnes of flavour text to read and the voice is already already saying it's thing.
  19. This. Sorry Bruce, but for you reasonable Russian is some person who blame own country, own people and prefer be subslave of a West. But for real Russians such behavior looks so strange. We are not some minor nation, who be used to good submissive servants. We are proud Empire citizens, conquerors, we shall rule instead of obey to anyone. Your "reasonable Russians" looks by same way to me as Ancient Romans who dreamed to be a slave in Parthia. Just unbelievable characters they are. Lol lol lol. I suppose Pax Russica (Russian Peace), your location, only comes after they rule the world.
  20. Yeah, saw that Spurs vid. I laughed really hard while my girlfriend looked at me like she was reconsidering our relationship But Blake Griffin is not a post up forward, he's a point forward.. or will be. http://hoopshype.com/columns/david-nurse/why-is-blake-griffin-so-much-better-now Includes vids and everything. Also includes his improved post game in absence of Chris Paul . Article is more recent than your vid But hey, I suppose I'm a little biased. I love (nearly) 7 foot guys who run like guards and can pass like guards. Anthony Davis is also unbelievable.
  21. Nice topic, but there's a spoiler forum for this kind of stuff
